Temporary Professor (5)

1.
“Haaa…”
I let out a deep sigh.
“It never ends…”
With eyes heavy with fatigue, I looked up at the piles of documents.
Three towers of documents, piled so high they almost touched the ceiling.
“The Magic Tower must be shorter than this.”
I muttered nonsense and took a moment to catch my breath.
I looked out the window.
I sat down when the sun was rising, and now it was setting.
“It’s karma, karma.”
I rested my chin on the desk, my breasts, which ached just from being still, pressing against it.
I didn’t expect the academy students to be so eager to learn.
From freshman to senior year.
Over 500 people had signed up for my class.
I had to select 30 from among them.
This was because of what happened a few days ago.
The result of toying with an academy professor in front of the third-year students.
That day, my story spread throughout the entire academy.
The Saintess who defeated a professor with a broken sword.
It was an event that satisfied the curiosity of the students who were already wondering about the truth of my rumors.
When it became known that the rumors that had stirred up the academy were true, the students of the Swordsmanship department applied for my class without exception.
And so, we arrive at the present.
It wasn’t first-come, first-served.
Nor could I just pick them out randomly.
If I was going to teach, I wanted to teach someone worthwhile.
Not someone blinded by ambition.
My goal was to fill the class with those who wanted to plunge a sword into the Demon King’s heart.
I wasn’t donating my talent to help young kids make money.
So, I was reading each one carefully.
So far, 10 people had been selected.
The rest were rejected because they showed materialistic tendencies.
“I can’t pick them based on grades either.”
They would probably complain later about the selection criteria.
I was judging them subjectively.
So, I couldn’t set and divide accurate selection criteria.
“Ugh!”
I shouted and jumped up from my seat.
Looking at only white documents was making me feel like I was going crazy.
I needed to get some fresh air.
I jumped out the window.
Now I could go out the main gate proudly without worrying about what others thought, but this had become more convenient.
And if I went out the main gate, everyone I met would talk to me, and the guards would follow me.
How annoying.
I went straight to the clearing in the Forest of Beasts.
2.
Yohan was diligently swinging his sword again today.
Elia had decided to take a week off from training because she was busy reviewing documents.
Nevertheless, he consistently came to the clearing in the Forest of Beasts and trained alone.
He was in the middle of slashing his sword through the air when.
Rustle.
He sensed someone’s presence.
As he gradually gained control over his Magical power, his senses became sharper.
Yohan glanced at the place where the bushes were shaking.
A girl was standing next to a tree.
The girl was watching him with a pleased smile.
Conscious of her gaze, Yohan moved with even more exaggerated gestures.
“You’re putting too much strength in your wrist.”
“Oh? You’re here?”
Yohan reacted as if he had just noticed Elia’s arrival.
Elia chuckled at the sight.
Such a cute guy.
Elia knew that Yohan had noticed she was watching him.
How could he be so similar?
It reminded her of when the Hero, Louis, was young.
He used to do that to get on his teacher’s good side and receive praise.
“Were you training alone?”
“I can’t be both incompetent and lazy.”
“You know yourself well. I was thinking of grabbing you and throwing you into the Forest of Beasts if you weren’t training, but it’s a shame.”
Elia laughed softly.
Yohan felt a chill because that sounded like she meant it.
“Is the document review going well?”
At that question, Elia sighed deeply.
“…Don’t even mention it.”
Her head spun at the thought of the hundreds of applications that were still waiting for her.
“There are many applicants, but not many talented people I like, so I’ve only managed to fill 10 spots.”
“There are still 20 spots left.”
Yohan glanced at Elia subtly.
“Why? Are you curious if you’re among the 10?”
Yohan waved his arms.
“The list will come out if I wait, so I’ll wait until then.”
“You’re not saying you’re not curious?”
“Ahem.”
Yohan cleared his throat.
It was obvious, but he really wanted to take Elia’s class.
“Shall I tell you if Yohan Hyung is among the 10?”
Yohan’s eyes sparkled.
He didn’t answer but looked at Elia with sparkling eyes.
Anyone could tell he was asking her to tell him.
“Since you’re not answering, I guess you’re not that curious.”
“No, that’s not it! I’m curious!”
“I like that you’re honest. Then I’ll tell only Yohan Hyung specially.”
Elia tied her hair back with the hair tie on her wrist.
“If you can knock me down, I’ll tell you.”
She made fists with both hands and lightly bounced in place.
