Chapter 11: Uh…. Uh, uh…. Sister….
by Afuhfuihgs–Knock, knock, knock
As I sat there crying, Sieun knocked softly on the door, a stark contrast to her earlier pounding.
–Creak
“You came…? Why are you so late…?” I mumbled.
“Ugh, the smell. How much did you drink?”
Ignoring her, I threw myself into her arms, sobbing uncontrollably. When her shoulder was soaked with my tears, she finally spoke.
“Yunha, what’s wrong? Tell me everything.”
Her words opened the floodgates. I poured out my frustrations: the rejected job applications, the beating I’d suffered.
“Just as planned,” she murmured.
“Huh…? What…?”
“Oh, nothing. It’s late. Let’s get you to bed.”
She stroked my hair. After that, I remember nothing. I probably agreed and went to bed. What happened next is a blank.
–Rustle
“Yunha, wake up. It’s morning.”
“Ugh…”
A pounding headache greeted me. A terrible hangover. This is why I don’t drink. Tastes bad, feels worse.
“Does your head hurt, Yunha? Should I get you something for your hangover?”
“Yes… please…”
She suddenly kissed me.
…?!
She deepened the kiss, our second. When she pulled away, I stared at her, wide-eyed, fully awake now.
“Wh-What are you doing…!!!”
“Hee hee, look at your red face. So cute.”
She grinned mischievously, pointing to her lips. “Hangover cure. My lips. Your headache’s gone, and you’re awake. Mission accomplished.”
I gaped at her, speechless at her audacity. Strangely, I wasn’t angry.
…Why?
“Hee hee, you don’t seem upset, Yunha. Do you like it?”
“N-No…! Be quiet!”
She laughed, stroking my hair, just like the night before. What happened after I blacked out?
“Um… Sister… what happened last night…?”
“Hmm?”
“I… I don’t remember…”
A wicked smile spread across her face.
“Hmm~ Should I tell you? Maybe if you call me Unni…”
Always with the Unni… I was about to refuse when—
“You don’t remember how much you begged me last night? Want me to refresh your memory?”
Begged…? That crazy drunk… What did I do…?!
My mind reeled. Begging her? That’s insane… I had to know.
“U-Um… U-Unni…”
I’m only doing this to find out what happened. Nothing more.
She grinned. “Actually, nothing happened.”
Then she made a mocking face. Annoying, yet… not entirely unpleasant. No! Why am I thinking like this?
