Chapter 166

    Chapter 166

    Otherworld Demon King Survival Guide.

    Episode 166: Collision (9)

I immediately packed my belongings and set out.

“Though it’s just an orc, I can’t help but feel pity for it. To be framed for everything.”

Vanessa, who was following by my side, said that.

“You are truly a wicked Demon King, in both name and essence!”

“No. What are you talking about? Killing orcs is beneficial for humans. You say to kill them on sight, so why complain to me?”

“That may be, but… it’s the intent that’s evil. The intent. To prepare something like this.”

    —Squish.

    The luggage Vanessa pointed at.

Inside the luggage were several spoils of war. Yes, the armor of the victims. Among them was the clothing Vanessa had been wearing.

Similarly, the belongings of adventurers and nuns were also packed inside. Literally, a comprehensive gift set for the deceased, including mementos and such.

Even all of these were soiled with blood and mud.

If such a thing were found in an orc tribe, it would be possible to add a bit more detail. Of course, since not all the spoils were included, suspicion could arise, but that’s unavoidable.

The orcs might not take everything, after all.

Honestly, it’s a pity, but what could we do? We only acted with detail for safety.

“Anyway, if we get past this crisis well, it will be safer. In the end, whether we hunt orcs for food or use them like this to kill them, the result is the same. It’s about us surviving a bit longer.”

    “Such sophistry!”

Vanessa seemed to be in a bad mood today.

“No. Why are you in such a bad mood, Lady Vanessa? Is it because I haven’t been touching you recently?”

    “What, what?! That’s not…!”

Vanessa’s face turned bright red. Frustration, pure frustration. She’s protesting because I hadn’t touched her recently due to lack of time.

“Hehehe, understood. Once this is all over, I’ll leisurely touch you. I’ve also felt uncomfortable leaving beautiful Lady Vanessa alone.”

    “Sh-shut up…!”

    How cute.

“Ah, by the way. How is the new girl, Ruby?”

“Changing the subject! Well, she’s timid, so she follows along well. The complete opposite type from Lilriel.”

    “Has Lilriel said anything?”

“She’s being guided so that such misfortunes don’t occur.”

    That’s good to hear.

So, Vanessa and I continued our conversation as we walked. After all, Vanessa was the expert in combat matters.

    “Kek, Master! We’re almost there!”

    “Oh? Where are we?”

“Just a bit more and we’ll be in orc territory! Kek!”

“Alright, alright. When we arrive, you stop the kids.”

    “Kek!”

    We’ll be arriving soon.

    “Shaa. Master.”

    “Hm? What’s up, Sharan?”

“What if the orcs attack us? Wouldn’t it be troublesome if we fight them?”

    “That’s true.”

    Timing was crucial here.

The human regular army had advanced within our scouting range. In such a situation, it would be inconvenient to get entangled with the orcs.

But we couldn’t just leave them be. It’s better if the orcs caused a bit of a commotion.

So, we’d give them just the minimum provocation. After dealing with these luggages as trash, we’d immediately run away and lock the door.

“Everyone, pay attention! We are about to enter orc territory! If you spot an orc, do not attack rashly but focus on defense! Understood?”

    “Kek!”

And so, we entered the orc territory.

    And then,

    “Squeak!”

    “Squee-eak!”

I came face to face with two orcs.

    “Are they guards?”

The two orcs, wielding crude weapons, displayed hostility towards us as we entered their territory.

    “Squee-eak!”

Since we outnumbered them, they wouldn’t attack rashly. But they seemed scared, obviously disadvantaged by our numbers.

    “Hehehe.”

But it’s curious they were not running away… Was it because of the standoff? Anyway, there’s no fun in dealing with these big, pot-bellied, and muscular-armed creatures.

    So,

    “Buril, open the luggage.”

    “Kek.”

I took some items to use as bait and approached the orcs, escorted by Sharan and Vanessa.

    “Squeak!”

    “Squee-eak!”

The orcs made aggressive squeaking noises. Of course, I simply ignored them and, after getting somewhat close,

    —Thud.

    I dropped the items.

“You might not understand, but these are for you.”

Though they might not grasp my words, body language should suffice. As I gestured towards the dropped items and mimed picking them up, the orcs tilted their heads in confusion.

    “Squeak?”

    “Take them.”

After conveying the message, I went back, brought more items, and dropped them again. After piling up all the items I had brought,

“Then take them. They’re a gift.”

    “Squeak…?”

We retreated to a safe distance.

“Kek. Master, it’s a bit of a waste.”

“I feel the same. Anyway, let’s watch what they do.”

We observed the orc guards from our position.

    “Squeak, squeak.”

    “Squeak squeak.”

The orcs started squeaking among themselves, picked up the dropped items, and showed signs of confusion.

    “Squeak? Squee-eak?”

    “Squeak squeak.”

