Chapter 10 : It’s Not ‘Oh Yeah’, It’s ‘Misunderstanding’

After finishing lunch and entering the lecture hall for the afternoon class, Professor Millie Allegra was waiting for us.

    “Please take your seats.”

“Isn’t the afternoon class supposed to be the Four Elements lecture?”

Professor Allegra smiled brightly at Ernia’s question, telling us she would explain once we were seated.

We were the last ones to arrive, as all the other students were already seated. As soon as we sat down, she introduced herself.

“Nice to meet you all, I’m Professor Millie Allegra, in charge of the Four Elements lecture.”

I wondered how many subjects she was in charge of, but when she took out her staff, we couldn’t help but applaud.

“Very good. Shall we begin the lecture then?”

Did you know? After lunch, you can get a disease called sleepiness.

Forcing my heavy eyelids open, I was listening to the professor’s lullaby when she sighed, staring intently at us.

“Both in the morning and in the afternoon, our student is always sleeping. What do you do at night to be sleeping during class?”

As she was about to take out her staff from her bosom, saying this wouldn’t do, our eyes met.

I looked at the smiling professor with uneasy eyes, and she gestured for me to come over.

“I know that Aris student can use Illusion Magic, can you show it to our students?”

    “It’s magic.”

Illusion Magic, I don’t know anything like that.

What I perform is only magic.

After listening to my words, the professor pondered for a moment and called me, saying, ‘Then will you show us some magic?’ Was the answer already decided?

I got up from my seat and went up to the platform, and everyone looked at me with expectant eyes. When I took out my staff (twig) from my bosom, the professor told me to perform mainly the Four Elements Magic if possible.

Nodding my head and performing magic, the scenery slowly changed.

The scenery changed as if we had moved to the middle of a residential area lined with cute houses, and even the students who had been dozing off until just now came to their senses and looked around.

    “W-what is this…?”

    “Is this Illusion Magic…?”

    It’s magic, though.

Since it was set in Japan, I pointed to the distant Mount Fuji to my friends who were looking around the cute residential area.

Then, all eyes were focused on Mount Fuji, and at the same time, I waved the twig once more, and magma began to gush out from the huge crater with a loud roar.

    ‘Kwaaaaaang!’

Mount Fuji exploded, and a huge pile of ashes covered the sky, and the students screamed at the falling meteors.

    “Kyaaaaaaa!”

    “S-save me!!”

    “I, I don’t want to die!”

This is one of the four elements, fire, kids.

Professor, you were so moved that you called my name urgently and shouted for me to stop.

“A, Aris student!? S-stop, please stop!”

    “Yes, Professor.”

When I waved the twig, we returned to the lecture hall as if nothing had happened, and the children who were almost hit by the ashes and meteors were staring at me with blank eyes.

The professor was staring at me with a blank gaze at my eyes asking for praise.

Are you touched? It’s just the beginning, I’m embarrassed.

Then, when I waved the twig, this time we moved to an altitude of 5,000m and began to fall to the ground due to the law of gravity.

    And the screams I heard.

It’s a sound I’ve heard a lot at amusement parks.

    Is it that fun?

After all, the sky is the best place to feel the wind.

While I was enjoying the exhilaration I felt after a long time, the professor was gesturing and approaching me.

    “A, Aris student! S-stop! Stooooop!!”

    “Already? That’s a shame.”

When I waved the twig, everyone fell back into the classroom as if nothing had happened, and everyone’s hair, including the professor’s, was a mess.

Above all, I can see a few friends who have fainted, is it just my imagination?

…Weaklings, fainting at just this much.

I was about to wave the twig again because water and earth were still left, but I failed because the professor grabbed my arm.

    “S-stop! This is enough!”

“We still have the live burial tour, which is good for experiencing soil, and the deep sea tour, which is good for experiencing water, left.”

    “End! Today’s lecture is over!”

With those words, the professor ran out of the lecture hall.

What a shame. There was more magic I wanted to show.

    Illusion Magic.

