Chapter 205: Armageddon
by fnovelpia
Episode 205
The level 45 demon world dungeon that Kim Jinsung had teleported to with Dantilion’s help happened to be a dungeon monopolized by the Triunfo Clan.
It was the highest-level demon world dungeon owned by the Triunfo Clan, and its high value meant that it was heavily guarded even in normal times.
Moreover, martial law had recently been declared.
To prevent potential terrorist attacks, the entrance to the level 45 dungeon was swarming with more guards than ever before.
Naturally, security was extremely tight.
“This is ridiculous! Don’t you know who we are?”
Axel exclaimed, his face contorted with frustration. Ignacio, the Triunfo Clan’s Team 7 Leader, responded in the most polite tone he could muster.
“Of course I know who you are, Team Leader Axel.”
“Then why are you being so strict?!”
“You know the situation, right? Security has been tightened due to martial law. We have to inspect everyone entering the dungeon, regardless of their clan affiliation.
What if, by some unfortunate chance, a Ukobachi accomplice is hiding among your members? Your entire team could be in danger inside the dungeon.”
“Hah! Do you think I don’t know that?”
Axel’s frown deepened.
“Let’s say a spy is cleverly hidden within my Team 1. How are you going to find them?”
“Well, we’ll use the latest identification device provided by the Paladin headquarters…”
“Do you think we haven’t used that already? We’ve conducted three thorough inspections of all our members using that device!”
His voice rose even louder.
“But we didn’t find a single spy. And it’s the same for other clans. Have you heard of any spies being caught using that device?!”
“Well…”
“No! Not a single one! Do you think those meticulous Ukobachi bastards would be so careless as to be exposed by such a simple device?!”
Axel, seeing Ignacio speechless, lowered his voice and tried to reason with him.
“Let’s not waste our time and energy on this pointless formality. It’ll take at least 30 minutes to complete the inspection. We’re all busy, so let’s just move on.”
He patted Ignacio’s shoulder and tried to walk towards the entrance.
But Ignacio blocked his path again.
“Are you serious…!”
“I understand what you’re saying, but I can’t let you pass.”
Ignacio pointed to the side with an apologetic expression.
Axel turned his head and saw a CCTV camera.
“We received an official notice from the Paladin headquarters. All clans managing dungeon entrances must record video evidence of inspecting everyone entering the dungeon.”
“What…?”
“You didn’t know? The notice arrived exactly one hour ago. Here, take a look.”
Axel carefully read the notice Ignacio handed him.
He grimaced, seeing that it was exactly as Ignacio had described.
“Why are those bastards wasting our time with this pointless task? They’re wasting the precious time of skilled personnel like Major Clan members!”
“You can complain to the Paladin headquarters later. For now, please cooperate with us. It’ll be troublesome for us if you refuse.”
“Ugh… Fine.”
Axel sighed in frustration but didn’t argue any further.
Ignacio then instructed his subordinates,
“Let’s inspect them as quickly as possible and let them through.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Excuse me.”
His subordinates started inspecting the Oslo Clan members one by one, using the identification device, as politely and quickly as possible.
Axel, who had been inspected first, grumbled with an annoyed expression,
“Because of those damn Ukobachi bastards, we have to go through this…”
“I know, right?”
“Have you noticed anything suspicious around here or inside the dungeon? I heard the Korean Clan is in a frenzy because they detected explosives near their level 31 dungeon.”
“We conducted a thorough inspection 10 minutes ago, and there was nothing unusual. But the Korean Clan’s level 31 dungeon is near here, isn’t it?”
“It’s in the next zone. Well, they detected it early, so it shouldn’t be too dangerous…”
As they were talking,
**Thud! Thud! Slash!**
“Aaaargh!”
“Ugh…!”
Screams suddenly erupted from behind them.
“……!”
“!!”
They turned their heads and gasped in horror.
Some of the Triunfo Clan members who had been inspecting the Oslo Clan members suddenly drew their swords and attacked them.
The Oslo Clan members, caught off guard, collapsed, blood spraying from their wounds. They were dead.
“Why…!”
Ignacio stared at his subordinates who had launched the surprise attack, his face filled with confusion.
His eyes widened in shock.
‘Juan, Luca, Gian…?!’
The attackers were the newbies from Teams 1, 2, and 3, who had died during the FCC Clan’s attack.
**Clang! Clang! Clang!**
“Those bastards!!”
Axel and the other Oslo Clan members instinctively drew their weapons.
“You tricked us into doing the inspection for this?! Ignacio, you’re a Ukobachi spy!!”
“Wait! Those attackers aren’t my subordinates…!”
