Chapter Index

When I first thought about how to turn down a marriage proposal, I knew I could lose.

I am definitely strong now, but that doesn’t mean I have reached a level where others cannot keep up.

As just one of the continent’s strong players, I could have easily experienced defeat due to various variables.

The reason he put his plan into action despite knowing this was because he had no intention of taking the marriage proposal seriously from the beginning.

At best, I’d just play with you for a few days as a courtesy to the winner. If you started expecting more than that, I’d use my Messagaki skill to naturally ruin the conversation.

I know that the other person doesn’t want to miss the opportunity they’ve earned, but that doesn’t matter. My provocation is something that can’t be endured even if you want to.

Even those with divine authority were helpless in the face of provocation, so how could a mere mortal endure it?

It was unexpected that my friends would suddenly start doing things among themselves, but honestly, I didn’t take it seriously.

I had the arrogance to think that I would never lose, and even if I did lose, I was thinking that I would just have fun with my friends.

No matter what, they are weak to me. It might be a little annoying, but I can’t say I can’t hang out with them for a few days.

I thought I had perfect ideas at the time, but now I realize how lightly I had thought of it.

“It would be fatal if I had Lucy all to myself. Let’s share it.”

But I also feel wronged! How could I have guessed that Frey would come up with such a crazy idea!

If you could know in advance that the little kid who said he would monopolize everything and dragged all his friends into it would suddenly become a mature gentleman and shout, “Let’s share!”, would you be a god or a human?

‘Uh. Anyway! I don’t have the ability to foresee!’

‘Stop nitpicking! Before you add ribbons and all sorts of decorations and put it in my statue’s hand!’

After threatening my grandfather into silence, I carefully looked around.

My friends, including Frey, the warriors who had participated in this tournament, the metamorphosis apostles, and Rene were sitting at the same table.

However, there was a difference in the expressions on the faces of my friends and other people.

Friends who were familiar with Frey laughed it off, thinking she was just talking nonsense again, but others who weren’t so close to her frowned and tried to gauge Frey’s true intentions.

“Don’t take it seriously. This test doesn’t have the intelligence to hide its intentions.”

Frey furrowed his brows as the foolish fox, who had been lying under his butt and looking at the others pitifully, clicked his tongue and said something.

    “Don’t share it with Lina.”

“What? Okay. Wait a minute. I was just trying to convince them of your characteristics.”

“Be quiet. Get out. Pets will ignore your barking from now on.”

“How dare you! I don’t care if Lucy treats me like a dog! Because that’s what I want! But you, you filthy filthy…!”

    “Shut up, I told you.”

    “…squeak.”

I turned my gaze towards Arthur, my fox tail drooping.

If we leave this confusing situation to Frey, the story will never progress, so it is better for Arthur to lead the conversation.

Arthur, who quickly realized my intention, drew everyone’s attention by coughing in vain.

“Lina’s words may have been a bit aggressive, but it is true that Frey’s words were not false. She really created this place to share time with Lucy Aln.”

    “Did you agree?”

As Arthur summarized the situation, Rene expressed his doubts.

    “Lucy Allen?”

“Yeah. It really annoys me, but I agree. I lost to Frey.”

At first, I was really taken aback. I never expected Frey to say something like that.

But now I’ve kind of given up. It’s impossible to convince Frey.

I’d rather be punished than argue with a idiot like Frey, who’s so persistent and useless. It’s better to be humiliated than to die from high blood pressure.

“I will give each person about 3 days.”

After I gave up, I began to see the good parts of this job.

Anyway, the people I share my time with are my close acquaintances.

Since they are people who have caused trouble in many ways, I can laugh it off to some extent if I think of them as paying off my debt.

Besides, if I just stay home now, I’ll just be miserable because of the idiots flocking to the territory.

In that case, it would be better to make excuses and wander around.

First of all, I don’t think people here would ask me to do anything really weird.

“If you will accept Frey’s consideration, stay and talk, otherwise leave quietly.”

“Is there anyone who would leave if that were the case?”

As soon as Arthur finished asking his question, the warrior stood up from his seat.

“There are a lot of things I need to do right now, and I feel guilty because I’m too old to spend time with my junior. I’ll just step back quietly.”

