    Chapter 11: ON AIR

    Appetite, sleep, and sexual desire.

These three are often referred to as the three basic human needs.

There’s actually no scientific basis for it, but the reason these three are grouped together is simple.

Most people find these three desires the most difficult to resist.

What kind of person would disturb one of those, sleep?

I struggled to open my eyelids and looked up.

    ‘She’s pretty.’

Being reborn with this face had raised my standards for beauty quite a bit.

Even to me, this was a very pretty student.

Her phone, which she held out to me, was playing the broadcast I did with Han Byeo-ri a few days ago.

    “…That’s me.”

“Wow! There were no girls in our school who played LOL or watched LCK!”

At my answer, the girl jumped up from her seat.

She was the kind of person who could lift anyone’s spirits, whatever it was.

If only I wasn’t so sleepy, I wouldn’t have minded meeting her.

“Uh, uh? Why are you going back to sleep? I have so many questions.”

If someone had woken me up so persistently in my past life?

With my temper back then, I would have had a big fight.

But after becoming a girl and going back to school, I realized that teenagers were often immature in many ways.

    “I’m sleepy, come back later.”

“Ah, I woke you up when you were sleeping… I’m sorry!”

She at least had some conscience, apologizing to me and leaving the classroom.

Did she come all the way here even though she’s from another class?

She was a remarkable person in many ways.

    ‘…I’m awake now.’

I tried to go back to sleep, but once I was awake, I couldn’t fall asleep.

    ****

    “Shall we go eat?”

As soon as the 4th period ended and the teacher left, someone came running into the classroom.

    ‘Is it her again?’

It was the girl who woke me up in the morning.

Maybe it was because she was running, but her hair was all messed up.

It’s amazing how she’s still pretty.

I could understand a little how others felt when they looked at me.

“Are you going to eat? Let’s eat together!”

    “Well, I am but…”

When I looked at my friends who I usually ate with, they waved their hands, saying they didn’t mind.

    “Then let’s go!”

    “Okay.”

I wasn’t a teenager full of emotions, so I didn’t really care who I ate with.

As I followed the girl in front of me, I noticed something strange.

“This isn’t the way to the cafeteria, is it?”

The cafeteria was on the first floor, but the girl brought me to the fourth floor.

    “I eat here.”

We arrived at the science lab.

“I’m picky about food, so I eat separately.”

The girl opened the door, took out a lunchbox bag she had hidden behind her back, and shook it.

“Is it okay to use this place as we please?”

“My homeroom teacher is the science teacher, so I always eat here.”

She naturally sat at an empty table and took out the lunchboxes one by one.

Looking at the contents, it was all vegetables.

    Can’t she eat meat?

“I prepared yours too today, let’s eat together.”

It was too late to just leave, so I sat down and opened the lunchbox she pushed towards me.

    “Huh?”

“What do you take me for? Of course, I’m considerate of the people who eat with me.”

Unlike hers, my lunchbox was a normal lunchbox.

It was even a bit fancy.

    “Let’s eat.”

    “Let’s eat.”

Even though she brought me here, the girl ate without saying a word.

Was she the type to not talk while eating, like me?

After we silently finished our lunchboxes, she finally spoke.

“Oh right. I didn’t tell you my name. It’s Choi Eun-seo, from class 5.”

    “I’m Yoon Seo-ha.”

In the awkward atmosphere, I shook the hand Choi Eun-seo held out.

I thought my body temperature was quite low, but her hand was as cold as ice.

“Do you have a favorite team?”

    “Team?”

“You said you watched LCK on Han Byeo-ri’s stream.”

    “My favorite team… is.”

“Ah, not just LCK, but also LPL or LEC!”

    My favorite team.

    “I like ARK.”

“ARK? Didn’t their roster get blown up this time?”

    Roster blow-up.

In soccer or baseball, it was an issue that could cause fans to set fire to the stadium, but in esports, it was common.

The player lifespan was only about 5 years, so it was common for players to transfer every year.

And this kind of roster blow-up happened more often to teams with less capital.

‘ARK is the poorest of the poor.’

ARK was a team famous for being poor in the LCK.

Even in my past life, I took a pay cut of more than half to keep the roster.

So, the reason why I could say I liked it.

    ‘Memories.’

