Chapter Index

Despite the various events that occurred during the entrance exam, both Ethan and I successfully enrolled in the swordsmanship and magic departments of the academy.

We also confirmed that the key members of the swordsmanship and magic departments had passed the academy entrance exam.

Since we couldn’t wait for the remaining entrance exams that lasted over a week, we could only confirm that Ethan and I had applied for these two departments.

And among the characters we confirmed, the one that troubled me the most was undoubtedly the protagonist’s name.

    Gyetmyeojosyegikwat Bolt.

Just thinking about it made me feel like my mental strength was being drained by such a shocking name.

Anyone would think that the name seemed like it was hastily put together on a keyboard.

Of course, even if a hero goes around with a name that is difficult for anyone to pronounce, it wouldn’t affect the game called “Luminor Academy.”

It would simply be a matter of whether the player could immerse themselves more in the game or just play it casually.

And Gyetmye… Anyway, that kid’s name definitely leaned towards the latter.

Of course, if you were really controlling the protagonist character like in a game, it wouldn’t matter what name you gave them. It wouldn’t make a difference.

But even if it was hard to believe, this world I was currently living in was undeniably real, and I couldn’t trust a hero who named themselves like that.

Well, whether I could trust a hero or not, the world would continue as it was, and the residents of this world would treat a hero with a strange name just like any other ordinary hero.

And I, as a human-like possessor, had to respond as normally as possible when facing that hero.

Because I was certain in my heart that being entangled with such a person would undoubtedly lead to a bad outcome.

“Gyetmyeojosyegikwat Bolt. Gyetmyeojosyegikwat Bolt. Gyetmye…ge, Gyetmyeojosyegikwat Bolt….”

If I even mispronounced it, there would definitely be suspicions.

Even though the protagonist’s name was strangely made, it was treated as a normal name in “Luminor Academy,” so stumbling while pronouncing it could be dangerous.

From today onwards, I had to firmly remember that I had to start heading to the academy.

    “…Gyetmyeojosyegikwat Bolt. Alright.”

With this, my plan to not get entangled with the protagonist was somewhat complete. I had to respond normally even if I met them while pretending to be a “foolish maid release.”

And if by any chance I started to get entangled with Ethan in a strange way, I had to block that part.

I had already prepared all the necessary clothes, supplies, learning tools, emergency funds, and items needed for maid duties for the next four months at the academy.

Now it was time to board the carriage heading towards Luminor Academy.

To enter the second part of the story, which could be considered the main part of the game “Luminor Academy: Age of Swords and Magic.”

    ***

As mentioned before, the main story of Luminor Academy is divided into five parts.

Excluding the prologue and epilogue, which can be seen as the first and fifth parts, the actual main part of the game starts from the second part, where we enter the academy.

Therefore, from today, when Ethan and I set off to the Knowledge Island, it could also be said that we were entering the main part of “Luminor Academy.”

It might feel a bit unfair to have to return to the academy so soon after taking the entrance exam at Knowledge Island, but Blackwood Territory was relatively better off.

Nobles with territories at the northern or eastern ends, or commoners who couldn’t easily find carriages, had to wait in the dormitories at Knowledge Island without moving until they took the entrance exam and enrolled in the academy.

Being close to Knowledge Island was an advantage in times like these for Blackwood Territory.

    “Are you ready, maid?”

“Yes, my lord. However, I recommend checking your luggage once more before departure in case I missed anything important.”

“I checked it last night. And the only important things are the academy uniform and sword, so if needed, you can buy them there for daily use.”

“Understood, my lord. Isabelle is already downstairs loading the luggage at the entrance of the mansion, so you just need to get ready now.”

“Alright, then let’s depart. If we leave late by mistake, we might have to camp out in the middle of the travel road for a night.”

…I don’t really like camping events because there’s a high chance of thieves appearing.

As Edan said, it seemed like it would be better to depart as soon as possible in many ways. If we really come across thieves or something, it would be quite unsettling in many ways.

After packing his belongings to stay at the academy for the next few months, Edan passed through the central staircase of the mansion and ran to the entrance of Blackwood Mansion.

There, we could meet the servants of the Blackwood family who had gathered to see off Edan, me, and Isabelle.

“Have a safe journey, Master Edan.”

“Yes. Please take good care of the mansion for a while, Dieter.”

