Placement Matches

    Back to the arena again.

I have to be serious now.

It’s ranked game time. That means my ranking will be determined with each match from now on.

Especially the 10 placement matches that decide your initial rank are the most important.

In other words, I absolutely can’t lose.

I went into the training grounds in the arena to warm up first.

Unlike other training grounds, the scarecrow isn’t just a torso, but a full human-shaped dummy.

    ‘My condition is perfect.’

Maybe it’s because I worked out, took a half-bath, and even got a massage, but my body is moving so smoothly today.

The skill combos flow seamlessly, and switching the dagger between regular and reverse grip feels effortless.

After hitting the scarecrow for a while, I immediately pressed the ranked game matching button.

Various notifications popped up, but I ignored them all and pressed the matching button again.

    -Tti-ring.

    Another instant match.

It matched me in almost 3 seconds.

My first opponent in ranked game is… *thump thump thump*.

A robe that reaches the ankles, a huge wizard hat, and a short wand. A wizard class with a wand, and the robe is covered in numerous small vials.

It’s an [Enchanter], a debuff class in the mage category.

‘I heard that meeting a pure support Enchanter is annoying…’

Enchanters are not a class advantageous in PVP.

Mages are already a difficult class for PVP, and Enchanters are even more challenging.

That’s why they’re among the least played classes in PVP. But Enchanters have a surprisingly decent win rate.

You could say it’s because only the good Enchanters are left, but Soonchu-hyung says that he especially hates Enchanters, and sometimes when he’s in a bad mood, he just surrenders without even fighting.

The reason is none other than the Enchanter’s concept.

‘Ugh… why an Enchanter right from the start…’

Enchanters don’t have many attack skills. And even fewer skills suitable for PVP.

An Enchanter’s PVP fight isn’t about winning against the opponent, but…

“Slow! Bind! Restraint! Reduced vision! Petrification! Paralysis!”

    “What the hell-!”

They’re the kind of bastards who PVP just to piss people off.

The damage from their attack skills is trash, barely enough to make you flinch. But Enchanters don’t use them for the damage.

Your body gets heavy, you slow down, your vision narrows, your body occasionally freezes, it’s just a CC skill bomb, that’s the Enchanter.

A normal fight doesn’t happen when you PVP with an Enchanter.

Usually, in PVP, you reduce each other’s health to defeat the opponent, but an Enchanter’s fight isn’t about reducing the enemy’s HP to win, but about making the opponent give up, or winning by HP ratio after using up all the time.

It just means that people who PVP as Enchanters are all out of their minds.

Debuff skills are magic, so you can’t parry or block them, you can only avoid them, which isn’t easy.

Even now, I can only evade about half of the debuff skills that an Enchanter throws at me.

They’re firing magic like bullets, and it’s impossible to dodge.

It’s more like the skills they’re spamming just happen to miss.

    “Arang-nim, I’m a fan!”

An Enchanter user is saying that while spamming debuffs like crazy.

The Enchanter user’s skill is better than I thought. No, it’s infuriating.

Whenever I try to use a movement skill, a swamp, which is a movement skill prohibition debuff, is immediately placed on the ground where I am.

They keep a reasonable distance when I approach, and come in at the perfect timing before the debuff is解除.

Debuff duration calculation, my movement skill cooldown calculation.

The range calculation of the Assassin skill is also perfect. They seem to know more about Assassins than I do.

They’re probably a user who’s extremely familiar with PVP.

Whether it’s the Greatswordsman user or the Enchanter user, there are occasionally users who surprise me.

There’s no opening. This user… is definitely a high-level user. Seriously, matching me with someone like this from the first placement match?

Even if I had a 10-0 record in normal games, isn’t it too much to make me meet a user like this right away?

For now, victory is certain for me.

No matter how much they spam debuffs and try to block my approach, if that was 100% possible, Enchanters would be OP.

But that’s not the case. An Enchanter has to land about 20 attacks to equal one of mine, that’s how pathetic their attack power is.

No matter how good the Enchanter user is, I’m also pretty good, so I’ve already landed quite a few attacks and reduced the Enchanter’s health much more than mine.

Victory is 100% decided for me.

The problem is that even knowing that, the Enchanter user has no intention of giving up.

    “Arang-nim, I love you!”

The Enchanter, who is also a female user, is smiling and saying that while throwing debuffs at me like crazy, and it’s giving me goosebumps all over my body.

