    Episode 639. Succubus’s Love

    “… Ah.”

    My body feels heavy.

I struggle to lift my heavy eyelids.

Along with the morning sunlight, the fatigue from last night washed over me all at once.

‘What time did we go until yesterday?’

I turn my head and see Baek Ahyoung sleeping beside me.

I gently caress Baek Ahyoung’s chest as she sleeps soundly, recalling last night.

Slowly retracing my faint memories, I recall we stopped after exactly seven times before collapsing.

Judging by Baek Ahyoung’s lack of reaction in my memory, she might have passed out before then.

It seems I couldn’t hold back, likely due to being too busy handling monsters from the Underworld recently and not being able to relieve my urges.

    ‘Clean.’

First, I tidied up the damp bed.

The time is now 10 AM.

It’s time for the regular medical check-up.

Baek Ahyoung usually handles this, but she’s still fast asleep.

Even though I forbade entry to the room last night citing a detailed examination, it would be strange if she hadn’t contacted me by the time of the medical check-up after staying up all night.

Another medical team might come in.

    Swish- Swoosh-

I dressed Baek Ahyoung in clean clothes using Clean and laid her on the nurse’s cot.

She must be quite exhausted, as she didn’t wake up even when magic levitated her body.

    Knock knock.

Just as I put on my patient gown, a knock sounded.

    “Yes. I’m awake. Come in.”

“Hello, Mage Lee Hoyeon. Actually, the Saintess… Gasp? Wh-what happened?!”

The medical team entering the room startled upon seeing Baek Ahyoung and rushed over.

I smiled and gave the answer I had prepared.

“She had a seizure last night, so the Saintess stayed up all night nursing her. She just fell asleep, so please leave her be.”

“Ah, ah…! I see. Understood. Are you alright? Should I call another doctor?”

“I’m fine. I’m more worried about the Saintess waking up since she just fell asleep. I’ll contact you again when she wakes up. Also, the seizure kept me from sleeping well too. Please ensure no one enters the room until I contact you.”

    “Ah. Understood.”

I put my index finger to my lips, signaling for quiet. The medical team nodded and quietly exited the room.

If I said that much, they shouldn’t bother me for a while.

    “… Should I sleep a bit more? I’m tired.”

    Click-

Although I told the medical team, just in case, I used my magic to lock the room door and carefully lay back down next to Baek Ahyoung, making sure not to wake her.

Then, holding Baek Ahyoung close, I caressed her chest and closed my eyes.

Looks like I overdid it last night.

I should sleep until Baek Ahyoung wakes up.

    *

    A few days later.

After finally managing to calm Baek Ahyoung, who was protesting the need for a week-long hospital stay, I was able to discharge her.

As much as I wanted to stay at the hospital playing around with Baek Ahyoung forever, I had far too much to do.

    “H-Hoyeon…. Sob. Honey… Mmph. Mmph….”

“… Ayoung-ah. This is the airport. Please be quiet.”

    “Mmph mmph…. Mmph, Hon, mmph….”

Seeing Baek Ahyoung trying to cling to me with a tearful face and Sol stopping her, I let out a wry smile.

On the way back to Korea, I planned to travel with the two of them who were heading back to the Academy, but it wasn’t easy starting from the airport.

“Please take care of her. Professor Sol. I’ll visit your lab later. And you too, Ayoung-ssi.”

“Yeah. It’s a shame I couldn’t spar with my student. Still, thanks to Hoyeon, I have plenty to do with Karkus’s head and heart.”

“I have ownership, so the best parts should go to you, Professor.”

    “Hon… Mmph…!”

    “… Ayoung-ssi. We’ll meet again in Korea.”

Anyone would think we were parting forever.

She’s acting like this even though we were together at the hospital for days.

In the end, I hugged Baek Ahyoung once, and then, not wanting to show favoritism, hugged Im Sol standing nearby before we could board the plane.

The magic plane arrived in Korea in an instant.

After sending Baek Ahyoung and Im Sol off to the Academy, I headed home alone.

“Why does coming back to Korea feel like it’s been so long?”

As soon as I opened the front door, familiar voices reached my ears.

    “Vroooom. Vrooooom!”

