Epilogue – Five Years After Graduating from the Academy

I don’t know who will be brazen enough to peek into my diary, but I’m writing this epilogue because I’m sure someone will be curious about how the last Ross is living.

Maybe Ross of the Gloomy Yearning is watching? Or Ross of Hope, or the Magic King Ross… Maybe another Ross, or maybe this will all be meaningless. But I’ll write it with a happy heart.

At first, I naturally thought it was the right order to start with my story. I’m the protagonist of Roel’s novel, but this is my diary. Still, I’ll try to write as objectively as possible.

On the day of the entrance ceremony, I reunited with Luna and, as always, fell in love with her again. Thanks to that, I had to skip the entrance ceremony, but I still think it was the right choice when I remember that day. After all, there aren’t that many opportunities to make love in the academy library, which is always full of people… Well, it’s a precious memory.

Anyway, to briefly explain what happened after that, Luna and I had a long conversation about what to do in the future. Then, I gathered the Messiah members in one place. It was the day after the entrance ceremony, so they were all bewildered but followed me like chicks without refusing. However, it felt very awkward to see the members looking at Luna and me with unfamiliar eyes.

Since I hadn’t obtained the secret room yet, I explained to them in an empty classroom everything that had happened to us. Rakar, who was looking at me with wary eyes, said he would receive the memories as soon as the words “receive the memories” came out. Aria’s eyes lit up and she waved her hand enthusiastically, saying she would do it.

Kane pondered for quite a while. He rubbed his brow and scratched the tip of his nose, looking at Luna and me with eyes as if he were looking at a strange cult, and pondered for a long time before finally nodding. He was persuaded by the fact that I brought up the secrets about his family that he had never told anyone, and the story about his mother.

All the members received the memories from me. Rakar, who had digested the memories, cried quietly, Kane grinned stupidly with his mouth open, and Aria shed tears with a complicated expression.

But before long, we were able to return to our old selves. The Messiah club was reborn. We had a fun academy life. This isn’t just my opinion, it’s everyone’s common thought. We really had fun every single day.

We even received more members into the Messiah club. Eunice, who transferred as a special case like before (and cried for a long time after receiving the memories), and Luna’s best friend, Navier.

Even Estelle, who was the smallest but the biggest support in the academy, joined the Messiah club.

Much later, many talented and fun juniors became members of the Messiah club.

Even after we graduated, the Messiah club has established itself as an important club in Transcendence Academy.

    Let’s talk about after graduation.

Rakar graduated from the academy and married his fiancée, Elena. He also has a cute son named Ricara. He is currently a guard knight in the capital. You can think of it as a role similar to a modern police officer. I recently heard that he is receiving excellent evaluations from his colleagues and superiors. He seems satisfied with his job as well.

Kane became an alchemist again. He even chose to share his lifespan with Aria like before. He seems to like the fact that their ends will be together. Kane, who became an alchemist, is currently traveling the continent with his wife, Aria. Aria, who likes delicious things and new and fun things, was a good match for Kane’s camping hobby.

For reference, this time he didn’t kill Aria’s parents. Since Aria could live normally without killing innocent people, they no longer needed to commit murder. But since their past of killing people remained, Aria’s parents sold all their assets, found the victims’ families, gave them huge compensation, atoned to God, and are living by serving others.

As soon as Estelle received the memories from me, rather than crying or being confused like others, she immediately raised her eyes sharply like a cat and demanded compensation for the bloody efforts she had made in the previous world. Of course, I granted everything Estelle wanted. Her demands were reasonable.

Estelle, who graduated a year earlier than us, found all the members of her clan scattered throughout the continent and built a city next to the newly established World Tree. (Of course, Emperor Bella helped. For reference, the two are close friends who exchange insults as soon as they meet.)

The information guild Modiste has been transformed into a huge magazine company. Currently, Ember is the editor-in-chief and is running Modiste as the best magazine company on the continent. Ember is really good at her job. For reference, I heard that Ember’s younger sister, Amy, entered Transcendence Academy and became a member of the Messiah club.

