Unusual Phenomenon

    “I’ve arrived. Hehe.”

Nyx successfully teleported to the correct coordinates on the first try. Before we knew it, the two of us were back in front of the Rune Dungeon, where we had caught that damned blue locomotive.

I reached out my hand and gently stroked Nyx’s head.

    “Good job, Nyx.”

    “Hieueu……”

A thin, long breath flowed from her mouth. Nyx accepted my touch with her eyes narrowed. A little later, I removed my hand. Her pupils returned to their original gloomy black.

“Just wait here for a moment. I’ll be back soon.”

“You don’t have to rush back, but……”

“I can’t. You want me to leave you standing here alone while I relax comfortably?”

She kept showing such a friendly attitude that I couldn’t just keep treating her harshly.

Although Nyx was full of things she was hiding, concealed strange secrets, and suffered from absurd delusions, she hadn’t really caused us any harm, had she?

At most, she had suddenly appeared in the middle of the city and terrified people, but there were no fatalities and virtually no actual damage, so it was merely an incident that could be covered up and moved past.

“Hehe…… Then please go and come back.”

Nyx, who said that, leaned her back against a rock near the Rune Dungeon and plopped down. She tried to hug her knees but paused, then lay on her side in an awkward posture.

She probably originally intended to lean against the wall while hugging her knees. But because of her absurdly large chest, she couldn’t hug her knees, and that’s why she ended up in that posture.

‘Who on earth designed such an appearance, truly……’

I admired human imagination and moved my steps toward the city. After a similar amount of time passed as when I headed to the Rune Dungeon, before I knew it, the towering city walls began to appear.

A long line was stretched out at the city gate. For some reason, the line felt much longer than when I had left. Instead of waiting at the very end, I strode briskly alongside the line.

Beside the gate, four guards were inspecting people and carriages. The guards were, of course, women, and the citizens being inspected were also women. Their attire spoke for itself.

That wasn’t all. Even in the waiting line, which was easily a hundred meters long, the sight of a man was nowhere to be seen, no matter how thoroughly I searched.

‘Why are all of them women here? Is this a city designed by the modder with such a concept?’

It had been like this when I briefly stopped by here to meet Cassandra before heading to the Rune Dungeon. Even then, I hadn’t seen a single man on the streets.

As I approached right up to the city gate, a guard stopped me. Unfortunately, it was a different person than the guard who had been standing there when I visited earlier.

“You cannot approach further. Please go to the very end of the line. In order-“

The guard was about to send me to the back of the line, but before I could even take out my identification from my pocket, she stopped speaking and continuously scanned me up and down.

And then, as if she had realized something, she let out an “Ah” sound.

“By any chance, are you Captain-nim Delta of the Knights of the Pitch-Black Holy Night?”

I stopped my hand mid-way through taking out my identification.

    “How did you know?”

“The Lord-nim informed the guard unit. They said to let a handsome man pass if he comes, with black hair, black eyes, and wearing a grayish sword at his waist. I also heard the name then.”

Even though I had given them an identification for inspection, it seemed they had given a heads-up beforehand just in case. I put the identification I had half-taken out back into my inner pocket.

“Welcome to your visit. Please enter, Captain-nim.”

The guard neatly cleared the way. Passing by her side, I entered inside the city gate.

    “……?”

As soon as I entered, an unknown chilling sensation rushed in, and I shivered slightly, looking around.

Not only the guard who had just let me in, but also the citizens waiting in line for inspection, and even the women walking on the street and those casually loitering nearby.

All of them were staring at me. I felt a sticky and lingering gaze that was impossible to ignore.

‘What is it? Why are they like that? Have they all gone crazy?’

I slowly moved my steps toward Cassandra’s mansion. In accordance with my movements, their gazes also followed me. It was hard to hide the uncomfortable feeling.

Even when I subtly hinted, not a single person averted their gaze. They didn’t even seem to care whether I was displeased or not.

‘Still not a single man visible.’

Walking on the main street, I kept looking around, but it was all women. Even though there were hundreds of people caught in my sight.

And everyone was staring intently at me.

