Chapter 56: Helper (1)
by Afuhfuihgs“Ugh…”
I stretched, and my body, stiff from sitting all night, let out a groan of pain. Born a woman, I thought I was naturally flexible, but lately, sitting in front of the computer all the time has made my body feel increasingly rigid.
‘I slept well for once.’
I couldn’t remember the last time I slept so soundly. Was it after we were promoted to the LCK, or perhaps when I first debuted in CK?
It was surprising that it hadn’t even been a full year.
‘…I need to get myself together.’
I went to the bathroom and turned on the faucet. The cold water jolted me awake as soon as it touched my skin.
After a quick wash, I went out to the living room, where I saw a note and some food left by my mother on the table. It was a sandwich, our household staple, because it doesn’t taste much different even when cold.
Both my father and I tended to eat cold food without complaint.
‘Did Dad already leave?’
I picked up a sandwich from the plate, which had a couple missing, rather than being full, and took a bite.
Today’s sandwich was also perfectly balanced in flavor.
Beautiful, a great cook, and a successful career. I tried to think of something my mother lacked, but nothing came to mind.
Perhaps being a bit of a doting mother?
But that was only an inconvenience to me; many people told me it was a positive trait.
Perhaps because I wasn’t fully awake yet, I finished my meal with thoughts I wouldn’t normally entertain.
After cleaning up, I went back to my room and turned on the computer. It was still only 11 AM.
There was quite a bit of time left before my appointment.
‘My appointment with Han Byul-i is at 5 PM…’
I had almost six hours to spare. When I went to the team house, I never had any free time because of scrim practice and helping my teammates, so I hadn’t realized.
After spending about ten years as a student, it was surprising how little there was to do without school.
After a moment of contemplation, I launched the League of Legends client.
‘I should play some solo queue.’
As I launched the client, I also started my streaming software.
I had announced that I would start streaming at 4 PM, but since it was just a solo queue stream, I didn’t give it much thought and started early. If it was boring, viewers could always come back later.
[ON AIR] – para (Solo Queue until 4 PM)
Legend of Legends
After setting the stream title to indicate it was a solo queue stream, I started queuing. Some time passed.
[?]
[Surprise Stream]
[Surprise stream, what?]
[Seo-ha~]
[SH~]
[How can someone’s name be Seo-ha~]
‘What’s going on?’
It was morning, and since it was a no-cam solo queue stream, I thought 1000 viewers would be a lot.
Nevertheless, the current viewership was close to 4000.
“More people are watching than I expected for this time of day.”
[Morning?]
[For us, it’s almost time to sleep…?]
[Who are we? People living on London time.]
[I woke up at a normal time today specifically to watch the collab stream. How about that?]
Judging from the chat, they seemed to have pulled an all-nighter. Or maybe they were just watching while slacking off at work.
[Why no cam today?]
[Seriously]
[No-cam Para stream? This is basically a Han Byul-i stream without League.]
[For real]
[Turn on cam Turn on cam Turn on cam Turn on cam Turn on cam Turn on cam Turn on cam]
[Please turn on your cam ㅠㅠㅠㅠ My daughter loves you.]
“I’ll turn on the camera later, when Han Byul-i gets here.”
[Let the streamer do what they want ;;]
[Just ban all the simps and play solo queue]
[What rank is the streamer right now?]
[It probably isn’t that high since the league hasn’t ended yet.]
[But the streamer does play solo queue often.]
{User ㅇㅇ donated 1000 won}
Streamer, is it okay to stream during the tournament?
[That’s true]
[We like it, but…]
[Shouldn’t you be practicing??]
“Ah, you don’t have to worry about that.”
Today was right after the end of the regular season, and the coach had suggested we take a day off, so everyone was resting. Since our matches wouldn’t start until Round 2, we had ten days to spare.
“And since Han Byul-i has been cheering for our team, I’m planning a duo stream with her today.”
[Han Byul-i’s tier in real-time: Diamond 2 60 LP]
[She’s stubbornly holding onto Diamond 2 ㄷㄷ]
[Legendary diving lol]
.
.
.
“So, I’ll end solo queue here.”
I checked the time, and it was already 5 PM. The game I thought would end quickly went on for an hour, almost making me late.
I hurriedly created a lobby and invited Han Byul-i, who was on my friends list. She accepted the invitation immediately and started a Discord call.
“Aren’t you too late?”
“It took longer than I thought. I’m sorry.”
“I’m just kidding. Let’s hurry up and queue. I really need to get to Master today.”
[Han Byul-i… Master?]
[That’s impossible lol.]
[Hey now, this is the top lane Grandmaster mid laner, Han Byul-i.]