After the warrior left, saying, “Have a good time,” the others stayed in their seats, keeping an eye on me. Arthur, who had noticed him, quietly turned his gaze towards me.

“Before we continue the conversation, I have one question to ask. How far do you plan on hanging out?”

“It’s okay as long as Mom doesn’t punish me with heavenly punishment.”

A penalty is a penalty. Most demands can be accommodated.

Just a little while ago, I was showing off a disgusting smile in front of many people.

Unless something is too weird, I’d be willing to hang out.

    “Are you serious?”

    “But?”

“You know what other people are going to do to you.”

“Why? What were you imagining that you even checked? Did you imagine me wearing a sexy outfit? Hehe. Pervert.”

“I worried about you so much!”

Arthur, who grew angry at the stinging gaze that grew stronger as I continued to speak, grumbled for a while before asking Frey a question.

“I’m asking you now since the parties involved are fine with it. Is there anything you wish for?”

“Let me go first. The others are fine.”

“Then all that remains is for us to negotiate.”

Perhaps because they were all people who had some experience in politics, people’s gazes sharpened even though Arthur didn’t explain in detail.

As I watched that, I felt a chill down my spine.

What on earth do they plan on doing to me that makes that face? They plan on making me do something really weird, don’t they?

I’m saying this just in case, but if something happens to me, is it really a lightning bolt falling from the sky and not just a metaphor?

    “Lucy. Lucy.”

As I was sweating profusely, Frey came running up to me and grabbed my hand.

“Let them go and chat amongst themselves.”

“What are you going to do?”

    “Let’s go out first. Okay?”

    “Haa. Okay. ”

I think it’ll just make my stomach hurt if I listen to the story here.

I went outside with Frey, hoping that everyone else would keep their senses, and just looked at Frey.

“So what do you want to do with me? Sparring?”

“Huh? You’re not going to spar anymore? Lucy is so sloppy. I don’t like it because it’s not fun.”

    “…Oh. Is that so?”

That’s why I tried not to lose to Frey!

I suppressed the irritation that was rising on its own and lifted the corners of my mouth, and Frey smiled lightly.

“Just kidding. I’ll spar with Lucy later. Right now, it’s something else.”

“Is there anything you want to do besides sparring?”

“Yeah. I’m going to go play with Lucy.”

“Are you going out to play?”

“Like other normal kids. My little brother said it was really funny.”

Going out to play. I didn’t know Frey would say something like that, but I don’t know if it was someone else.

If you think about it, it’s a pretty good suggestion. It’s better to go out and play than to train for days on end or to run around to satisfy Frey’s endless appetite.

    “Where are you going?”

    “Where should I go?”

    “Haven’t you thought about it?”

    “What should I think about?”

So, are you saying that we should just drag them out and go play without any plan? That’s just like you.

    “Okay. I’ll think about it.”

    “Yes. Please.”

There are a few places that come to mind when thinking of places Frey might like.

Like an arena. A place with trials. A place where you can learn various swordsmanship techniques.

But what Frey wants is a different atmosphere. A little more ordinary. A place that other girls would like.

    Hmm. Hmm.

“I’ll take you to a place that other kids might like. If it’s not fun, tell me quickly.”

    “Okay! Got it!”

The first place we headed with Frey, who was nodding excitedly, was a clothing store.

    “Why a clothing store?”

“I don’t know for sure, but whenever girls get together, they always come here.”

“I don’t care about clothes at all.”

    “I’ll choose for you too?”

Frey seemed to hesitate for a moment after hearing what I said, then grabbed my sleeve.

“I think it’ll be okay if Lucy chooses it.”

    “Really?”

    “Yeah. Because it’s Lucy.”

At times like this, Frey is really cute. He usually does a lot of reckless things, but objectively speaking, he’s not that bad looking.

It was fun to mess with Frey even when I was squinting at him from behind the monitor.

Heh heh. Okay. Then let’s do something rotten and reminisce about old times.

    Don’t worry, Frey.

Because my head is filled with various coordinates created by the rotten Soul Academy!

There are things you may hate, but there is nothing you will fail at!

“But you know, Lucy also wears the clothes I picked out for her, right?”

    “…Uh. I guess so?”

“That sounds fun! I definitely want to do it!”