This Enchanter doesn’t seem to have any intention of winning. Maybe this Enchanter user… is planning to use this PVP time to endure.

To be with me for as long as possible!

Have I ever seen such a crazy user?

    “It was an honor~”

In the end, I couldn’t kill the Enchanter and won due to time running out. The Enchanter user waved her hand around with a smiling face.

I frowned at that Enchanter user.

“Ah, that expression is so delicious!!! Awesome!!!”

    “Ah…”

The Enchanter user said what she wanted to say and disappeared.

    I’m exhausted.

I was going to do all 10 placement matches today, but I used up all my energy in that last match.

I can see why Soonchu-hyung said he surrenders immediately when he meets an Enchanter. It’s a class that can’t help but be annoying.

It’s the first time I’ve been hit by debuffs directly, and it feels quite bad.

Especially since I have sensitive senses, the moment I get hit by a debuff, it feels like someone is forcibly manipulating my nerves, which is even unpleasant.

Enchanter. It’s a class I never want to meet in PVP.

PVP already requires you to think about a lot of things because the opponent is a person, but with debuffs on top of that, it feels like I’m going crazy.

Was PVP this difficult? No. It’s just that Enchanter is a trash class.

Anyway, the Enchanter ratio in the PVP arena is the lowest.

I probably won’t meet one again.

Because the Enchanter ratio in PVP is 0.3%.

[Arang-nim Finally Started Ranked Games] [310]

    (Picture)

    (Video)

As soon as I confirmed that Arang-nim entered the arena, I queued up as an Enchanter.

Thanks to that, I had a full hour of arena date with Arang-nim.

Everyone, arena date with our Arang-nim ㄱㄱ

I’ll recommend a class that allows you to enjoy a full hour with Arang-nim

First of all, of course, the number one is Enchanter. I think everyone knows the reason. Very stable full-time date possible.

    Next is Grim Reaper.

With ridiculous movement skills, your health decreases by a percentage every time you use them, but you don’t die. In other words, if you have no intention of winning, a full date is possible.

The downside is that you have to spend time with movement skills, so you can’t leisurely look at Arang-nim’s face.

The last one is, of course, Tanker Knight.

You can just stay in place by using survival skills and healing skills.

But the knight’s disadvantage is too big.

    There’s a high possibility that Arang-nim’s expression won’t change.

So what should we do? It’s definitely Enchanter. If you watch the Enchanter play video, you can see Arang-nim’s various expressions. This is the real delicacy.

    (Picture)

An expression of narrowing the eyes.

    (Picture)

An expression of widening the eyes.

    (Picture)

An expression of being annoyed while looking at the floor due to the swamp debuff.

    (Picture)

An expression of being angry at the debuff shower.

    22

My favorite Arang-nim screenshot. An expression of sending a contemptuous look after it’s over.

Just one bowl of rice is gone in a flash.

Everyone, let’s queue up as Enchanter now. ㄱㄱ

    [Comments]

    I raised an Enchanter for this~ kekeke Let’s go~

ㄴㅋㅋㅋㅋI’m already queuing up until I find Arang-nim

But isn’t the Gallery Master doing placements? Where is the MMR right now?

ㄴMollu? He had a 10-0 record in normal games, so I think he’ll start high?

ㄴDoes the record in normal games affect the ranked game MMR?

ㄴUsually not, but if the record in normal games is overwhelmingly good, there’s an unspoken rule that it affects the placements

    ㄴㅇㅎ…

Maybe people between Platinum and Diamond will meet him? Bronze, Silver, and Gold, ㅅㄱ

ㄴㅅㅂ I queued up hard, but he didn’t come out ㄲㅂ

ㄴHow dare Bronze, Silver, and Gold try to meet Gallery Master-nim

    Something’s wrong here.

The fifth out of 10 placement matches has ended. But I met an Enchanter in 3 out of 5 matches.

Clearly, Enchanter is the lowest-ranked class in the arena, with only 0.3% usage. But 3 out of 5 matches are with Enchanters? 3 out of 5 matches means the probability is almost 60%.

Does that make sense? Does it make sense for 0.3% to become 60%?

It doesn’t make sense in terms of probability.

What’s the probability of 0.3% happening 3 times out of 5? It feels like I pulled the pickup character 6 times out of 10 pulls in a gacha 뽑기 game right now.

It doesn’t make sense! This is definitely a scam. A scam.

There’s no way this can happen.

Of course, winning is good. But there’s no fun in winning against an Enchanter!
