Becoming Younger!
by Afuhfuihgs
School attendance, a whopping 3rd day.
Trouble has erupted.
A prestigious middle school in Seoul, recommended by my parents, and it’s the future era.
I thought there wouldn’t be any bullying or harassment, but I guess that wasn’t the case.
How do I know that?
Because right now, a girl who looks like an iljin (school bully) is standing right in front of me, bleeding from her forehead, and her iljin gang is surrounding her, cursing at Na-gyeong.
What is going on?
The incident started when I arrived at school and was chatting with the kids I play L.O.L. with, when suddenly, some girls forcefully opened the classroom door and came in.
And they looked exactly like they were advertising, “I’m an iljin~”
They were wearing cardigans that looked like gym clothes over white dress shirts, with black underwear intentionally showing subtly, and skirts so short that you could see their panties with the slightest movement.
Seeing iljins who could have existed in my past right in front of me felt strange.
As soon as those girls entered the classroom, they made eye contact with us, who were standing in front of the classroom door.
“Euhm…”
The boys who were talking about games with me seemed uncomfortable with the girls who came in, so they stepped back slightly and looked at them warily.
“Are you Kim Na-gyeong?”
A voice and gaze full of hostility were directed at Na-gyeong.
So, this is middle school? New and interesting events happen every day.
Seriously, reality is more fun than most dating sims or visual novels, you know?
Na-gyeong, with her beautiful looks that don’t seem like a middle schooler’s and a perfect figure that makes people turn around when she passes by, has received several advances and confessions even though it’s only her 3rd day of school.
Perhaps because of that, it seems that the girls glaring at Na-gyeong in front of me are quite displeased.
“What’s the matter?”
“Look at the way she talks? So fucking annoying.”
The girl who seems to be the boss among the iljin girls who are coming on strong from the start.
Honestly, she’s a disabled person with no arms or legs, and she’s tiny, but her appearance is super cute?
So, I thought if there was any bullying or anything, it would come to me, but that wasn’t the case.
It was directed at Na-gyeong, who is my bodyguard protecting me.
But they picked the wrong person.
I don’t know everything about Na-gyeong, but Na-gyeong is an elite among elites.
She’s a fearsome woman who is one of the best in the world at ruthless fighting, having lived as a mercenary in the United States.
The reason I know this is because I saw it when I took a bath with Na-gyeong last time.
The scars all over her body and the various weapons she carried on her body.
According to Na-gyeong, she basically can’t win against a male opponent who is doing the same mercenary work as her due to the gender difference, but if it’s not that, she’s confident that she can beat anyone.
But they’re picking a fight with that Na-gyeong…?
“Come outside.”
The iljin girl gestured outside the classroom and went outside with the other iljin girls who came with her.
But Na-gyeong naturally ignored them.
As soon as the iljin kids left, the class president, Chan-mi, and her friends ran over in a hurry.
“Na-gyeong-ah, are you okay…?”
“What do we do? They’re iljin kids…”
“They even hang out with high school seniors…”
While the girls were stamping their feet, our great swordsman friend, who was slightly intimidated by the iljin girls, opened his mouth.
“It’s okay. Na-gyeong is Arang’s childhood friend, right? Who is Arang? She’s the youngest daughter of the most recognized Masble CEO in the world…!”
“You were so scared when they came in earlier that you gave up your seat!”
“Ugh…! I didn’t give up my seat because I was scared, I was just uncomfortable being next to girls!”
“Hmph. You talk to Arang just fine, though.”
“That’s because Arang isn’t just a girl, she’s a princess!”
While Chan-mi and our great swordsman friend were arguing, the iljin girl who had gone outside came back in, shouting.
“Are you ignoring me!”
The iljin girl, angered by Na-gyeong’s continued ignoring, hit the desk hard.
Jjieekㅡ!
But the desk that the iljin girl hit was my desk, and a page of the notebook game that I’m diligently creating every day was torn.
“Ah…”
The page I’m currently drawing is the part where I’m diligently drawing the boss’s gimmicks and pattern designs with my small hands.
“Aish!”
The iljin girl, who hit the slippery paper instead of a solid desk, naturally wobbled as if she slipped, and, perhaps out of embarrassment, shouted and crumpled the torn page of the notebook as she slipped and threw it.
What I diligently drew during class yesterday became trash.
I don’t care, but let me say again, I don’t care.
But it was a shocking event for Arang, whose mental age is still stuck at 10 years old.
‘This is making me tear up?’
This sensation of mental age decreasing, which I’m now somewhat used to.