    “L-Liliana unnie…! Do it more!”

In the living room, Liliana was using her magic to float Dahee around.

    “Hoyeon-ah…! You’re back?”

Finding the sight amusing, I watched quietly for a moment when Nam Daeun trotted over and hugged me.

She looked like a wife welcoming back her husband from a business trip, bringing a smile to my face.

“Yes. Daeun-ah. Did you wait long?”

“… No. It’s okay. But I was worried when I heard you were hurt.”

“I contacted you to let you know I was fine.”

    “Still… Hmm.”

Stroking Nam Daeun, who was hugging me as if to confirm my presence, I walked into the living room.

“Hoyeon-nim? Thankfully, you’re alive and well.”

    “Baby’s Daddy. You’re back?”

Scarlet and Rebecca-ssi, who were drinking coffee, also greeted me.

Accepting the coffee Scarlet poured, I asked about what Liliana was doing.

“Thanks. But what are those two doing over there?”

“I’m not quite sure either. Recently, Liliana-nim started playing like that, saying her magic has gotten stronger. Yesterday, she lifted Nam Daeun-yang, and Daeun-yang got angry.”

“S-Scarlet-ssi. Please don’t bring that up.”

I chuckled and brought the coffee to my lips.

As always, home felt comfortable, even after being away.

“Baby’s Daddy. We heard you were badly hurt in America, are you okay?”

“Thank you for your concern. But I’ve completely recovered, so don’t worry.”

“Yes. You look fine on the outside, but I was wondering if there might be problems you can’t see.”

    “What?”

    “It’s nothing.”

Anyone could tell she was hiding something.

I eyed Rebecca suspiciously when Scarlet chimed in beside me.

“She’s been saying for a while now if there might be an issue with Hoyeon-nim’s sexual function, and I think that’s what she meant.”

“Scarlet-yang. How could you say that to Baby’s Daddy?”

    Sexual function?

Huh? Did I hear that wrong?

“Sexual function? Rebecca-ssi. How could you say something like that to your husband?”

To utter such an insult, I’ll have to show her a hot taste of my own tonight.

“… But even when I jump on Baby’s Daddy every ovulation, I don’t get pregnant.”

“R-Rebecca-ssi. Dahee is here, please lower your voice.”

Nam Daeun blushed and tried to stop Rebecca, but Rebecca continued, sounding wronged.

“I’m seriously concerned. Even eating foods supposedly good for pregnancy every day, if I still don’t conceive, isn’t it Baby’s Daddy’s problem?”

“Hah. Huh? Wow… Rebecca-ssi. Tonight, no. Take it off right now.”

    “H-Hoyeon-ah….”

“Hoyeon-nim. Please restrain yourself for now. Rebecca-nim too.”

I tried to prove my masculinity right then and there, but Nam Daeun and Scarlet grabbed my arms, stopping me, allowing me to calm down.

Right. Dahee is here, so let’s not cause a scene at home.

If I did, I’d be no different from Liliana.

As soon as Nam Daeun saw I had calmed down, she turned to Rebecca and said.

“Rebecca-ssi, apologize quickly. Saying Hoyeon’s sex, sexual function is the problem… I heard that pregnancy is naturally difficult sometimes.”

    “I’m sorry. Baby’s Daddy… But I really want to get pregnant….”

    “… It’s okay. I’ll try harder too. Rebecca-ssi.”

I nodded, looking at Rebecca’s remorseful face.

I accept the apology, but I cannot forget this insult.

I’ll wash it all away tonight.

    *

    A few hours later.

Unfortunately, there was no immediate time to prove Lee Hoyeon’s sexual function.

The heroines, after dinner, went to their rooms citing other tasks.

Curious, I tried to follow Rebecca to her room, but she said she planned to go to the orphanage today to teach magic to a kid from the Rune tribe.

“Ah. Since Baby’s Daddy and I have trouble conceiving, I don’t plan on touching that kid, so don’t worry!”

    “… Rebecca-ssi.”

“Hehe. Just kidding. It’s my turn today, so you better be waiting.”

“I don’t do things with words. Be ready tonight.”

Ultimately, the time for revenge was postponed.

