Chapter Index

As I climbed the academy dungeon, I drew a map in my head.

It wasn’t about already preparing for the next one.

The Academy Dungeon has at least ten different configurations.

What would change if you knew one of these?

Of course, I plan to memorize the entire dungeon structure.

Although I am planning to create an optimized route through him!

The reason I went ahead and looked around the entire inside of the Academy Dungeon was for the present, not for the future.

When you analyze the structure of a dungeon, you naturally see trends. I’m doing this to guess what the next gimmick will be based on that.

What I felt then was that this dungeon was clearly influenced by me.

It is a mixture of blatant clues and subtly inserted clues.

It’s a battle that focuses on destroying gimmicks, but it’s possible to break through with physical power.

Even in parts where I am sure it deviated from the author’s intention, there are parts where the ending is prepared.

Just looking at it right now, it’s like that.

When I purified the ghouls that flocked from the 49th floor with holy magic, they said thank you and disappeared.

They even gave me a clue and tried to leave.

Although it ended up being an attempt thanks to me irritating him and telling him not to mess around.

ah. Even thinking about it again, it still annoys me. Why are you trying to give a spoiler that I didn’t ask you to?

Dungeons are all about conquering something unknown, so why are they trying to take the fun away from me?

I arrived in front of the boss room grumbling, opened the door and went inside without any hesitation.

What was waiting inside was an irregular liquid.

Strength too. Weakness too. Sacredness too. Disturbance too. Gross too. Nothing. It was so empty that nothing could be felt, and it had the power to make people sick of it.

It’s a type of monster I’ve never seen before.

I guess this is a new guy I made this time.

While watching him crawling on the floor, I moved my shield when I saw liquid sticking out like an awl.

    Cheaeng!

The impact transmitted beyond the shield was quite strong.

Anyone who wasn’t used to fighting would have just died from a single blow.

I don’t know if the first year academy students are going to experience trauma again while clearing the dungeon.

I twisted my body to avoid the ensuing successive attacks and struck the center of the liquid with my mace.

Then, the liquid flew around with a sound like “Pow!”, but the attack of the liquid did not stop.

    Is physical attack meaningless?

Next time, I tried attacking with divinity, but this time it was the same.

Even in its scattered state, the liquid attacked me with its own will.

Hmm. Isn’t it the type that can be broken by simply hitting it?

I looked around the inside of the boss room, avoiding attacks from the liquids flying around me.

Scenery of a dark basement made of stone. Pieces of glass scattered everywhere. Several magic circles that were on the floor but are now blurred.

Seeing all of this in my eyes, I realized that the situation had become difficult and I pursed my lips.

No matter how you look at this, it seems like a place that requires magic-related knowledge.

‘…grandfather. ‘Why are you talking about it as if you’re not worried and it’s exciting?’

Without realizing it, I was convinced by my grandfather’s advice to think from the opposite perspective.

Considering all the good things I’ve shown my grandfather so far, it’s normal not to be worried.

But regardless of rational understanding, I can’t help but feel annoyed.

It’s normal for the person you’re supposed to be giving advice to get hot when they’re eating popcorn!

    It’s fair revenge!

    ‘Oh my. My hand slipped~’

I quickly threw my grandfather into the liquid and took out an extra mace from my inventory.

Compared to my grandfather, it’s truly a piece of trash, but it shouldn’t be any problem in dealing with this boss.

This guy is not an enemy that needs to be dealt with using physical force.

I was giggling as I watched the old man swimming in a liquid that was almost like filth. I dodged the liquid that was trying to press me with its mass and moved my gaze back to the inside of the boss room.

First of all, I can’t see anything in terms of aesthetics. The only answer is that everything here is disgusting.

But identifying weaknesses is different. It’s clearly showing to my eyes a place where the boss here doesn’t want to be found out.

The problem is that it’s in the middle of that dirty liquid.

Ugh. It feels a bit weird to think about jumping in there.

    What should I do?

ah. okay. Now that I think about it, there’s no need to go into that liquid.

Why worry about that when you can just blow away from the center of the liquid?

With a simple conclusion, I drew the divinity into the tip of my mace.

An ordinary Mace, not my grandfather, could not smoothly accept divinity, but to me now, this was nothing.

I started struggling with this when I was just getting into divinity.

This is nothing to me now that I can handle divinity like breathing.

Seeing the nova gathering at the tip of my mace, the liquid seemed to sense something was wrong and attacked me fiercely.

    Trying to swallow it up

    Trying to crush it.

    I tried to pierce it.

However, all those attacks could not even reach my shield.

The foreshadowing of the attack was so clear and obvious that it was impossible to accept it.

Arriving near the center of the liquid, I jumped up and struck the center of the liquid, exploding the nova contained in the mace.

