    ### The Suffering of the Commander Mo Sa-ryeong

Bi Ryu-yeon’s gaze turned sharp as an arrow and flew toward the detestable old monster on the cliff.

    “Gasp!”

Mo Sa-ryeong felt as though he had locked eyes with the young man, despite the dozens of meters between them. It felt like the young man was glaring at him from right in front of his face. It was absurd to think he had locked eyes with someone whose eyes were hidden behind his hair. Mo Sa-ryeong thought he must be ridiculous for feeling this way.

It was preposterous for someone like him, who had been through countless battles, to be intimidated by such a youngster. He was a being on a different level from such vermin. Just as Mo Sa-ryeong was trying to regain his composure, a shout filled with rage burst from Bi Ryu-yeon’s mouth.

    “How dare you!”

The sound was so immense that it shook the entire canyon. It was like the voice of a thunder god striking an anvil. Mo Sa-ryeong could feel his body trembling against his will.

    Pa-pa-pa-pat!

Bi Ryu-yeon, filled with immense anger at the audacious creature (who dared to target his Na Ye-rin, though he wasn’t sure since when she became his), leaped up.

    “How is this possible already?”

Mo Sa-ryeong was astonished. Suddenly, a figure had appeared right in front of him from the bottom of the canyon.

He had not expected that someone could close such a vast distance so quickly. At that moment, a masked figure, who seemed to be a member of the Twelve Blood Demons, blocked Bi Ryu-yeon’s path with a spear in each hand. The masked figure pointed the spear’s sharp tip toward Bi Ryu-yeon’s face and shouted.

“Stop! I am the leader of the Blood Spear Troop…”

“Move aside, you’re in the way!”

    Thud!

The masked figure, who had bravely stood in Bi Ryu-yeon’s path, couldn’t even finish his sentence before being struck in the left side of his face by Bi Ryu-yeon’s rough punch. He flew and crashed into an old tree on the right, his back bent like a shrimp and his head facing the ground in an artistic pose. His eyes rolled back, and foam bubbled from his mouth, indicating he was halfway to the brink of life and death. He had tried to impress Mo Sa-ryeong but only shortened his lifespan.

However, such trivial matters were not of any concern to Bi Ryu-yeon at the moment. The masked figure was nothing more than a fly that had gotten in his way at a critical time. His attention was entirely focused on one thing.

“He defeated the Blood Spear so effortlessly!”

Mo Sa-ryeong’s eyes filled with caution as he watched the Blood Spear fall. Even he couldn’t have subdued the spear master so easily.

    “Is it you?”

A gaze that felt like a fragment of the blazing sun flew toward him.

“And who are you? Surely, you have a name to reveal?”

“I don’t remember having a name to tell to the likes of you!”

    “The likes of me?”

Mo Sa-ryeong was taken aback. He had never been classified as “the likes of” by anyone before, not even when he first entered the martial world. No one had ever dared to call him that while he led a horde of thousands of venomous snakes.

    “You insolent brat!”

His face turned ashen, and his eyes burned with red hatred. Filled with rage, Mo Sa-ryeong raised his Ten Thousand Blood Spear high. It was reminiscent of a snake coiling up for a deadly attack.

“You’ve come to your deathbed! I’ll grant you your wish!”

He began to speak with a hissing voice, reminiscent of a snake. It was a terrifying transformation that could instill fear in others. Having lived with snakes for over a hundred years, he seemed to have assimilated their aura.

But Bi Ryu-yeon was unfazed. Instead, he was overwhelming Mo Sa-ryeong with his spirit. In the battle of wills, Mo Sa-ryeong could only talk but not act. Intimidated by Bi Ryu-yeon’s fierce gaze, he took a step back.

Then, Bi Ryu-yeon spoke in a commanding voice.

    “You have committed three crimes!”

Mo Sa-ryeong only glared at Bi Ryu-yeon without saying a word.

“First, you released those disgusting snakes to block my path!”

Bi Ryu-yeon took another step forward, causing Mo Sa-ryeong to take another step back as if to match his pace.

“Second, you vilely threatened the life of my Ye-rin, endangering her!”

Though no one had ever said Na Ye-rin was his, there seemed to be some misunderstanding.

“Third, you possess useless eyes that fail to recognize those stronger than you.”

