Chapter Index

The world of mirrors was supposed to be filled with compassion.

The apostles of the Lord and their companions are infinitely good people, and even if they know that they must defeat them, they will not hesitate to swing their weapons at unfortunate and pitiful opponents.

The Pope thought that even if you pretended not to know, your spirit would gradually wear away, and by the time you reached the end of the dungeon, there would be clear cracks in your spirit.

In fact, in many of the events that occurred before, the apostle of the Lord revealed his weakness of mind.

No matter how strong you pretend to be, you’ve shown that you’re just an ordinary person who gets hurt.

Her close friends were the same.

    They were human.

A human being who feels compassion when he sees the poor, sheds tears when he sees those in pain, reaches out to those who have fallen on the ground, and sometimes even collapses when faced with difficult hardships.

It is true that being ordinary is noble, but being ordinary is clearly a weakness, and the Pope was happy to touch on this part.

Hoping that at least one person will fall, and even if no one falls, hoping that the Lord’s apostles will be affected.

    “…What the heck?”

The Pope gaped at the sight of the dungeon.

Since the Lord’s apostle had come to personally conquer it, I had in mind that it would be easier to overcome than I had thought.

Even so, I thought it would be enough if it served as a cornerstone for the future.

Anyway, that place needs to be conquered in order for the evil spirit to be completely revived.

I decided that it would be okay to give victory to the Apostle of the Lord for now if I could just defeat the opponent at the very end, but what on earth is going on?

At first, when the apostle ran blindly across the land, he hesitated so much that he thought he was escaping from reality. In the end, he realized that there was no way and he mustered up his resolve.

I was thinking about enjoying looking at that person’s face filled with so many emotions, when suddenly the Apostle jumped over the wall that was invisible but definitely there.

And then he set foot in a place that even the person who created the dungeon didn’t know about, and he proudly declared that if he took just one wrong step, he would be sent to hell.

The confusion shown by the Apostle before proved that this dungeon did not exist in the prophecy.

He had no idea what was going to happen here.

Even if the great Lord tells you, it is nonsense.

That would be the case, since that space was unknown to both the Pope and the dungeon’s master.

How could the Lord reveal a place where no one has ever set foot?

No one, past or future, knew about that space.

Only the apostles of the Lord knew that place.

“It’s interesting, but at the same time, it’s difficult. Other dungeons can be conquered in that way too.”

You might ask, “Why don’t we just plug the gap?” But how can we plug the hole if we don’t know where the gap is in the first place?

I could completely overhaul the structure, but I don’t know where to start changing it since I’m not sure what the special nature of the Lord’s Apostle is.

“Can’t we just expand the dungeon with the power of the end?”

When Agra, who had been watching quietly from the side, added a word, the Pope snorted and shrugged his shoulders.

“Do you think that kind of trickery would work on the apostle?”

“You can’t be sure until you try.”

“I already tried it. I gave the apostle a test and he was enlightened in just one day. It was the ability of a person chosen by the Lord.”

Agra clucked her tongue and rested her chin on her hand as she watched the Pope proudly boasting, smirking as if he was praising his own daughter.

But it wasn’t like this before, but it’s become like this all of a sudden. No, come to think of it, has this guy always been like this?

The people inside Mace were equally shocked by Lucy Allen’s sudden actions.

Those who had suffered all kinds of pain while conquering the dungeons created by the evil gods in the past laughed in vain at Lucy’s choice of the third option when forced to make a choice.

“We chose the wrong leader, after all.”

“I admit that I was quite incompetent, but please don’t compare me to Miss Lucy! What do you want me to do!”

Ruel and Garad laughed at the warrior’s bewildered cry, but they both knew deep down that this comparison was harsh on the warrior. The way Lucy had acted was far from common sense.

Who would try a strategy that utilizes a space that even the person who created the dungeon doesn’t know about?

Finding the strange space itself is difficult, and even if you do find it, how will you find the passage leading to the other side? And even if you are lucky enough to get to the other side, how will you get past a place where one wrong step could lead to your death?

That was a strategy that only Lucy could use.

“You have overcome hardship by performing a miracle again.”

At Ruel’s words, both Garad and the warrior stopped talking and smiled mischievously.

“The late wind is definitely scary. That guy who had no blood or tears ended up like that.”

“Isn’t it nice to feel affection? Compared to the past Ruel, he’s very human.”

