Sunday after Saturday.

I’m experiencing the sadness of not being able to sleep more even though I want to, perhaps because I woke up after sleeping soundly all day.

What a pleasant sadness this is.

While I was going through my grief, I heard a knock on the door and it was Sister Saea who opened the door and came out.

    “Are you here?”

“Yeah. Mom came with me today.”

    “At this time? Why?”

“Dad and Dad told Jaehoon to stay because they caught a lot of fish? Jaehoon is having a party at his house.”

“What kind of party are you having with fish?”

“They say you eat spicy fish stew with raw fish when you come here?”

“Sister, lie down first. Your neck hurts when you stand up.”

I don’t know what kind of nonsense my dads were up to, but as I lay there with my sister and enjoyed the pleasant sadness for a while, the living room started to get noisy.

“I see the dads are here.”

    “Aren’t you going out?”

“I’m curious. But it’s annoying. And if I keep doing this, my dad will come find out?”

“Then I want to be with Jaehoon too.”

Just as I expected, less than 5 minutes later, my dad opened the door without knocking and came in.

    “Son!!”

    “Yeah.”

    “Aren’t you sleeping?”

“Yeah. So you caught a lot?”

“Son. Even if you are a prospective daughter-in-law, wouldn’t it be a bit strange for the two of you to lie down like that and talk?”

It was my dad who opened the door and came in without knocking, but anyway, when I got out of bed with my older sister, he started talking.

“What do you mean, a flatfish is the size of Jaehoon’s body? The name itself is Daegwangeo.”

“When did you say you didn’t like riding a boat?”

“That’s done with a line, but catching it with a fishing rod is different.”

    “So how big is it?”

    “Come out.”

I followed my excited dad into the living room after catching a fish, and there was a giant flatfish the size of a real body.

    “Wow. It’s big.”

“I brought the biggest one whole without cutting it to show you. My dad almost fell into the sea while catching it.”

“If you get lost, you can swim with the flounder, and that’s great. But who’s going to clean that?”

“Still, you just need to do the basic preparation, cut it into pieces, and boil it.”

For some reason, my dad has been meticulous about even cleaning up after himself.

The craftsman seemed to be excited as he showed the mothers pictures of the fish he caught on his cell phone.

For weekend breakfast and lunch, we naturally decided on spicy fish stew and raw fish. The flatfish sashimi came in a Styrofoam box, and I wonder how much of it they caught.

    “How many did you catch?”

“My brother-in-law and I caught about twenty.”

“How many hours did you fish?”

“I did it all day yesterday afternoon until dawn.”

The chairman I knew from his previous life only worked and lived. How on earth did it end up like this?

I’m sure it was his first time fishing last summer. I’m cautiously guessing that he got hooked on fishing after going fishing with his in-laws.

It feels like the snowball that started rolling while I was dating Sae-ah Noona is getting bigger and bigger.

But maybe they didn’t want the mothers to have a hard time. The fathers even brought prepared vegetables and seasonings.

My mom and mother-in-law were already boiling spicy fish stew, and my dad had brought the fish home, so I was setting up a large table in the living room.

“Our son is all grown up.”

“Dad, you’ve grown a lot too.”

    “Is dad the same?”

“No. I can see that you brought prepared vegetables and seasonings, so you’ve grown a lot.”

“Haha. They just gave it to me?”

“You didn’t buy it on purpose?”

“Yeah. When I asked for money to buy me a meal, they took care of everything for me?”

Normally in a situation like this, you would say you bought it even though you didn’t pay for it.

As I was watching him intently, wondering what he was doing, my eyes met with mine.

“Why are you looking at me like that, son?”

“I think I need to buy some iron supplements to help him gain some iron.”

“Haha. Mom, buy it for me. Dad, stay healthy.”

Today too, I gave up on further thoughts and sat in the living room waiting for the food to finish.

The spicy fish stew was finally complete after boiling it for a long time, as per the dads’ insistence that the stew should be boiled for a long time to be delicious.

The spicy fish stew wasn’t even made of bones, so my mom slapped me on the back when I tried to boil it any longer, so I could only boil it for an hour.

Everyone gathered in the living room and started eating raw fish and spicy fish stew, and in the midst of all that, Dad was talking nonsense.

“Should we have a fish party like this once a month?”

    “Going fishing once a month?”

“It’s good to eat fresh fish too~”

“How much did you spend to get this?”

My father and father-in-law suddenly became silent and focused on eating.

“In my opinion, if I go to a restaurant and buy food with the money my dad spends on catching fish, it will be more varied and delicious, right?”

“Son. You shouldn’t live so harshly. It’s not like we don’t have money, right? In-laws? ”

    “I don’t have any?”

    “…..”

Thanks to the truth confession from my brother-in-law, my father was able to eat quietly.

After having a delicious breakfast and lunch with the fish my dad caught, we finished cleaning up.

