    Branch Point from Chapter 176.

    IF Side Story.

    Her End.

    “I’m bored.”

    Suddenly, Regina opened her eyes.

Her vision was filled with the Red Fox Mask.

A mask that was familiar, if not comforting.

A mask she had grown accustomed to, whether she liked it or not.

The girl wearing the mask let out a mischievous laugh.

    Her blurred consciousness gradually surfaced.

Her sluggish thoughts quickly regained their original function.

    Regina’s memories flashed back.

The situation before she lost consciousness came vividly to mind.

    ‘Ah…’

    Regina sighed involuntarily.

Yes, she remembered. She had tried to escape. She had tried to flee with Lucia, who was being tortured, to break free from Astaroth’s grasp.

For some reason, the mask’s control had weakened, and this was her only chance.

She had planned to destroy the mask, sever her connection with Astaroth.

And then, with Lucia, seek out the Celestial Corps.

She would honestly reveal all the information she had gathered about the Devils.

And request protection from the Celestial Corps.

Whether the Celestial Corps could stop the Devil was uncertain, but at least they weren’t completely powerless.

Astaroth had even complained that dealing with captains was troublesome.

Yes, the God of War, hailed as humanity’s strongest, might be able to defeat the Devil. He might be able to stop the devil, Astaroth.

Regina had placed a small hope in this uncertain future.

    And that hope.

    Before it could even shine.

    Was shattered mercilessly.

    ‘I failed.’

The escape hadn’t even begun before it was thwarted.

Regina was still in Astaroth’s grasp.

Looking back, she had acted too hastily.

Astaroth wouldn’t have handed over the mask without some trick.

The mental fatigue had piled up during the process of ‘dismantling’ Lucia.

The rising nausea and guilt had numbed her reason and clouded her judgment.

    This was the result.

She had lost her last chance to escape from Astaroth.

And any means to save Lucia.

“You know, Regina, I really thought of you as a friend. Really? No jokes or lies.”

Astaroth brought her left hand to her face.

She slowly removed the Red Fox Mask.

Her eyes, beautiful like a clear lake.

But as sinister as a red moon, curved gently.

“But while I was away for just a moment, you tried to leave me. Betrayal, betrayal. I’m really hurt~”

    “Sorry.”

    Regina apologized casually.

Strangely, she didn’t feel any sense of danger.

Even though she knew this wouldn’t end well.

It was as if ‘fear’ had been excluded from her heart, leaving her oddly calm.

The creeping despair couldn’t reach her head.

Her heart was pounding as if it might burst at any moment.

Her chest ached with fear, despair, frustration, and terror.

Yet her mind was cold and detached. No different from usual. No, even more composed.

“An apology won’t be enough, will it~?”

    Astaroth glared at Regina.

A chilling sensation ran down her spine.

    Astaroth’s hand touched Regina’s forehead.

    Gently, as if caressing.

From her forehead to her cheek.

From her cheek to her chin.

From her chin to her chest.

    “I considered Regina a friend.”

    “Yeah, you said that.”

“But Regina didn’t consider me a friend, did she?”

“Yeah, I only thought of it as a ‘friendship game’.”

The truth she had hidden for so long spilled out without any filter.

Finally, Regina realized. The mask’s control had been restored.

No, it had become even stronger than before. Just like with the other mask slaves.

This fact conveyed only one thing.

Astaroth no longer considered Regina a ‘friend’.

    “A friendship game…”

Astaroth, who had been mulling over those words, soon smiled and said.

“Yeah, I’m bored with the game. Let’s end it.”

“What will you do with me?”

Regina asked. She couldn’t escape the mask’s control; in fact, it had become even stronger.

Now, she had only one option left. To wait for Astaroth’s judgment.

“I told you before, have you forgotten? What did I say I’d do when I got tired of a ‘friend’?”

“You said you’d cut off my limbs and keep me as a pet.”

    “Right.”

    Astaroth gently patted Regina’s head.

She twirled a strand of purple hair around her finger and smiled.

Every time their eyes met, Regina felt her mind grow slightly hazy.

Her breathing became slightly uneven. The Red Fox Mask glowed faintly.

The loud thumping of her heart gradually faded.

    Creak.

    Creak. Creak. Creak

The sound of metal grinding echoed in her head.

    Thud.

    Thud. Thud. Thud.

