Chapter Index

As I trembled, the men who had bumped into my shoulder looked at me once and started talking as if they wanted me to hear.

“He bumped into us, so why is he acting hurt and making a fuss?” “He’s a lowly commoner, probably trying to extort some money out of us with this chance.”

Fortunately, they didn’t seem to hear my laughter. From what the men were saying, it seemed they thought I was pretending to be hurt.

Barely holding back the laughter that threatened to burst out, I looked at the men who had bumped into my shoulder.

“If you bumped into someone, don’t just stare blankly, apologize!”

The reason they’re so arrogant, is it because they think they can beat me, or because they believe that worm will protect them?

“What are you doing, not coming?”

I was contemplating how to deal with them, but there was no need. Clara, who had been walking in front of me, had arrived.

    “Cl-Clara-nim?”

Although they were people from the Arshen Kingdom and Clara was from the Empire, they recognized Clara at once.

After all, Clara awakened her mana right after birth, and she was the Archmage’s only disciple, so it would have been strange if they hadn’t recognized her.

“I am Albham Ricotta of the Ricotta Viscounty, Arshen Kingdom.” “Likewise, I am Saez Baraham of the Baraham Viscounty, Arshen Kingdom.”

Although they were flustered upon seeing Clara, they immediately introduced themselves. Just as I thought, they were from the Arshen Kingdom.

“I said, what are you doing, not coming?”

Clara completely ignored the men’s introductions. As if they were invisible.

“I was looking at Clara-ssi’s beautiful appearance, when I bumped into these gentlemen.”

    “Is that so?”

Only then did Clara look at the men who had bumped into my shoulder. They looked pleased when Clara finally looked at them, but they couldn’t maintain that expression after hearing what Clara said.

“What are you doing? If you bumped into someone, you should apologize.”

“Huh? It seems Clara-nim has misunderstood something, we didn’t bump into him, he came and bumped into us.”

Clara didn’t reply to the man’s words, but looked at me and spoke.

    “Did you bump into them?”

“Although I was staring blankly at Clara-ssi, I did not bump into them.”

“Is that so? Then you guys bumped into him. You guys, apologize quickly.”

Clara, who hadn’t even bothered to reply when the men spoke, accepted my words without question. The men, hearing what Clara said, tried to say something to her, but…

“I need to go quickly. So just apologize.”

When Clara said this, frowning, they couldn’t say anything.

“What’s going on over there?” “Huh? Isn’t that Clara-nim?”

Perhaps because Clara was there, students walking in the corridor started stopping one by one, watching to see what was happening.

The men, perhaps realizing that having many eyes on them wouldn’t be good, apologized to me.

    “Sorry.”

The man’s expression as he apologized was sour.

“People make mistakes like that in life. Just don’t do it again next time.”

The men’s expressions soured even further upon hearing my words. I was about to be satisfied with this, but Clara didn’t seem to be.

“When you apologize, you should bow your head.”

    “That’s…”

The men, perhaps finding it worse than death to bow their heads to me, looked at Clara, but then lowered their eyes upon seeing her.

    “Sorry.”

After bowing their heads and apologizing, the men fled the scene with red faces, as if running away.

“What are you doing? Aren’t you coming?”

Clara spoke to me as I stood there blankly. Snapping out of it, I called out to Clara in a serious voice.

    “Clara-ssi.”

    “What?”

“From now on, can I call you noona?”

Clara, upon hearing my words, looked at me with disdain, then walked towards the classroom for her lesson.

    “Let’s go together!”

    . . .

Clara and I arrived at the classroom where the afternoon lessons were held.

In the classroom, besides Clara and me, several special class students had already arrived. After exchanging brief greetings with them, I naturally sat down in the seat next to Clara.

If someone else had sat next to Clara, she would have told them not to sit there, but Clara confirmed it was me sitting next to her and said nothing.

Students who were not in the special class, perhaps curious about the special class, glanced at the special class students, but didn’t approach them.

    “Clara-ssi.”

    “……”

Clara ignored my call from beside her. She knew that hearing my playful voice meant I was about to say something unimportant.

    “Clara-ssi.”

    “……”

    “Clara-ssi.”

    “……”

As Clara continued to ignore me, I whispered into her ear.

    “Clara noona.”

