I Became the Academy’s Female Delinquent Chapter 8. Otherworldly Bloodline

The three of them walked down the hallway towards the cafeteria.

“Why are you taking Doyun? Doesn’t he usually bring his own lunch?”

Thrud asked Elsie, averting her gaze from Doyun, who was awkwardly shuffling along behind them.

Elsie, looking a little guilty, glanced back before speaking.

“Oh, really? But he said he’d come with us if we asked…”

Enduring the stares, Elsie, who had barely managed to get the words out, was a little flustered.

She had something she wanted to ask him. So, from Elsie’s perspective, it was easier for him to come along.

But if he had a lunch, he could have just said they’d do it later.

‘I was already embarrassed by the murderous looks from the guys next to him, he should have just refused outright…’

When the two male students who had been lounging next to Doyun looked at her with shocked faces, she almost stuttered from embarrassment.

Elsie was, in many ways, troubled by such blatant attention.

“Maybe he suddenly wanted to eat the school cafeteria food? Well, Doyun does do strange things sometimes.”

“So you think he’s weird too? Does he ever say anything strange? Like about a status window or something…”

Doyun rubbed the back of his neck, noticing the girls glancing back at him and giggling as they walked.

He had accepted Elsie’s offer without thinking.

He belatedly remembered his lunch, but it was already too late.

    ‘I couldn’t refuse…’

The attention, the blue eyes of Elsie, which might have been his imagination, but seemed to be sparkling with anticipation.

There was no way he could refuse.

Doyun slowly followed Elsie and Thrud, leaving his lunch to grow cold.

He decided he would just eat the cold lunch for dinner.

‘But what does she want to ask me?’

He didn’t have much to say about himself.

Doyun was more curious about Elsie.

She had a strong and rough aura, but was also impressive, and sometimes gave off an almost innocently pure feeling.

These vague impressions were all Doyun had gleaned from the short time he had spent with Elsie.

And so, Doyun stole glances at Elsie’s back until they reached the cafeteria.

Elsie’s eyes widened as she asked again.

    “A descendant of another world?”

    It was an unfamiliar term.

“Yeah, Doyun is a descendant of another world.”

    ‘What’s that?’

This world had many similarities to the Aesir Saga setting. But this was a strange term he had never heard before.

Elsie was a hardcore Aesir Saga addict who had delved deep into the game’s lore.

As such, she was certain that the setting of a descendant of another world did not exist.

    “Lost her memories…?”

Doyun looked back and forth between Elsie and Thrud, a look of needing an explanation on his face.

“Yeah. Elsie lost her memories, so she’s not doing so well. Doyun, now that you know, I hope you’ll look after Elsie.”

“Who’s looking after who? I didn’t ask you to help me?”

“Oh, please. You didn’t even know where the academy was, and you could barely walk straight, but your confidence is through the roof. Have you forgotten that I bought you lunch because you had no money?”

    “Ugh… Th-that was nice of you, but…”

Elsie was speechless at Thrud’s facts, and quickly shrunk back.

“You’re so helpless, I can’t just leave you alone. Isn’t that right, Doyun? What am I going to do with this harmless softie?”

    “Uh… yeah.”

Elsie glared at Thrud with a pout as Thrud patted her on the back.

But other than that, all Elsie could do was fidget with her fingers.

“That’s not the point! Explain what this descendant of another world thing is…”

Elsie slammed the table in frustration, causing the empty plates and bowls to rattle.

“Descendants of people who accidentally crossed over from another world are called descendants of another world. I don’t know if there are any other descendants of another world in the academy besides me, but…”

Doyun chose his words carefully, considering Elsie’s memory loss, and explained as concisely as possible.

In reality, that concise explanation was all there was to it; they were just people from an external world with nothing special about them.

“I don’t know why you’re so interested, but that’s all there is to it. They’re just ordinary humans, except they’re not from a world connected to the Bifrost.”

    “Another world… another world, that’s…”

‘Considering his name, is this not my original world after all? There were actually people who crossed over into this game-like world?’

The dimensional road rooted outside the real universe, coiling around the World Tree Yggdrasil, is called the Bifrost.

And those connected to the Bifrost are the Nine Worlds.

This place was another world that faithfully reflected the game settings Elsie knew.

Except for the existence of Han Doyun before her.

“Why are you staring with such a serious face? You’ll wear out Doyun’s face.”

Thrud gently pressed Elsie’s furrowed brow and continued the story.

Elsie’s pathetic attempts to resist the touch were no obstacle at all.

“Even though they’re called descendants of another world, it’s not that amazing. Especially here in Midgard.”

“Thrud is right. Midgard has the largest population of descendants of another world.”

“In the first place, Midgard is like a crossroads where all kinds of beings flow in. People from other worlds are everywhere.”

Thrud patted Elsie on the head, ignored Elsie’s small hand reaching up to resist, and continued.

    “I’m from Vanaheim, you know?”

Elsie gave up resisting and looked back and forth between Thrud and Doyun’s faces.

Then she slumped her shoulders and sighed.

Her silver hair, draped over her shoulder, flowed down.

‘I thought he might have crossed over from that side, but he’s a descendant…’

From Elsie’s point of view, it was a somewhat desperate matter.

Elsie hoped that this place was not just a nonsensical world based on a game, but was at least connected to her home in some way.

Only then would she feel at ease.

Otherwise, she was overcome with the fear that she might truly lose herself.

“Are there any stories about that home world?”

“Most of the stories have been passed down orally, so I don’t know that much. But if you want to hear them…”

    “Tell me!”

Elsie’s blue eyes sparkled as she leaned her face towards Doyun.

A gaze full of anticipation that could be seen even though it was slightly obscured by her bangs.

    Doyun blushed and leaned back.

