51. Corporate Destruction

I’ve gathered all the necessary items.

    ‘The Book of Immortality.’

Perfect. With this, I have the guts to take on HP Bio. For every person I kill, it’s like gaining an extra life-the more I kill, the harder it becomes for others to kill me.

Moreover, purchasing the Book of Immortality completed another quest.

[Quest: Spend over 10,000 Points at the general store within a week (15,800/10,000)]

[Reward: 1,000P, Increased Credit Score, Discount Coupon]

1,000 Points, a credit score boost, and a discount coupon.

Prior to this, completing the ‘Hunt 10 Pax Company Hunters’ quest significantly increased my credit rating, unlocking the fourth slot in the general store.

    [4. Random Draw]

[Details: Spend 1,000 Points for one draw. This item is unaffected by resets.]

    [Price: 1,000P]

Four items appeared. The fourth one was a random draw-spend 1,000 coins, and it’ll give you anything.

    ‘The points I have now…’

While hunting Pax Company Hunters to gather 10,000 Points, I’ve already accumulated 5,000 Points.

Might as well go all in. I’ll try the random draw once.

    Gulp. Gulp.

I hid in a deserted warehouse and drank the Siren’s Tear, then swallowed Rendel’s Crimson Orb.

    “Guhhk.”

The moment I drank the Siren’s Tear, I felt my vocal cords tear slightly as blood and phlegm gushed from my throat.

“Cough… Fuck. My voice… sounds amazing.”

My throat was wrecked, but the voice itself was the most pleasant I’d ever heard in my life.

Now, if I act all cutesy like a girl… every male will fall for me. It makes me want to puke, but depending on how I use it, this ability could cause a massive stir.

‘And Rendel’s Crimson Orb-this is insane.’

I thought it wouldn’t be much since it was cheap, but after consuming it, it was way better than expected.

    “This is incredible.”

When I activated Fire Meditation, the flames in my hands became clearer and stronger. How much more destructive would Stun Fist be if used with Fire Meditation active?

I can’t even guess. It feels like I could blow through the Blue Cross Group’s power suits like nothing.

    ‘The remaining 1,000 Points.’

I could reset the store, but I was curious about the random draw, so I spent the 1,000 Points.

If I got trash, I’d just ignore the fourth slot from now on.

    ‘It’s here!’

[Engraving – Third Hand: Upon acquisition, an engraving is etched into your brain, evolving to allow the use of a ‘Third Hand.’]

    “Wow. This is…”

It was a reward that lets you wield an invisible third arm like telekinesis. As soon as I acquired it, my forehead tingled painfully, and the skill was immediately learned.

‘Now I don’t have to hold Archangel’s Magic Book myself.’

Here’s why this is good: to cast magic spells without chanting, you must hold Archangel’s Magic Book in one hand. But that makes it awkward to use magic during close combat.

In short, I can hold Regina’s axe in my right hand and Archangel’s staff in my left-the Third Hand will hold the magic book for me.

‘Freely using magic while engaging in close combat.’

This will be a huge help in the assault on HP Bio’s headquarters. I’ll read the Book of Immortality and launch the invasion right away.

    “Phew.”

Are Number 1 and Number 2 okay? What happened to the Divine Tree Cult Leader I caught yesterday, Number 3, and Jin Seon-mi? Not that I care about them or anything.

‘Did they take my carefully selected slaves…?’

Number 1 was a rare monster, and Number 2 had exceptional regeneration-I planned to use them as heart-extraction slaves. Number 3 also seemed useful, and the Divine Tree Cult Leader was meant to be the symbol of our base.

I had big plans for Jin Seon-mi as a sniper. Everything’s ruined. For some reason, I feel worse than I expected. How should I put it? It’s like my meticulously decorated farm in a life-sim farming game got wrecked by some trash bastards.

    ‘They better all be unharmed.’

If not, I’ll slaughter everyone connected to HP Bio. Not just them-maybe I should just kill anyone who catches my eye from now on. Wait, was I already doing that?

I’ve already crossed the line big time to survive in this world. I’ve killed hundreds-what’s stopping me from killing more?

I feel no guilt or remorse. If you have a problem with it, blame the godlike being who threw me into this world and caused this disaster.

I’m just killing to survive-over and over.

    “For now…”

Let’s read the book. I’ll lose the Book of Immortality but gain an immortal body. Then, I’ll teach those who raided my base a lesson.

They dared to lay hands on my things-they’ll pay with their lives. I’ll never forgive them. Since they’re just illegal body-modding scum, no one will care if they all die.

    ******

    Four days later.

    HP Bio Headquarters.

After the disaster, this place was practically half-fortified. Every entrance except the barricaded main gate was sealed. Moreover, the area was swarming with long-range Hunters, and A-rank or S-rank Hunters were stationed inside.

    “Huh?”

    “What’s that?”

To enter the headquarters building, you had to pass through the gate. Even before the disaster, only researchers and high-ranking officials dared to come here.

After the disaster, no one even tried.

But today, someone arrived. A blurry figure.

Their entire body was dark, and the clothes they wore distorted visibility.

    “It’s perception interference.”

    “Hostile entity approaching!”

Immediately, the two Awakened guarding the gate alerted the inside of the intruder’s arrival. They’d been expecting villains or Hunters to show up eventually.

Given their past misdeeds and accumulated karma, they anticipated revenge-driven individuals would come after the government collapsed.

    “Measure their abilities!”

    “Call the Hunters!”

    “Measuring target’s abilities. One, two, three… seven… T-twenty-plus. Can’t measure beyond that.”

    “What?”

“Over-Ability. Honestly, it’s questionable if this is even human. It’s like a monster from another dimension.”

    “G-get the Hunters-“

Their conversation was cut short. A massive fireball flew in and obliterated the entire gate.

A huge explosion erupted. The outside was in chaos.

    -Weeeeeeeeee!!!!

    -Emergency!! Emergency!! External impact detected!!

-Emergency!! Emergency!! Enemy threat level… unmeasurable!!

    Sirens blared throughout the building.

    “What the hell is happening?!”

    “We’re under attack!”

    “What? Villains? How many?”

    “J-just one.”

    “What? Who’s handling it?”

“Two retrieval teams and A-rank Hunter Lee Joon-han are engaging.”

    “What?”

Since one retrieval team wasn’t enough, the two stationed teams must’ve gone out, and even they couldn’t handle it-so an A-rank Hunter stepped in.

And the enemy is just one person.

“Fuck. What abilities do they have?”

“S-so far, over 20 confirmed. And they’re all from different systems!”

“They don’t die even when decapitated!”

    “What?”

“The report just cut off. T-they’ll be here soon.”

Communication from the first floor was lost. That meant the entire force guarding the lobby had been indiscriminately slaughtered.

They’ll be descending to the basement soon.

“Damn it…!!! Issue a black alert! Crisis situation! Deploy the mutants!”

They sent their remaining forces upstairs. It didn’t end with the retrieval teams.

“Monitoring team! CCTV has captured the intruder!”

    “Where? This is…”

It really was just one person. Due to perception interference, only a blurry figure was visible, but it looked like a woman.

‘A female Hunter? She stormed in here alone?’

The mutants, who relied on physical enhancements, were being neutralized one by one. Even when the intruder was killed on camera, she regenerated her wounds and kept descending.

    “Why… why won’t she die?”

    “……”

The researchers fell silent. An immortal monster was coming down. They had no means left to stop her.