    “You!”

Clara was startled by my words, and tried to say something, but couldn’t.

    “Good afternoon, everyone!”

Because the professor who had just opened the door and entered had spoken loudly.

The professor who entered was a cute woman with a small stature. If she hadn’t been famous, no one would have thought she was a professor.

The youngest daughter of an Imperial Marquis, the youngest S-rank adventurer, the youngest professor at the academy. Each of these three impressive titles referred to her.

More famously known as the ‘Mad Professor’ at Croi Academy, Professor Idra. She was greeting the students from the podium.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Idra, and I’ll be teaching you from now on. Feel free to call me Professor Idra-nim!”

Students who didn’t know much about Professor Idra smiled with satisfaction at her cute appearance, while students who knew a bit about her couldn’t believe she had such incredible qualifications with such a cute appearance.

And I, who knew Professor Idra well through Croi Academy, prepared myself.

“Oh?! Student Loki, who ignored me and stuck to the Captain-nim, is here too.”

“Professor Idra-nim. If you say that, I’ll be disappointed! The money Professor Alicia-nim gave me was too much to refuse.”

    “Indeed, Captain-nim is quite generous.”

Professor Idra didn’t seem to hold a grudge.

“Alright, then, shall we start the lesson right away?”

Professor Idra said, placing something on the podium.

“How much do you all know about magic tools?”

Professor Idra explained about magic tools. Magic tools refer to devices artificially created by humans, inspired by artifacts.

Unlike artifacts, which can only be obtained in dungeons, magic tools can be created by humans.

“This item I’ve placed on the podium is also a magic tool I created.”

Professor Idra possessed incredible talent in crafting magic tools. Even the insane golem at the entrance ceremony was one of the magic tools Professor Idra had created.

“Among magic tools and artifacts, there are also items that enhance magic. Today, you’ll experience that magic firsthand.”

After saying that, she looked around at the students. I tried my best not to make eye contact, but there was no way my handsome face wouldn’t stand out.

“For the first one, Student Loki seems like a good choice. It’s not that I’m holding a grudge about you taking money from the Captain-nim, or anything.”

She activated her magic, and I felt a headache as if my head was about to split open.

    . . .

Idra looked at Loki, who was sprawled out and screaming in agony.

Originally, she had planned to inform everyone what magic she would use beforehand.

However, before the lesson began, Alicia had given Idra an order.

‘Give the special class students a strong trial, especially Loki. The more he struggles, the stronger he becomes.’

As time passed, Loki let out horrific screams, and a strange glint appeared in Idra’s eyes as she watched him with a pitiful gaze.

“It really was a good idea to become an academy professor.”

Idra, who muttered to herself softly enough that no one could hear, then observed the reactions of the other students.

“Hahahahahaha, look at that. That guy, supposedly an academy student, can’t do anything and is just vulgarly screaming.”

    “””Hahahaha.”””

As Loki struggled helplessly in agony, the Arshen Kingdom student took the opportunity to insult Loki. Other Arshen Kingdom students, hearing this, also mocked and insulted Loki.

Idra found that sight disgusting, but thinking of what would happen soon, she smiled and spoke.

“The magic I used is a spell that causes the target to feel a headache. It’s not a powerful spell, but when used with a magic tool, it becomes threatening.”

After explaining the magic, Idra used the same magic on all the students.

    “””Aaaaaargh!!”””

Ordinary students, as the magic activated, screamed and writhed.

The special class students protected themselves using their own methods. Idra, meanwhile, kept her gaze fixed solely on Loki.

Clara protected herself with mana, but occasionally glanced downwards and frowned.

After a little time passed, Idra stopped using the magic.

As the magic ceased, all the students gasped for breath and rested. However, Loki was still screaming in agony.

    “What’s that guy doing? Puhahahaha!”

As Loki continued to writhe in pain even after the magic stopped, the students watched and laughed at him.

Idra walked over to Loki’s desk, and tapped on it as if knocking.

“Student Loki, it’s over, you can come out now.”

As Idra spoke, Loki, who had been writhing in agony, vanished in an instant, as if an illusion.

As the students who had been laughing at Loki stared blankly at it.

    “Huuuaaahhhwn~ Is it over now?”

From under the desk, Loki emerged, stretching.
