by fnovelpia“…That’s a unique name.”
“Instructor, could you tell us what they’re about?”
“You’ll know if you read them. These are the books you’ll be taking anyway.”
Das Kapital. The Doctrine of Fascism. Anarchist.
As you can guess from the names, they are all magical tomes filled with impure content.
‘It was hell editing them.’
There were no proper Korean translations, so I memorized the original versions and translated them into this language.
Cutting out or modifying the parts that mentioned the countries of Earth.
Changing metaphors and technical descriptions to fit the era, and so on and so forth.
It was incredibly difficult.
Especially Das Kapital.
Marx, that son of a bitch, is truly the original Communist Devil, his writing is so damn complicated.
Rambling prose is the default, and it’s overflowing with philosophical expressions.
It was so hard to rewrite it so that even kids could understand it. That process alone took two weeks?
“Still, you must be curious, so let me introduce them… First, Das Kapital is for students who care about the people. It’s beneficial for those who are interested in the lives and livelihoods of the class that makes up most of the country.”
To summarize the completed content, first of all, Das Kapital is as many people know it. However, it was adjusted to the realities of this world, and the intensity of the claims was raised a bit more.
[The value of all commodities is composed of use value and exchange value. Exchange value refers to the average amount of labor input required for production.]
[Capitalists pay wages to workers, but workers produce more value than that, that is, surplus value. Surplus value is exploited and accumulated by capitalists, and in this process, workers become increasingly impoverished and capital is condensed and concentrated.]
It pointed out the fundamental structure of the capitalist system and emphasized its flaws.
So that they could understand why the lower classes live in poverty and terrible lives.
[Therefore, production is privatized by the group of workers, but conversely, ownership tends to be privatized by a small number of capitalists. While workers cannot escape poverty, a small number of wealthy people become even richer.
This is a phenomenon that inevitably appears under the capitalist system.]
[Supply continues to increase due to ever-expanding production. As technology advances and labor becomes more intensive, its efficiency and scale become even greater.
However, capitalists exploit workers to beat competitors and gain an advantage in the market. Conversely, a situation arises where supply cannot keep up with demand.]
[When these internal contradictions of the system reach their peak, the conflict between classes inevitably intensifies into struggle. If the working class wins that struggle, capitalism will collapse, and society can transition to the next, more advanced system, that is, socialism.]
It informed them of the future and the results that would occur if those problems were not resolved, and explained the ending that would follow.
Even if the system that has dominated humanity for thousands of years collapses, there is a next stage.
And that it might even be better than now.
Of course, that didn’t happen on Earth.
Capitalism chose to realize and improve its own contradictions and shortcomings.
As a result, concepts such as Keynesianism and modified capitalism appeared, which alleviated social disparities.
But here?
‘Capitalism isn’t even conceptualized yet?’
The students here know how to distinguish between capitalism and socialism because I taught them.
They also know that primitive systems like physiocracy and mercantilism have been mainstream until now, but modern capitalism is now growing, starting with Hispania.
But what about the outside world?
There isn’t even a concept of economics yet. They’re too busy trying to follow the distorted “Wealth of Nations” that I spread.
‘It definitely can’t be improved in the short term.’
Even without steam engines, division of labor has been introduced and labor exploitation has begun to become rampant.
Even the contempt for the weak and exploitation is justified by the excuse of Malthusianism (although I deliberately intended it).
The development of technology is far behind the social awareness and academic level. There are many factors that prevent it from catching up.
It will probably take at least 10 years to recognize the problem and see attempts to improve it.
Now is the perfect time for a socialist revolution.
‘In this situation, Das Kapital is the Cheonma Divine Art itself.’
It’s a theory that works even if the opponent has logic and foundation to refute it, so what’s the point if they don’t.
They absolutely can’t stop it except by beating it with force. And it’s questionable whether that force will be effective.
“Conversely, The Doctrine of Fascism is good for students who like integration and unity. I prepared it for students who want the country to unite as one rather than be divided and fight.”
On the other hand, fascism is at the opposite end of socialism.
It has some similarities in the management of capital and economic operation, but otherwise, all elements are the opposite.
If socialism pursues an equal society and democracy, fascism admires totalitarian control.
If socialism values international cooperation, fascism glorifies conquest and war.
It wasn’t always actually like that, but ideologically speaking, that’s the story.
‘In a word, they are incompatible.’
But to put it another way. Being at opposite ends also means that they are equal in strength.
It means that it has an appeal that captivates people with a different black taste than the red taste ideology.
Italy and Nazi Germany are prime examples.
Fascism became dominant because they hated the Reds, but the system was maintained because it was popular enough to be a replacement.
Until it was destroyed by war.
