    Chapter 26 : Reunion(1)

The next day at dawn, I handed Hye-won a hangover cure as she grumbled about not wanting to wake up.

“My head feels like it’s going to break… Do we really have to go out right now?”

“Hey… Aren’t you supposed to be a prisoner right now? Can you really act like that?”

“Ugh… Then at least tell me why you’re being so busy from the morning.”

“I’ll explain on the way, so get up first. Before I drag you out by force.”

Only after I drew a magic circle as a last resort did Hye-won get up from her seat. She wobbled and finished a simple wash with her life skills,

    and soon she was ready.

Instead of the front door, I came out to the veranda window, cast the <Flight> magic, and soared into the sky.

The distance to my family’s house, which I had been told over the phone, was a three or four-hour drive by car, but with <Flight> magic, I

could go straight to my destination without being restricted by the road, so it seemed like I could arrive within a few tens of minutes.

“If there’s anything to worry about… it’s whether I can control it properly.”

In the game, the average speed that a level 150 mage could achieve with <Flight> was similar to that of a monster called a ‘Wyvern.’ And in

the official game setting book, the flight speed of this Wyvern was about 200km per hour.

‘So the speed I can achieve must be around 200km per hour…’

200km per hour. Although I only had a paper driver’s license, I had driven a car from time to time in the past. But even then, I had rarely

driven over three digits, and I had never stepped on it enough to change the first digit of the three digits in my life.

Still, I was confident in handling magic, so it seemed okay, but if I made a mistake and crashed into a building, it would be a major accident.

Even if Hye-won and I were fine because we had a mana shield directly on us, a claim for damages would come in. If someone got hurt, my

face could be hung up and I could become a wanted target like some criminal users.

    “Ugh… Oh well, whatever.”

I couldn’t be bothered to think more. It was from the naive thought that I could somehow solve everything with magic.

I roughly increased the speed to the maximum and began to fly towards the destination indicated by my phone.

“So, what’s the reason for leaving the house so busily from the morning? I can hear it now, right?”

I felt like hitting Hye-won’s pouting lips, who was grumbling. I could subject her to all sorts of hardships right now if I wanted to, so what

was she being so brave about?

‘Or does she rather want to be subjected to hardships?’

Actually, she was a succubus, so she might be hoping for that kind of thing from me. She had even taken off her clothes yesterday to seduce

    me.

Of course, it was a meaningless assumption since we would have to part ways soon.

“You’re going to do what you wanted.”

    “What I wanted?”

“I’m saying I’m going to release you. But it might be a little different from the way you thought.”

    “Uh… what does that mean?”

I explained the whole story to her, who was tilting her head as if she couldn’t grasp it at all.

I left out the story about my family’s circumstances, and finished the story about my older sister being caught by [Hell Korea] users and

exchanging the two people in the form of a hostage exchange.

When I looked at her, thinking that everything had been explained by now, Hye-won’s face was somehow pale.

“Why? Is there something you’re worried about?”

“Well, that hostage exchange… might not work out so well.”

“What? Why? You’re a pretty valuable combatant. If we exchange you for my sister, who is an ordinary person, wouldn’t that be a win for

    them too?”

Reflecting her anxious mental state, Hye-won suddenly began to bite her nails.

“First of all, the users of the guild [Hell Korea], which I used to belong to, are very aggressive and antisocial, so they are very hostile to

moderate and moderate users. They don’t attack first because it’s annoying to antagonize other users, but it’s likely that they won’t even try to

talk. There’s a high chance they won’t even come to the negotiating table.”

After leaving those words, Hye-won, who had been keeping her mouth shut, belatedly added an explanation.

“Above all, Winter’s sister… or, did you say older sister? I don’t know what kind of situation she’s in now…”

She deliberately blurred the end of her words and didn’t give a detailed explanation for me, but I wasn’t stupid enough not to know what it

    meant.

    “…I need to go faster.”

I forcibly pulled out my magic power and increased the speed of <Flight>, and wondered what to do with Hye-won.

    “So, you’re useless for now.”

“That’s right. Did you finally decide to release me?”

“No. Not at all. What if you become a threat? Why would I let you go?”

    “Hing.”

Hye-won even made a sobbing sound on purpose at my firm answer, but such a simple act couldn’t work on me. I rested my chin on my hand

and pondered, and suddenly remembered one person. She would be able to take good care of Hye-won without her running away.

“Should I leave her to Ye-jin?”

The moment she heard that sound, Hye-won’s movement stopped with a thud. Her two hands, which were acting like they were wiping away

tears, froze, and the pupils that could be seen through the gaps in her hands began to shake from time to time.

“…I’m sorry. I’ll do anything. Please just order me. I’ll lick your feet right now if you tell me to… please, not just to that person…”

“Okay. I’ll just leave you at home, so take care of my family. If you betray me… you know, right?”

I picked up my phone and showed her the screen with the contact information of a specific person. It must be my imagination that her eyes,

which contained the two letters ‘Ye-jin’, were watery.

I turned my attention away from Hye-won, who was quickly nodding her head, and calmly calmed my mind.

If the hostage exchange doesn’t solve the situation, I can come up with another method. I already had a second method in mind.

Among the information about [Hell Korea] that I found while browsing the Internet, I heard that there was an ‘Ogre with rainbow-colored

    horns’ among the executives.

As far as I knew, there was only one show-off with horns of that crazy color.

    Park Woo-jin.

A friend who I often contacted after my body changed like this, and one of my colleagues who I raided with in the game.

I don’t know why, but I haven’t been able to get in touch with him since Awakening in the status window, so I thought something was wrong,

but to think he would be in [Hell Korea].

It was completely unexpected, but thanks to that, it was a good thing for protecting my sister’s safety. From what I remember, Park Woo-jin

was one of the guys I got along with the most.

And, the meeting with that old friend that I was secretly looking forward to,

It was done in the worst way.
