WFK

,Keueuk…. Just what conditions do I have to meet…!’
Monsters pouring out. A boss hiding among the monsters and recovering health.
My guild members and raid members clashed against the wave of monsters several times, working together. But the monsters kept pouring out endlessly.
Killing and killing, erasing and erasing, yet monsters kept appearing before my eyes.
‘The boss’s health… Damn it, damn it. I need to figure it out quickly.’
At the beginning of the WFK race, Yesol couldn’t do anything, but as the WFK race continued, she gradually proved why Arang put her in that position.
Quick and accurate briefings, not missing even the smallest detail while watching numerous screens at once, allowed them to catch up quickly, even though they were four days behind other raids in the WFK so far.
And in the process, Yesol realized how monstrous her raid members were.
Just once, if she said, “Let’s do this,” the raid members would execute it perfectly without even a single second of error, allowing her to quickly organize her thoughts.
Even the most amazing person can make mistakes. That’s the same for the Mead Raid.
But the ArangArang raid members couldn’t be found making any mistakes.
And the biggest reason for that was Arang.
Everyone in the raid worked hard, watching Arang show such a perfect performance.
Thanks to that effort, they were able to catch up with other raids despite being four days behind.
“Arang-ah, the DPS isn’t that important! Grab all the monster aggro by yourself and run to the boss! Tanks and healers, only care for Arang-i, and DPS, cool down alignment!”
I gave the order to Arang while everyone was gathered and dealing damage.
It was an absurd order.
It’s okay because this is a virtual world, but if it were reality, it would be the same as telling someone to go and die.
Death isn’t insignificant even in the Leore Raid.
The moment you die, you have to retry the raid.
But Arang-i and the raid members followed Yesol’s briefing without any complaints.
“Okay. Leave it to me.”
Buffs poured onto Arang.
Arang rushed towards the monsters pouring out in front of her, attacking not to kill the monsters with her greatsword, but to steal their aggro.
As the raid members except for Arang didn’t attack the monsters, the numerous monsters turned their attention to Arang in just a few seconds.
“Hoo… Hoo… Hoo…! Hheup!”
Arang swung her sword several times, panting.
The attacks of the monsters swarming like ants couldn’t kill Arang.
Arang wasn’t just taking hits, but because she was in an awakened state, she blocked, deflected, and parried most of the monster attacks, reducing the damage.
Of course, Arang would have died in less than a minute if she were alone, but with the care of the tanks and healers who were only watching Arang, Arang led the numerous monsters.
The monsters used their bodies as weapons to attack Arang, who was running towards the boss, her parent and king. But they couldn’t stop Arang’s charge.
“Just a little… just a little more…!”
-Kuweeeeeeeek!
Swinging her greatsword, grabbing the monsters’ bodies and throwing them away, and pushing through with her body, a path was created between the raid and Arang.
“Everyone, charge behind Arang now!”
As soon as they heard Yesol’s words, the raid members ran towards Arang, who was breaking through the front with her small back.
Even if Arang was far away and the raid members were right next to them, as long as the aggro system existed, the monsters didn’t attack the raid members and only moved to attack Arang.
Yesol, who had been calmly solving gimmicks and patterns until now, had a complicated mind due to the continuous tries.
Just one gimmick.
All the raids doing the WFK race were stuck on this gimmick.
The last boss’s health at 5%, the so-called desperation gimmick.
Most of the raids had reached the last boss after the four-day break, and even though the ArangArang raid, which was in 10th place, reached the last boss, all the raids couldn’t solve the desperation gimmick.
And that was the same for the ArangArang raid.
Even Arang couldn’t figure out how to do it.
Monsters were pouring out like a tsunami, and the monsters’ health was like that of a decent boss, so they didn’t die easily.
The boss was recovering 1% of its health every second from far away, and if they couldn’t deal with the monsters and barely managed to hold on, the boss would revive with 100% health.
