Chapter 119: Summer Vacation, Part 5

    “You’re here…!”

    “Hi, Unnie.”

    “Hi, Arin.”

Choi Arin, who had arrived five minutes earlier, greeted them while pulling her suitcase.

One might question the need for a suitcase for a one-night stay, but with swimsuits, pajamas, and an outfit for the next day, their luggage inevitably increased.

It was more convenient to pack it neatly in a suitcase than to cram it into a bag and risk wrinkling their clothes.

And it was easier to pull a suitcase with wheels.

“Let’s check in first and then go have lunch.”

    “Yes!”

    “Chinese food!”

They chuckled at Choi Arin’s pun and proceeded to check in at the hotel lobby.

“A room for three under Hong Seo-hyun.”

Hong Seo-hyun had to check in on their behalf.

Hayoon would have done it, but booking accommodations was…

    Difficult.

“You’re all set. We’ve confirmed your reservation for a suite package for Hong Seo-hyun and two guests.”

    “Yay!”

    “Staycation time!”

While Hong Seo-hyun and Choi Arin celebrated with the room key, Hayoon looked on nervously.

If they asked for ID, she would be in trouble.

“Miss? You look pale, are you feeling unwell…?”

    “Oh, no, I’m fine.”

Fortunately, the hotel employee was oblivious.

Hayoon hurriedly followed them into the elevator and finally sighed in relief once they were alone.

    “Haa… I was so nervous.”

She was worried they might ask for her ID, but thankfully, they didn’t.

“That’s the first time I’ve seen you scared.”

“Hehehe… They would have definitely asked for your ID if you didn’t have such big breasts. Look at you sweating.”

“Wouldn’t you be nervous? Do you know how much money I spent on this?”

Hong Seo-hyun and Choi Arin giggled at Hayoon’s appearance, and Hayoon snapped back, asking why they were laughing.

She had always been far from needing to worry about ID checks, so she felt a slight sense of self-deprecation at being so nervous.

“Just wait six months, I’m so frustrated…”

    “Frustrated?”

“Yeah, I should have been born a bit earlier…”

The annoying just-turned-twenty duo giggled and ran into their suite.

Hayoon followed them, and what awaited the three, visiting a five-star hotel for the first time, was…

    “Wow…”

A small swimming pool on a glass-enclosed terrace with a view of the Seoul cityscape.

“Wow, it’s deep. Looks like 1.5 meters?”

“Will you even be able to stand, Senpai?”

“Of course! I’m over 160cm tall!”

    “She’s exactly 160cm. Exactly.”

    “Hey!”

Choi Arin, who had climbed down the ladder into the empty pool, teased Hong Seo-hyun.

Next, they checked out the bathroom…

    “Oh, no…”

The bathroom, shower, and even the spa were enclosed in glass walls, completely visible from the bed, sofa, or anywhere else in the suite.

    “Um.”

    “This is awkward…”

The three of them shared the same sentiment.

The spa was spacious and nice, but being completely visible from the outside was a bit much.

They even wondered if it would be visible when using the toilet…

    “Oh!”

    “Huh?”

    “Wow, high-tech.”

When they entered the spa to take a closer look and closed the door, the glass frosted over, turning translucent.

From the outside, only blurry silhouettes would be visible.

It would still be awkward if someone was sitting on the toilet and the sound of flushing could be heard…

“If it feels too awkward, we can just use the lobby restroom.”

    “Yeah, let’s do that…”

“Or should one of us try it now? It might be soundproof since it’s a high-end hotel.”

“Seriously, Hong, you’ve become a dopamine addict from streaming…”

“Yeah… You snooze, you lose! Rock, paper, scissors…”

    “Scissors…”

    “Scissors…”

They suddenly decided to play rock-paper-scissors to decide who would test the bathroom.

    “Ah, nooo…!”

The result was two scissors and one paper.

Hong Seo-hyun, who had suggested it, lost…

    “Get out…”

    “Are we really doing this…?”

“Let’s go, Unnie. If we let you off the hook, you’ll try to avoid it on stream. You have to take responsibility for what you say.”

    “…”

Hong Seo-hyun sat on the toilet, pouting.