“Hic. Hic.”
As my mental age decreases, the actions of crying become bigger.
“Arang-ah.”
Na-gyeong carefully wiped my tears with a handkerchief.
“What’s with the sudden bawling?”
No sooner had the iljin girl finished speaking than Na-gyeong wiped my tears with one hand and grabbed the iljin girl’s head with the other and slammed it hard on the desk.
Just like that iljin girl tore my notebook.
Kwang!
“Kyaaak!”
Ooh…
The iljin girl covered her head with her hands and fell backward from the sudden pain.
“Arang-ah, are you okay?”
Na-gyeong is taking care of only me, even though the iljin girl is crying and screaming in front of me.
I feel good for some reason.
“You fucking bitch!”
The iljin girl next to the crying iljin girl reached out her hand towards Na-gyeong. It was a hand movement full of intention to grab her hair or something, anyone could see it.
Na-gyeong, even though she was clearly looking at me, grabbed the wrist of the iljin girl who reached out her hand towards her.
“Eukㅡ! Aaaaaaak!”
Na-gyeong, after making her feel some pain, released the wrist she was holding and then picked me up.
“It seems like you’ll keep getting bothered if you stay here, so let’s go to the nurse’s office.”
==
“I’m sorry, Arang-nim.”
As soon as we entered the nurse’s office, ignoring the iljin kids, Na-gyeong bowed to me.
“It’s okay. It’s not like you could have done anything about it.”
“But looking at the current situation, it seems like they’ll keep picking fights.”
“That’s true…”
The fact that there are kids acting like that in this kind of middle school means that there’s almost a 100% chance that those kids aren’t the end of it.
Sigh.
I was just going to come to school comfortably, diligently create notebook games, and spend time talking about games and having student-like conversations with my friends, but they’re going to interfere with that?
“I’ve reported the events that have happened so far to Anna-nim. Arang-nim, you don’t have to worry.”
“Okay.”
Actually, I’m not that worried.
It’s just because they’re being noisy, but even though my mental age is sometimes in my teens, it’s also sometimes in my 30s.
Honestly, even if I cause a big accident, wouldn’t Anna take care of everything?
“First, I’ll wait in the nurse’s office in case they do something.”
“Then I should separate my prosthetic arms and legs for a bit.”
“I’ll help you.”
Now that it’s come to this, should I skip class?
Kkiiik.
After detaching my prosthetic arms and legs and watching anime on my phone in Na-gyeong’s arms, the school nurse came in.
“Oh? The curtains are drawn? Is anyone there?”
“Hello, teacher.”
“Even though I’m nice~, you should still get out of bed and greet meㅡ”
Chwaak.
The school nurse couldn’t finish her sentence as soon as the curtain opened.
I’m sorry. If I had been wearing my prosthetic arms and legs, you wouldn’t have been so surprised.
But it can’t be helped!
As the time I spend wearing my prosthetic arms and legs increases as I attend school, my leg amputation site hurts, or my shoulders feel stiff, so I want to detach them when I can.
“Ah, ahem. You’re Arang, who transferred this time. What brings you here? Don’t tell me you’re not feeling well somewhere…!? Does your head hurt, or does your body hurt, or do your eyes hurt!”
Na-gyeong, towards the school nurse who is suddenly shaking her hands and asking about my condition, told her about the events that had happened until just now.
“It’s not that, teacher. It’s just that there was a friend who suddenly threatened Arang this morning, so we came to the nurse’s office for a while.”
“Th-threaten…!? What crazy bastards are trying to commit suicideㅡgulp!”
The school nurse, who has a pretty face, was about to say harsh words but covered her mouth with her hand.
“Hahaha… Ah, it’s nothing. Hoooooksi, did they do anything to Arang…?”
The school nurse carefully came up to me and slowly checked to see if there were really no problems while speaking.
But the school nurse stepped on a landmine.
Ah, why did you say that, school nurse?
I was barely comforting Arang’s depressed mood by watching anime and raising her mental age.
My emotions are welling up again, and my mental age is starting to decrease.
“Sniffle.”
The memories of yesterday are resurfacing.
I diligently watched the teacher’s eyes and made a cool, pretty, and stylish boss while thinking deeply all day.
I made the boss with my small hands while skillfully avoiding the teacher’s surveillance in the front seat…
That iljin girl tore it with her hands, crumpled it, and threw it away.
Na-gyeong unnie (older sister) punished her, but that’s not enough to resolve it.
Hmph. She needs to be punished more.