By this point, anyone would naturally think it was strange. It was a chilling gaze, enough to spontaneously create an uncomfortable feeling that wasn’t there before.

A few hours ago, when I briefly stopped by with Helga, although gazes gathered a few times, it wasn’t to this extent. It was just a few glances out of the corner of their eyes.

I kept walking toward the mansion. The deeper I went into the city, the more explicit the gazes became.

    ‘What happened?’

Every single one was far from a normal situation.

Despite walking on the city’s main street, the fact that there were no men at all among thousands of people, and that all the women on the street were explicitly staring at me. Both of them.

Trying hard to ignore the sticky gazes, I arrived in front of the mansion. The knights guarding the main gate gave me their attention. They were female knights wearing loose white t-shirts and short shorts that were practically bikini bottoms.

On top of that, it seemed they weren’t wearing underwear again, as a pink silhouette was faintly visible beyond the bulging chest area of the t-shirt.

Clearly, just a few hours ago, they were normally wearing armor.

Our eyes met. As soon as her eyes met mine, the knight abruptly started fanning herself with her hand, then grabbed the hem of her t-shirt and lifted it up, revealing her stomach clearly etched with 11-line abs.

The lifted hem was tightly tied below her chest. Overall, it was an outfit that could be called a lower-tier version of Nyx’s.

“Are you Captain-nim Delta of the Knights of the Pitch-Black Holy Night?”

The knight calmly spoke to me. I slowly nodded my head.

    “That’s right.”

“Please enter. The Lord-nim is waiting.”

Her hand politely pointed to the marble path carved to lead along the garden toward the mansion. Clearly, it was a path I had walked just a short while ago, but now it felt strangely uncomfortable.

Perhaps it was because the knights, who had finished their say, were staring at me with the same eyes as the women on the street.

Without even glancing at the knights, I passed by them and walked into the mansion. I ignored the gaze fixed intently on me from behind my back.

The mansion I entered like that was quiet.

Yes, it was so quiet that it was a problem.

I examined the chandelier on the ceiling, with all its lights turned off, and the candelabras on the corridor walls, with their candle wax hardened. Perhaps because all the light sources had disappeared, the corridor was slightly dim despite it being broad daylight.

‘Come to think of it, the curtains……’

Clearly it was broad daylight, and I wondered why it was so dark, but then I saw that all the curtains were drawn on every window in the corridor. Seeing that, I lightly gripped the hilt of the Wingless Nightmare so I could draw it at any time.

First, I decided to look for anyone. Since it was such a large mansion, someone would surely be here, and if I couldn’t find anyone, that itself meant something had happened.

I wandered through every corner of the mansion, pulling back all the curtains at every window I passed.

    “Something’s happened.”

    I couldn’t find a single person.

‘Surely, this kind of trouble didn’t break out just because I thought that, right?’

After gaining the vampiric impulse, I recalled thinking, “Surely nothing would happen,” even though it had only been a few hours. I shouldn’t have had such useless thoughts. I should have just stayed quiet.

Just because I thought “what could happen” doesn’t mean something happened, but still, I couldn’t hide the uncomfortable feeling. Grumbling inwardly, I went up to the top floor of the mansion. It was the last place to look.

All that was on the top floor of the mansion was a massive corridor and a single, elaborately decorated door. This was probably Cassandra’s room.

I drew the Wingless Nightmare. If I made a mistake, I could become a madman who barged into the Lord’s room with a drawn sword, but that was much better than going in without a weapon and getting ambushed and killed.

Because in the former situation, at least I would be given a chance to make an excuse.

    “Captain-nim……?”

I was about to reach out my arm to the door, but hearing a faint sound calling me, I stopped my movement. I turned my head. From the other end of the dim corridor, someone was staggering toward me.

Pink rabbit ears perked up on her head. X-shaped stickers barely covered her nipples and vulva. The bare skin of her chest and abdomen was fully exposed. In contrast, her arms and legs were tightly wrapped without a single gap.

    It was Helga.

“Helga? Where were you, and now you’ve appeared……?”

I was reflexively about to approach Helga but paused for a moment. In this situation, it was hard to blindly trust someone walking toward me with such a strange appearance. Even if it was someone I knew.

