Ch. 7 Pink Berry
by AfuhfuihgsChapter 7 – Pink Berry
I pondered and thought hard, but I still don’t think I did anything wrong.
Still, I didn’t want people to misunderstand, so I was wondering what to do, rolling around in the pure white space, when an alert popped up.
Opening it, I saw that I had received an email.
“LEORE?”
The email was from a completely unexpected source.
“Oh… they’re actually doing a surprisingly good job? I guess that’s how they were able to make a game like this?”
The email stated that they had received numerous inquiries and, after investigating, confirmed that I had not engaged in any cheating or used any illegally modified terminals. They would post an announcement about it separately.
I couldn’t help but nod at the game company’s simple email saying they would clear up the misunderstanding about me directly.
“Now I can play the game without worrying.”
I immediately brushed aside all the worries and thoughts in my head and logged into LEORE.

[This is the Director of Legacy of Raid.]
Hello, adventurers.
This is Kim Jihoon, the director of Legacy of Raid.
The investigation into the specific user that many of you inquired about recently has been completed.
The results of the investigation showed that there were no issues found in the user’s logs, and there are no issues with the terminal.
We will not respond to any further inquiries about specific users after this announcement.

[LEORE Announcement is up] [245]
(Picture)
Director says Lee Arang user has no problems.
[Wow, crazy, so it really was a solo Orc Chieftain subjugation?]
[That might not be talking about Lee Arang.]
ㄴ[Are you brainless? Who else would it be talking about but Lee Arang?]
[What the hell is that bitch’s identity?]
ㄴ[Isn’t it an AI? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ]
ㄴ[For real, could be]
[How can there be no combat assistance when she’s Parrying that well?]
[If Kim Jihoon is writing the announcement himself, doesn’t that mean it’s certain?]
ㄴ[For real, anything more than this is overkill]

As soon as I checked the quickly uploaded announcement, I enjoyed LEORE without reservation.
Of course, the attention hadn’t died down completely, but I mercilessly blocked anyone who bothered or annoyed me even a little.
As always, I cleared all the quests and killed all the monsters in the current area.
I had reached level 20 before I knew it and had outgrown the beginner equipment. Of course, it’s trash compared to level 60 equipment, but I like it because it’s not raggedy equipment anymore.
[Beginner’s Sword]
Attack Power: 10
Strength +5
Stamina +5
[Trainee Knight’s Sword]
Attack Power: 25
Strength +10
Stamina +5
Stamina +5
It’s a spec that would make a max level player laugh, but it was a weapon that was almost three times stronger than the Beginner’s Sword I had, so I was satisfied enough.
Feeling stronger than usual, I stretched my whole body and stared at the monster in front of me.
[Field Boss]
Level Restricted Area.
LV 25: Corrupted Judge
The second field boss was none other than a human-shaped monster—a field boss holding a one-handed sword just like me.
I knew that field bosses weren’t meant to be cleared alone but with a Raid Group. Still, since I had cleared the Orc Chieftain solo, I was going to try to clear this one too.
I’ll think about gathering people if it doesn’t work out.
I thought you had to be max level to do Raids, but with the existence of these field bosses, you can Raid even at low levels.
As I approached the field boss, it recognized me and ran towards me.
“Do not interfere with me!”
Along with an unpleasant voice, I Parried the descending one-handed sword like I did with the Orc Chieftain.
Clang!
“!?”
An enormous vibration traveled from my hand to my entire body, and I was knocked back.
It was a perfectly timed Parry, but the impact was great. I had no choice but to let the field boss’s attack hit me.
Slash!
Four-fifths of my Hit Points disappeared in one fell swoop from the Parry and the single attack.
Fast, and heavy.
The Orc Chieftain’s axe was bigger and more massive, but I had no problem Parrying it. However, the attack of the current field boss, the Corrupted Judge, was too strong for me to handle right now.
‘This isn’t a problem that can be solved with Parrying alone.’
I could withstand two attacks with Parrying, but I couldn’t take all of the Judge’s attacks by myself.
‘If you think about it, it’s like a Dealer getting hit by a Raid Boss attack.’
This field boss needs a Tank. Or…
‘I need a Healer.’
Basically, if a Dealer gets hit by a Boss’s attack, they mostly die instantly. That’s why you need a Tank.
But right now, I withstood the field boss’s attack twice, and on the third time…
“Die!”
Slash
I died.
A great vibration rang in my neck, and my vision turned pitch black. When I opened my eyes, I was back in town.
“Ugh…”
One Healer. I want to get a Healer and try to catch it. To catch it comfortably, I need a Tank, but I think I can do the Tank role well enough since I can Parry.
Then how do I get a Healer?
“Hmm?”
“Huh?”
Then, when I raised my head, I made eye contact with someone.
A woman wearing equipment that screamed “Healer” to anyone who looked at her.
She’s wearing a pure white robe and holding a white staff. On top of that, her face is gentle, giving off the feeling of a somewhat lacking Saintess from a cartoon.
LV: 60 Pink Berry

