Chapter Index

Of course, I haven’t told them yet that I’m going to create a club. Later, when the club selection period begins, I’ll tell them as a surprise. ‘They’ll definitely all like it, right?’

Anyway, it’s currently the club experience period, so they can’t choose a club yet. It takes time to create a club. I also need to find a club room and a faculty advisor. Most importantly, I need to get permission from the student council. Although Joden, the student council president, considers me his benefactor, I can’t just create a club with only Joden’s permission. Of course, I’ve already made a plan.

“By the way, Loki, are you really not going to tell me what happened back then?” Lucas said to me. The ‘back then’ Lucas was referring to was when the bug and I were inside the fog. Since the bug trembled violently after coming out of the fog, it was natural for him to be curious. When I talked to Yerika on the phone at night, Yerika also asked, curious.

“You’d get hurt if you knew.” Of course, my answer was always the same. Since I didn’t answer, Lucas didn’t ask any further.

“Let’s go eat lunch together in a bit.” Except for one time, I went to eat lunch with Lucas and the special class students.

“Unfortunately, I have a prior engagement today, so I won’t be able to go with you.” “Oh, really? Then it can’t be helped. Who are you eating with?” “Johanna Sunbae-nim.” This morning, while I was training, Johanna asked me to eat with her. Of course, I had no reason to refuse, so I accepted.

“With Princess Freya?” Lucas looked surprised after hearing what I said. Why? We ate together once before. Just as I was about to ask why he was surprised, someone spoke to me.

“Um, someone’s here to see you.” The person who spoke to me was Frederic. Hearing Frederic’s words, I whipped my head around to look outside the classroom. Johanna was waiting for me there.

“Thank you for letting me know. Have a delicious lunch~.” I thanked Frederic and ran over to Johanna.

“Sunbae, why did you come all the way here again? I could have gone to you or we could have met in the middle.” “My class ended early.” “Then shall we go to the cafeteria?” “Mm.”

I was talking with Johanna and didn’t hear Lucas’s voice from behind me. “Should I tell him this too…?”

    … … …

“You haven’t forgotten what I said before, right?” Johanna suddenly said as we walked down the hall. “Huh?” I had asked back in surprise. But Johanna seemed to think I had forgotten.

“……….” Others might not have noticed Johanna’s change in expression, but I could. She’s pouting now. I quickly racked my brain. The answer was easier to find than I thought.

“You’re talking about the club experience, right?! About joining the Disciplinary Committee during the club experience! Of course I haven’t forgotten.” Johanna nodded and opened her mouth.

“Are you available starting tomorrow morning?” “If Sunbae-nim asks, then of course I’m always available!” Johanna’s lips curled up just slightly, as if she was pleased by my words.

“Johanna-nim!!!” Someone called out to Johanna as we walked down the hallway. I could tell they were from the Disciplinary Committee by the armband on their arm.

“If you’re on your way to eat lunch, please eat with us!” “Ah…” With a short sigh, Johanna looked at me. As if asking for my permission. Since there were no bad people among those in the Disciplinary Committee, I answered by nodding my head.

The Disciplinary Committee members flinched, as if they had just noticed me. It’s not like I have no presence.

“Johanna-nim! Could you please wait just a moment, just a very short moment?” They asked Johanna for her understanding and began talking amongst themselves, far away. They seemed to have blocked the sound with mana, as I couldn’t hear their conversation. From their expressions and gestures, I could roughly tell that two opinions were clashing.

After a very short while. They seemed to have decided their opinion and stopped talking. And one of them, as their representative, approached Johanna.

“Johanna-nim, today we’ll eat by ourselves! S-so, please eat with that child alone!” With her eyes tightly shut, her fists clenched, and trembling, it was obvious to anyone that she wanted to eat lunch with Johanna.

“Well done. That was a difficult thing to say!” “We’re so proud of you!” The other Disciplinary Committee members even patted the person who spoke, cheering them on. And then they left, saying to eat well.

Not understanding, I looked at Johanna. Blink blink. Johanna also blinked, as if she didn’t understand the situation either. “Um… should we head to the cafeteria first?”

    … … …

Nothing particularly happened while I ate lunch with Johanna. There was no one trying to pick a fight, like that bug. Some people even subtly avoided me when they saw me. The only difference from usual was that the Disciplinary Committee members kept staring at me while I ate. They looked at me eating with Johanna, on the verge of tears. Some were even genuinely crying.