Naturally, the mothers sit at the table together and the fathers go to the computer together to choose the next destination.

I headed to my room with my older sister and helped her study for the exam that was approaching. After eating spicy fish stew for lunch and dinner, the golden Sunday came to an end.

    ***

    Hell of a Monday.

The beginning of the week is always painful.

This week, I have to go to school for a whopping six days.

I got out of bed, got ready for school, took a quick moment to recharge while watching my older sister Sae-ah on the first floor, and then started walking to school.

The classroom is quieter than usual, perhaps because exam period is approaching.

As I sat quietly in my seat, the children who had no intention of studying were still busy running around and playing.

Meanwhile, there’s a boy in the corner who’s been getting bullied all the time these days.

The other kids were just acting normal, and the bullies were clever enough not to cross the line.

Just watching was frustrating, and interfering was not only pointless, but also couldn’t be a solution.

If it was just a random attack of violence, I would have gone over and stopped it, but it was vague, like throwing a wad of paper or hitting it.

The child being treated didn’t even say anything to stop or give up.

If you look at that sight, wouldn’t anyone lose the desire to help?

As I was watching some kids throw papers at him, the homeroom teacher came in and the morning assembly began.

On Monday, the teacher was having a harder time than usual, so the attendance check was quieter than usual and the teacher left.

As he watched the bullying unfold from the corner again, Kang Cheol-min, the number one target of surveillance, approached him.

“Kids. Why are you throwing paper?”

“Just throwing it out there for fun?”

Oh. I guess he was a better guy than I thought.

Those who threw it said exactly what they thought.

“If you’re going to throw something, throw something more painful than this piece of paper. What’s a wad of paper? ”

“Hey. But you shouldn’t get sick.”

It was a confusing conversation, what was with that kid who told me to throw something that hurt more and what was with those kids who said I shouldn’t get hurt while harassing them?

“If you don’t like it, just say so and don’t just take it.”

“What do you want me to do if you throw it even though I said I didn’t want to?”

“Then why don’t you throw it too? Why are you getting hit like a retard?”

Kang Cheol-min returns to his seat after finishing what he had to say.

I can’t tell if that kid is a good guy or a bad guy.

He seems like a nice guy, but I guess he has the potential to become a gangster.

Thanks to Kang Cheol-min’s intervention, the bullying ended and soon the bell rang and first period began.

As I cast the Bighi Meditation spell, 45 minutes flew by and the paper wad throwing began again.

The boy who had been hit with paper began to pick up the wads of paper that had been thrown at him, wondering if he had just ignored Kang Cheol-min’s words.

The kid who suddenly started throwing papers as soon as he had collected enough.

Suddenly, the scene where they were being bullied started to change into a scene where they were having a snowball fight.

I started to feel incredibly childish when I saw the main culprits of environmental destruction throwing away paper like that.

Anyway, since both of them looked fun, I just enjoyed watching it too.

The paper rang and the scenes I was seeing were not bullying but rather a process of becoming close.

It ended with a friendly laugh.

Maybe I’m just so worn out by the world that my thoughts have rotted away.

The more I thought about how the process of becoming close could be like that, the more curious the development was.

As the second period began, I cast my meditation spell again and lunch time came quickly.

I hurried out to the playground to comfort my tired older sisters, but I must have come too early because they weren’t there yet.

I sat quietly on the bench and waited, and then my sisters appeared.

“Why did my new boyfriend come so early?”

“That’s why it’s always so slow.”

    “He’s needlessly relaxed.”

    “Jaehoon!”

Ignoring the nonsense of my sister’s friends, I sat on the bench with my sister when my sister’s friend suddenly handed me a workbook.

    “Help me with my homework.”

“Sister. That’s not helping, that’s letting go.”

    “Anyway, let me go.”

While I was ignoring what my sister’s friend said, my sister made me a deal that I couldn’t ignore.

“I have a pretty picture of Sae-ah. If you let me know, I’ll send it to you.”

“Sister. You should show me the item first. You don’t know the basics of trading.”

My sister opened her phone and showed me the picture.

“Take more pictures. It has to be prettier than the real thing.”

    “Tsk.”

My sister’s friend gives up and sits back down.

Sister Sae-ah tried to get me to do a deal with her own picture, but it didn’t seem to matter.

“I asked permission to take the picture in the first place. I was going to ask Jaehoon to do his homework.”

“Have you learned the art of reading?”

“I used to be on and off, but now I can tell just by looking at Jaehoon’s face.”

“What am I thinking right now?”

“If you get this right, you’ll get recognized?”

    “…..”

Sister Sae-ah, who is growing up in a way that is not good for me, who has a lot to hide.

Now, I felt like I needed to practice my facial expressions in front of a mirror.

“Why? You don’t like matching faces?”

    “No. It’s good. ”

It would definitely be a good thing if a girlfriend was interested in her boyfriend and got to know him well.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