Yunis, a strategist who read the situation, is working hard in the imperial family as before. Bella especially cherishes her, they say. She lives every day exhausted for everyone’s sake and is still… a virgin since birth. For reference, Navier is dating a first-year combat department student who just entered in her fourth year and is about to get married soon. Who knew she liked younger men? Still, she has an eye for men, and she chose a pretty steadfast and decent man. If he were a weirdo in the first place, Raellan wouldn’t have allowed it.

Since Raellan’s name came up, I’ll write about him too. Raellan was definitely a colleague who fought hard for our victory, but… everyone knew what kind of person the Mad Strategist was, so it was necessary to be careful about delivering the memories. If he put the continent in danger after gaining the memories, I would also be responsible for delivering them.

Still, I thought of Raellan as a colleague and thought I should deliver the memories. He even died to save me. However, due to Kane and Aria’s fierce opposition, the Messiah club had to have a pretty long discussion, and after a fierce debate, they finally decided to deliver the memories and stop Raellan together if he did anything strange.

Using a weekend outing, I went to the Perlkus family with the members and tried to deliver the memories to Raellan after explaining everything sufficiently, but… Raellan sharply cut off my kind explanation and got angry, telling me to deliver the memories right away.

Having no choice, I delivered the memories and was scolded by Raellan for a long time. Raellan noticed like a ghost that I was worried about whether to deliver the memories. Everyone avoided my gaze, speechless at the words that this was how I was being treated after he gave his life.

Fortunately, what we feared didn’t happen. Rather, Raellan criticized us, saying that our worries were nothing more than stupid acts that proved that our heads were just decorations to keep our center of gravity. He asked who the hell would pick a fight with a munchkin who could even kill the Demon King.

Actually, I was worried because I thought Raellan would definitely do that… but I didn’t argue back because the person in question was angry and saying it. In fact, Raellan had no intention of fighting Roel at all. He knew that he had absolutely no chance of winning with force, so he was thinking of growing the power of the Perlkus family in a different way from the start.

The method was completely unexpected. Using the excuse that I was late in delivering the memories to him, Raellan obtained the location of the kimchi master hidden in the north from me, and immediately found the kimchi master (the kimchi master was a dwarf!) and treated him as a noble guest of the family.

Based on my modern memories, he created a logistics center that could deliver kimchi every morning from anywhere on the continent, and is now a large northern family that exclusively sells kimchi throughout the continent. Raellan’s mad plan to conquer the continent’s commercial district with kimchi seems to have a good chance of becoming a reality.

I also receive and eat various kimchi every day.

The person who received the memories before Raellan was Ellie. Luna insisted that I had to deliver the memories to Ellie as well. We wouldn’t have been able to reunite without her help. I also had gratitude, so I delivered the memories to Ellie. Ellie, who cried for a long time and punched the wall with her fist or swung her staff, soon returned to normal.

“…I’m glad that you two were finally able to be happy. I mean it.”

That’s what Ellie said for the first time after digesting the memories. Ellie, who received the memories, grew mentally quickly, and grew rapidly based on the memories and became a great archmage like in the novel. For reference, Headmaster Nelson, who became Ellie’s teacher like before, retired around the time we graduated and is currently spending his remaining years comfortably in a southern resort.

After graduating from the academy, Ellie is currently juggling childcare and a professorship. Even Ellie’s house is right across from ours, so when Ellie is busy with exam preparation or lectures, we sometimes put the cute Roelli to sleep at our house.

There was another person who received the memories around the same time as Ellie. It was Bella. Luna also pondered quite a bit this time. But in the end, she couldn’t ignore the fact that her actions made it possible for everyone to win. After a long deliberation, I delivered the memories to Bella. After digesting the memories, she knelt down in front of Luna and me, pressed her forehead to the ground, and apologized with tears.

    “…I’m sorry. And, thank you.”

Bella, who expressed her apology for her actions and her gratitude for making it possible for Roel to win, promised us one thing.

She promised to work for everyone’s happiness until the end of her life.

As promised, she became a completely different person. Bella, who became emperor, is working hard for the continent. These days, I’m worried that she’s not sleeping. Even people who aren’t interested in politics think that the emperor is a blessing that God has given to the continent.

