Temple

Now that I’ve solved the problem, all that’s left is to confirm the answer. We headed to the top of the lighthouse with trembling hearts.
Manipulating the reflector to reveal the reason for the lighthouse’s existence was entrusted to Delan-ssi, who had lived as a lighthouse keeper for a long time.
Based on what he wrote in his notebook, Delan-ssi manipulated the reflector one by one with trembling hands.
The light of the lighthouse began to gather in one place through the reflector, and then it emitted a huge light toward the dark sea.
It was something that could only be described as beautiful. Pushing away the old darkness, the lighthouse showed a path of light.
The light created by the special reflector created a path like the Milky Way, and at the end of that path, there was a building that looked like a temple.
Watching the scene, Delan-ssi shed tears with an emotional expression, and Navia-yang looked at it with hazy eyes. Hiding my expectations that I could get my hands on the God’s fountain pen, I said the reason why this lighthouse exists.
,The purpose of this lighthouse was one thing. It must be to light the way to the temple over there.”
Delan-ssi and Navia-yang nodded as if they understood. While Delan-ssi was calming his emotions, Navia-yang approached and asked.
,What is that thing over there? It looks like a temple on the outside.”
,I’ll have to check it out myself while the lighthouse light is on.”
,Maybe it’s like an ancient dungeon? There might be a huge treasure hidden there.”
I felt a slightly excited feeling in her voice. I felt the danger that if Navia-yang became interested in that temple, it would be difficult to shake her off.
The fewer people who know a secret, the more valuable it is. So Navia-yang had to stay in the lighthouse.
,Okay, I’ll go check it out, so wait here with Delan-ssi.”
I spoke in a calm voice, but it didn’t seem like Navia-yang would be persuaded.
,…What? What kind of bullshit is that! I’m going too! An old secret is right in front of me, and you want me to stay still? You son of a bitch!”
I was dumbfounded by Navia-yang’s voice, as if she had been betrayed, but I couldn’t help but understand her feelings.
My actions now are no different from taking a child to an amusement park, instilling expectations, and then saying, ‘You’re young, so watch safely here.’
With a sigh, I persuaded her in a low voice. I tried to persuade Delan-ssi with the reason that he had to protect the lighthouse light from going out, and Navia-yang with the reason that she was dangerous because she had no weapons.
Unlike Delan-ssi, who nodded obediently to my words, Navia-yang insisted to the end.
,You can just go and look around. And you don’t have any weapons either, do you? You shouldn’t go either, because you don’t know what might happen to you.”
I smiled slyly at Navia-yang, who was smiling with joy as if she had found an error in my words. I said it on purpose, thinking that Navia-yang would point out this contradiction if I said these words.
When I took out the Spear of Destruction from the space warehouse and hung it on my shoulder, Navia-yang looked at me with a dumbfounded face.
As expected, the reaction is good. It’s fun to tease her.
,Now I can go, right?”
When I slightly raised the corners of my mouth, Navia-yang’s eyes became moist as if she was upset and about to cry. She wouldn’t cry, but I still said words of comfort so she wouldn’t be sulky.
,I don’t know what’s there. But a man who knows manners can’t take a woman to a place where he doesn’t know what dangers there are on their first date, right?”
When I was smiling victoriously at Navia-yang, who was just staring at me with resentful eyes, unable to say anything. Delan-ssi, who was listening to the conversation next to me, interjected in a reluctant voice.
,Are you, by any chance, on your first date in a place like this…?”
That’s… I have nothing to say. I avoided his gaze, pretending not to hear. Navia-yang glared at me with an undisguised gaze, but I desperately looked ahead.
,So how are you going to get there? It’s across the sea, so you can’t cross it, right? If you’re thinking of swimming dangerously, I’ll desperately stop you. Why don’t you just come back next time with weapons and a boat? Bring your uncle too. The more people, the safer it is.”
I guess she changed the direction of her persuasion. But I had already come up with a way to make a makeshift raft. Perhaps because the lighthouse light had driven away the darkness, the parts affected by the light were relatively calm, so it would be enough to cross.
I opened the space warehouse and shook a bag of seeds in front of Navia-yang’s eyes. I lowered my hand slightly at the sight of her frowning.
,What is this?”
I answered triumphantly to Navia-yang’s sulky voice.
,Papana tree seeds. This tree is why I was able to easily set fire to the island in the survival test. The inside is empty and there’s oil inside. Thanks to that, it floats on water. If you tie several of these together with string, you can make a raft.”
Now there’s no reason for Navia-yang to hold me back. As I waited to see what kind of reaction she would show, for some reason, Navia-yang stared intently at my face.
,It’s like you knew this would happen.”
I pretended to be calm at her suspicious gaze.
,…It’s improvisation.”
As expected, Navia-yang has a sharp side.

I took a makeshift raft and headed to the temple along the path of light created by the lighthouse. I got a plank from the lighthouse’s underground warehouse and tied it to the front of the Spear of Destruction with a string and used it to row.
Perhaps because the distance was longer than I thought, I was able to reach the land where the temple was located after about 30 minutes. After putting the raft on the land so that it wouldn’t drift away, I untied the plank that was tied to the spear and headed to the temple.