It is an ancient Magic that has now been lost, with only a few lines appearing in old documents. Its power is said to be unimaginable, but no one believed it.

    It’s just an illusion, right?

However, the Illusion Magic I experienced directly was not like that.

It wasn’t Illusion Magic, but it could be called Dimension Magic. It naturally implemented the scenery of another world, but how was that possible?

Besides, the feeling of falling from the sky that I felt just now.

That didn’t make sense as an illusion.

And there’s one more unique thing: Aris student calls this Magic not Illusion Magic, but magic.

If the fact that it is Illusion Magic is announced, they will have to investigate how they acquired this Magic, but if they say it is a unique Magic they created themselves, the investigation will be exempt.

Is that why they’re doing this?

I don’t know whether to call it wise or cunning.

And when I saw them looking at me with shining eyes, I couldn’t help but be horrified.

I ended today’s class with those words and quickly evacuated out of the lecture hall.

The remaining experiences are live burial and deep sea exploration, it’s impossible even if I die.

Thanks to finishing the lecture earlier than expected, I was going to go to the professor’s office to prepare for the next lecture, but the plan was canceled due to the Headmaster I met in the hallway.

“Hehehe, Professor Millie Allegra, isn’t it lecture time now?”

“Oh, I finished early today due to circumstances.”

“Is it perhaps because of the Mana I felt just now?”

    “Yes, that’s right. Headmaster.”

I wondered why the Headmaster, who is always in the Headmaster’s office, was in the hallway, but it was because of our Aris student.

Following the Headmaster who said that we should discuss the details in the Headmaster’s office.

Entering the Headmaster’s office and sitting on a chair following the Headmaster, he offered me tea, so I thanked him and took a sip, and it was sweet.

    Very sweet.

“So, how was Aris student’s Illusion Magic?”

“It’s inappropriate to call it Illusion Magic.”

    “Oh? In what way?”

When I put down my teacup and looked at the Headmaster with a serious gaze, he was looking at me with an interesting gaze.

After asking for his understanding, I took out my staff from my bosom and showed him what I had just experienced, and the Headmaster couldn’t hide his surprise.

“T-this is not Illusion Magic, but Dimension Magic.”

“That’s right, Headmaster. Aris student used Dimension Magic, not Illusion Magic.”

The Headmaster, who had an expression that he couldn’t even imagine that there would be someone who could use Dimension Magic among the students. No, among the Magicians, gave me instructions with a serious face.

    A very important task.

“W-was that real Illusion Magic just now!?”

    “It’s magic.”

I nodded my head as I watched her answer that it was magic to Ernia’s question, who is always with her.

Her status is Commoner, but if she sticks next to the young lady of the Duke’s family, she will be able to avoid trouble.

Did she approach knowing this, or was it a coincidence?

If she approached knowing this, her intentions for approaching me become unclear.

She has already captured the young lady of the Dragonian Duke’s family, does she need my power as the young master of the Breaker Duke’s family?

To put it bluntly, she doesn’t need it.

It will only raise more suspicion.

As soon as our eyes met, the Commoner waved her hand at me and approached.

    “Arden! Let’s go back together!”

I would have refused firmly as usual, but this time it’s different.

There are things I want to ask and things I’m curious about.

    “I will.”

As soon as I accepted the offer, she clung to me again.

“It’s the first time! It’s the first time Arden has listened to me!”

“I understand, so don’t cling to me! People are watching!”

“What does it matter! We’re all in the same class!”

However, unlike the Commoner’s thoughts, everyone is looking at us with lecherous eyes.

Eyes that seem to say, ‘Isn’t it something like that?’

I tried to deny it, but she didn’t give me a chance to deny it and grabbed my hand and dragged me away.

    Ernia is wary of her.

“You, if you try anything with Aris, I won’t let you get away with it.”

    “It’s a misunderstanding! I didn’t do anything!”

    “Ha! Men all say that.”

Have I ever felt so wronged in my life?

I can say with certainty that I haven’t.
