Ch. 102 Haha-hoho Kya-kya
by AfuhfuihgsChapter 102: Haha-hoho Kya-kya
‘Ian… that is…’
Physical examination. She’s not sure how it’s conducted at this school.
Regardless, she can imagine it being quite challenging for a girl disguised as a boy.
‘…It’s okay. I’ve thought about it.’
When Sugar glanced at Ian with concern, Ian responded with a worried smile.
And then, the next day arrived.
Although the physical examination was sudden, no students seemed to complain since classes were canceled for the day. Even students at prestigious schools want to have fun.
“It’s just one less day of vacation. Tsk.”
“People naturally gravitate toward immediate happiness…”
Riley and Sugar sat on a bench, exchanging words while skimming through the notice. It contained instructions on how the physical examination would be conducted.
First, the order would start with the third-years, and the first-years would go last.
Males and females would be examined separately.
Since magic would be used for the examination, no special preparation was needed.
However, upper-body clothing would need to be removed.
“We’re doomed.”
“We’re doomed.”
They didn’t specify the subject, but they both knew what the other meant.
“Removing our tops? This is…”
While Sugar was worried about Ian, she glanced at Riley’s chest.
Hmm. Hmm-hmm. Hehe. Hmm.
“Pervert.”
“You were checking me out too…”
Sugar subtly adjusted her modest chest. She allowed visual inspection, so even if he grumbled, it didn’t matter.
Riley ignored her and continued reading the notice.
“Hey. So what’s going to happen with Ian?”
“Isn’t that what you should know?”
“You’re the one who should know. I heard she’s not going with the guys.”
“What?”
No. If she’s not going with the guys, where else would she go?
‘It’s not like she’s going to reveal her gender in front of the entire school as a surprise…’
Amidst the doubt and slight fear, the two headed to their respective buildings.
Steele has two infirmaries, located in the north wing of the main building and the east wing. There might be more, but at least those are the ones in active use.
Males would use the north wing of the main building, and females would use the east wing.
‘I haven’t been to the east wing much.’
As Sugar walked toward the building, she saw a long line of female students in the hallway. Judging by the badges on their cloaks, they were second-years. It didn’t seem to be the first-years’ turn yet.
“Oh…”
As she looked at the second-years, a gasp escaped her. She recognized someone.
The second target of Sugar’s past slander before her reincarnation.
Flaming red hair. Sharp eyes that hinted at a fiery temper. Delicately pursed lips. Slightly taller than Sugar.
And a vast, prairie-like chest…
‘…What?’
What is this…? This can’t be.
This shouldn’t be happening.
‘There’s… curvature…?’
Judging by her appearance, she’s a classic red-haired female student.
Sugar’s main slander was a common joke aimed at flat-chested characters. You know, “She’s actually a guy,” “She’s a washboard,” that kind of thing.
After staring for a while, their eyes met.
When Sugar gave a sheepish smile, the red-haired girl, Asta, looked at her with a “What’s with her?” expression.
Originally, she was the type of character who would feel curiosity and inferiority toward Leon, picking fights with him. But here, maybe she’s not interested in Leon, who’s been behaving quietly. They’re also in different grades, so they haven’t crossed paths much.
Anyway. It wouldn’t hurt to get closer. Thinking about it, Sugar hasn’t made any same-sex friends since coming to Steele.
She’s always hanging out with guys—including cross-dressing girls—and the presence of that cross-dressing girl is too overwhelming; the four of them are called “The Emperor and His Entourage.”
At the start of the semester it was different but now there’s a wall and students don’t approach them. They respond well if you talk to them first, but they don’t initiate conversations themselves.
So, Sugar winked. Let’s meet again later, let’s get along. That’s what she meant.
What she got in return was cold indifference. Ah, how sad.
‘I wanted to enjoy a haha-hoho Kya-Kya! life with the girls too…’
Sometimes, she wants to be enveloped in a feminine scent and soft air. Of course, being with Riley is the best, but it’s a bit too intense. Sometimes, it’s so thick and sticky that it makes her head spin.
She needs some ventilation.
Back in the Holy City, she used to enjoy time with Ian. The fresh floral scent from Ian. The warmth you can feel from a girl. Just looking at her is satisfying, that massive…
Massive…
Massive…
“Huh?”
Sugar was walking down a quiet hallway, reminiscing about her days in the Holy City. The hallway naturally became quieter as she approached the end of the line.
There, she encountered a familiar silhouette.
A female student with her hood pulled over her cloak. Just the glimpse of her lower face was enough to tell she was beautiful.
Her hair was tied back, so her hair color wasn’t visible. But that didn’t matter. What caught Sugar’s eye was the chest that seemed ready to burst out of her shirt.
Sugar blankly approached the girl.
“…Lord Ianne?”
“You should drop the Lord.’”
Ah, that dewy voice. She usually speaks in a low tone but when they’re alone in bed or the bath, she uses her natural voice. It’s a thin, slightly more mature-sounding voice than Sugar’s.
Sugar threw herself at her.
Calling Ian by her real name, she buried her face in her chest. The mystery of the Holy City that needed to be unraveled.
A treasure.
A sacred relic.
The unsealed original form was so satisfying. Mmm. Floral scent.
“W-what on earth is going on?”
“Let’s move somewhere else first.”
Sugar and Ian headed to a secluded spot outside the building.
“Actually, when I enrolled at Steele, there were several contracts exchanged. One of them was to hire a few people from the Holy City to work at Steele.”
“So… there are people other than us who know the truth?”