‘It suits people who don’t like change.’
The more people dislike extreme system changes, the more they will prefer it.
Especially the vested interests and wealthy people whose heads will be cut off if a communist revolution breaks out.
The Doctrine of Fascism is an essay explaining this ideological identity. The author is Benito Mussolini.
In that the founder of the ideology directly explains it in the book, it can be said to be similar to Das Kapital.
[The era so far has been the century of feudalism and religion. But there is no reason why the coming era should be. We believe that a new ‘era of the state’ will come, breaking away from indulgence and the bad habits of the old era.]
[The Fascist concept of the state encompasses everything, and without the state, there is no value in human beings or souls. No organization exists apart from the state, and the state creates the people, not the people creating the state.]
Banana-to Marshmelloni, no, Mussolini said in the book.
Only a thoroughly controlled society and a united people can guarantee a hopeful future.
An exclusive totalitarian society based on nationalism is superior to any other system.
[Fascists do not believe in the possibility of permanent peace. Such dreams are nothing more than vain delusions. Only war maximizes human power and gives nobility to those who have the courage to face it.]
[The manifestation of national power and strong military force are created by the people belonging to the state. People who are willing to sacrifice themselves, breaking away from old conflicts and confrontations, are essential to a just community.]
The maximum capacity of the state is achieved when the government manages all elements, and anything that hinders it should be removed.
Inferior systems like democracy and communism will never be able to stand up to fascism, which is always prepared for war.
To summarize, it’s roughly this claim.
I think there are many people who will be tempted by this.
At least it is much more developed than the old feudal system and aristocratic society. It is much easier to accept than communism.
“Finally, Anarchist… is suitable for students who hate control and domination. It will be necessary for those who value individual freedom and rights above all else.”
I wrote the third book myself. I collected and mixed the books of representative anarchists.
The base is from Proudhon’s “What is Property?” and Mikhail Bakunin’s “God and the State”.
Here, I slightly mixed and modified the writings of Pyotr Kropotkin and Errico Malatesta.
I made it so that you can understand and practice anarchism by reading just one book.
‘It’s hard to make multiple books.’
Anarchism is not an ideology in which one person created the fundamentals and system, so this was necessary.
Originally, to understand it properly, you would have to devour several classical theoretical books.
The students won’t have time for that, so I have no choice but to summarize and organize it.
Ah, and there are individualist and collectivist anarchism, but I deliberately excluded individualist theories.
Since it values individual sovereignty and independence, it is not very helpful for social change.
[Property is theft. It is different from items that individuals own (possession) and use. Property is the right to exploit the labor of others for profit. This is essentially no different from robbery.]
[Property rights are an artificial system in which the state and law protect the interests of the strong. To escape this oppression where power and wealth are combined, cooperation and economic activity based on mutual aid are essential.]
So the main points of the completed book are roughly three.
First of all, the first is to urge resistance to the control of state power and the collusion between politics and the economy.
[God symbolizes human subjugation. Faith is a tool that suppresses human reason and freedom and is used by those in power to control the masses.
Believing in a goddess is a virtue befitting a person. However, rather than following a church that is manipulated by those in power, you must build your own faith.]
[Revolutions must be brought about by the voluntary solidarity of the ruled. Strikes and demonstrations are prime examples. However, in reality, it is difficult for the people to launch an independent resistance movement, so the existence of a thinker to lead them is important.]
[Freedom comes from solidarity, not obedience. The violence of anarchists is resistance to oppression, but its goal must be to build a free society.]
Following this, the second is the refusal to cooperate with existing churches and disobedience to the old system.
The final third is to emphasize the need for collective action for a society of individual sovereignty.
‘Maybe it’ll be pushed back by socialism or fascism.’
Since the intensity of the claims is weak, it will be difficult to become the leading force of the country.
At best, it will form anti-government forces or terrorist groups.
Still, it didn’t matter to me.
Anyway, the two ideologies in front of it will stir up the world with excitement.
It’s enough for anarchism to appear after that and destroy the old system that survived.
“I’ll call out the names, so come out in order and receive them. First, Herman Meyer?”
I called the students one by one and presented each of them with a book that suited them.
Along with words of encouragement that they should work hard to achieve their dreams even after I leave.
Since there weren’t many people, the distribution ceremony ended in a few minutes.
“Well then, I’ll be going now. Everyone, stay healthy. I hope we meet again someday if the opportunity arises.”
“T, thank you for everything, Instructor!”
“I hope to see you again someday!”
I don’t know how many of them will act as I wish. Still, it would be nice if at least two or three people succeeded.
* * * * *
But at this time, I didn’t know yet.
How big the small seed I planted would grow.