    The sound of flesh colliding.

Ah, Regina exhaled a hot breath. It was a sensation she hadn’t felt in a long time. It was the same feeling when she was first consumed by the mask.

    Thoughts, concepts, reasoning.

Everything began to tangle and break down.

Even common sense was being distorted.

The mask’s power was turning her mind into chaos.

She realized this, but Regina couldn’t express any sense of danger.

    She didn’t feel any danger.

Just a vague flow of emotion lingered in her chest before fading away.

    “Then, Regina.”

    Astaroth pulled out something.

Something stained with dried, dark red blood.

Regina immediately recognized what it was.

The saw blade she had used to cut open Lucia’s stomach.

That saw blade was now approaching her.

“Should I start with your right arm, or your left?”

Only then did Regina look around. A familiar environment. Too familiar, which was why she had overlooked it.

    The torture chamber.

The operating table Lucia was lying on—no, tied to. She was now in the place where Lucia had been.

Are you going to cut off my arm with that?

I’m not like Lucia; if you cut it off, it won’t grow back.

I’ll have to live with one arm forever.

No. Astaroth isn’t just going to cut off my arms.

She said she’d cut off all my limbs.

Only my torso and head will remain.

Regina stared blankly at the saw blade, then spat out.

    “Just kill me.”

    “Ahaha.”

Astaroth laughed as if delighted. The saw blade slowly approached. The cold metal touched Regina’s right arm.

A supernatural’s body wouldn’t be harmed by ordinary blades. Unless they harmed themselves.

But the saw blade in Astaroth’s hand wasn’t ordinary. Even if it were, it became special the moment she held it.

“Come on, make a V-sign. You won’t be able to do it after this~”

At her words, Regina slowly moved her fingers. She folded all but her index and middle fingers to make a V-sign.

    Thud.

    “Ah.”

The saw blade dug into her arm.

Flesh was torn apart, and skin was ripped.

Blood oozed out from the wound.

    It hurts. It really hurts.

Regina felt her vision turn yellow.

She slightly opened her mouth and reflexively used her supernatural ability.

    Drugs.

The saliva in her mouth turned into drugs. She swallowed, and the pain lessened. The unbearable pain was reduced to a level where tears welled up.

“Lucia endured this, but Regina can’t even handle this much~?”

Astaroth laughed as she moved the saw blade.

    Scrape. Scrape. Scrape.

The sharp blade easily carved through Regina’s arm as if it were cake.

    Splurt!

Blood spurted out like a fountain, likely from a severed artery. It was a scene she had seen many times before. The sight she had witnessed every time Lucia’s limbs were cut off. The only problem was that this time, all that blood was her own.

Her arm was mangled. It began to twist at an unnatural angle.

Regina watched it all with a clear mind.

No words came out. No screams. It was as if everything happening was someone else’s business.

She stared as the saw blade tore through her flesh.

    “Ah, the bone.”

    Astaroth muttered softly.

With a grunt, she applied more force, and the bone snapped instantly.

The saw blade, having crushed the last bit of resistance, exited Regina’s body.

    Thud.

Her right arm fell to the ground.

A part of her body that had been with her for her entire life was now detached.

The severed right hand was still making a V-sign.

Looking at it, Regina twitched her lips.

    “I’m right-handed…”

“What are you talking about, Regina?”

Astaroth picked up the bleeding right arm.

She brought Regina’s right hand to her own face.

    She smiled, making a V-sign.

As if she was the one making the gesture.

“Regina’s a dog, right? Dogs don’t have hands.”

The saw blade moved to the left arm.

    Again, Regina just stared blankly.

She couldn’t resist, tied to the operating table as she was.

The mask had fixed her thoughts.

    She couldn’t refuse Astaroth’s actions.

If Astaroth told her to laugh, she would laugh. If told to cry, she would cry.

If told to bark, she would bark. If told to die, she would die.

The flowing blood was Regina’s last act of will.

As the blood drained, her mind became hazy like a dream, and her sense of crisis faded.

Despite the hopeless situation, Regina felt no sense of danger.

It hurts. The drugs couldn’t completely neutralize the pain.

So, Lucia endured this pain all along.

Without the help of drugs, just in her right mind.

    Scrape.

The saw blade tore through her left arm.

    Flesh, muscle, tendons, and bones.

