Chapter Index

Allen, who was on the floor, was as short as I had expected.

Shine blocks my path as a stranger appears.

“Hmm. It’s you guys? I’ve heard a lot about you from Jinhan.”

As Allen got down on the ground and started walking towards us, the branch that had been carrying him began to return to its original position.

I was left with my mouth open in amazement at the fairytale-like sight.

All the forest revolves around Allen.

As if responding to his every gesture, the direction of the wind blowing around him changed.

“Allen? You can’t be that Allen, right?”

Amy asked back with a surprised expression, as if she knew Allen.

    “Was I that famous?”

“No one can forget the incident where the entire District 5 was covered in trees. At least if they witnessed that news.”

I searched through my hazy memories at Amy’s words.

It was sometime ago. I think I saw that article on the Internet while I was browsing the Internet late at night, drinking beer.

The entire city was covered in giant plants.

I remember the content being something like that.

I assumed it was the work of some crazy scientist, but it seemed like it was actually caused by Allen’s abilities.

“Hey. Was this forest created by Mr. Allen’s ability?”

I asked Allen, poking my head slightly out from under Amy’s legs.

To my question, Allen, who was carrying a backpack, answered with a slight bow.

    “That’s right. My friends.”

    “Friends?”

    “Everyone is alive.”

As if in response to Allen’s words, the entire forest shook.

Saaah- The sound of the forest shaking swept through the surroundings.

“It seems like everyone likes you.”

    Allen looked around and smiled.

    His smile resembled a forest.

It had an inhuman vibe, almost like a spirit from a movie.

“Come on, everyone. I’ll show you the new nest.”

    “A treasure trove?”

Allen said that and turned around to start walking away.

Oh my gosh, I looked closely at his appearance and realized he wasn’t even wearing shoes.

Won’t the soles of your feet hurt?

    “Jeff.”

Shine blocked my path, seemingly reluctant to let me look at Allen.

“Ugh. Shine, look at her. She’s barefoot. Don’t you think her soles are going to hurt?”

    “Jeff.”

    “Okay, I got it. ”

She didn’t seem to like me even mentioning Allen.

I kept my mouth shut as she requested and held out my hand.

Shine grabbed my hand and took a small step back.

“Jin, I’m just asking just in case. Our new headquarters isn’t made of a big tree, is it?”

Jin burst into laughter at Amy’s question.

Ahahaha! His loud laughter spread deep into the forest.

“It was similar. It was almost the correct answer.”

Jin said, his laughter fading away.

Amy sighed, looking reluctant at Jin’s words.

    “Anyway, is everyone okay?”

    “Most of it is.”

I followed Allen with my gaze.

The surrounding area was covered with densely growing trees and large plants, making it difficult to see a clear path.

I wonder where he is going.

    My doubts were soon answered.

After walking for a while, Allen reached out his hand between the large plants.

Then the forest begins to change.

As if clearing a path, the tall plants leaned over to make it easier for Allen to pass.

    “Okay. This way.”

Allen turned and gestured to us.

At that sight, Jin quickly ran and stepped onto the forest path.

Amy and Victor exchanged glances and nodded.

Soon Amy started walking forward, and we all followed behind her.

As we climbed onto the forest path, the wide-open entrance disappeared in an instant.

If another person were to arrive here, it would be difficult to even imagine that there was a path this way.

    ” and…”

As I gazed in admiration at the large plants, Allen came up next to us and said with a smile.

“I’ll open the door for you anytime.”

    Allen’s golden eyes twinkled slightly.

At that sight, Shine blocked my path.

    “Are you Shine?”

Shine did not answer Allen’s question.

    “You’re Jeff.”

Allen’s golden gaze, which had been looking at Shine, then shifts behind her.

    I nodded slightly.

“You are Rain, and Amy, and Victor.”

    Allen’s gaze scanned everyone.

    “Welcome to my home, everyone.”

Allen’s small laughter filled the forest.

The forest also laughed to match the laughter.

The sound of the wind blowing, the sound of grass swaying.

To me it sounded like the forest was laughing.

As I walked along the path that Allen had made, I arrived in front of a huge tree.

The tree that had risen through the clouds had no end in sight.

    “Wow…”

Rain raised his head with his mouth open in a daze.

But perhaps because she couldn’t see the end, her back began to bend backwards.

Lane’s body begins to fall backwards.

She ended up lying on the floor.

    “Big!”

Lane screamed as he lay on the floor.

Even without shouting, everyone there could tell that the tree was huge.

    “Is that it?”

    “That’s right!”

Jin nodded and walked towards the tree.

    Allen followed him.

It was a tree from afar, and it was a tree up close.

Could it be that something was built inside the tree to allow people to live there?

If I think about the buildings that occasionally appear in fairy tales, comics, or various visual media, my guess seems to be correct.

As I was imagining this for a moment, something rose up in front of the tree.

    “Elevator?”

What rose in front of the tree was a large elevator.

    Something that wasn’t there before.

Amy crossed her arms at the sight.

“I told you, Amy, it was a little bit different from what you expected.”

Jin smiled at that sight and said.

“So you’re saying it’s in the basement?”

    “That’s right.”

Jin nodded as Amy stamped her feet on the floor a few times.

We went straight into a machine that seemed to be an elevator.

There is only one button on the inside.

I quickly reached out and pressed the button.

    “Oops.”

It was an action that came out without me knowing.

I was surprised by my actions and looked around, but fortunately no one said anything.

After pressing the button, the elevator started moving.

The doors close slowly and the elevator descends at a rapid pace.

