Ch. 0 Prologue

    Chapter 0 – Prologue

I was originally an ordinary college student.

To be precise, I was a game addict whose hobby was escaping reality. (T/N: Same…)

I procrastinated on assignments as much as possible and crammed for exams the night before. On the other hand, I was the type who wouldn’t sleep until I achieved 100% completion of a game right after its release.

    That day wasn’t much different.

The problem was that I had downloaded a new RPG game recommended by my friends.

I started it because I was tempted by their words, “This is seriously the best game ever!” but…

    ‘Ugh, this is so predictable.’

    Worldview: Another world.

    Main character: A hero.

    Enemy: The Demon King.

Skills: Weak at first, but if you work hard, you’ll become overpowered!

I was completely turned off by the cliché-filled plot.

I stretched once after defeating a mid-boss and immediately turned it off.

“How could anyone recommend this as fun?” I grumbled as I closed my eyes…

When I opened my eyes, I was in another world.

    .

    .

    .

The place I was reincarnated into was a shabby orphanage. I woke up as a five-year-old boy, and it took me a while to understand my situation. It was funny enough that I had been dropped into another world like in the games I used to play, but to top it off, I was an orphan?

    ‘Ah, this is the worst.’

After that, I struggled to survive. I barely ate, barely slept, but I persevered stubbornly. Then one day, a priest from the village church said he would take me in.

“This child has a very pure soul. He might be the one God desires.”

‘A pure soul? What nonsense… He just wants to use me as labor.’

But the church was a better option than the orphanage. So, I walked the path of a clergy member, somehow managing to continue my life.

For someone like me who loved games in my past life, prayers and teachings were unbearably boring, but at least I wouldn’t starve to death.

Time passed, and before I knew it, I was 18 years old.

    .

    .

    .

That day was the selection ceremony for the ‘Saintess’.

The Saintess is said to be the highest blessed existence in the church, serving as a sacred shield to prepare for the Demon King’s return. Usually, only girls are chosen, but this time, four candidates were waiting at the papal court.

Of course, I was just a spectator. There was no way I would become the Saintess.

‘Hmm… who among these candidates will be chosen? The girl on the left seems the most promising.’

I was sitting there, making half-hearted predictions, when suddenly, the atmosphere changed.

In an instant, a holy light poured down from the ceiling, and everyone bowed their heads. The light focused on a single target, and I witnessed that moment clearly.

    ‘What? Why is the light…?’

And then, the light landed precisely on top of my head.

    ‘…Huh?’

    A moment of silence passed.

    “…???????????????”

    “????????”

    “???????????”

“This ‘person’ has received God’s selection!”

The shouts of the clergy filled the cathedral in an instant.

    ‘What?! No, me? Me?!’

Me, the Saintess? How does that make sense? I was speechless under the shocked gazes of those around me. The girls who were candidates looked beyond astonished—utterly bewildered.

    But that wasn’t the end.

The light descending from the ceiling enveloped my body and suddenly ‘remade’ me entirely.

    I felt it.

    I grew breasts.

    My waist became slimmer.

    My voice became higher.

    And… and…

“They never said anything about becoming a girl!!!!!!”