One by one, the elements connected to her body were severed.

    “Hmm~”

    Astaroth hummed a tune.

She pushed and pulled the saw blade as if she was exercising.

    Each time, blood spurted out.

The operating table was stained with hot blood.

“Hmm, did I use it too much? Well, I’ve used this saw blade every time I dismantled Lucia. It’s lost its edge.”

Muttering that it wasn’t cutting as well as she thought, Astaroth grabbed Regina’s dangling left arm. She twisted it with force.

    Crack.

The half-severed bone broke without resistance, and chunks of flesh fell off. The left arm was torn away.

    “Ah.”

So, this is how much blood I have in my body.

It’s excessive bleeding. If this continues, I’ll die.

Regina closed her lips. It was her last act of resistance in her lost freedom.

Let me die. I want to die. Let me die while I can still think, “I want to die”.

My arm’s been cut off, but I feel no sense of danger. No fear. This is strange. It’s strange.

Let me die while I’m still “me”. Kill me. Please kill me. I don’t want this. Please.

“Regina’s legs are so soft. Smooth. Should I preserve them?”

    Astaroth said, tapping Regina’s thigh.

Instead of the saw blade, she fiddled with a hacksaw this time.

A tool used to cut metal. It would have no trouble with a human leg.

    Scrape.

    Scrape. Scrape.

    Scrape. Scrape. Scrape.

Her leg was being cut. She couldn’t see it lying down, but she could feel it.

Regina lifted her mangled arm. The arm that had been freed from restraint because it was severed.

She let out a hollow laugh. The bleeding had already stopped.

No wonder it felt hot. She must have cauterized it while cutting. To stop the bleeding.

Her last hope was gone. Regina laughed. At first, it was a small laugh, but soon her shoulders shook as she burst into laughter.

    “Ahaha, haha, ahahahaha!”

“Regina’s enjoying herself too? Yeah, this is rewarding.”

What are you shaking? That’s my leg. When did you cut it off?

I may look lazy, but I worked hard to keep in shape. I was proud of my legs. Seeing them like this now, they look a bit grotesque.

Regina stared at the chunk of meat that was once hers. She tried to move her limbs. They weren’t there.

Below the arm. Below the knee.

    ‘…It’s over, me.’

Now, I can’t do anything on my own.

    I can’t eat, I can’t change clothes.

I can’t go to the bathroom, I can’t wash myself.

    Really, nothing.

‘…I’ve really become less than human.’

Sometimes, a single choice leads to irreversible consequences.

Regina’s choice led her to her ‘death’.

The “human” Regina met her end at this moment.

“Take care of yourself from now on, our cute little doggy.”

    When did she get it?

Astaroth put a red collar around Regina’s neck.

It wasn’t something meant for humans, but Regina couldn’t take it off even if she wanted to.

She had no hands to do so.

    “Want to try barking?”

    Astaroth said.

Regina looked at her with hazy eyes.

    “Woof.”

She answered in a small voice.

A two-story house located on the outskirts, far from the city center.

    The door creaked open.

    Click, the lights turned on.

    Curtains covering the windows.

    The dark interior brightened.

The girl in the Red Fox Mask entered the room.

She glanced around the room and let out a deep sigh.

“Regina, what time do you think it is? Still sleeping?”

Her footsteps headed to the corner of the room.

There, a large doghouse, the kind meant for big dogs, was placed.

A doghouse with a fresh design and a blue roof.

A face peeked out from the entrance.

Purple hair fell over her face.

Astaroth knelt down with a soft laugh.

She brushed the hair away from Regina’s face and smiled.

“The sun’s already high. Come on, time to eat.”

Dog food poured into the bowl.

It wasn’t food meant for humans, but it didn’t matter.

    Regina wasn’t human anymore.

    “…Woof.”

Regina let out a small bark.

    She didn’t speak human words.

    Dogs don’t use language.

Regina buried her face in the dog food bowl.

    She nibbled at the kibble.

At first, eating without using her hands was uncomfortable, but lately, she had gotten used to it.

The collar around her neck bothered her every time she chewed the hard kibble, but even that had become familiar.

The food she once found unpalatable was now tolerable. Everything had become familiar.

    Astaroth crouched down, smiling brightly.

She watched quietly as Regina finished her meal.

