Chapter 81: Rondor’s Ball – 8
by fnovelpia
“…I will handle it myself.”
I said for the time being.
Though I had begun to contemplate whether I should leave Vivian, I hid my true feelings with a lie.
Vivian still has many enemies.
If I leave now, she will surely die.
She is still like a candle flickering in a fierce wind, and I can’t strike her unless I block the wind with my body.
It’s my first time experiencing this, and love is such a ruthless emotion.
Reina was silent for a long time, then finally smiled.
“Alright, I’ll support you, Kailo.”
“…Thank you for delivering the news.”
“…Can I ask for just two favors?”
“Go ahead.”
Reina blinked her eyes while smiling.
She looked at me.
“If you ultimately decide to leave Vivian’s side and become the head of the Alan family… if due to my misfortune you get a chance to leave this land… then will you become my knight at that time?”
“The Alan family originally served us. If you decide to leave Vivian, will you serve me then?”
It’s something so far in the future that I can’t be sure of anything.
Maybe I could leave Vivian.
But if all this unfolds as she says, there’s nothing I can’t do.
It’s become too difficult for me to stay by Vivian’s side, and if the only way to escape is with the princess’s help… then I need to repay that favor.
“I will.”
Reina smiled and made her next request.
“…And about the next favor… I’m actually trying to make Prince Thread jealous.”
At the sudden remark, a faint smile broke out.
“Princess? So you like Prince Thread?”
“…Thread likes me. So to gain the upper hand, I need a weapon.”
“What I’ve sensed since earlier is that you’re unexpectedly weak, Princess.”
“You have to do anything to survive in a foreign land. You did the same, didn’t you?”
“Indeed.”
I looked at Prince Thread for a moment.
And I saw Vivian beside him, angry.
Seeing Vivian made my intention to listen to Reina’s words momentarily subside.
“…So what…”
“Kiss me, right now.”
Reina requested.
Looking at her, I burst into a hollow laugh.
“You’ve quite felt the joke, haven’t you.”
Reina laughed and replied.
“…It must not have been fun.”
She looked strangely a bit bitter.
I didn’t think long about it.
I slowly lifted her hand.
And I kissed the back of her hand.
Reina nodded and said.
“…Anyway, it was fun, Kailo-”
Then Vivian appeared.
“Haa… Haa…”
How long did the kissing last?
I am now about to vividly remember the taste of Vivian’s saliva.
It’s sweet and fragrant.
It seems like it’ll be addictive.
“Good?”
Vivian whispered.
“Are you enjoying it, Kailo…”
Contrary to what I expected, that it would stop after a while, our kiss was growing deeper.
Exchanging passionate kisses, our body heat rose, and our breathing became heavy.
Especially since Vivian’s physical strength wasn’t very good, she gradually seemed to get dizzy and even twisted slightly.
It was pathetic.
I tightly closed my eyes.
Could it be this much of bullshit?
I just came back after hearing all those sounds from Reina, and now I need to find a reason to leave Vivian.
I don’t even know why I came to love Vivian.
Father.
My siblings.
All of that is pulling me. .
..But as Vivian wished, she was tightening her leash on me.
I simply couldn’t refuse her kiss.
It felt like my head was melting with joy.
Her grown-up chest kept pressing against my body, and her firm yet soft legs struggled on top of me, writhing back and forth.
Vivian’s arms were hugging my neck as if she would never let go, and her tongue and mouth endlessly sought me out.
This shouldn’t be happening.
Like resisting the temptation of drugs, I stood up with Vivian in my arms.
She might have thought I had moved, but in reality, I hadn’t moved at all.
Still, Vivian didn’t let go of me.
From some point on, Vivian, who used to kiss me with her eyes tightly closed, only clung to me more roughly.
Her legs tightly wrapped around my waist, and she supported her body by pressing her elbows onto my shoulders.
Her hair cascaded over my face, and beneath it, we shared increasingly intense kisses.
And as Vivian’s advances became more persistent, I felt more and more.
Her desperate way of kissing me was not normal.
Was she doing all this just to torment me?
Did she really have no other intentions?
I closed my eyes and accepted her again.
I lifted her hips and kissed her.
The more I accepted her, the more comfortable Vivian seemed to become.
