Seeing the people shivering naked, my heart ached.
I needed to reassure them first.
-Snap!
I snapped my fingers again, neatly clearing the Goblin corpses to one side.
“Don’t worry. I’m here to rescue you.”
“S-Spare our lives…?”
The two women widened their eyes, seemingly not expecting those words to come from me.
Did I really look like a bad person? That couldn’t be…
I approached the taller of the two women and placed my index finger on her lips.
“But this stays a secret. If I hear any rumors about what I did…”
They nodded their heads up and down quickly.
Should I place a Geas on them, just in case?
I hesitated, bringing my hand close to their heads.
‘No, don’t.’
I stopped myself.
They didn’t seem like the type to do something foolish enough to ignore my warning.
Now that the situation was somewhat settled, I quickly untied the ropes binding them.
I was about to help them up, seeing how exhausted they looked, but… I stopped.
They were much dirtier than I thought.
Their bodies were covered in Goblin semen. It even looked like their bellies were slightly swollen from how much the Goblins had ejaculated inside them for breeding purposes.
“Let me clean you up a bit.”
I snapped my fingers, cleaning their bodies. I also added a spell to clear their minds, as they must have been through a lot mentally.
The light in the women’s eyes, which had been fading, returned, albeit slightly.
‘Ah, I almost forgot the most important thing.’
I nearly forgot the most important part.
-Whoosh.
“I’ve also cast Contraception Magic on you. You don’t have to worry about getting pregnant.”
“T-Thank you!”
Now that they were clean, they were quite pretty.
One had rather large breasts, and the other had cute ones. I could sense mana from their chests, so they both seemed to be mages.
Since they were naked, I naturally ended up evaluating their figures rather than their faces. Come to think of it, they looked somewhat alike.
After staring for a while, they seemed embarrassed by my gaze and covered their bodies.
“Ugh…”
“U-Um…”
“Ah, sorry.”
I guess I was admiring them too intently. Somehow, it had become a habit to naturally assess men’s lower bodies and women’s chests.
‘I should get them something to wear.’
I opened my subspace pocket and took out some clothes. I kept one set for myself and handed the spare clothes to them.
“Here, wear these. They might not fit perfectly.”
“T-Thank you!”
“So, what are your names? Did you two take on this request together?”
The woman with the larger breasts answered my question.
“I’m Emil. This is Ena. We’re sisters.”
I suspected they were sisters, given how similar they looked. For a family to suffer such a fate near the city, they were incredibly unlucky.
“And there was Ras, who was in charge of the vanguard, but… sob…”
There was no one else in the cave. Then Ras must have been killed by the Goblin Shaman.
Losing a comrade was always heartbreaking. But I couldn’t bring the dead back to life.
“Emil, Ena? It looks like things are settled here, so let’s head back to the city.”
They must have been mentally exhausted from being raped by the Goblins, but it would be best for them to leave this place quickly.
I led them out of the cave and started walking towards the city.
I walked slowly, considerate of those following behind, and stopped in front of the cave where I had stayed last night.
I needed to take care of the remaining traces.
“Is something wrong?”
They looked uneasy at my sudden stop. It was an unnecessary worry, but I understood their state of mind.
“Wait here for a moment.”
I had them wait for a while before entering the cave.
-Buzzing.
Bugs were swarming over the corpses of the adventurers, which were starting to decompose. It was a fitting end for criminals.
“Thank you, everyone. Even if it was just for a little while.”
-Whoosh!
I burned the fallen corpses and erased the traces.
They didn’t have the sense to tip, but they were good people to use as a masturbatory tool for a day.
I came out of the cave and spoke to the sisters, who were looking uneasy.
“Okay, shall we go back to the city now?”
**
“Okay, we’re inside the Veil now, so it’s safe.”
As soon as they passed through the city gates and entered the city, they seemed to relax completely, as if relieved.
“Haa…”
“Thank goodness…”
“Are you feeling a little better now?”
“Yes!”
“Then let’s go to the Adventurer Guild together.”
-Jingle jingle.
As soon as I entered the Adventurer Guild, Boris looked at me with a surprised expression. Then, as I approached, he sighed.
“Why are you sighing as soon as I arrive?”
“I was worried about you. Considering the distance, I thought you should have been back by now, but you didn’t return.”
Had that much time already passed? I had been enjoying myself for the first time in a while, so it took longer than I thought.
I understood Boris’s concern, as it was quite a dangerous mission.
“Something came up, so it took a little longer. These two are the ones who were in the lair.”
I gestured slightly to the women behind me.
“Found in the Goblin Lair? Then you must have had a hard time.”
Boris, being an experienced adventurer, seemed to have guessed the situation from their haggard faces.
“And this.”
