Ch. 39 One Week Until the Regular Meeting
by AfuhfuihgsChapter 39 – One Week Until the Regular Meeting
Approximately one week remains until the Guild Gathering.
So, what should I do until then? I need to prepare for the next season’s update.
Looking at LEORE’s update history, a new season doesn’t immediately release a Raid; instead, the story and quests come first, and the Raid is released in the following update.
LEORE only gives titles to those who rank 1st to 10th in clearing a Raid. I quite like that and want to get one, but I don’t think it’ll be easy in this season’s Raid.
Firstly, I don’t have the current season’s final gear, which makes it even harder. In that situation, it would be unfair to pull Guild Members aiming for the World First Kill over to my side.
For now, I should recruit Guild Members who won’t aim for the World First Kill but will try hard.
Before that, the Raid will be released at least two weeks after the story update, so I should push through all the LEORE stories released so far.
That way, I can push through the story that updates next Thursday.
The current story progression in LEORE is as follows:
From level 1 to 60, you become a rookie adventurer in the Perde Continent and work hard.
Upon reaching the level 60 Max Level, you go to Ardea, the largest country in the Perde Continent, and work as an adventurer, finding a strange cave and discovering a new area through the Abyss Entrance there.
From the Abyss Entrance you find, terrifying monsters crawl out, and you move to stop them.
The current Raids are all about defeating Abyss Bosses.
This season’s update is the last season update of the expansion pack, so the Raid Boss that appears is said to be the final Abyss Boss.
Looking back at the stories I’ve done so far, they weren’t exactly heart-pounding or exciting, but doing the stories is really fun.
Is it because this is a virtual reality game? When I watch the stories, the immersion is on a different level than watching movies, dramas, comics, or anime, and my heart races.
The story I need to play now is the part where I defeat the Abyss Boss at the Abyss Entrance and explore what kind of world the Abyss is.
The starting point of the quest was the Abyss Entrance.
The content was to join up with the NPC who had been progressing with me until now at the Abyss Entrance.
As soon as I moved to the Abyss Entrance, I looked around, examining my surroundings as I walked.
The scenery, similar to the Salar de Uyuni salt flats that I had wanted to visit before, never fails to impress me.
The sky has countless stars with a subtle reddish hue like a sunset, and they are reflected like a mirror due to the water gently spread on the ground.
So, I feel like I’m walking in the middle of the universe, and it’s even mesmerizing.
“Arangnim, are you here?”
My Magician companion greeted me with a smile.
“Yeah, I’m here.”
“Welcome, I’ve been waiting.”
My Tank companion said, hitting his shield with his sword.
What’s amazing about LEORE is that the jobs of the companions change according to the job you’re progressing with in the story, so you can always match a Tank Dealer Dealer Healer combination, which is quite convenient.
Also, because it’s the future, AI has developed so much that there’s nothing awkward about talking to real people. So, I don’t just think of them as NPCs, but as companions.
[Explore the Abyss Zone]
Exploration Rate 50% Achieved 1/50%
After receiving a buff from my Healer companion, I slowly walked around, exploring the Abyss Zone.
The early part of the Abyss seems to be just a plain.
In terms of shape, ordinary plants are widely spread, but the color is black, so it doesn’t seem like normal plants.
While exploring the surroundings and raising the exploration rate, something crawled up from under the ground.
It was an Abyss Zone Monster at first glance.
It looked like a maggot, but tree roots were attached around it like centipedes, and I just felt like throwing up.
‘Isn’t this too grotesque…?!’
For the first time, I wondered if LEORE should be rated for 15 year olds, as it was hard to look at.
If I had just seen it on the monitor, I would have been okay, but because it’s a virtual world, the disgust was doubled.
Also, it was so realistic that the tree root legs seemed to be about 20, and when they moved with a rustling sound, I got goosebumps.
I didn’t want to get close, so I used a throwing skill that I only use in PVP and threw the Taseom Sword at the monster.
Thwack!
“Kieeeek!”
I thought the maggot centipede monster would die in one hit because of my equipment level, which is much higher than the current story quest, but it remained intact.
But when I looked at the HP of the maggot centipede, it was 0. It was dead.
“What? Why isn’t the corpse disappearing?”