“Don’t lie to us!! Everyone, eliminate the Ukobachi spies!”
At Axel’s command, the entire Oslo Clan Team 1 attacked the nearby Triunfo Clan members.
The Triunfo Clan members had no choice but to defend themselves, and
**Clang! Clang! Thud! Slice!**
“Aaaargh!”
“Ugh…!”
The area in front of the level 45 demon world dungeon turned into a bloody battlefield.
“Team Leader Axel! Please calm down and listen to me… Ugh!”
**Clang!**
“Shut up, you traitor!!”
Axel relentlessly attacked Ignacio, who was desperately trying to explain.
Axel was one of the strongest hunters in the Oslo Clan, so Ignacio, a mere Team 7 Leader, could only defend himself.
He was struggling to survive, let alone find an opportunity to explain.
**Roar!**
A deafening roar suddenly came from the sky.
The problem was that the roar was very familiar to both clans.
“……!”
“?!”
Everyone, including Axel and Ignacio, looked up in shock.
They saw a giant monster, large enough to block out the midday sun.
“It’s… the Dark Dragon Lord?”
Axel muttered in disbelief.
The Dark Dragon Lord, the boss of the level 45 demon world dungeon, was hovering above them, glaring down.
“Why is it outside the dungeon…?”
A voice answered Ignacio’s bewildered musing from the dragon’s head.
“I summoned it to see how big it is.”
Everyone looked towards the voice.
Their eyes widened in shock.
“K-Kim Jinsung?!”
A young man was looking down at them with a nonchalant expression, his face clearly visible.
He looked exactly like the wanted poster of Kim Jinsung distributed by the Paladins.
“It’s bigger than I thought. It’ll be difficult to summon it for surprise attacks.”
He muttered to himself, seemingly oblivious to the presence of the two clans.
Axel shouted at his subordinates, who were staring at him in a daze,
“What are you waiting for?! Attack him!”
His subordinates snapped out of it and were about to jump into the air when
the ground suddenly shook violently, and the area where they were standing collapsed.
“Whoa?!”
“Waaaah!!”
Some of them fell into the chasm, unable to react in time, while others managed to jump to safety.
Ignacio and Axel, the strongest among them, were in the latter group.
They hovered in the air, looking down at the chasm where their subordinates had fallen, and
“…Gasp!”
Gasped in horror.
They saw a crimson sphere forming in the depths of the chasm.
The rapidly expanding sphere was all too familiar to them.
“It’s Armageddon!”
“Everyone, dodge!!”
▷ Armageddon: Causes a massive earthquake in the designated area, completely collapsing the ground. Simultaneously creates a sphere of ‘Hellfire’ and Demonic Energy, drawn from the depths of the underworld.
The sphere expands rapidly and explodes upon reaching a certain size.
The crimson sphere was the precursor to ‘Armageddon’, the Dark Dragon Lord’s most powerful skill.
The clan members quickly tried to escape the blast radius, but it was too late.
**Boooom!**
The crimson sphere exploded, engulfing both clans in a massive explosion.

“…Take a look.”
Lee Sung-choon, the captain of the Korean Clan’s Paladin unit and the representative of the Paladins at the headquarters, stood on the podium in the conference room once again.
“If you look closely, you can see a faint ripple appearing in the center of the portal at the dungeon entrance when Axel and Ignacio were talking.”
“It’s what you see when someone is sneaking out.”
The middle-aged man, sitting alone in the conference room, replied.
Lee Sung-choon nodded.
“That’s right. We believe Kim Jinsung escaped from the dungeon at that moment. And the Juan, Luca, and Gian who appeared afterwards, as well as the Dark Dragon Lord, were all summoned by Kim Jinsung using his Shadow Clone ability.”
“I know! All the members of both clans died because of the Armageddon skill used by that dragon.”
Everyone who had been near the level 45 dungeon entrance at the time had been caught in the Armageddon blast and killed.
Even a group of elite members from a Major Clan would have struggled to defeat the Dark Dragon Lord with preparation. They had been caught off guard and hit by its ultimate skill, so their deaths were inevitable.
“So why did you call me here? Are you trying to tell me that those two didn’t even notice Kim Jinsung escaping? That he’s incredibly strong?”
Lee Sung-choon answered the man’s question,
“No, sir. The biggest problem is that there’s no trace of Kim Jinsung entering the dungeon.”
The man’s eyebrows twitched.
“No trace of him entering the dungeon… Could it be…?”
“That’s right, sir.”
Lee Sung-choon confirmed the man’s suspicion.
“It seems that Kim Jinsung and the other Ukobachi members have found a way to teleport on their own.”