Then, the liquid that could not withstand the impact flew to the surrounding area, revealing the area pointed out by the weak spot.

First of all, there is nothing visible from the outside.

Is it down here? good. Then use the mace again.

…what? Why is the head of the mace in my hand gone?

Did it explode when the liquid exploded just now?!

I was laughing out loud, throwing away the weapon with only the handle left, and gathering the holy spirit into my fist.

Then, the moment I hit the floor with my fist, the hidden space and the boss who was controlling the liquid on top of the magic circle appeared.

Hmm. I wondered why I didn’t notice the presence down here, and it turned out that it was because there were all kinds of magic on this floor to hinder detection.

You put a lot of effort into it.

Even so, it doesn’t mean anything anymore.

As soon as the wizard hiding below saw me, he tried to use his own magic.

It was faster than that for me to grab his neck and twist it.

As the wizard who controls the liquid disappears, liquid that is almost like sewage flows into the hole.

I was watching him with an arrogant frown on my face, and caught the old man with my fingertips as he was about to fall into the liquid.

eww. Tell me. I wonder if this can be cleaned with purification magic.

I wondered what if it didn’t work, but fortunately the purification magic did its job by disposing of the waste.

After seeing my grandfather’s neat appearance, I shook my head and held him tightly in my hand.

‘grandfather. sorry. ‘Because I made a mistake.’

‘It looks like you had a very hard time. But it was only for a moment. Now it’s even cleaner.’

    “Kkeuhya!?”

I was frightened by my grandfather’s mind-shaking shouts, and was forced by him to sit sedentary on the dirty floor and listen to his nagging.

Ugh. I think I was too reckless this time.

Next time, let’s do our best to avoid being caught being intentional.

If you get hit roughly and reluctantly let go, you’ll be fine.

‘I’m listening. I’m listening, so don’t shout too much. ‘My head hurts.’

Arthur, who fell while attacking the boss on the 90th floor of the Academy Dungeon, woke up outside the dungeon.

The sky, which had been bright until we entered the dungeon, had already become sunset.

Is it already this time? He staggered to his feet, felt his stomach complaining of hunger, and sighed.

I’ve been moving non-stop ever since I ate breakfast and entered the dungeon, so it’s natural that I’m hungry.

Let’s have dinner first and then continue our strategy until the dungeon entrance closes.

With that thought in mind, he stretched out and moved his gaze to the board where the students’ grades were written.

Where Arthur and his group’s names had been written at the top until this morning, someone else’s name was now engraved.

Lucy Aln. She entered the dungeon a day late due to restrictions and has now overtaken Arthur and the others.

Even though there are restrictions in one way or another, is it still that bad?

“I think we should have ignored Lady Arlen’s complaints and imposed more restrictions.”

Joey, who was later kicked out of the dungeon, discovered Lucy’s name and burst into laughter.

They are also gaining an overwhelming speed compared to the other students, but Lucy can’t help but feel helpless as she overtook them all by herself.

    “It’s already the 99th floor.”

“If they struggle now, a turnaround will be impossible, right?”

    “Of course.”

“Ha. shit. I can’t help it. Let’s go get something to eat first. I’ll worry about what kind of harsh punishment Lucy Alln will give me later.”

Arthur and the others, thinking that they could not catch up by speeding up, talked about waiting for Lucy to come out while eating.

However, Lucy Alln did not come outside until they finished eating.

Even after they finished eating and returned to the dungeon entrance, Lucy Aln’s name was still fixed on the 99th floor of the dungeon.

As Arthur tilted his head at the sight of him, Joey asked the young lady nearby when Lucy’s name had been there since.

The daughter of the Lumley family, who was the subject of the question, blinked and said that it had been roughly two or three hours. The male student next to her corrected her.

“I have been stuck on the 99th floor for exactly two hours and twenty minutes. There must be something wrong.”

After hearing the boy’s story, the four people locked eyes with each other in silence and ran into the dungeon again.

The bet between them and Lucy Alln is not over yet.

    *

The 99th floor of the Academy Dungeon.

I was running with the momentum to conquer the dungeon in one day, but I was blocked by the wall at the end.

    What’s the problem?

The monster isn’t so strong that it can’t be dealt with.

The motto of this dungeon is that all students at the academy should be able to clear it, so there’s no way there’s anything that even I can’t handle.

It’s not like I don’t know the gimmick.

No matter how creative the academy’s professors are, they are ultimately just NPCs in the game.

It was nothing to me, who had overcome all kinds of obstacles outside of the game.

    So what’s the problem?

    It’s simple.

    99th floor.

This damn place is structured so that it can’t be conquered unless you’re in a party of 4!