“Yes. One of them works in the infirmary, so I decided to get examined by them. They happen to work in the east wing infirmary. I’ll be examined with the girls.”
Even so, she couldn’t undress among the boys… She said with a bitter smile.
Apparently, it was in case Ian got seriously injured. If they had to remove her clothes for emergency treatment. It seemed like a precaution for that.
“I was worried about the magic pattern, but as long as it’s not obvious… it seems to be okay. They must have used some method.”
“That’s a relief.”
Sugar nodded, her face still buried in Ian’s chest.
“Sugar… even so, you shouldn’t just bury your face like that…”
“I missed you. It’s so comforting. But, something… something feels different. You know, I have to ask…”
As she rubbed her face against Ian, she tilted her head.
She couldn’t feel the thickness of a bra. It felt like there was a barrier, but it was much thinner.
“Did you… not wear anything underneath…?”
“…”
Holy Saint!
Your descendant is strutting around school braless—
“N-no, I didn’t go completely without! I… I wrapped it lightly with bandages…”
Ian hurriedly covered her chest with both hands.
“It’s… I’m going to bandage it right after the examination anyway, so it’s bothersome to carry underwear around. I didn’t want to risk it being found in my bag… so I went for convenience…”
That girl usually only wears bandages anyway. It made sense.
But why does it feel so indecent?
Normally, the bandages are to press down and hide her chest, but now they’re serving as a substitute for underwear? The fact that a single piece of cloth is replacing underwear is bothering her?
Sugar groaned as she rubbed her chin.
“But, couldn’t you have just covered your face and kept the bandages on? You could’ve changed your pants to a skirt or something… That way, no one would question you being in the girls’ line.”
“I wanted to feel comfortable for a change…”
Well. Lately, she’s been sharing a room, so she’s been wearing them all the time. It must be suffocating.
“And… skirts are a bit embarrassing…”
Having lived her whole life wearing only pants, her perception is skewed.
She tried to make me wear one though. Seriously.
Sugar found it absurd but decided to understand. She thought she should be the one to understand, given how hard Ian’s life has been.
The two decided to stand in separate lines. Even though Ian had her face hidden and her chest exposed, Sugar hadn’t been hanging out with same-sex friends much. It was to avoid unnecessary suspicion.
Not long after, it was Sugar’s turn.
They went in five at a time, removed their clothes, and were examined. There were two female staff members in the infirmary. One waved a wand, scanning each student with magic, while the other visually checked their bodies.
‘This seems more like checking if there’s something wrong with the body rather than a regular physical examination…’
Sugar removed her suspenders and untied her ribbon tie. She unbuttoned her blouse one by one, folded it neatly, and placed it in a corner.
“Alright. Raise your arms.”
One of the staff approached and inspected her upper body, now only in a bra. It was oddly embarrassing.
“When did you hurt your arm? Can I unwrap the bandage?”
“I was told not to unwrap it until it’s fully healed since the flesh was torn out.”
“Oh my! How did you get hurt like that? Let me record this… Hmm…? What’s this on your neck?”
“Ah, that’s, um—”
“Hold your arms down for a moment. Let me take a closer look.”
Sugar swallowed hard. There were faint, uneven marks on her neck. They weren’t noticeable from a distance, but up close, they were obvious.
“What? What’s going on?”
“Ma’am, take a look at these marks.”
“Let me see.”
The other staff member, who had been checking another student with a wand, came over.
“Ah. It’s you. His Holiness’s friend… Your name’s Sugar, right?”
“…Hello.”
This must be the person from the Holy City. She was a middle-aged woman with glasses who looked strict. She felt vaguely familiar.
The staff member examined Sugar’s neck seriously. She looked from the left, then the right. She brought her face close and made a “Hmm” sound, observing intently.
Sugar wanted to die.
Having two women much older than her inspect her hickey was so humiliating she felt like she would explode. Her head was burning, and she wanted to hide somewhere immediately.
“There’s no bite mark… this is… just that. That.”
“It must be that, right? That.”
“Right. That’s it. That.”
The two nodded at each other as they spoke.
“We’re done. Get dressed and wait until the others are finished before leaving.”
“Okay…”
“And, you’re a student. It’s best to behave properly on campus.”
Sugar silently lowered her head and got dressed.
This wasn’t even from school.
***************
Waiting in front of the infirmary, Ian came out. She still had her hood pulled over her face.
The two exchanged subtle glances and then walked separately. When Ian went into the girls’ restroom, Sugar decided to keep watch.
Despite the embarrassing incident, it was a relief that both she and Ian had gotten through the examination safely.
‘But, bite marks…’
As Sugar recalled the conversation in the infirmary, she shook her head at the memory of the marking showcase.
‘When I see the guy who did this, I’m headbutting him on sight.’
‘I can’t be a noble.’
As soon as she thought that, she felt magic. It seemed like the other side had finished their examination and was coming to the east wing. Probably coming to pick Sugar up.
Not long after, Riley and Leon came into view.
‘Hehe. As soon as he gets close, it’s a megaton headbutt.’ Sugar hid her shame and flashed an evil smile.
As she prepared herself, she heard a sharp intake of breath behind her.
‘Ah, that’s right. Ian.’
Riley would be fine, but Leon’s presence must have made her nervous. I should take her to the restroom first.
With that thought, Sugar suddenly turned around.
And she witnessed it.
Ian, for some reason, was so nervous that her steps got tangled.
And as she was about to fall, Leon, startled, rushed over and caught her.
That part was fine, but the problem was that Ian was more nervous than expected.
In her panic, she grabbed onto Leon and hugged him tightly.
Soon, a violent chest assaulted Leon.