I held out the bundle I had been carrying around my waist and opened it. The Goblin Shaman’s head appeared.
“This is…”
“There was a Goblin Shaman in the lair.”
“So there was a variant… Reports of variants have been increasing lately. They should have decreased a lot after the war…”
“Maybe the Demon King is trying to revive.”
“Don’t make such scary jokes.”
Boris scolded me with a dumbfounded expression at the mention of the Demon King.
I resisted the urge to say, ‘It’s not a joke.’ But he probably wouldn’t believe me even if I said it.
“Are you hurt anywhere? It would have been difficult if the Goblin Shaman had ambushed you.”
“I went there knowing there might be a variant. I was prepared for it and on guard.”
“But where did your academy uniform go? Are you sure you’re not hurt?”
He looked at my changed clothes and spoke with a suspicious look.
He was quick on the uptake. Was it because he was a Gold-Rank Adventurer?
“My clothes just got torn while fighting. I’m going to buy new ones.”
“That’s a relief then. Here’s your reward.”
-Thud.
He took out a pouch from under the counter and placed it on top. I quickly picked it up and opened it, and there was quite a bit of money inside.
“Not bad, as always.”
I put the pouch in my pocket and looked at the sisters, who were standing there blankly.
“Emil, Ena?”
“Y-Yes?!”
They looked surprised and flustered at the sudden call.
“It won’t be easy for you to make a living right away, so talk to this guy. He’ll help you.”
They would probably quit being adventurers. It wouldn’t be easy to jump back into battle or adventure after what they had been through.
But since they were both mages, it wouldn’t be too difficult for them to make a living.
“I’m going to leave these two in your care. They’ve been through a lot. See you later.”
As I was about to leave after finishing the conversation, Emil thanked me.
“T-Thank you again for saving us!”
“I did it for the money. Be careful in the future.”
Because this world was still full of dangers.
‘I decided to take a break from helping others.’
But I felt a sense of satisfaction from helping others, as if my nature couldn’t be changed.
On the one hand, I decided to live a little more selfishly, but I found it a little funny that I was still living like this.
I left the Adventurer Guild, leaving Emil, Ena, and Boris behind.
-Thump.
I stopped thinking and sat down on a chair on the street. Now I had to start preparing to go to the academy.
‘I have to buy a new uniform, review my plans, and there’s a lot to do.’
Then I suddenly remembered something I had forgotten.
“I need to go see Jade first.”
It was the most important thing, and it could be a big problem if I forgot.
I needed to meet with Jade regularly for the perfect success of my plan.
“Let’s go.”
I turned and headed towards the forest behind the academy.
**
The forest behind the academy was dark in the evening, but the moonlight shining through the dense trees illuminated the open space.
Whoosh—
Whoosh—
Swish—
In the quiet forest, only the sounds of insects and Jade swinging his sword fiercely could be heard.
He had been training for quite a while, as sweat was running down his cheeks.
After a while, Jade stopped swinging his sword and took a stance.
“Hoo…”
He took a few deep breaths and began to concentrate. Then, mana gathered around the sword.
-Whoosh.
But it was a ridiculously small amount to call it gathered. It was barely enough to reach the level of a ‘3-Star,’ which was low for an academy student.
Nevertheless, he didn’t give up and poured mana from his body for a long time, finally succeeding in filling the entire sword with mana.
The sword trembled as it was filled with mana.
Jade tilted the sword to the side and swung it towards the side of the tree in front of him.
-Thwack!
The sword, which had been cutting into the tree as if to cut it in half in one go,
-Screech.
Got stuck and stopped halfway through the tree.
“Ha, I guess it’s not working…”
Jade was disappointed with the pathetic result and put down his sword, lying down on the ground.
-Thud!
“Hoo, haa…”
Jade took a deep breath and rested for a while. He was already too exhausted from the continuous practice.
Then.
‘…Bright.’
The round, yellow moon in the sky came into his view.
Jade looked at it and lamented his cursed talent.
‘Why don’t I have any talent? If I had just a little more talent for mana…’
Jade had worked as hard as anyone else, both before and after entering the academy.
But his cursed mana talent was not something that could be overcome with training.
The result of his grueling efforts was only the early stages of 3-Star.
-You can’t do it because you don’t have the talent.
-Why don’t you choose another path?
He had worked hard despite the words telling him to give up, but lately, his heart was wavering more and more as he saw no progress at all.
Rustle, rustle—
The sound of something cutting through the grass in the forest.
Hearing that, Jade jumped up.
‘Who would be in a place like this at this time of night…’
As he looked towards the sound, a woman slowly revealed herself.
Blonde hair and blue eyes.
It was a face that Jade knew well.
‘Le, Lena?’