It’s frustrating not understanding what they’re saying. Anyway, as we casually observed,

    “Squeak.”

The orcs began to walk back with a few of the items.

    “Good!”

This way, the items of the victims would flow into their community!

“Shaa! Master! The plan was a success!”

    “Hehehe! Yes!”

    “Shall we retreat now?”

“No. Let’s watch a bit more.”

I was also considering causing a bit of a commotion.

In that manner, we continued to observe the orcs transporting the items.

The guards who had left came back with a few more of their kind and started to seriously gather the items.

    “Hmm?”

But they’re not taking everything. After checking, they left behind the items that didn’t interest them. Those could either be left there or retrieved later.

    “Squeak, squeak.”

The orcs had gathered all the items, and just when two more appeared to make a final check,

    “Let’s go back, kids.”

We revealed ourselves again in front of the orcs.

    “Squeak…?”

Upon our arrival, the orcs communicated with gestures among themselves. Their guard seemed more relaxed than before, truly slackened.

    “Squeak squeak.”

They hesitated but slowly approached us.

Did they understand that we had given them a gift? I was not sure if orcs possessed the intelligence for that. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a gift.

It was akin to an assassination bomb.

During the Western frontier era, white men gave gifts to the Indians, consisting of items used by smallpox patients. The Indians accepted these gifts without suspicion, happily dancing and singing in hope of an eternal alliance between the Indians and whites.

As a result, the Indians were decimated by smallpox.

It was a foolish act to allow one’s heart to be swayed by gifts, even in a life-or-death war. The price of foolishness on the battlefield is solely death. They should not have allowed their hearts to be swayed.

To kill and be killed is the essence of history and the world. There is no justice, morality, or goodness. The essence of sentient beings is to harm and kill others. Without an absolute god in this world, how could there be good, evil, or truth? If there is justice, it’s about fighting over limited resources for survival, killing, and being killed. There can be no other definition.

    “Squeak.”

Watching the orc slowly approach us, I gave the order.

    “Everyone. Invert your spears. Execute.”

    “Kek!”

    “Kek!”

Following my command, the goblins quickly grasped their spears upside down.

“Attack! Beat the hell out of them! Don’t kill, just beat them till they’re ragged!!!”

    —Whoosh!

At my command, we dashed forward!

    “Kyaaaaaaaak!”

    “Krrrrrk!”

    The orcs were horrified.

    “Squeak?!”

    “Squee-eak?!”

Caught off-guard and shocked, they tried to resist, grabbing their stone axes, but our weapons’ length and the number of our forces overwhelmingly surpassed theirs.

    “Kyaaaak!”

    “Squee-eak!”

The two orcs were mercilessly beaten by my goblins, screaming in agony.

    “Squeak! Squee-eak!”

    —Thud!

    —Thump!

The orcs were beaten as if it were the dog days of summer. We didn’t kill them. Instead, the other orcs had to carry back the injured ones.

Killing and injuring are worlds apart.

If they were dead, even the low-intelligence orcs would rampage on the spot in blind fury. However, if only injured, they would likely return and coolly devise a policy regarding this incident. In a way, I’m giving them time to gather their wits.

If the orcs started preparing for war in earnest with the time given…

That’s when the human regular army would appear.

    “Perfect…!”

The orcs would be annihilated, and any suspicion about us would be cleared while the human regular army would also suffer damage! A perfect strategy! It didn’t matter if an orc tribe was annihilated! Were they my tribe? I just needed to protect my subordinates!

    “Stop! Enough beating, let’s retreat!”

    “Kek!!!”

Upon my command, the goblins turned back, leaving the battered orcs behind.

“Quickly retreat! Sharan, erase our traces as we go!”

“Shaa! But it’s too long, can’t do it all!”

“Do as much as you can!”

    “Yes, Master!”

With that, the preparations were complete.

Now, we just need to return, block the dungeon entrance, prepare for any contingency, and observe the situation.

“Huh… It doesn’t sit well with me that humans and monsters are made to fight each other due to the Devil King’s scheme.”

“Lady Vanessa, you are now a demon too. Accept it.”

    “That… I cannot easily accept.”

    “Eh, don’t be like that.”

    —Squeeze.

I touched Vanessa’s buttocks, causing her to shout.

“Ah…! You really indulge in lewd acts! Focus on returning! If we’re unlucky, the orcs could attack us immediately!”

Yet, she didn’t push my hand away.

    “Yes, yes. We should.”

“Master. Sharan wants her buttocks touched too.”

Seemingly jealous, Sharan clung to me and said that.

“Hehehe, alright. I’ll do it when we get back.”

“Shaa. Sharan will dance for you.”

    “You’re so nice!”

Having finished our tasks, let’s have some fun.

    “Master.”

    “Yeah? What is it, Buril?”

“Should I show you my butt dance too? Kek.”

    “No need, dude!!!”

    “Kerurung~”

    Shit!