The bowl, once filled with kibble, gradually emptied until it was completely clean.

“Good, you ate well. You don’t leave any leftovers now.”

Because that and water were all she had to eat.

Regina wanted to answer that, but dogs weren’t supposed to speak.

So, she decided to answer like a dog.

    “Woof.”

“Yes, yes, good girl, good girl~”

Astaroth scratched Regina’s chin and vigorously petted her head.

Her purple hair became tangled. After petting her for a while, Astaroth tugged on Regina’s collar.

Guided by that hand, Regina crawled out of the doghouse. She followed Astaroth, dragging her mangled legs.

Her naked body, without a single thread of clothing, was fully exposed.

As they left the room, the first thing that caught her eye was the taxidermy on the wall.

Preserved arms and legs. Whose were they? Regina decided not to think about it. Dogs don’t think complicated thoughts.

Leading Regina into the living room, Astaroth sat down on the leather sofa.

She placed Regina on her lap and began petting her head again, just like before.

Regina accepted the affectionate touch without resistance. Dogs couldn’t defy their owners.

She buried her head in Astaroth’s lap and quietly caught her breath. The living room was warm.

Even without clothes, she didn’t feel cold. But Regina shivered slightly.

Since becoming a dog, she has had a daily routine. Wake up, eat, and then play with her owner.

The games varied, but there was one thing that was never skipped.

    Astaroth’s hand gripped Regina’s waist.

She spun her around, causing her chest to sway.

Not large, but not small either—perky breasts.

    Astaroth tapped Regina’s nipples.

    “Ah…”

Past experiences triggered a conditioned reflex.

Regina’s lower abdomen ached, and she rubbed her remaining thigh against it.

“Hmm, really. There’s no owner as kind as me. Taking care of my pet’s sexual desires myself, aren’t I too good~?”

Regina, who couldn’t do anything on her own.

Naturally, she couldn’t relieve her pent-up desires.

Ever since Astaroth found her writhing on the floor alone.

She had been personally taking care of Regina’s needs every day.

Whether it was truly for Regina’s sake.

Or to watch her squirm in humiliation.

    Only Astaroth herself would know.

    “Ah, ah. Yes, haa…”

Astaroth pinched the pink nipples with her fingers and slowly rubbed them.

Just that was enough to make Regina’s sensitive body react.

Her thighs, pressed together, were already damp, and her body trembled.

“Ah, but I can’t keep doing this forever…”

Naturally, her fingers slipped between Regina’s thighs.

They penetrated the soft flesh without resistance.

Stimulating the tender pink flesh with her fingertips, Astaroth said.

“Soon, I’ll find you a mate, so for now, be satisfied with my fingers.”

    A mate…

Of course, that mate wouldn’t be a human.

Regina was a dog, and a dog’s mate could only be another dog.

    ‘I’m getting married. Ahaha.’

Regina laughed self-deprecatingly and surrendered to her owner’s touch.

Lewd moans like “Ah, ah, haa” escaped her lips.

    They weren’t particularly pretty moans.

But Astaroth seemed to like them very much.

She smiled happily and continued her affectionate play with her pet.

Until she grew bored of it, she would continue.

    Author Note

    A/N (Author’s note):
    No dirty stuff!

    It’s the death penalty!

Originally, there was supposed to be more for the story.

    There was quite a bit.

But, I omitted it because I didn’t want to be executed.

Heh, I’ll just imagine it! I won’t show it!

Yes, in fact, it was only in my head and I didn’t write it.

In fact, I almost forced myself to write the latter half.

The part where Regina is tortured was easy to write,

but I just couldn’t write more after that.

I tried to write more until I couldn’t and ended it there.

As expected, I’m not fit for writing R-19 stories. I planned for a longer side story but it ended after almost the first half…

But thinking back, I think I crossed the line too much…

Honestly, It’s a bit too much to do with a dog, right? The insemination crossed the line a lot. Yeah, that’s right. Even though it’s an IF side story, it shouldn’t be like that.

    As expected, no dirty stuff.

The wholesome author inside me yells at you!

    Translator Note

    T/N (Translator’s note):
A far cry from the previous one, though still deserves a warning nonetheless.

I’m sure some noob readers enjoy Regina’s suffering though, I know because I asked them beforehand.

Perverted sadists~ How sloppy~♡ (You know who you are.)