    “Tell me! Ack?!”

“Elsie. Did you lose your manners along with your memories? You’re making Doyun uncomfortable. Be considerate.”

Elsie, who had been grabbed by the scruff of her neck by Thrud and made to sit quietly back in her seat, glared at Doyun as if she was about to shoot beams from her eyes.

“Tell me quickly before I actually shoot beams from my eyes. Hurry.”

    Elsie said pleadingly.

However, Doyun, with his superhuman observational skills, noticed that faint misty lights were beginning to gather around Elsie’s eyes.

Realizing that she wasn’t joking, Doyun quickly opened his mouth.

A student shooting lasers from her eyes and causing a ruckus in the cafeteria during lunch.

It was an unimaginable sight, but he decided to trust his instincts.

“It was a world where tools and technology were developed for convenience, I heard. They couldn’t develop magic, supernatural, or divine abilities like the Nine Worlds. And…”

“…So it was like that there…”

Elsie nodded after listening to Doyun’s story for a short time.

The home world that Han Doyun’s ancestors had crossed over from.

There were not many stories passed down about it.

    But that was enough.

Elsie was able to be certain that Doyun’s ancestors were from her home world.

‘Considering they crossed over here hundreds of years ago, the time difference between when I was there and now is almost nonexistent, but it’s definitely it.’

At least once, this side and that side had been connected.

    That was a clear fact.

Finally, Elsie was able to realize that she and this world existed.

Elsie’s power, which had reached the level of a demigod, the abilities of a Valkyrie.

Unlike when she was controlling them in the game, she could now naturally handle and feel them like her own limbs.

And this place was also a real reality.

    ‘So… I’ve really become Elsie…’

The initial sense of discomfort in her body, the broken sense of balance, and the stagnant energy within her were no longer felt.

Elsie stood up from her seat with a slightly relieved expression.

“I heard you well. Han Doyun, thank you.”

Elsie gave a fleeting smile. Doyun could only stare blankly at the sight.

“Let’s have a proper fight someday. Thrud, you have to settle our unfinished match, right?”

“That’s true. It was a shame. I could have used that for once.”

    “Why me…?”

Elsie turned to him at Doyun’s question.

Her emotionless gaze seemed a little empty.

“You interrupted the duel, did you think that was the end of it? No way. It’s only polite to fight at least once, right?”

Elsie’s eyes, gleaming with fighting spirit, curved slyly.

Just how much did she crave battle?

Doyun thought it was close to obsession.

“Later, we’ll definitely have a formal match to pay you back for peeking at my butt and chest!”

    “Th-that’s…!”

He couldn’t bring himself to argue that he wasn’t the only one who saw her butt.

Elsie wanted to fight Doyun properly, no matter what reason she gave.

Even if it wasn’t serious, his ability to effectively defend against her attacks, except for the first hit, was amazing.

That was a movement rarely seen even among the top-ranked participants in the martial arts tournaments that were constantly held in the Aesir Saga.

In other words, he was an opponent worth fighting.

She couldn’t miss such an opponent.

Since she had become Elsie without knowing why, she was going to enjoy the battles she had so desired for the time being.

Elsie’s beautiful eyes, softly curved with a smile, felt somehow wicked.

The shadows created by her silver hair against the light made her look like a black Valkyrie on the battlefield.

    An invisible chain bound Doyun.

He became Elsie’s prisoner before he even realized it, and there was no way for him to escape from the start.

The three, having made a promise of a duel with no set date, began to move to leave the cafeteria.

However, their steps were soon halted.

    “What’s going on?”

A considerable crowd had gathered near the cafeteria exit.

It wasn’t as if the passage was narrow, but it seemed something to see had occurred.

Elsie tilted her head at the sight of the bustling students.

“What are they doing, blocking the way out?”

She couldn’t tell what was happening because of the human wall erected in the direction of the exit.

Even when she tiptoed and jumped, all she could see were people’s backs.

Only the sounds of something breaking and shattering could be heard intermittently.

“Tch… Thrud, can you see anything? You should be able to.”

At Elsie’s question, Thrud, who was tiptoeing and looking over the crowd, smiled triumphantly and looked down at Elsie.

“Of course? It’s easy for someone like me to see. I can’t help but see because I’m tall. Ahaha.”

“Before I beat you up, tell me what’s going on right now…”

Thrud was being annoying, boasting about being tall.

Elsie, who was reloading the curse words she had decided to cut back on, flinched.

It was because Thrud, bending down, slipped her hand between her armpits.

Elsie recalled Thrud’s unrestrained antics she had shown so far.

It was an action that made her know what she was up to, even if she didn’t want to.

“If you’re thinking of picking me up like a doll again, I’m really going to…”

“Oh, come on! It’s faster to see than to explain, right? Doyun and I can see just fine, but you’re the only one who’s too small to see!”

“I’m not that small! It’s the default!!”

Elsie herself wouldn’t admit it, but she was relatively small.

Doyun scratched his cheek at the sight of Elsie and Thrud bickering.

He briefly imagined giving Elsie a piggyback ride to show her what was happening over there.

“You really have to see this mess! Just be quiet for once!”

“If you put it that way, just this once… you’re dead.”

    “…….”

Elsie was already recoiling from Thrud’s touch like that.

If he were to do such a thing, she would definitely wrap her legs around him and strangle his neck.

While the three of them wasted time with their own delusions and nonsense, the commotion beyond the crowd intensified.

    “Hey! St, stop it!”

    “Aah!”_Thwack!”_

With a heavy cracking sound, the human wall collapsed.

Something broke through the crowd from the center of the commotion and flew out quickly.

It happened to crash into Elsie and Thrud, who were busy fighting, grabbing each other’s cheeks.

    “D, dodge!”