Ranged attacks? Useless. The monsters were sticking to the boss, protecting it.
Awakening skill?
Even if a path opened for a moment, it would be filled with monsters again in less than a second.
All the raids couldn’t find an answer, and Yesol felt like it was her fault.
‘Something, there’s definitely something! I have to figure it out! A way to end the desperation pattern!’
While worrying and worrying like that, she realized one thing.
The monsters that didn’t react much to ranged attacks in the previous tries showed a different reaction to the mage’s fire attacks.
Usually, when a monster died from an attack, the empty space would be filled by another monster.
But with fire attacks, the monsters would gather in advance and create a thicker layer of monsters to get hit.
‘Fire. I could have ended this situation with fire.’
The problem was how to inflict fire damage on the boss.
So, she thought of breaking through.
‘Ranged attacks are impossible. Then, I’ll break through directly and use fire attacks on the boss.’
The thinking up to this point was good.
But the problem was what to do with the boss.
There were too many monsters, so breaking through didn’t make sense.
She kept trying but failed, and eventually, she trusted Arang and made Arang take all the aggro alone.
And Yesol’s belief was successful.
Arang endured the amount of monsters that even tanks had difficulty with, creating a path for the raid members to move forward.
In that situation, having arrived in front of the boss, Arang’s awakening gauge, who had taken all the attacks alone, was full.
“Everyone except Arang, attack the boss, and the mage, hit the boss with a fire attribute attack!”
Thanks to Arang, the monsters protecting the boss momentarily disappeared due to the explosive attacks of the raid members, who were in top condition, and in that gap, the mage’s fire attack hit.
[Kkieeeeeeeeeeeek!!!]
The boss’s scream was so painful that even the same monsters covered their ears.
The boss’s health, which had been rising until now, didn’t just drop back to 5% with a single fire attack, but dropped to 1%.
“Arang-ah!!!”
It was perfect timing for anyone to see.
The boss was in pain. Arang’s awakening gauge was full. The raid members were protecting Arang to protect her.
Arang was about to use her awakening skill towards the last boss, who was suffering in front of her, holding her giant greatsword.
Sseueuk.
Arang felt goosebumps all over her body at the boss’s smile.
Peoeok!
“Arang-ah!”
Arang’s awakening skill was canceled as she was stunned by the damage that came in an instant.
“Shibalㅡ”
Arang, with the boss’s hand piercing her chest, cursed directly for the first time in her life as Arang, and her body exploded and she died.
==
‘Ha… seriously.’
As soon as I revived at the preparation area, I kicked the floor hard and sighed.
The boss, with 1% health remaining, killed me and absorbed health, recovering health again, and as soon as the boss revived, it killed those numerous monsters and raid members.
In the end, they were all wiped out.
I was hasty.
Too hasty.
The progress was pushed back due to the four-day break.
I pushed myself and caught up with the other raids.
I wanted to give the first clear to the raid members who had a four-day break because of me, so I was unknowingly impatient.
I didn’t even look at the boss’s motion and just used the awakening skill, which had a long pre-delay and post-delay, and because of that, I couldn’t avoid the boss’s attack and got hit and died.
“It’s a shame!”
“Arang-ah, it’s okay! You know how to break this gimmick now!”
“That’s right. All that’s left is to clear it!”
The raid members who revived after the wipe comforted me, saying it was okay.
I took a deep breath and came to my senses.
That’s right. It’s not over yet.
There’s still a chanceㅡ

WORLD FIRST KILL

The UI showing that the Mead Raid had achieved WFK appeared before everyone’s eyes with a booming sound.
“Ah.”
“Oh no…”
Everyone was disappointed when the news of the WFK achievement appeared just a few minutes after the raid was wiped out.
And that disappointment was only because of me.
If I hadn’t been so hasty and had been calm, if I had calmly looked at the boss’s motion, if I had thought a little and used the awakening skill, the WFK would have been ours, the ArangArang raid’s.
I couldn’t control my emotions, which were moving as they pleased because it was still my period, and tears flowed down.
Pinku Berry hugged me, who was crying.