There might be some rose-tinted glasses, but I enjoyed my time at ARK in my past life.

My first finals, and various international tournaments.

    It was a bit bittersweet that I was a 10-time runner-up, though.

    “Their logo is cool.”

“That’s true, and ARK also has good uniforms.”

Of course, I made up a suitable excuse for Choi Eun-seo.

Actually, I got TS’d and I was an ARK pro gamer in my past life.

If I said that, she would just think I was crazy.

“And one more question. Are you really going pro?”

    “I am.”

“Really? Which team? Are you going to ARK?”

Choi Eun-seo kept me in the science lab until the end of lunch, asking so many questions.

‘It reminds me of back then.’

I remembered an interview I had with a reporter in my past life.

She also seemed to like the game itself, even though she was a woman.

I kept seeing similarities between Choi Eun-seo and her.

    ‘It must be my imagination.’

    ****

“I’m really going to be number one today.”

As soon as I got home from the academy, I sat in front of the computer.

It was 9 PM now, and if I slept at 1 AM, I could play about 6 games.

    ‘The number one score is…’

I went to the match history site and entered the ranking tab.

The number one rank was Challenger 1020 points, 80 points higher than my current score of 940 points.

Maybe it was because it was right before the end of the season, but even though it was only an 80-point difference, there were over 20 people in between.

    ‘They changed the season weirdly.’

It was a patch that Riot was being criticized for this season.

They usually ended the season at the end of the year, but they extended it to January of the following year.

They said something like giving pro gamers a chance to challenge the rankings.

Anyway, the developers were not helpful.

    ‘Ah.’

Before starting the game, I had something to prepare.

    The stream.

There was the suggestion Han Byeo-ri made after the last collaboration, and there seemed to be no harm in starting a stream.

‘The internet broadcast fandom is quite large.’

I didn’t know how many would gather, but I needed to gather fans from now on.

In esports, where the individual fandom of a player is very important, securing individual fans was not an option but a necessity.

‘Because sponsors come in if you have a lot of fans.’

And I didn’t know which team I would go to in the future, but I wanted to create an environment where I could focus more on the game than in my past life.

If possible, I wanted to have a good dorm and good facilities.

    ‘Was this the setting…?’

For now, I downloaded and set up a free streaming program.

I didn’t know in my past life because my manager did everything, but there was a lot to do.

    Also, I needed a microphone.

‘I guess I can use the one on the headset.’

    I forgot to buy one.

For now, I finished the settings with the microphone on the headset and started the stream.

[ON AIR] – Para (Challenger 1st place run)

    League of Legends

    Viewers-0

As expected, the viewers didn’t skyrocket from the beginning.

When I played the game with the title of a pro gamer in my past life, I had about 500 viewers, so it would be a success if even one person came today.

    ‘Let’s just play the game.’

The important thing was to reach number one.

If I reached number one and changed my nickname, there would be an influx of viewers.

    [Game found]

Maybe it was because I was in the very top tier, but the atmosphere in every game was peaceful.

    Some of them recognized me.

    [ApheliosUltiCoolBuffPlz(Aphelios): Oh, it’s Para]

    [SupportOnly(Thresh): Who’s that?]

[ApheliosUltiCoolBuffPlz(Aphelios): The person who was on Han Byeo-ri’s Master Invitation]

    [SupportOnly(Thresh): Ah]

It was amazing that someone recognized me in-game even though I wasn’t a pro yet.

And like the peaceful game atmosphere, I won two games in a row.

I got 28 points twice, so I had 25 points left to reach number one.

Judging by my MMR, I could reach number one if I won one more game.

‘I wonder if any viewers came.’

I hadn’t been able to check the room properly because I played two games in a row.

I hoped that at least one viewer had come in, and I brought the stream screen to the main.

    “What the…”

[Left alone LOL Left alone LOL Left alone LOL]

[Streamer, open the door Streamer, open the door Streamer, open the door Streamer, open the door]

    [I’m cold… I’m cold… I’m cold… I’m cold…]

[Why is this person only playing solo queue after turning on the stream? Why is this person only playing solo queue after turning on the stream?]

[She only needs to win one more game to be number one?]

    [Crazy]

[Is she not going to turn on the cam?]

[Her looks are too good to be a pro gamer… but her skills are too good to just be a streamer…]