I could strangely feel that she was happier.
Doubt quickly turned into conviction.
I tried to push Vivian away by pressing our foreheads together, but she lifted her head and persistently kissed me.
I attempted a couple more times to separate from her and said.
“…Are you jealous?”
Is it possible she is doing this just to tighten her hold on me?
Vivian was crazy, but not that crazy.
I took a gamble.
She didn’t like me dancing with Princess Reina.
“Ugh…!”
Vivian tried to hide her answer, pulling my mouth closer.
It was the action of someone who had been stabbed in the heart.
She then forcibly intertwined her tongue with mine for a while longer.
In the midst of ecstasy, I kept trying to uncover Vivian’s true feelings.
“Now… Now I understand too. Vivian, I wasn’t the only one, was I?”
“…Shut up…! Don’t… stick out your tongue.”
“You love me too.”
“-Snarl.”
She roughly covered my mouth as if she would block it even if she had to die.
Her arms and legs grew even stronger.
I was so curious about where this frail woman was drawing such strength from.
“Crazy… Heh… Are you crazy… thinking this is just an illusion? Ha… I’m gonna… choke… what…? Why… squish you damn idiot…”
“Faha… Stop denying it. You love me.”
“No!!!”
Vivian screamed as she denied it.
Yet, she didn’t stop kissing me.
As she screamed like this, I also got heated.
I dragged her to the bed and laid her down.
“Ugh!”
Vivian moaned as she fell forcefully onto the bed, but I didn’t stop.
I tore open the belly of her dress and reached underneath to firmly grip her bare chest.
A soft sensation flowed through my hands.
My body tingled with her beauty.
“Is this not enough?”
I asked Vivian.
Vivian didn’t even resist.
She was accepting my hand.
Vivian shook her head.
“No. Absolutely not.”
She acted as if there was a reason to reject my feelings this much.
I couldn’t understand.
If we like each other, shouldn’t we just be honest and feel comfortable?
It’s just the two of us right now.
I don’t just want to share love with her alone.
You surely want it too.
I massaged her chest and pressed my lips against hers again.
Vivian’s previously unwilling tongue came out first.
She passionately mixed her tongue with mine.
‘Kailo, the more you love Vivian Rondor, the more you need to leave. If the Duchess has another man, can you handle it?’
And as we shared this love, Princess Reina’s words echoed in my head.
Someone else would touch this heart?
Would taste these lips?
I couldn’t bear it.
In that anger, I pressed her bare chest harder.
“Ugh…!”
Perhaps it hurt, because Vivian moaned.
I let her go and sat up.
Then I asked again.
“…Is it really not true?”
Vivian shook her head again.
“Am I…..hah…..hah… crazy? To love someone like you? To love an enemy like you?”
I withdrew my hand and grabbed her face.
Before I knew it, I was revealing my true feelings.
I know what it means to be enemies.
I know that we cannot be together.
But I have the confidence to endure that obstacle.
I hoped Vivian would feel the same.
We have freely expressed our anger and hatred towards each other without reservation, but always hidden the affection underlying it.
As our hatred deepens, I could now be sure that the affection is also deep.
She and I are very similar.
So our hearts must be too.
After choosing my words for a moment, I earnestly asked.
“…Can’t it be me?”
But in response to my question, Vivian’s face turned sad.
She looked as if tears were about to burst out at any moment.
No, she was already crying, but perhaps the tears were not flowing.
“…You idiot.”
Vivian said, sniffling.
“…You only realize that now?”
“I…I must never. This is just, holding your leash. You’re just my toy.”
At those words, I felt a realization.
This is indeed a curse.
Seeing that I dont hate Vivian even after hearing this.
This isn’t my emotion.
It’s part of a curse.
I didn’t even realize it and was being controlled like an idiot.
“…Ha…haha.”
That fucking witch cast a filthy strong curse on me.
And now that I realized it’s a curse, I no longer have the will to endure it.
I sat up and wiped my lips.
“Alright, I get it.”
If it becomes safe.
Even though I decided to resist the curse, I foolishly set one more condition.
If Vivian becomes safe…. if she can live well without me.
…then I’ll leave.
We now accept the obvious fact that we cannot be together.