“It sounds like you’re saying that my old self wasn’t human.”

“That’s what I meant. You were inhuman back then.”

Ruel grumbled at the warrior’s firm words, but couldn’t bring himself to respond strongly. The warrior smiled lightly at that sight and patted him on the shoulder.

“Just kidding. You were good back then too.”

    “You should say that now.”

“I also sympathize with your resilience. As you said, the new warrior is overcoming hardships by performing countless miracles.”

After the warrior took his place in the mace, Lucy faced countless trials.

Like the warriors of the distant past, she willingly sacrificed herself for the world and gave her life for others.

Naturally, the process was not smooth. The hero Lucy was an ordinary girl, despite her extraordinary abilities.

He was a sage who engraved the sacrifices of others in his eyes, shed tears inwardly, and created a lake of sorrow in his heart.

I knew because the warrior himself was that kind of person.

If you keep piling up things like that, one day you will collapse under the weight of the load.

That’s why the warrior was worried about Lucy when she said she would take on all the dungeons on her own, but it was for nothing.

Unlike the warrior, Lucy was capable of carrying the burden, had people around her who could make up for her shortcomings, and was willing to accept their help.

Yeah, that was a really stupid worry.

Just because I made that mistake doesn’t mean other people will make the same mistake.

“I am. Looking at her, I realize how arrogant we were. Isn’t it foolish to think that we can’t stop the destruction if we don’t? Sure, we were great heroes, but we were just one of the stars born in a long time. Stars must have shone in the past that we don’t know about, and stars will shine after us.”

    Heroes aren’t born that way.

Anyone who stands up to save the world becomes a hero.

And the gods in heaven do not ignore the hero’s will.

Reach out and lead the way so that heroes can be heroes.

So, you don’t have to carry the burden alone.

It’s okay if you don’t want to save the world alone.

In the age of warriors, warriors saved the world, and now, a hero named Lucy fights for the world, so in the distant future, a hero from that time will appear and save the world.

“Sorry to interrupt you while you’re saying nice things, but would you like to see this?”

Garad intervened in the warrior’s tone, which seemed like it would soon bring tears of emotion to his eyes.

He was the type of person who would maintain a sly tone unless something really important happened, but not now.

His tone was filled with confusion as to what on earth had happened.

    “What’s going on?”

    “The dungeon raid is finished.”

“Did you reach the boss room?”

“No. That’s it. Look. There’s a door leading outside.”

“…Already? Don’t lie. There’s going to be a lot of noise when we face the boss, and there’s no way I didn’t hear it. No. No. The door appears, so I think we defeated the boss. ”

The warrior’s eyes were spinning as he could not understand the situation, and Erginus slowly appeared.

“Let me rewind the video for a moment. I wanted to check it again.”

    “Please.”

As time in the video rewinds, Lucy and her group return to the white space.

Lucy, who had been repeating strange behaviors such as suddenly jumping out of the air and climbing onto something unseen, or counting the number of steps she took and then suddenly jumping into something, had arrived inside the boss room before she knew it.

“Just a moment. Can you give it back to me?”

It was the same even when I looked again. The moment I stepped into the white space, Lucy suddenly arrived inside the boss room.

And right above the boss’s head.

The boss noticed the surprise attack too late, but by then Lucy’s mace had already broken the boss’ head.

And then, swords and magic struck one after another towards the staggering boss, and the boss fell.

It was an incredibly absurd ending, considering that it was a boss so powerful that it could bring nightmares to those who entered the dungeon.

“Was that guy the type of person who would go down that easily?”

When the warrior who had conquered the Mirror Dungeon during the Age of Myths muttered without realizing it, Garad, who was standing next to him, shook his head in fright.

“How can that be! How many times have we almost died because of that one guy!”

“There were two times when I failed to attack and escaped.”

“So it’s gotten weaker compared to that time?”

    “No.”

Erginus shook his head at the tone of voice that suggested something.

“To me, it doesn’t look much different from what we’ve dealt with.”

“But why do you fall so easily!”

    “How do I know that?”

“Ruel. Can you ask yourself? How did it break so easily!”

“…I already asked Lucy, but she asked me why I found that so difficult. Where else could it be so easy?”

The heroes were silent at Ruel’s words.

It should have been a time of rejoicing, but the mood among the heroes was truly gloomy.