She created an improved portal through me, eliminated various evils, and honored the noble status. The number of academies on the continent, which used to be only four, has also increased to ten. I can’t even fathom how much she has changed, or how much she has planned and executed.

One thing is certain, as long as Bella is the emperor, the continent will dream of happiness every day in peace and development. For reference, I heard that Bella finally had a child. I heard it’s all thanks to Roel’s constant efforts. Luna and I sincerely blessed Bella’s pregnancy.

The last person who received the memories from me was… Roel. This was done under a plan to deliver the memories to Roel with advice from everyone to prevent what would happen in the future and minimize the damage. Roel, who had already noticed that I was different from the Ross he knew, pretended not to know that fact and treated me like a normal younger brother until I delivered the memories.

After a sufficient explanation, Roel received the memories from me…

    …He cried like a child.

Without caring at all that his handsome face was a mess.

He cried for a long time, swallowed his breath, and made countless emotions with his expression.

And finally, he took a deep breath and said this.

    “…I’m glad.”

While hugging Luna and me tightly with both arms.

After that, Roel grew at an amazing speed and saved the world without anyone knowing. Because he solved all the problems before the world was threatened. He killed both Confession and the cult leader, and with Ellie’s help, he crossed over to the Demon Realm and impregnated the Demon King. In addition, the child born between Roel and the Demon King (they’re quintuplets) had the ability to eliminate the Chaos that was destroying the Demon Realm. Thanks to that, the future where the Demon King crosses the eastern border and invades the human world has disappeared. So everyone doesn’t know that Roel is a hero.

But rather, Roel smiles kindly, saying that he likes that better.

“My shoulders are lighter, you see.”

Still, Roel is Roel. He currently wakes up early every morning and cleans up dangerous dungeons and monsters all over the continent. And that’s without pay. Before evening, he always returns to the capital via portal and fulfills his role as the father of many children without fail.

He has also become quite close with me, who has overcome my inferiority complex. We often go fishing together and go camping together. Of course, when Roel brings his whole family, it’s closer to camping than camping.

The number of children who call me uncle is roughly over 20. Even three more are scheduled to be added next month. I suggested a reasonable opinion that they should do their children’s birthdays all at once, but I almost got killed by Ilia and Flavia. Rosalyn even shook a vial with a bald head drawn on it, telling me to be careful at night.

If I hadn’t played with my nephews and nieces for weeks with countless gifts every day… my crown would definitely be bare right now.

Since I talked about my nephews and nieces, I think I have to brag about my children. What kind of fate was the paradise I experienced in the labyrinth? I was lucky enough to become the father of two children named Roy and Rosie once again. For reference, Roy and Rosie are the most lovely and cute beings in the world. I’m sure of it because I’m the one who created this world.

Now that it’s time to wrap up the epilogue, I’ll end with the most important story of Luna and me. Luna, who has become the mother of two children, will soon become the mother of three children. We’ve already decided on the names. If it’s a boy, it’s Roca, and if it’s a girl, it’s Loki.

Luna, who graduated from the academy, is a good mother, a good wife, and still the person I love the most in the world. Of course, Roy and Rosie too.

I graduated from the academy and am currently living as a great inventor and novelist. If I used my magic knowledge to make things from the world I lived in as Jin Shian similar, it was a revolution and development.

I used my magic knowledge to create a culture called movies on the continent, made it possible to listen to music anywhere, and also created artifacts similar to cell phones that allow people to hear each other’s voices through the World Tree anywhere on the continent. Improved portals, wings that allow people to fly in the sky, pet translators… and so on.

I was the one who was called a genius leading the era. It was Jin (taken from the first letters of Jin Shian).

But I hid the fact that the great inventor Jin was me. This was because of Bella’s advice. She told me how tiring my life would be if it became known that I was the genius of the era, the great inventor Jin.

So the neighbors around me only know me as a novelist. Of course, that alone is a pretty tiring life. It was a big side effect created by my goal of making Sherlock Holmes known in this world (it’s not plagiarism, it’s an homage), but… still, writing novels is always fun. Writing fairy tales for my children is also fun.

In short, I am loved, I love, and I live happily.

So it would be good to end the epilogue like this.

The hero’s younger brother can’t help but be happy now.