    “How far down are you?”

    “It’s a little deeper than I thought.”

The elevator, which had been going down for a long time, suddenly stopped with a cheerful alarm sound.

    Ding-!

The door of the stopped elevator opened and a wide hallway was revealed, not much different from before.

    “Just like that?”

    “Yeah. That’s right.”

“Is it still the same building?”

“Yeah. I just moved the building.”

    “Is that possible?”

“Why do you think it’s impossible?”

I left Jin and Amy’s conversation behind and stepped into a hallway that felt familiar.

This familiar feeling, this was definitely the place I knew.

“Think about it, Amy. Even if you were a country, you wouldn’t be able to acquire a building the size of your original headquarters in a few days. ”

“That’s true, but how did you get the original building? And how did you put it in the basement?”

When Amy asked incredulously, Jin tried to open his mouth with an excited expression.

Amy, who noticed the hint, cut Jin off and said.

“Ah. Okay. Is that the help of those people?”

    “Uh… Uh. Right.”

Jin’s shoulders slumped at Amy’s words.

He seemed sad that his opportunity to explain excitedly had been taken away.

“Then… So my room is still the same?”

Rain looked at Jin with wavering eyes and asked.

Although she seemed carefree, she seemed to be worried about what would happen to her room.

    I nodded, remembering Rain’s room.

There was a room filled with objects that were full of Rain’s tastes.

I too would be very sad if I lost that room.

    “Okay. I’m doing very well.”

When Jin answered with a smile, Rain jumped up from his seat and shouted.

    “I, I’ll be back for a bit!”

Rain ran quickly in the direction of his room.

“Then everyone, unpack your bags and come up to my office. I have a lot to talk about.”

Jin said that and went back into the elevator.

    Allen was also with Gene.

He smiled at me until the end.

Allen waves his hand with a cool smile.

Shine stood in front of me like a cat with its fur standing on end.

After Jin and Allen disappeared, Victor also walked towards his quarters.

    “I’m back again.”

    I nodded to Amy’s words.

To be honest, I thought I’d never come back here again.

It was fortunate that the white paper left in the room was not lonely.

I gently grabbed the leg of the Big Bagsy that Amy was holding.

A soft sensation is transmitted to your fingertips.

    Amy, Shine, and me.

The three of us walked down a familiar hallway.

But the people who used to fill this place were nowhere to be found.

    An empty street.

For some reason, a lonely atmosphere hung around.

The sound of footsteps, tap-tap-tap, spreads far and wide and then returns.

We returned to the room without saying anything.

The place where Amy, Shine and I stayed together.

Click – the doorknob turns with a small sound.

The view inside was exactly the same as before we left.

I immediately ran inside and hugged Baek-shi.

Lucy’s magic hat on Baek-shi’s head was also intact.

    “I’m back!”

Words that I had never said before came out naturally.

Amy entered the room and carefully placed Big Bagsy down next to Bagsy.

When I compared them side by side like this, I could really feel the difference in size.

Big Bagsy was a whopping five times larger than the White Bagsy.

What this means is that the hidden space behind the back is five times larger than the back of the head.

I licked my tongue as I looked at Amy’s little basket of coffee.

Shine and I unpacked our bags and emptied out the contents.

The sweets, chocolates, and other things that Ferman had packed for him, as well as things of unknown use, spilled out onto the floor.

“Both need to be properly organized?”

    “Yes.”

    “Yeah.”

Shine and I started to organize our things, responding to Amy’s words.

The diary and sketchbook were put in the same place, the chocolates went to the refrigerator, and the strange items that Ferman had brought were taken to Baek-shi’s secret space.

“Where are you going to put that?”

I asked, looking at the book of Emperor’s Studies in Shine’s hand.

After thinking for a moment, Shine put the book behind the Big Bagsy’s back, which he had received as a gift.

The back of the Big Bag is still roomy even when you put in a whole thick book.

It seemed like there was plenty of room for me to go in.

It seemed like Shine hadn’t finished organizing the things in her bag yet.

As I was watching her, I noticed Amy heading to the bathroom and followed her to the bathroom.

Just before the bathroom door closed, I followed her inside.

“Jeff? You want to run an errand?”

Amy asked me curiously as I followed her into the bathroom.

I shook my head and answered.

    “No.”

    “Then?”

    “I want to see Amy.”

Amy’s head begins to tilt to the side.

She didn’t seem to understand what I was saying.

    “Come sit down, Amy.”

I took Amy’s hand and guided her over to the toilet.

Amy, who had been guided by me, sat down on the toilet with a bewildered expression.

    “Hey Jeff?”

    “Huh?”

    I waited for Amy.

    Just like Shine does.

    “What are you doing?”

    “Watch it.”

    “Watch?”

    Amy asked, seeming puzzled.

It seemed like she still didn’t understand what I was saying.

I let out a small sigh and began to explain.

“Amy. Family members even go to the bathroom together.”

I said that and watched Amy’s expression.

Amy just stared blankly at me.

Parrr- Amy’s left eyebrow twitched rapidly.

    That was the moment.

Knock knock knock knock – The sound of Shine’s urgent footsteps rang out several times, and then the firmly closed bathroom door was flung open.

    Shine found me.

She looked surprised when she found Amy inside, then grabbed my arm sharply.

“Ah. You want to see Shine too?”

But Shine didn’t answer my question.

She came out of the bathroom, grabbing my arm with an urgent look on her face.

    “Wait. Shine?”

Amy’s voice is heard from behind.

In response, Shine’s body began to tremble violently.