I turned the tip of the Wingless Nightmare’s blade toward Helga. It was an apologetic action, but verifying that the person there was truly Helga and that there was no problem was the priority.

“Stop there, Helga. Don’t come any closer and speak from that spot.”

    “Captain-nim…… Captain-nim……”

Even though I aimed my sword and told her to stop, Helga was still staggering toward me. She seemed to have no intention of stopping her legs.

The distance gradually narrowed. Her chest fat, barely covered in vital areas by just a single X-shaped sticker, swayed very provocatively in rhythm with her steps.

“It’s a Captain’s order. Helga, stop right there.”

    “Order…… Yes. I understand.”

Perhaps because of her thorough personality, which acted when it was time to, even if she was swaying, Helga reacted to the word “order” despite being half-dazed.

As soon as the words “Captain’s order” were uttered, Helga’s body abruptly stopped in place. The Wingless Nightmare was just about to pierce her Adam’s apple. If she had taken just one more step, she would certainly have been stabbed.

Before that, I, startled, would have lowered the sword, but here, the thought of stabbing Helga to death with my own hands was not even a tiny bit present.

Anyway, one thing became clear from what just happened: Helga’s current state was not normal. If she had been in a normal state, she wouldn’t have even approached to the point of being stabbed by a sword like that.

The corridor was still dim, so only after the distance had narrowed this much could I clearly confirm Helga’s face.

Her cheeks and face were flushed and red with excitement, her breath was filled with intense pleasure, her pupils were hazy and half-open, and beads of sweat formed on her feverishly hot body and skin.

It’s awkward to make such a comparison, but she looked like Rije when she was extremely aroused while entwining bodies with me.

“Now we can get some answers. Helga, what happened here? What went on? Where did Lord-nim Cassandra and the other kids go?”

    “Nothing, happened.”

“Nothing happened, you say? It’s clearly a lie, can’t you see?”

As soon as I entered the city, all the women’s gazes were focused only on me, there wasn’t a single man, the mansion was empty, and even Helga, whom I barely met, wasn’t in her right mind-and you say nothing happened?

With a bewildered feeling, I stared at Helga. But Helga, whether I showed this reaction or not, started staggering again.

    “Captain-nim……”

“I told you not to come closer. Speak from that spot.”

I put the Wingless Nightmare back into its sheath and used its tip to push Helga away. Seeing her appearance, it felt like if I tried to push her with my hand, she’d grab my arm before I could even push.

Helga’s body swayed greatly as it was pushed back. She almost fell to the floor, but Helga, who barely regained her balance, gave me her gaze, continuously exhaling heated breaths with hazy eyes.

Then suddenly, she licked her lips with her tongue. The rabbit ears on her head twitched.

    “Captain-nim…… you’re a man, right?”

“What are you talking about, suddenly?”

    “Captain-nim. Captain-nim, you are a man, right?”

One step. It was the distance Helga’s lower body moved. Her chest swayed up and down.

“I’m a woman. Because I have these on my chest.”

Helga’s two hands grabbed her chest, one by one.

And then, she began to knead and massage it as if kneading rice cakes.

She pulled it widely left and right, fully exposing her sweat-soaked cleavage, or conversely, gathered it toward the center, rubbing her breasts together, and also shook them up and down as if showing off their weight.

It was a very provocative sight, but right now, rather than excitement boiling up at the sight of it, the feeling of absurdity was much stronger. The tip of the sword extended forward trembled slightly.

    “Helga, you……”

“Captain-nim. Even after this, you don’t understand?”

Her body took one step forward. The hands that were kneading her chest dropped. She had been kneading them so strongly that red marks remained clearly on her skin.

“When a man has an aroused woman in front of him, there’s only one thing to do, isn’t there?”

Her finger extended toward the X-shaped sticker covering her nipple. With her left hand, she supported the bottom of her right breast, and with her right hand, she fiddled with the sticker attached to her nipple.

Tok, tok. Her index fingernail touched the edge of the sticker. Through the gap in the sticker, the sight of something pink was visible. Not even a hint of hesitation remained in Helga’s gesture.

The sticker began to peel off little by little.