Bi Ryu-yeon declared as he took the third step forward.

One step, two steps, three steps.

To Mo Sa-ryeong, who was gradually being approached by Bi Ryu-yeon, it was as if he were facing the angel of death. He had already lost the battle of wills before the fight even began. But he soon regained his composure.

‘Wait, what am I doing, being intimidated by a youngster?’

He must have been momentarily bewitched by something strange and monstrous. In any case, he hadn’t been in his right mind. He finally came to his senses and looked at Bi Ryu-yeon. The youngster had already come within striking distance.

However, his entire body was full of openings despite his bold words.

    “Are you done talking, brat?”

Mo Sa-ryeong said, his voice carrying the weight of years. Bi Ryu-yeon raised his finger once more and spoke.

“You’ve just committed another crime by speaking. But I’ll let it slide for now.”

“Then you have no regrets dying now! Die!”

His eyes glinted with malice, and the ground beneath Bi Ryu-yeon’s feet began to wriggle.

    “Huh?”

Suddenly, the ground turned black and surged up like a wave, engulfing Bi Ryu-yeon. What seemed like moving ground was actually a swarm of hundreds of snakes.

Even the talisman of the Black Snake Blood Net was useless at this moment. These snakes were under such powerful control that they had overcome their fear of the Black Snake Blood Net.

“Keh-heh-heh-heh! How do you like the Demon Commander’s Earth Snake Formation? Turn into a pool of blood as a penalty for ignoring me! Hah-hah-hah-hah!”

The Earth Snake Formation was an attack from the ground, unlike the Sky Snake Formation, which attacked from above. No one had ever survived its ambush. A hundred years ago, during the Blood War, it had sent five elders of the enemy Sect to the afterlife as a pool of blood.

Confirming that Bi Ryu-yeon was completely trapped in the Earth Snake Formation, Mo Sa-ryeong finally felt a sense of relief from the fear that had ensnared him.

    “Kuh-hah-hah! Kuh-hah-hah! Kuh-hah-hah-hah!”

Mo Sa-ryeong’s triumphant laughter echoed as he turned away from the black mass of snakes that had completely engulfed Bi Ryu-yeon. But his laughter didn’t last long.

    “Have you finished laughing?”

To Mo Sa-ryeong, it sounded like a voice seeping through the gates of hell. His laughter abruptly stopped, and he turned his head so sharply it seemed it might snap.

However, the deadly encirclement of the Earth Snake Formation remained unchanged. But Mo Sa-ryeong’s sharp eyes soon detected something unusual.

    There was no movement.

The mass of snakes that had been writhing like living creatures had suddenly frozen in place. Mo Sa-ryeong felt as if his blood had turned to ice. He shivered as a chill ran down his spine.

    Swoosh!

At that moment, a thin silver light slashed diagonally through the black curtain like moonlight piercing the night.

**Secret Technique of the Flying Thunder Blade**

    **Sword Qi**

**Chapter of the Silver Sword Wind Blade**

    **Silver Flash Wind**

    Shrrack!

It was as if the blade of starlight was shredding the curtain of darkness. Blood spattered, and chunks of flesh rained down like hail. Amidst the storm of falling flesh and blood, Bi Ryu-yeon stood calmly, his clothes fluttering in the wind as if nothing had happened.

A silver flash of wind swirled around Bi Ryu-yeon, cutting through everything in its path. Even the venomous snakes were no exception.

“This… this is ridiculous. How… how could this happen…?”

Mo Sa-ryeong was dumbfounded by the nightmarish reality.

“So now you’ve committed five crimes. Your sins are too great to be atoned for by death alone. Unfortunately, your peaceful death has been postponed.”

Bi Ryu-yeon’s voice remained low, calm, and composed. But to Mo Sa-ryeong, it was like the reading of a death sentence by the king of the underworld.

    “Ugh… ugh…”

Terrified by Bi Ryu-yeon’s overwhelming aura, Mo Sa-ryeong retreated step by step, forgetting that he was already backed against a cliff. It took him only ten steps to realize he had no more room to retreat.

The dirt and sand under his heels crumbled and fell off the cliff with a soft sound. For the first time since he had met that person, Mo Sa-ryeong felt such intense fear.

    “Aaaah!”

At that moment, a desperate scream echoed from the bottom