This is a problem. I have to go pick up the Taseom Sword, but the corpse remains as it is. Also, I don’t know why the blood is green, which is annoying.
I groaned and approached the maggot centipede.
Ugh… they made this too realistic. When I pulled out my beloved sword, Taseom Sword, which was stuck in the maggot centipede, the maggot centipede’s green blood came out sticky.
“Ah…”
Even though it’s my favorite Taseom Sword, the state of the Taseom Sword was so terrible that I wanted to throw it away right away when I saw it.
But the reason why this monster’s corpse doesn’t disappear like ordinary monsters is probably…
Ding.
[Explore the Abyss Zone]
Exploration Rate 50% Achieved 25/50%
Check the suspicious monster corpse
Ah… please…!
“It’s a monster I’ve never seen before. Let’s check it out.”
At the Healer’s words, all the companions gathered around the maggot centipede.
I wanted to go somewhere else right away, but I had to see it in the story.
I covered my eyes with my hands and waited for the story to pass, and when I heard the alarm, I opened my eyes.
[Explore the Abyss Zone]
Exploration Rate 50% Achieved 50/50%
I nodded at the exploration percentage that rose in an instant. It was a bit terrible, but it filled half at once, so it’s enough.
As soon as I achieved an exploration rate of 50%, the quest was updated.
[Explore the Abyss Zone]
Find a place to use as a temporary base.
I walked hard to the area where I had to make a base, and the monsters that appeared each time were all disgusting.
I somehow wandered around, dealing with monsters here and there, and found an empty lot without even plants. I set up a temporary tent there and made it a base.
Then, I cleared the Abyss Zone quest only after connecting the city and the portal.
After clearing that quest, all the remaining quests were conversation quests, so they passed quickly.
After creating a base in the Abyss Zone, I continued to explore the Abyss Monsters, and confirmed that Abyss Monsters were nesting in certain areas, and those nests were each past Raids.
Now, the Raids are all from the previous season, so it doesn’t matter, and I kept destroying the nests, and eventually realized that those nests were all offering to one place, and the place I reached was the season Raid Boss that will be updated next week.
For now, what I can tell from watching the story is that the place where all the nests in the current Abyss Zone gather is likely to be a king or queen as the Raid Boss Monster, but since the nests are usually insect type, the queen seems to have a higher probability. I’m a little curious about what it will look like.
So far, the bosses have all had a slightly frowning feeling because they are Abyss concept, but if it’s a queen, it will be either more severe or cool.
Honestly, it’s the last Raid Boss of the expansion pack, so I’m expecting it to come out cool.
I’m also curious about what the next expansion pack will be like when this Abyss expansion pack ends, and I hope time passes quickly.
Ttorong.
I opened the chat window at the alarm sound meaning whisper.
[Arangs Foot Licker]
ㄴArangnim Arangnim. Are your hands and feet cold?
Um… since they’re a prosthetic arm and prosthetic leg, they’re very cold.
[Lee Arang]
ㄴYes. They’re very cold.
[Arangs Foot Licker]
ㄴAh!? I understand!
What? Why did he ask?
My hands and feet are cold.
Even if I think of it as a prosthetic arm and prosthetic leg, it’s cold, and if I say I don’t have them, there’s no temperature, so it’s accurate to express it as cold.
I don’t know what he’s going to do, but I think Footwiper is trying to do something, but I feel like I won’t need it.
The Regular Meeting reminds me, I’m worried about what to do and play with Arangs Foot Licker when we meet.
Should I look for a board game that two people can play?
Still, times have changed a lot, so wouldn’t there be amazing high technology board games with holograms and stuff?
It would be really fun if there was something like the chess that came out in the wizard movie before.

Kwon Miae had already finished farming this season’s Raid and finished preparing for the next season, so she had nothing to do now.
So, instead of connecting to LEORE and doing something, she was preparing for the Regular Meeting with Arang next week.
While worrying about what to prepare for Arang, who is hospitalized, she decided to prepare pretty gloves and socks in preparation for winter, even though it’s summer.
Pretty socks that go well with pretty shoes, and gloves to protect her small and stubby hands.
Kwon Miae, who was full of preparations to meet Arang, hoped that next Thursday would come quickly.
“It’ll definitely look good on her!”
