Chapter 83: Concerns (10)
by fnovelpia
While Guild Master Jang Jin-yu was having fun showing Gyeonwoo around…
Han Dayeon and Han Yuyeon had been frozen in shock all night after Gyeonwoo left.
“We must be seeing things wrong? Gyeonwoo wouldn’t leave us, right?”
“Haah. Do I have to see those uselessly huge tits even in my dreams?”
“Right? This is just a dream?”
They couldn’t accept the situation.
They tried laughing “hahaha,” rubbing their eyes until they were bloodshot, pinching their arms, splashing cold water on their faces – trying everything to “wake up” from this “dream.”
But denial couldn’t change reality.
Gyeonwoo had left long ago.
Their paralyzed state had let an icy chill settle into the huge mansion.
Finally realizing this wasn’t a dream…
That Gyeonwoo had really gotten sick of them and left…
The two women’s expressions twisted viciously like yakshas as the truth sank in.
Rage boiled up.
Whoosh-! They turned to glare at each other like beasts facing rivals.
Ready to bare sharp fangs at the slightest sign of weakness.
“Th-this is all your fault, sister! Why’d you drag me into this when you could’ve just apologized?!”
Bang!
Han Yuyeon’s angry kick made the mansion shake like an earthquake.
Usually Han Dayeon would back down, lacking physical strength, but…
“Ha. Watch your words. This happened because you whined about getting your feelings hurt by a kid.”
With the fear of Gyeonwoo hating her, Han Dayeon couldn’t think straight either.
“So it’s my fault? If we’re looking for causes, isn’t it your fault? Who attacked me personally saying my chest was too big, worrying about my future kids?”
“I never said that without reason! You got cocky with your combat abilities and started disrespecting your sister!”
“Oh please! That’s ridiculous! If you’d been nicer normally this wouldn’t have happened!”
Trying to blame each other for Gyeonwoo’s departure, their voices rose uncontrollably.
But no matter how much Han Dayeon and Han Yuyeon fought…
Usually Gyeonwoo and Pureumi would have rushed over hearing their voices and made them stop fighting and reconcile…
No matter how loudly they fought now, without Gyeonwoo it was like shouting at a wall.
Finally silence fell.
“…Then let’s both admit we were wrong and apologize.”
Han Yuyeon moved to negotiate, wanting to bring Gyeonwoo back as soon as possible.
Right, even if it was half joking, I did start this.
Plus my selfish desire to sleep alone with Gyeonwoo played a part.
“Gyeonwoo’s kind, so she’ll forgive us if we just show her we’ve made up.”
Han Dayeon agreed with Han Yuyeon’s suggestion.
Though anger and reluctance had made her deny responsibility…
“Haah… Fine. Honestly it’s mostly my fault Gyeonwoo left angry. I’ll apologize first.”
If she’d swallowed her pride and apologized earlier, Gyeonwoo wouldn’t have left like this.
After much denial and anger, Han Dayeon and Han Yuyeon miraculously reached a compromise.
But.
“Do you know where Gyeonwoo went?”
To apologize, they needed the person – but how could they know where Gyeonwoo had teleported to?
They’d have to either explain the situation to the Guild Master and get scolded terribly before getting his help, or use their own connections to find her.
They fell into despair.
“Argh! Really! I should’ve just kept my mouth shut!”
Han Yuyeon collapsed, pulling at her hair.
“I’m sorry… Gyeonwoo! Sister’s sorry…! You already seemed upset, and I failed as a sister not understanding your feelings! I’ll never do it again so please come back…!”
Han Dayeon staggered around the living room like a drunk, muttering nonstop.
Anyone seeing this would think the sisters had gone mad together.
Well, what else could they do?
“Hehehe, I’m trash… After I die give my inheritance to Gyeonwoo…”
“Sister, let’s go.”
“Huh? Go? Where?”
Han Yuyeon jumped up, her hair so disheveled a flower would fit perfectly in it.
Despite her messy appearance, her eyes were clearer than ever.
“With Gyeonwoo’s personality, she wouldn’t go anywhere dangerous or strange.”
“…True.”
“And how many people does Gyeonwoo know besides those cult bastards?”
“Oh? Ah? AH!”
Actually it was simple if they thought calmly.
Gyeonwoo’s relationships were limited.
So limited you could count them on your fingers with some left over.
“Let’s narrow down where she might go. First there’s that friend living next door… what was the name…”
“Ah, that energetic kid! Kim Seongyeong! I’ll go check!”
Han Dayeon rushed out before her sister could finish.
Though wanting to run check on a nearby neighbor was understandable…
“Haah. Logically our Gyeonwoo wouldn’t go to a boy’s house.”
