Chapter Index

    Artificial spirit Precia.

A super artificial spirit created by concentrating all the technological power of the ancient Atlantica civilization when it was flourishing.

Presia was said to be a culmination of magical engineering with a higher level of perfection than any other artificial spirit in the modern era.

An artificial life form with an ego no different from that of a human.

    Did someone do that?

Highly developed science is like magic.

But this was a world where real magic existed. The study of science had been replaced by magic engineering, a combination of magic and engineering.

That’s why there was a saying here.

Highly developed magical engineering is like a miracle from God.

The purpose of creating Presia in Atlantica was for the Colossus, a giant god soldier.

Atlantica, who created an enormous colossus by beating all technology, discovered that the Colossus could not be controlled by ordinary artificial spirits due to excessive technological power.

There was no problem with the operation itself, but the problem was that the performance of the Colossus could not be fully demonstrated.

So they began developing an artificial spirit that could perfectly bring out the performance of Colossus, and the result was Precia.

But something unexpected happened even to them: Precia came to have an ego no different from that of a human.

The magicians of Atlantica, who had previously created artificial spirits with high intelligence, only called the birth of Precia a miracle.

Until now, no matter how elaborate an artificial spirit was made, having it possess intelligence above a certain level was accepted as a limitation.

Doing more than that meant creating a soul, and that was treated as something close to a miracle, that is, the realm of God.

But funny enough, they succeeded at it. They created miracles with their highly advanced magical engineering.

Presia had a self, a soul.

    But who would have known?

That it would be the beginning of Atlantica’s destruction.

Transcendent artificial spirits and giant spirits encouraged human greed.

If you just get that, you can get the world. Such primitive emotions fascinated humans.

As a result, Atlantica was on the path to destruction due to internal divisions. After a brutal fight, they were forced to leave the dark side of history.

Atlantica was destroyed, and the survivors struggled to find Colossus and Precia. What was ruined was the great empire called Atlantica, not humanity.

But no one could find Colossus and Presia. As if it was a power not granted to them, they disappeared without leaving any clues.

As time passed, many countries were created, and at the moment when a page of Atlanticaca history was decorated, Colossus and Precia appeared in the world again.

Later, the Conqueror, the greatest conqueror.

Or by Therodamas, who was called the Lion King.

Gilbert finally felt that all the puzzle pieces fit together.

The reason Ian has become quiet these days and the reason he was able to build up the skills to easily join the student council were all thanks to discovering Presia.

As it was created at a time when magic engineering was in its most brilliant bloom, Precia boasted tremendous performance to the point where it was even called a super-artificial spirit among users.

In addition to perfectly controlling Colossus, Tactical Combat’s tier 0 colossus, it also provided hidden pieces and growth quests from the Atlantica era to help users grow.

Among them, the reason why users were so enthusiastic about Precia was that, unlike ordinary artificial spirits, it boasted a high AI that was no different from ordinary NPC characters. Ordinary artificial spirits, no matter how excellent their performance, could not escape machine-like reactions, but Precia was an exception.

From everyday conversation to advice on battle, Presia was the perfect artificial spirit capable of it all.

In particular, Precia gained cult popularity among users because it was made in the female form. So much so that a new word was created in the community: ‘Jeongryeongbak’.

Presia’s unique high pride and personality that becomes infinitely softer as long as it is the owner who signed the contract really hit the taste of users.

Gilbert also took the route of obtaining Precia quite often. Since clearing the achievements themselves was quite difficult, there were many achievements that were cleared with the help of Presia.

At that time, Gilbert also often joked with Precia. Most of them bickered rather than being friendly, but the sum was comparable to CT777.

Should I say that we provide combat support at the right time?

It was an artificial spirit, like a dutiful child, that scratched the itch.

Of course, I got upset after saying that and had a hard time.

Gilbert chuckled and came out of his thoughts.

More than that, how did he get it?

Gilbert’s worries increased one more time. The problem was how on earth Ian got Presia.

It was true that Precia was definitely the best artificial spirit, but the process of obtaining it was quite difficult.

In order to obtain Presia, you had to clear numerous linked scenarios, which was similar to when Gilbert obtained Lionheart, the mana heart of the Lion King. As for the difficulty itself, the scenario to obtain Presia was much more difficult, but the complexity of the scenario that had to be cleared was there.

Of course, if you become a stagnant person, you know the location of Precia, so if you have the skills, it is possible to get Precia early on.

First of all, Precia could only be obtained by entering the hidden passage of Demeia Academy, and there was a puzzle that had to be solved to enter there.

First, you must own the sword said to have been used by the Lion King.