On the way to the temple, there were countless stone towers that looked like someone had artificially piled up stones. Did people used to come and go here a lot? It was a land where not a single tree grew, so no one lived there.
When I arrived at the temple, I immediately tried to open the door, but some invisible force refused to approach the door. Even if I tried to open it with force by drawing up magic power, the door wouldn’t budge.
Perhaps ancient magic or a barrier was blocking other people from entering. Fortunately, my Spear of Destruction has the power to break magic and barriers.
When I put the power of destruction into the spear and stabbed it at the door, I felt with my fingertips that something invisible that was blocking the temple door was breaking.
When I pushed the door with my hand, the door opened very easily, as if nothing had happened.
Moistening my dry lips with saliva at the thought that God’s fountain pen was right in front of me, I headed inside the temple.
Step, step. The sound of stepping on marble echoed inside the temple.
Thanks to the light sent from the lighthouse, light comes down from the hole in the ceiling and illuminates the inside of the temple. The place where I am now is the passage leading to the center of the temple.
The temple, which no one had entered for a long time, was cleaner than I thought, perhaps because it had endured the years with magic. However, on the walls of the passage, unknown ancient characters were written in blood and hardened.
I don’t know the content, but I felt like it was warning something. When I came out of the passage, I could see the center of the temple. It’s a wide square space.
At the same time as taking a step forward, a spear flew from the right in a surprise attack. At the same time as ducking my head to deflect the attack, I reflexively twisted my shoulder and swung the spear.
It definitely brushed against my body, but there was nothing caught on the tip of the spear. As I regained my balance, I was able to understand the reason when I checked the opponent who had launched the surprise attack.
The body is made of bones, and blue light is visible in the eyes where nothing exists. The reason why my attack didn’t work was because it brushed against the empty space between the ribs.
A skeleton suddenly appearing in the temple, and it’s the first time I’ve seen a skeleton using a spear. Judging from the speed of the attack, I shouldn’t think of it as a normal monster level. The speed is similar, and it’s not easy to inflict damage with a stab on a body that only has bones.
While keeping a few steps apart and glaring at each other. The skeleton that held the spear to me shouted something unknown.
Before I could even understand those words, another skeleton appeared from behind and launched a surprise attack. But I skillfully read the trajectory of the spear aiming for my back and deflected the attack with the entrance to the dimension.
In the second trial room, I had experienced fighting multiple enemies to the point where I was now skilled. It was now easy to turn a surprise attack from behind into a counterattack.
Like flowing water, I created a dimensional exit above the head of the skeleton in front of me that was approaching me. The skull of the skeleton that was hit by the spear of its comrade shook greatly.
Unfortunately, the skeleton that was aiming for my back stopped attacking before the spear touched its skull, so the force was weakened and the skull was not pierced.
Taktaktak, the attacked skeleton moved its jaw and moved its teeth. It was as if it was blaming the other skeleton that had attacked it. I heard a sound from behind as if it was making excuses, but I didn’t miss the opportunity and immediately swung the spear.
The skeleton in front of me skillfully bent its knees slightly, deflected my attack, and launched a counterattack. I immediately swung the spear to block the attack and threw my body to the side. The spear plunged down into the spot where I had been standing just now.
It was easier not to show my back when facing multiple enemies. I leaned my back against the wall of the temple and recognized the space coordinates. The skeletons flashed blue light and prepared to rush at me.
At the same time as the skeletons rushed at me, I finished thinking. The skeleton on the left stabbed the spear aiming for my shoulder. I turned the Spear of Destruction in both hands like a windmill and pushed the spear upwards.
After seeing the spear enter the dimensional entrance that I had created in advance, I immediately closed the entrance. It’s a weapon cutting technique that I created as one of the techniques while thinking hard about how to make the most of my abilities during the vacation. I’m thinking of giving it a plausible cool name later.
The cut-off spear fell in front of me through the dimensional exit that I had set up. I deflected it with the spear and blocked the skeleton rushing in from the right. Taking advantage of that brief gap, I put the power of destruction into it and stabbed the spear forward into nothing.
The spear that was sucked into the dimensional entrance soon appeared behind the head of the skeleton that had lost its weapon and smashed its skull. The blue light disappeared, and the bones scattered to the floor as if they were crushed.
The remaining skeleton rushed at me, shouting something unknown. If it’s 1 on 1, a skeleton is easy. I stabbed the spear forward, aiming for the back of the skeleton’s head.
Even if it’s a skeleton, I was impressed by the way it turned its body and reacted to the attack, as if it had learning ability. Even skeletons can be fooled.
I stabbed it on purpose as if to show it. I’m going to aim for your back, so be careful. At the same time as the skeleton that noticed the warning turned its body, I pulled out the spear from the dimensional entrance, adjusted the dimensional exit once again, and then burst the skeleton’s skull from the front with the spear that had a longer range by stabbing it.
The battle ended, making me feel how much I had grown during the vacation. I didn’t even use the ultimate move, the intangible.
As I smiled with satisfaction, the sound of bones falling to the ground echoed belatedly in the temple.