Han Yuyeon ignored her foolish sister and started deducing Gyeonwoo’s whereabouts.
Though interrupted, Gyeonwoo’s possible locations were three:
Kim Seongyeong’s house.
Monk Jamyeong’s temple.
And the guild headquarters or Guild Master’s penthouse.
Kim Seongyeong’s house was extremely unlikely.
Gyeonwoo, who considered even same-sex contact lewd, wouldn’t go to a boy’s house without saying anything.
The temple was also unlikely.
Monk Jamyeong was already too busy tracking the cult using religious connections after moving temples, barely able to keep in contact.
The considerate Gyeonwoo wouldn’t impose knowing the monks’ situation.
“That leaves only the Guild Master’s penthouse.”
Without hesitation, Han Yuyeon picked up her smartphone and tapped the Guild Master’s contact.
Morning had come after their all-night worry.
If nothing was wrong, he should answer quickly…
Ring ring- ring ring-
True to Lee Sunghwan’s personality, just a plain ringtone without music.
One, two, three times…
As she nervously tapped her foot during the repeated rings…
“Han Yuyeon. What is it this early?”
Finally his low voice came through.
“Guild Master! Did Gyeonwoo go to your place?”
“I wondered why you called so suddenly – you wanted Gyeonwoo, not me.”
An unexpectedly delicate voice joined in.
“Huh? Mama? Where’s Mama?”
“The Guild Master’s working. Want to play with sister?”
“But… I wanna see Mama…”
Clear and sweet like a lark in a flower garden.
That childish pronunciation… unmistakably Pureumi’s voice.
“I’m coming over now.”
With Gyeonwoo at the Guild Master’s penthouse, that settled it.
“What? You’re saying Gyeonwoo…”
Han Yuyeon hung up firmly without hesitation despite hearing Lee Sunghwan try to speak.
She acted purely on the need to see and apologize to Gyeonwoo, not thinking of consequences.
Han Dayeon and Han Yuyeon headed straight for the Guild Master’s penthouse.
But contrary to expectations, not only could they not meet Gyeonwoo immediately, they almost got stopped.
“Guild Master. We’ll die without this…”
Nothing could stop Han Dayeon and Han Yuyeon who’d gone completely crazy.
They didn’t even stop at hearing she was in counseling about her jealousy.
Though the Guild Master knew about the sisters’ fight with Gyeonwoo, he had no choice.
“She’s with Jin-yu. I assigned some guild members as guards, ask them for the location.”
Following Jang Jin-yu’s trail, what the sisters witnessed was…
“Th-there!”
“Right. Don’t stutter, be confident!”
“W-we’ve rented this whole place so everyone please leave!”
“I told you not to be polite! Use informal speech!”
“B-but being informal is bad…”
For some reason, Gyeonwoo was chasing customers out of a dessert shop.
Even the sisters, ready to apologize immediately, were dumbfounded by this sight.
What… what was this?
Why was Gyeonwoo acting like a troublemaker?
What the hell was Jang Jin-yu teaching our kid?!
Could it be… Gyeonwoo decided to go wild because of us?!
Has she fallen to corruption?!
No! Maybe it’s not Gyeonwoo but someone who looks like her!
The sisters rubbed their eyes and looked at Gyeonwoo again.
That brilliant water-colored hair flowing past her waist.
Her gentle features and long eyelids.
Plus those tiny clenched fists and small frame that fit perfectly in their arms.
“W-what’s going on here?!”
Surprisingly, it was Gyeonwoo.
No mistaking that adorable Gyeonwoo they wanted to nibble on!
Then…
We need to stop her before citizens get upset, before fighting breaks out!
But the sisters had no chance to intervene.
“Oh my, have fun dear!”
“Could we take the leftover cake?”
Strangely, the citizens Gyeonwoo chased out were all smiling.
They looked so happy there was no worry about them saying anything bad to Gyeonwoo.
The scene was so bizarre it seemed like Gyeonwoo might have used her ability to trick people.
But as they say, long tails get stepped on…
“Ah… I-I did it!”
“Good job. See? Told you it wasn’t bad.”
While Gyeonwoo bounced around excitedly, distracted…
“Thank you for understanding.”
“No, we live safely thanks to Chungseong Guild.”
A guild employee was handing white envelopes to the citizens.
Obviously thick envelopes containing more than 100-200 thousand won.
Seeing the 50,000 won bills sticking out explained the citizens’ smiling reactions.
“What are they spending money on like this…?”
They’d bought off the citizens with money.
Just what…
Just what were they making our innocent Gyeonwoo do…?!