This sword came down as an heirloom from Ian’s family, the Linebarrel family, so it was easy to obtain if it was recognized by the family head.

If you entered the passage with the sword in your possession, you had to go through various gimmicks and clear several ordeals to arrive at the space where Presia was sleeping.

To be honest, the gimmicks made it impossible to pass unless you had a certain level of ability, but when did the old people care about that??

Since you could just go in and get it as if you were going for a walk, it wasn’t a stretch to acquire Precia in the beginning.

In Gilbert’s case, since he was not possessed by Ian, he had given up on Precia in the first place. Stealing the sword, an heirloom from the Linebarrel family, would have been too great a risk, and since he was thinking of CT-777 as Precia’s replacement, he was thinking of handing Precia over to Ian.

Of course, the moment I found out that he was going to go the 2nd grade route, I threw that plan in the trash.

So I was thinking that I would never see Precia in the future, but what kind of trick did Ian use to get Presia?

Objectively, it was impossible for him to pass the gateway to Presia with his skills. This would have been absolutely impossible unless he possessed the same abilities as Gilbert.

Gilbert, who was pondering this or that, looked crookedly at Ian, who was secretly laughing.

Isn’t a pearl necklace on a pig’s neck the equivalent of this?

Still, now that you have Presia’s assistance, it will be more helpful in clearing the main scenario than before. That’s also the story when Ian followed Gilbert well.

Gilbert couldn’t help but feel that it was a bit of a waste. If it were before the contract, he could have used it with CT-777 to maximize synergy.

    Oh wait. After the contract?

    Gilbert’s eyes widened.

One thing I didn’t consider until now because I thought it was a joke.

    Your body is awesome.

Gilbert unconsciously recalled his characteristic skills.

I thought that perhaps Ian’s acquisition of Precia and signing a contract might be of greater help to him.

    ***

After Professor Alexander’s lecture, Gilbert began to think seriously.

His characteristic skill, “You’re so cool,” was a skill that allowed him to rob an artificial spirit that someone had signed a formal contract with, and it was a concept-specific characteristic skill that was only truly effective in doing so.

The effect was similar to Ian’s characteristic skill, but the performance was even better.

Beyond feeling a sense of unity, there was a sense of liberation as if I had become a giant monster itself.

Because it was a skill created for concept purposes, the penalty for use was too strong, but the effect was clear. I wanted to keep using it if I could.

However, it was not easy to find the artificial spirit with which the contract was made, and after obtaining CT-777, it was half-sealed because the assistance alone was enough to make up for the characteristic skills.

However, if the artificial spirit was Precia, it was well worth the challenge. I had no idea how much synergy would be created if Precia and the still-growing CT-777 were used at the same time.

Ian may be walking around wearing something like that because he knows its value, but opportunity comes at any time. In fact, wasn’t there a record of Ian stealing and using the artificial spirit he had signed a provisional contract with during the main scenario?

Of course, such an opportunity would not come easily, but if I could get it even just for a moment, it was worth it.

His one worry was that the proud Precia would reject him. Because the level of concentrated technology was so high, Precia might also resist his characteristic technology.

I was vaguely thinking that it would be possible to do something if it was a characteristic skill that was assisted by the system, but it was well worth the challenge.

    I found out something good.

    Gilbert somehow felt better.

    “Gilbert! I’m here!”

Maybe I should take back that statement.

Gilbert’s face hardened slightly as he saw Camilla waving her hand with an infinitely bright smile.

Fortunately, Brynhild went to the training room, so I didn’t have to see the two fighting.

“What are you thinking that you don’t even look at me even if I call you for a long time?”

    “Um…”

“Oh! Let me guess. hmm… . Gilbert was thinking of me, right?”

How did you get it right?

When I saw him crossing his arms triumphantly, I got a headache that I never had before.

I felt comforted by that sight, but on the other hand, I also got headaches, so they literally gave me medicine and a bottle.

    “That can’t be possible.”

“Shy is the head of Gilbert! As a close friend, I understand everything.”

    “So what’s going on today?”

“Ah! right. Look at my mind. Gilbert, did you do something fun without me knowing?”

    Something fun?

All he did today was to be lectured calmly.

I was trying to be a little more self-respecting because I recently did an extraordinary thing called cutting down 100 people, but what happened?

It was a first for him too.

    “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Huh? That’s strange. The next successor to Summer Window has created a stage and is waiting for Gilbert?”

Seeing Camilla’s tilted gaze, Gilbert realized that something unusual had happened.

    “Where is it?”

    “Just follow me!”

Ethel, what has this little boy done again this time?

Gilbert ran after Camilla, who was running ahead of him, and sighed deeply.