I don’t know why a max level user is in this town… no, is she here to see me?
As the Pink Berry user hurriedly turned her head and tried to run away, I called out.
“Excuse me.”
“Hiek, y-yes!”
“Uhm, ahem. Are you a Healer, Unni?”
“Uh… yes. I’m a Healer.”
“Would you like to Party with me?”
“Oh, r-really?”
“Yes.”
I immediately sent a Party invitation to Pink Berry. As soon as Pink Berry accepted the Party, I checked her information.
White Mage.
A job that screams “Healer” at first glance.
“Are you good at healing?”
“Y-yes, I’m good!”
“Really? Then let’s go catch it quickly.”
“Catch what?”
“The field boss.”
“Yes!?”
I arrived back at the field boss, the Corrupted Judge.
“Pink Berrynim, please just heal as much as possible. If you have time, apply Debuffs too.”
“Y-yes!”
As soon as I finished the short briefing, I ran straight to the field boss.
“Do not interfere with me!”
The field boss said the same lines as before and made the same attack. I raised my sword a little faster than before and Parried.
The moment I felt the vibration in my hand, I flung my body backwards.
Before the Knockback came, I created a forced Knockback even 0.1 seconds faster.
With that 0.1 second difference, I was able to barely avoid the next attack.
I glanced up and checked my Hit Points bar. The Hit Points that had been shaved off when I Parried were now full.
As soon as I evaded the attack, I swung my sword at the field boss’s undefended flank. However, the field boss reacted suddenly, and the sword moved as if it were alive and Parried it as it was.
Clang!
“Heup!?”
I was flustered by the field boss’s Parry, and I was about to eat the next field boss’s attack when…
“Die!”
“Shield!”
A pure white effect enveloped my body, and a transparent barrier was created.
Bang!!!
Half of my blood flew away in an instant, but I survived. An attack that would have been an instant kill if I hadn’t received the Shield.
But I survived thanks to Pink Berry’s Shield.
After that, I evaded or Parried the field boss’s attacks and attacked in a way that my attacks wouldn’t be Parried as much as possible.
The sensation of all the information in front of me flooding in. Information down to the smallest detail comes in, and the trajectory of the field boss’s attacks and what attacks he will make next come into view.
It’s definitely stronger than the Orc Chieftain, and the backandforth went on longer than the Orc Chieftain, who would have died a long time ago.
After some time, pain began to come to my brain. It feels like an overload due to excessive information processing.
But if I turn off this sensation right now, I can avoid the field boss’s attacks, but I won’t be able to Parry.
Clang!
A cheerful sound and a red impact occurred, and a sharp sound rang out as the two one-handed swords collided, cracking.
“Are you interfering with this body!”
‘Ugh…!’
Is it because it’s not even a field boss level yet? I lose completely in the strength contest. As the sword was pushed back, I naturally braced for the field boss to attack.
Again, I smiled and attacked the field boss with the heal coming in like clockwork.
The field boss’s movements are slowing down, and my brain is aching from the excessive information, so my reactions are slowing down.
Because of that…
“Arang!”
I missed the field boss’s attack, and in a situation where it was too late to dodge, I forced a Parry.
Clang!
The impact was greater than I thought.
One of my knees buckled, and the enormous Hit Points and vibrations of a size I had never experienced before stopped my body.
The field boss’s one-handed sword emitted a black light.
It’s obviously the boss’s most powerful attack.
My body still can’t move due to the afterdelay, so I can’t dodge, block, or Parry.
‘Ah… what a waste.’
The moment I sensed death, my body flew backwards at an incredible speed.
“Hiyat!?”
In a situation I hadn’t expected, I made a sound I had never made in my life and hugged Pink Berry.
I was startled by the enormous softness I felt on the back of her head.
“It’s a White Mage level 20 Rescue skill. An ability that can pull Party members.”
“Oh…”
It’s a pretty good skill. It barely saved me from dying because of the afterdelay.
“Thank you.”
“U-uh!”
I, who had my life saved thanks to Pink Berry, ran forward towards the field boss who was in afterdelay after the attack.
