by adminEarly morning
Inside a club room in the academy
Four women gathered inside.
Sophia, Artoria, Robina, Janice.
Women who held memories from their past lives.
“Alright. I’m sure everyone knows why we’ve gathered like this today.”
Sophia spoke first.
Nods.
The other three women nodded their heads in agreement.
“It’s better for us to set boundaries amongst ourselves before it’s too late.”
“I don’t like the idea of sharing him with other women… but there’s no choice.”
“He is my lord after all…”
“Alright. Let’s set some boundaries. How should we go about it?”
Janice asked Sophia.
“Firstly, I propose that the four of us form an alliance.”
“An alliance?”
“What does that mean?”
“You must be aware that Ves has been dreaming of past lives.”
“An alliance… Could it be!”
“Yes. We never know when other women might appear and claim to have a past lover relationship with Ves.”
“That’s… Are things going to get more complicated here? That can’t happen…!”
“I also do not wish for such a situation. However, it could happen. That’s why I suggest forming an alliance. It’s better for the four of us to share Ves together, even if we have to compromise with each other, rather than letting him be taken by more women than just us.”
“Indeed.”
“…I agree. Even though I don’t like it.”
“Who would want to make such a proposal willingly? I, too, am not pleased with the idea of sharing my precious Ves with other women. But it seems inevitable, doesn’t it?”
“Alright. I agree.”
“I do too.”
“Then let’s consider it settled with the agreement of all four of us.”
Sophia took out a contract from her bosom.
“This is a magical contract. You are aware of its effects, right?”
“If one violates the terms of the contract, they will face the judgment of magic…”
“In truth, I don’t think any of us gathered here would be bound by such a contract. However, let’s do it this way. If anyone among us breaks the contract, the other three will be judged. What do you say?”
“…That sounds fine.”
“Okay.”
“I agree.”
The four women wrestled with the contract for a while, adding clauses.
“I think this should be sufficient.”
“If we feel the need for additional clauses later on, we’ll add them with the agreement of all four of us.”
“Alright. Now we are all part of a shared destiny. A community striving for Ves’s happiness.”
“Sigh… There’s nothing we can do. Please take care of him.”
“We’re counting on you all.”
The four women shook hands while smiling at each other.
“Hmph. Compared to me and Ves, those women with past lives are nothing!”
“My lord and I will eventually return to Deus’ side!”
“He belongs to me, though.”
Their true feelings were far from that.
And so, the ancient contract was born, evolving into the “Ves’s Wives Alliance” in the future.
Spirit
Among the three powers commonly found in fantasy, one of them is spirits.
Swordsmen fighting with swords, wizards casting spells, and finally, spirit users who command spirits.
Although there are other powers like divine power or mana, these three are generally the most common.
Therefore, Ves, who had attempted to summon spirits in his childhood, failed at that time.
“But maybe it’ll be different now.”
Perhaps he had developed abilities like spirit affinity, similar to acquiring divine power or swordsmanship.
“…Yes. Let’s give it a try.”
The primary requirement for summoning spirits is a spirit stone.
A type of stone that contains a strong essence of nature is referred to as a spirit stone.
Thus, it is a very difficult item to acquire.
“This place is an academy full of hidden pieces and mysteries.”
Thanks to the knowledge of [Eclipse], Vissus already knew the location of dungeons where spirit stones appeared.
Having gained the powers and experiences of past lives, clearing those dungeons alone posed no problem. However,
“It will take at least a month to clear the dungeon.”
Due to the mechanisms present in the dungeon, it was not a place where one could clear it in a short amount of time.
“I’d rather live in the Amshi District than do that.”
Puzzled about what to do.
“Oh, right. I might be late at this rate.”
The time for the academy’s classes had almost passed.
Although classes and grades at the academy were no longer important, not attending might worry them.
Vissus hastily packed up and left the room.
* * *
After class
“Spirit stones?”
“That’s right.”
After all classes had ended,
Vissus sat around in the club room with Artoria, Sophia, Jenice, and Robina, discussing the spirit stone dungeon.
“By the way, Vissus, you mentioned having a new dream this time.”
“Yeah. I dreamed about my past life as a spirit master.”
“Spirit master… Your Highness. In that case, did you have a lover in that dream?”
“Uh… Well.”
With Artoria’s question, the atmosphere turned tense.
“A lover… I’m not sure if you could call it that. It was related to Claudia.”
“The woman from the empire.”
“The bloodthirsty empress who recently ascended to the throne?”
The news that a new rival could emerge made the mood of the four women grim.
Especially Sophia, whose country’s relations with Claudia were not good, had the most hostile atmosphere.
‘Ah… It’s probably best not to talk about what happened with Claudia this morning.’
Even though Vissus wasn’t particularly perceptive about all her past and present, she could tell that bringing it up now was not appropriate.
“If it’s spirit stones you need, I have one.”
Sophia took out a small stone shaped like a cube from her bosom.
“Spirit stone? How did you get such a precious item?”
It wasn’t just any spirit stone; it was top-grade.
It was a 100% pure top-grade spirit stone so valuable that calling it rare would be an understatement.
“…It was originally something I was preparing as a gift.”
Sophia lowered her head as if embarrassed.
“Vissus, if you need it, you can have it anytime. Here.”
Although Sophia didn’t like the fact that Vissus was regaining the power of her past life due to Claudia’s presence, she could tolerate it if it meant something good for Vissus.
‘As long as Vissus is happy….’
“Thank you, Sophia!”
Unconsciously, Vissus hugged Sophia tightly. It was an action prompted by the thought of meeting and apologizing to the two spirits she had parted ways with in her past life.
“Huh? Uh? V-Vissus?”
Bang!
Sophia’s face turned bright red at the unexpected reaction.
‘This woman…!’
‘So brazen!’
‘Do you intend to break the promise we made among ourselves!’
The three women watched this scene unfold.
“Alright! Shall we give it a try then!”
Vissus drew a large magic circle. With memories from her past life, she could create a high-level summoning magic circle.
In the center of the completed magic circle, Vissus inserted the spirit stone given by Sophia.
“Hoo….”
Taking a deep breath, Vissus exerted her magic to activate the magic circle.
Whiiiiiiing
A tremendous gust of wind arose around the Spirit Stone.
“Ugh!”
“What the…!”
The gust was so strong that all five individuals found it difficult to control their bodies.
“…Huh?”
An unprecedented summoning ritual, even beyond Vistus’s memories as a spirit mage from his past life.
Vistus was bewildered.
Did something go wrong?
Why is this happening?
Rustle rustle
The intense gust even tore apart the club room building.
Although the four women could have intervened to stop the gust at that moment, they hesitated to interfere out of fear that Vistus’s summoning might go awry.
Whiiiiiiirrrr
The storm grew stronger gradually.
“Ughhh!”
Vistus pondered whether he should stop the summoning ritual now.
If he were to halt the ritual, he would only lose the Spirit Stone used in the ritual.
He couldn’t afford to casually discard the precious Spirit Stone prepared by Sophia.
However, witnessing harm befalling the women behind him made it unbearable for Vistus.
“Fine. I’ll stop!”
The moment Vistus resolved to halt the summoning ritual…
Whoosh…
The fierce storm that had been raging suddenly disappeared without a trace.
“…Huh?”
Pop
And then, before Vistus’s eyes, something the size of a palm and resembling a small girl popped out.
