It would have been fine if he had just kept sleeping.

Alright, let’s assume that he didn’t want to bother me since I was streaming, I could give him the benefit of the doubt.

But, if that was the case, he could’ve just watched my stream and texted me after it ended!

Annoyed and furious, I immediately sent him a text.

It seemed like he tried to come up with an excuse but gave up midway, making me even more irritated.

「Oppa. At the very least you remember everything, right? Including what you said to me before you went to sleep?」

Remembering all my worries before I started my stream, I bit my lip again.

Feeling relieved over the worst case scenario being avoided, I let out a sigh.

「Do you usually watch Leah’s stream, Oppa? I thought you said you don’t really watch the other members.」

「I don’t.」

「Then why were you watching her?」

More importantly, why today out of all days?

If I wasn’t streaming, or, at the very least, if the thing that happened this evening hadn’t occurred, I might have let him off, but today? No way I’d do that!

I could hear his muttering, but I didn’t know if he was far away from the mic or not.

For some reason, this boyfriend of mine kept giving vague answers.

If my question was this clear, he’d definitely give me a proper answer.

And his reply was something that I had never expected.

As I felt my face getting hotter and hotter from that unexpected answer, I asked him.

「Y-You kept thinking about that?」

Because of his impassive response, I had to suffer from these difficult-to-express emotions once again.

In fact, we had done several things.

How I’d wish that was true. Because my body still forced me to wake up at around 10 anyway.

Christmas Eve. Morning. I woke up feeling as if I had lost something.

With a scarf wrapped around my neck, I was waiting for Doah in front of her house.

My white breaths leaked through the gaps in the scarf.

After a while, my girlfriend came out, wearing mittens on both hands.

Like me, she was fully equipped to endure the cold weather.

“Look who’s here.”

When I naturally held out my hand, Doah offered her fluffy gloves instead of her small hand.

“I’m sorry.”

And the first thing she did was to apologize to me.

Even though everything was fine and all.

“What are you even apologizing for?”

Normally, couples would go to special places or fancy restaurants to celebrate Christmas.

Sadly, those options just didn’t exist for her, a popular vtuber.

If she was still an indie vtuber, she could have just announced that she was taking a break and go whatever she wanted to play around, but she was a corpo streamer.

She already had to go through hardship due to the name controversy, there was no way that she had the lenience to skip the stream.

And I had no intention of forcing her either.

“Ugh… I wanted us to have fun while the sun is still up at least…”

I patted her gloomy head, telling her that it was okay.

“It’s fine. We can have fun another day anyway, no?”

“Still, it’s our first Christmas together.”

Seemingly thinking that spending our first Christmas this way was regrettable, she vented out all her lamentations all the way to the studio.

Not only that, she also said that she’d be singing Christmas songs with a specially prepared outfit!

Why would I spend money going outside in this cold weather instead of watching her?

But, I couldn’t just bring myself to say that in front of her.

She’d scold me again if I do.

As soon as Doah opened the studio door and entered, she tapped the heating button repeatedly.

“Why does it feel colder inside than outside?”

“Let it be for a bit, it’ll warm up.”

She was right, the inside was definitely chilly.

As I naturally plopped down on the couch in the corner, Doah booted up the computer before coming next to me.

“Are you really okay with eating only that for lunch?”

“We’re getting delivery anyways, no need to order something expensive for that.”

She took her scarf, pouting as she sat on my lap.

“Where should we order from?”

“Got a place in mind?”

Today’s lunch menu was Chinese food.

I wanted to take her to a nice place for lunch, but the circumstances didn’t allow it at all.

She said that there would be a rehearsal or whatever with the other members before their collab in the afternoon. For now, she had to install the necessary apps and shit for that.

Having suddenly agreed to order lunch at the studio, we decided to indulge ourselves.

“…Should we really order kkanpunggi too?”¹

“Sure. Also, save the leftovers if we can’t finish them all.”

Even if we splurged, it would only be around 50,000 won at most.

After ordering the food, Doah went back to the computer and clicked the mouse as I quietly watched her from the side.

-Knock knock knock

After hearing the knock on the door, I went to grab the food and started setting up the table.

Since we ordered so many, I had to make two round trips to grab them all.

“This spot is a bit awkward.”

“Right.”

Well, this place wasn’t set up for two people to use in the first place.

Everything was set up under the assumption that Doah would be using it alone, so we had to deal with a lot of inconveniences to eat together.

For example, the table was the size of a single of our meal tray,

“Then how about we just put the food here and keep the jajangmyeon to eat?”

Thinking that it was the best option we had, I asked Doah, who stood up holding the jajangmyeon bowl with a very sad face.

“No. This won’t do.”

“Huh? What?”

“Oppa.”

I froze while peeling the wrap of the pickled radish.

“What?”

“Can you wait for me for a bit?”

“Until when?”

I tilted my head at her sudden request for me to wait.

“Until later tonight.”

“But, you have a stream tonight, no?”

If I recall correctly, she had a scheduled stream from 8pm until almost past midnight today.

“After all that’s over.”

“At dawn, then?”

When I blinked as if asking if she was serious, Doah nodded her head vigorously.

“…Only if you’re okay with it, Oppa.”

“I’m okay with it. We can’t go anywhere that late at night, though.”

We could see each other, but there was just nowhere to go during that hour.

“Just tell me if it’s possible or not.”

“Uh… I think it is…? Probably…?”

I mean, tomorrow was a holiday, so I had nothing to do anyway.

“Then, after all that’s over.”

Doah smiled brightly.

“See you then, Oppa.”