Her ample breasts bounced as well.
Yohan was momentarily distracted by the imposing movement.
“Aren’t you saying you won’t tell me?”
“I said I’ll tell you if you knock me down.”
“That’s the same thing.”
“Don’t grumble and come at me. I’ll also see how much you’ve grown in the meantime.”
Yohan put down the sword he was holding and made fists.
“Are you going to be serious?”
“Yes, yes, be serious.”
“Don’t be surprised if I hit you once.”
“I know, so come at me. You could have exchanged three blows in the time you’ve been talking.”
Yohan took a deep breath and extended his fist toward Elia.
He strengthened his body with Magical power.
He fixed his feet firmly on the ground and twisted his waist.
The straight punch rushed toward Elia’s face at a rapid speed.
Elia lowered her upper and lower body and dodged the punch smoothly. Then she grabbed Yohan’s wrist.
“Ugh?”
She grabbed Yohan’s arm, put it over her shoulder, and performed a shoulder throw.
The world turned upside down.
He felt a floating sensation and then fell in an instant.
As the world returned to normal, Yohan collided with the ground with his back.
“Ugh!”
“Tsk tsk, I thought you were training hard, but were you not?”
Yohan staggered and stood up again.
“This is just the beginning.”
“Oh, was that just a warm-up?”
“Don’t be really surprised.”
“Please surprise me.”
With a loud shout, Yohan rushed at Elia.
3.
“Cough!”
Yohan was panting heavily.
He was lying on the ground, tattered and battered.
Was there a need to explain the results of the sparring in detail?
Yohan’s fists didn’t reach Elia at all.
“You’ve grown. Your last attack was close.”
Elia, who was sitting on Yohan’s stomach like a cushion, had a refreshed expression, as if she had just taken a bath in warm water.
Normally, sparring would make her more tired, but for Elia, who was tired from stress, sparring was a good stress reliever.
That was also true.
She was also happy because she could really see Yohan’s growth.
In the past, he wouldn’t have been able to dodge any of Elia’s attacks and would have been hit head-on, but now he could dodge some of them.
Nothing makes a teacher happier than the growth of their student.
“There are still some shortcomings, but you’ve also gained control over your Magical power. I’m impressed.”
Elia ruffled Yohan’s hair as if to wipe away the sweat.
It might be unpleasant for someone to touch your hair.
Yohan obediently closed his eyes and felt Elia’s touch.
“Alright.”
After ruffling his hair for a while, Elia stood up from her seat, supporting herself with her hands on her knees.
Her soft butt, which had been pressing down on his stomach, moved away.
Yohan felt a little disappointed.
“The list of successful applicants will be announced within a week. You can check then whether Hyung is on the list or not.”
Still, she thought he would definitely be on it. Because they had a connection.
“For reference, I’m going to select people fairly. If there’s someone more talented than Yohan Hyung, I’ll pick that person.”
As if reading Yohan’s thoughts, she immediately cut off his complacent thoughts.
“Then I’ll definitely be chosen.”
“Why?”
Yohan raised his chin and answered confidently.
“Because I’m going to be the most outstanding swordsman.”
Elia chuckled.
It wasn’t an unpleasant answer.
This wasn’t arrogance but confidence.
A young person’s confident appearance was appealing to an old person.
It was then.
Yohan hugged Elia tightly around the waist, lifted her light body, and knocked her to the ground.
She was surprised by the unexpected attack, but as she fell, she twisted her body and wrapped her arms around Yohan’s neck.
Yohan immediately tapped Elia’s arm as if declaring surrender.
She released him immediately.
“What was that all of a sudden?”
Yohan coughed and grinned.
“I knocked you down.”
“Huh?”
“You said you’d tell me if I knocked you down. You never said when the sparring was over, and you never said how long I had to knock you down. So, all I had to do was knock you down somehow, right?”
Elia burst out laughing at Yohan’s audacity.
It was absurd, but he wasn’t wrong.
“Not bad.”
Elia nodded her head.
“A promise is a promise, so I have to tell you.”
Yohan perked up his ears.
“I picked you first. Happy?”
Elia chuckled and returned to the dormitory.
He wanted to cheer.
He felt like he had received high praise.
So, Yohan couldn’t help but cheer.
4.
A week later.
The list of successful applicants was posted on the bulletin board of the Swordsmanship department building.
30 students.
The number of people who would receive instruction from the Sword Saint had been determined.