As I walked, recalling what happened in the cafeteria, I arrived at Professor Idra’s lab. Knock knock. “Come in.” I knocked and entered the lab.

“So, Loki, what brings you to see me?” Professor Idra looked at me, her eyes sparkling.

“It’s not that anything happened; I just found myself wanting to see Professor Idra today, so I came.” Hearing my words, Professor Idra burst into laughter.

“Hahahaha! That’s nice to hear, but is that really all?” “99% is for that reason, and about 1% is for a separate favor I’d like to ask.” “I don’t know if it’s really 1%, but alright. So, what’s the favor?” “I was hoping Professor Idra could become the advisor for the club I’m going to create!” Hearing my words, Professor Idra’s eyes widened in surprise.

“You’re going to create a club yourself?” “Well, there isn’t an existing club that can contain me. So, I decided to create one myself!” “Heh. What kind of activities will the club Loki is creating do?” I told Professor Idra what kind of activities the ‘Clown Union Club’ I was going to create would do.

Professor Idra laughed loudly and gave a playful smile after hearing my words. “Hmm~ Well, what should I do? It’s a request from the clever Loki, so should I grant it? But I’ve been busy with research lately. What to do.” Professor Idra was the only person suitable to be an advisor for such a crazy club.

Professor Idra murmured, ‘Ah, that’s right,’ and opened her mouth. “If you come in first place in my test this afternoon, I’ll become the advisor for the club you create, Loki.” “What kind of test is it?” Professor Idra chuckled and said, “It wouldn’t be fun if you knew beforehand.”

    … … …

“Loki, do you know why we were told to gather outdoors today?” “I’m not sure either.” As Loki was talking with Lucas, Idra opened her mouth.

“Everyone, quiet down. Today, we’re going to play a fun game.” No student believed those words. Because after attending Idra’s classes, everyone knew what kind of professor she was.

“Your reactions aren’t very good. Today, we even have a special prize.” At the mention of a prize, the students became interested.

“The prize is… Ta-da!” All the students were surprised when they saw the item Idra took out. “Crazy, isn’t that an elixir?” Because what Idra took out was an elixir. And it was quite a valuable one. Idra smiled contentedly as the students even drooled upon seeing the elixir.

“The rules of the game are simple. When I say ‘start’ in a moment, everyone will enter the forest and search for blue orbs. The student who finds the most orbs within the time limit will win the prize.” “How about it? Simple, right? Idra said, looking around at the students.” “Are there any other questions?” The students loosened their bodies as if they were about to rush into the forest right away. Because high-grade elixirs are not easy to obtain.

“If not, then start…” “I have a question!” The students stopped just as they were about to dash into the forest. Because someone had raised their hand and spoken. “Loki, do you have a question?” “I’m curious about how much time we’ll be given!” “The time limit is one hour, and when the time is up, a separate signal will be given.”

Loki continued to ask Idra various questions after that. From the size of the orbs to how many there were, and whether students could steal orbs from each other, and so on. “Aren’t there too many questions?” As the questions dragged on, some students complained.

“Everyone, think carefully. We’re competing amongst ourselves anyway, so there’s no need to rush. Wouldn’t it be much better to ask now than to start later and then ask?” Upon hearing Loki’s words, the students’ complaints disappeared. Because, as Loki said, nothing would change by starting late anyway. Other students even raised their hands and asked Idra questions.

Lucas didn’t ask any separate questions and instead loosened his body. Although he had consumed many elixirs, it didn’t mean they were unnecessary. And from a certain point, he started looking at Loki, who was standing still without asking any more questions. The other students didn’t pay attention to Loki and continued asking Idra various questions.

‘Now that I think about it, didn’t he raise his hand *after* Professor Idra said ‘start’?’ Suddenly, goosebumps appeared all over his body. The thought of ‘no way’ and ‘if it’s Loki, anything’s possible’ came to him simultaneously.

“Loki.” Lucas placed his hand on Loki’s shoulder. Swoosh. Lucas’s hand passed right through Loki.

‘That crazy bastard.’ Having assessed the situation, Lucas shouted at Professor Idra. “Professor-nim! How much time is left?!” The other students didn’t understand what Lucas was saying. Naturally, since it hadn’t started yet, didn’t they have an hour left? But Idra smiled and said,

“About 40 minutes left. By the way, when are you all going to start?”

    … … …

Loki pulled out a blue orb that was stuck between the rocks. “Oh, you noticed faster than I thought.” In Loki’s hand, there were already 7 blue orbs.