It was Lena, one of Jade’s few friends.
Lena also seemed to have found Jade lying on the ground and waved to him with a happy expression.
“Jade, I knew you’d be here.”
“Le, Lena? What are you doing here?”
Jade was startled to find Lena and quickly got up from the ground. He quickly straightened his disheveled clothes and brushed off the dust.
He couldn’t show Lena such a mess.
“I suddenly thought of you tonight… You always practice here in the evening, right?”
Lena’s face was blushing, as if she was embarrassed to have come to find him in the middle of the night.
“Y-You came to see me…?”
“Yeah. Have you been training all day again today?”
“W-Well, yeah…”
Jade couldn’t help but stutter when he stood in front of Lena.
He was constantly showing her embarrassing sides of himself, when he should be showing her his best.
But Jade couldn’t help but feel his heart flutter when he looked at Lena’s beautiful face.
“You’re working too hard. I told you to take a break.”
Lena suddenly remembered something and asked Jade.
“Can you show me what you’ve been practicing?”
“My swordsmanship? Why?”
“I’ll help you. You want to get stronger, right? Of course, I have a lot of shortcomings too…”
Jade was tempted by Lena’s words.
Sometimes Lena would help him with his swordsmanship practice, and he always felt that it helped him improve.
He even thought that it was more effective than being taught by the swordsmanship instructor at the academy.
“Okay.”
Jade drew his sword again and swung it as she told him to.
-Whoosh, whoosh.
It wasn’t flashy, but it was upright and steadfast, like his personality.
There was no wavering in his swordsmanship, showing how hard he had worked to overcome his lack of talent.
“Jade, you’re putting too much strength into every swing. How about taking a little bit of strength out and doing it like this?”
Lena drew her sword and swung it in the same way that Jade had swung his sword.
Swish! Swish—
But the sword path was much smoother and more flexible.
“How is it?”
“I’ll try it.”
‘Take out the strength…’
Jade realized that his recent pressure to get stronger had affected his swordsmanship.
He let go of his greed and erased his impatient heart.
Jade began to swing his sword with ease.
Whoosh—, Swish!
“Not bad? But…”
-Grab.
Lena suddenly grabbed Jade’s arm.
“Le, Lena?”
“Your arm posture is a little strange. Try it like this.”
As he changed his posture following her touch, he noticed a clearly different sword path.
“Really! It feels much smoother.”
“Hehe, didn’t you trust my skills? And here…”
Lena’s hand went towards Jade’s thigh.
“Wa, wait a minute!”
-Slap.
Jade was so surprised that he unknowingly shook off her hand.
“O-Oh? What’s wrong?”
“Th-That place…”
Jade felt his lower body react for a moment to her touch. It was an unavoidable male instinct.
As he glanced at Lena’s blue eyes, her eyes were clear and transparent. This proved that all of Lena’s actions were really for training and that she had no other intentions.
‘She’s clearly trying to help, but what am I…’
Jade was ashamed of himself for getting excited by her pure intentions.
“Ah, sorry! My legs are too stiff, so it hurts when I touch them…”
“What? Then you should have said so.”
Jade thought that Lena would stop if he made a rough excuse.
But Lena went further and supported Jade’s back with her arms, then slowly laid him down on the ground.
“Uh oh…?”
Then she put her hand on Jade’s leg, which was lying on the ground, and began to massage it.
-Press.
“I’ll loosen it up for you by touching it. You’ll suffer the next day if you don’t loosen it up properly.”
Jade felt his body react again to the touch of her massaging his leg.
‘Jade, you have to hold back. Please!’
If his lower body reacted… he would probably never be able to see her face again.
Jade shook his head at the scary thought.
Jade continued to try to ignore the sensation he felt in his leg. Then he met Lena’s eyes as she massaged his leg.
Sea-like clear blue eyes and her shimmering golden hair.
Her delicate face and her red lips.
Her snow-white neck and the large breasts below it.
Her figure under the moonlight was dazzlingly beautiful and enchanting.
-Thump, thump, thump
At the sight, Jade’s heart began to beat like crazy.
Lena looked at Jade with a questioning look, as he had become silent.
“Jade? Why are you suddenly…”
“Beautiful…”
“Wh-What! What suddenly?”
Lena’s face turned red at the words that came out of Jade’s mouth without thinking.
‘What did I say?!’
Jade immediately came to his senses at the sight and apologized.
“S-Sorry… Lena, you’re so beautiful…”
“Th-Thank you…?”
Under the moonlight, the two stopped talking and began to stare blankly at each other.
After a moment of silence, a strange atmosphere continued.
“”…””
The two, who had been looking at each other, began to get closer and closer—
-Flap flap!
“”!!””