Lee Hoyeon came out to the living room and stared blankly at the yard.

Playing in the yard were Nam Dahee and Liliana.

Nam Dahee, having time off due to the Academy’s closure, was playing with Liliana every day.

Since Liliana was now unemployed, it was natural for them to play together.

“Liliana unnie! Let me down now!”

“Ugh. How do I let her down again?”

    “Waaaaah! Liliana unnie!”

    Liliana’s magic had grown stronger.

Wondering what that meant, I watched Liliana and could definitely feel it.

The demonic energy within Liliana had multiplied several times over.

    It was truly overwhelming mana.

If Liliana knew how to fight, she might even be stronger than Karkus.

‘Is she doing that with that much magic…?’

Nam Dahee was floating around in the sky, but it didn’t seem like it was entirely Liliana’s intention.

So that’s why I told her to only do it inside the house.

Lee Hoyeon went out to the yard and attached his magic to Nam Dahee’s body, pulling her.

Nam Dahee, held by Liliana’s magic, was dragged by Lee Hoyeon’s magic and landed on the ground.

“Oppa! Thanks for letting me down!”

“Don’t mention it. Daeun was making snacks earlier, why don’t you go help her?”

    “Okay! I’ll go to Unnie!”

Nam Dahee quickly ran off, fearing she might get caught by Liliana again.

Looking back, Liliana was looking at her hands, nodding.

“Controlling the power isn’t easy. But tomorrow’s me will be even better…!”

“Stop talking nonsense and come here, Liliana. Let’s watch TV in the living room.”

    “Okay. Sure.”

Lee Hoyeon took Liliana to the living room sofa.

It was obvious why her magic had grown stronger.

It meant the assimilation between the Underworld and Earth had deepened.

    “Liliana.”

    “Yeah? What?”

Liliana, eating the fruit Nam Daeun brought, blinked and looked at Lee Hoyeon.

“You said your magic got stronger recently?”

“Yep. Recently, I’ve had so much magic left over. I could lift Rebecca, Scarlet, and Daeun all at once, but they all refused.”

“… That’s not the important part. Liliana, your magic getting stronger means the Underworld and Earth have become more connected. Do you know that?”

“Gasp. Oh, really? I didn’t know. There was a goblin noodle shop near where I lived, it was sooo delicious. Let’s go together later.”

Liliana nodded while putting fruit in her mouth.

… Is she really not worried about anything?

    “Aren’t you nervous at all?”

“What’s the big deal? I don’t even remember anyway?”

“… If Earth and the Underworld connect, you might be able to meet your mother in the Underworld.”

    Lee Hoyeon spoke carefully.

I debated whether to bring this up, but it’s something that needs to be said eventually.

Even if Liliana felt confused, it seemed better than suddenly meeting the Succubus Queen and being taken aback.

“I don’t know. Even if this world becomes the Underworld, I’ll be with you. Mom… Hmm. I’m not sure.”

Liliana said that and hugged Lee Hoyeon’s arm.

Then she leaned her head on his shoulder, pressing her body close.

    Liliana wasn’t stupid.

She knew her memories were strange.

Her mother might not be the mother Liliana remembered.

“My mother might not be the mother I know… but you’re still here, right?”

After seeing the memories Chiron showed her, she couldn’t forget the warmth of Lee Hoyeon’s embrace when he held her.

Lee Hoyeon was Lee Hoyeon no matter what, and the memories made after meeting him were all real.

He had said that no matter what happened in the past, Lee Hoyeon would take her side.

That alone made Liliana feel completely at ease.

“My mom will probably like you too, since I snagged a guy like you! You should be careful though, she might even try to steal you. Hehe.”

Liliana rubbed her face against Lee Hoyeon’s arm.

The soft skin on his cheek felt pleasant.

    “….”

Lee Hoyeon looked at her, feeling a strange emotion.

The more people relied on me, the heavier the burden felt, but it also seemed to give me confidence that I could handle it.

“Of course she will. A shut-in loser like me has become so successful.”

“What? What are you saying to the head of the household? That’s ridiculous.”

Lee Hoyeon popped a piece of fruit into Liliana’s pouting mouth.

Liliana grumbled but ate the fruit, giggling.