“Don’t worry. I will manage the mansion thoroughly so that I can welcome Master and Madam back whenever they return.”

“Lilith Rosewood, Isabelle Grace. Since Edan Master’s supervision is your duty, both of you should not forget the responsibilities of the maids.”

    “Yes, Head Maid.”

“Especially Lilith Rosewood. Although Lilith has become a noble lady of the Blackwood family, she should still do her best in the role of Edan Master’s exclusive maid. I hope that Lilith will give her best as a full-time maid before being a noble lady.”

“You don’t have to worry, Head Maid.”

    “…If you don’t worry, then I won’t worry either.”

…Well, in many ways, I owe a lot to Head Maid Melissa.

And since becoming a noble lady, she was one of the few people who treated me as before without any hesitation.

To be honest, it didn’t feel good to be called a lady by other servants while wearing the same maid uniform. Instead, I was more grateful for the consistent attitude of the Head Maid or Dieter.

Isabelle and Katarina, who still consider me a friend and colleague.

    “Take care, Miss Lilith…!”

    “Yes, Senior Katarina.”

“And Isabelle too… Take care of Master Edan and Miss Lilith…”

    “Yes, Senior Katarina!”

After the farewell from the Head Maid, Katarina approached me and Isabelle, offering her farewell greetings.

Today, this pitiful crybaby maid’s face felt even more pitiful.

“I, I’m grateful for spending time with a poor maid like me for years… If it weren’t for Lilith and Isabelle, I would have been bullied by Aeria and Alicia for the rest of my life…”

“Poor maid like you, Senior Katarina. Both Lilith and I don’t think of you as a poor maid.”

“…No, it’s not like we’re parting forever. After the first semester ends, we’ll be back at the mansion for summer vacation. Why are you crying as if we’re parting forever?”

“But still… We’ve been working hard because of the two of you… If both of you suddenly leave for the academy… Huhuhu…”

    “Sigh…”

    “Don’t cry, Senior. Sniff!”

Perhaps because we had once worked together as junior maids, Katarina couldn’t easily let go of me and Isabelle.

Unlike ten days ago when she sent me off alone, she seemed more emotional now that she was sending off Isabelle as well.

In 2-3 years, Katarina would also join the ranks of senior maids, but I wonder if it’s okay to promote such a delicate girl to a senior maid of a noble family.

Although her working speed and skills were still the fastest and most reliable among the three of us.

Thanks to Isabelle’s well-mannered and gentle nature, Katarina was able to hold back her tears and see us off with a smile.

After exchanging farewells, Edan, Isabelle, and I finally boarded the carriage heading to the academy.

    “Are the farewells over?”

“Yes. I apologize for keeping you waiting, Master.”

“No, we should have plenty of conversations for the next three months when we’re apart.”

“That’s true, but it’s better to depart before it gets any later.”

“Yes, Maid. And Isabelle, hurry and get on the carriage.”

    “Yes, Master Edan!”

Isabelle, who looked unusually happy, got on the carriage behind Edan and me. Visiting the academy as my exclusive maid seemed quite enjoyable for her.

Well, as a commoner, she wouldn’t have many opportunities to visit the academy even as an exclusive maid, so it’s understandable that she was so happy.

Harold didn’t come to see my son off for a simple reason. While Ethan and I were off to take the entrance exam at the academy, Harold had left for an external engagement and hadn’t returned yet.

Thanks to that, the final confrontation between Ethan and Harold ended up being unresolved, and naturally, there was no touching moment for Ethan, who emerged victorious in the confrontation with Harold.

In the end, Harold hadn’t returned to the mansion until today, the day we set off for the academy again, so it’s safe to say that there won’t be any touching moments for Ethan for at least the next 3 to 4 months.

If Ethan were to propose any conditions to me to allow for such a touching moment again, or even suggest any other conditions, I would firmly reject them.

The days of whining in front of this guy once every two weeks are now over. At least during the academy semester.

As I pondered this after getting on the carriage, the carriage with the emblem of the Blackwood family departed along with the sound of the horse’s hooves.

The carriage, carrying three people – one new student in the swordsmanship department of Luminaire Academy, one maid dedicated to looking after the young lady who entered the academy, and a peculiar individual like myself who is a new student in the academy’s magic department and also the young master’s personal maid – moved along the southwest road.

To Luminaire Academy, where both expected and unexpected encounters awaited.