[Top lane Grandmaster (duos with the #1 LCK POG ranked mid laner)]
[Ah lol If I duoed with the #1 regular season mid laner, I’d reach Grandmaster too.]
[ㄴ That’s a bit…]
[ㄴ For real…]
“The playoffs start next week, right?”
“That’s right.”
Han Byul-i asked me while we were queuing. Since she said she’d be doing cheering streams for the playoffs as well, she wasn’t asking because she didn’t know; it seemed like she was just trying to kill time. In that case…
“Do you think we’ll win?”
“Isn’t that obvious?”
“Round 3 and the finals too?”
“Of course. ARK is the current #1 team in the LCK.”
Han Byul-i answered my somewhat sensitive question without hesitation. Knowing her personality, she truly believed that.
Feeling a sense of gratitude, I clicked the accept button for the queue that had just popped up.
“Why are you queuing for top lane?”
“There’s something I want to try in top lane.”
“Are you sure it’s okay not to ban K’Sante?”
“I intentionally left him open.”
Since K’Sante wasn’t banned, the opponent first-picked him. Following that, my choice was Aatrox. Han Byul-i, as expected, picked Zoe.
“Do you know my Zoe win rate has gone up since I learned from you last time?”
“It went up? But why are you still Diamond 2…”
“That’s because I get targeted more now!”
[The targeted excuse is valid though.]
[Let’s go with that lol.]
[I was originally Diamond 1 lol…]
[Han Byul-i, according to herself: her true skill level is high Master.]
[ㄴ…?]
[ㄴ That’s a bit…]
“Don’t say that, Unni. Honestly, Diamond is pretty good.”
[Para officially confirms Han Byul-i is indeed Diamond (no fabrication)]
[Well, if the #1 LCK regular season POG says so, then it must be true lol.]
[I agree.]
TOP: Aatrox
JG: Lee Sin
MID: Zoe
ADC: Kaisa
SUP: Nautilus
VS
TOP: K’Sante
JG: Lillia
MID: Yasuo
ADC: Varus
SUP: Karma
As the game started and I looked at the overall team composition, I felt optimistic. What I was going to try this time was Lethality Aatrox. If I remembered correctly, building the lethality items that were buffed in this patch was supposed to be incredibly strong.
‘I should try it before recommending it.’
Since laning phase was the priority, I watched over my red buff and headed to lane as the minions spawned. Aatrox was considered weak in the laning phase before maxing his Q, so I played passively and focused on farming.
Around level 3, I noticed something strange.
‘K’Sante’s movements are odd.’
It felt like he was reacting to my abilities after they were cast, rather than predicting and dodging them.
I had checked his rank earlier, and he was Grandmaster, which meant he was skilled. But was it possible for someone to have that kind of reaction time at Grandmaster?
It was strange, but there was always the possibility of hidden talent, so I continued playing.
Then came level 6. I made a mistake and got hit by K’Sante’s Q, and he tried to all-in me.
I was left with 30% health, but K’Sante’s main abilities were skillshots.
[Wow]
[He’s dodging all the Qs]
[How did he dodge the W?]
With Aatrox’s movement speed after activating his ultimate, I could dodge everything. Having avoided his engage, it was my turn.
Q cooldown finished, followed by W. K’Sante had just used his W, so he couldn’t react and was pulled in. He flashed to avoid my third Q, but…
“Got top.”
I followed up with E and Flash to secure the kill.

Title: Para and Han Byul-i duo queue up against a hacker
(Picture of KR1022’s match history)
This guy occasionally snipes high-elo streamers. His match history is usually like this, but he goes god-mode when he meets streamers.
And he plays incredibly well against pros, but then his match history tanks again when he plays alone.
ㄴ He’s famous lol
ㄴ Turns on hacks when he meets pros or streamers, turns them off otherwise.
ㄴ And when his rank drops, he uses hacks to climb again.
ㄴ Why doesn’t Riot ban him?
ㄴ Small company, only bans for verbal abuse lol
ㄴ It’s amazing how they only ban for toxicity but not for trolling or hacking lol

Title: Para solo kills hacker in real time
(Aatrox dodging K’Sante’s Q and W with movement after K’Sante ults)
(Aatrox catching the flashing K’Sante with QE-Flash combo)
Just insane mechanics lol
ㄴ How to beat a hacker: Be better than the hacks.
ㄴ Is this the #1 LCK mid laner?
ㄴ Wow… the first gif feels like hitting a wall.
ㄴ Emperor Para educating the hacker lol.
ㄴ But why is she building Blade of the Ruined King?
ㄴ Probably because it got buffed this patch.