Hayoon and Choi Arin retreated to the bed…

    “Ah.”

    “Ah.”

Soon, the faint sound of trickling water could be heard.

    It seemed somewhat soundproof, but…

“Let’s just use the lobby restroom.”

    “Agreed…”

No matter how they thought about it, using the bathroom here was awkward.

Even between friends, there was no need to share such sounds.

Hayoon and Choi Arin reached a silent agreement.

    –Trickle.

Hong Seo-hyun seemed to be sitting there for a while, probably having drunk some water in the morning.

    “D-Did you hear that?”

    “Ah…”

    “That…”

    “Aaaaagh!”

They hadn’t said anything because it seemed embarrassing…

But apparently, even that was enough for Hong Seo-hyun to scream and run out.

“We’ve dropped our luggage and looked around the room, so shall we go eat?”

    “Uh… after hearing that?”

“It’s not something we’ll forget even if we wait an hour or two…”

    “Okay… let’s just go…”

They headed to the hotel restaurant.

“Wow, this is crazy, crazy, crazy.”

“Is this shrimp? It is shrimp, right? This is insane.”

They sat at a corner table in the hotel’s Chinese restaurant.

It was less crowded during lunch than dinner, and Choi Arin and Hong Seo-hyun marveled at the golden shrimp balls that arrived first.

It was a dish of whole shrimp wrapped in thinly sliced potatoes, served as an appetizer.

    “It’s actually gold. Wow, this…”

It was a truly picture-worthy dish.

Hayoon naturally took out her phone, capturing the golden shrimp balls with her camera, then with her eyes, and finally, with her mouth.

    “…!”

    “Wow…”

    “Insane…”

Wasn’t there a saying that when three women gather, dishes break?

That was exactly the case now.

They were excited after just one appetizer, patting each other’s shoulders. Next came the soup.

    “Hmm…”

    “This looks a bit…”

Unlike the visually appealing and delicious golden shrimp balls, this one looked like herbal medicine…

“Buddha Jumps Over the Wall? It’s a tonic made with shark fin, abalone, sea cucumber, truffles, and chicken feet, all simmered together.”

    “S-Shark fin?”

“Is this it? The white thing?”

“I should take a picture of the shark fin separately. It’ll look better in a picture.”

    “Hong, you’re a genius!”

“But don’t forget to take a picture before taking it out. We won’t be able to eat this again.”

    “Ah, right, right.”

Their eyes lit up at the mention of shark fin.

They were obsessed with getting good pictures for Instagram.

“Wow, I feel like I’ve gained two years of life.”

    “I’ve gained five.”

After finishing the hot Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup, the two giggled, arguing about who had gained more years of life.

They were simply twenty-year-old girls who enjoyed good food.

    “Hehehe.”

    “Heehee.”

    “Hehe…”

They were speechless when the main course, Dongpo pork, arrived.

It was made with premium Korean pork belly, and the meat melted in their mouths, skin and all.

As they reached for more meat, feeling reluctant for it to end…

    “Wow, this skin…”

“Chewy and springy, insane. The meat doesn’t melt right away this time, the texture is amazing…”

    “Worth every penny… Amazing…”

    The texture…

    Was completely different.

They had added a textural element to the Dongpo pork, making it even more enjoyable.

    “Insane…!”

    “So good…!”

    “Wow…!”

Through the remaining three courses—main course, dessert, and tea—they continued to express their amazement and delight.

The food was delicious, visually appealing, and their phone cameras were constantly clicking.

As they fully enjoyed their multi-million won staycation package, finishing their first meal with sweet white tea…

Hayoon put down her teacup and spoke quietly.

    “Shall we go swimming?”

    “S-Swimming?”

    “S-Swimming…”

Hong Seo-hyun and Choi Arin reacted similarly.

    They had bravely bought bikinis…

But they felt shy about wearing them in front of their friends.

However, they had to wear them.

They were in a five-star hotel, having spent millions of won.

“No, wait. Let’s play table tennis first. Come to think of it, that was the original plan. Playing table tennis as a warm-up before swimming wouldn’t be bad.”

Hayoon’s mind was already set on swimming.

The unveiling of their bikinis was imminent.
