Chapter 7: Is the pretty girl right…?

    “Wait, just a moment.”

Clutching her throbbing head, Siyeon barely managed to regain her composure.

    …No, she hadn’t regained it.

This feeling, as if her head had been struck sharply from behind, wasn’t the kind that could be calmed in just a few seconds.

Therefore, all Siyeon could do right now was…

Accept the current situation as logically as possible and…

Filter her words once before they came out of her mouth.

    “…You’re my senior, right?”

“If you mean the 1st generation member I was supposed to see today, that’s me. Why?”

Okay, she’d found the right person.

At least… it meant the senior hadn’t mistaken this for a pickup attempt and gone crazy.

But if that was the case, it made even less sense.

    ‘What was that just now?’

“…Um, what was all that just now? About being a girlfriend and whatnot.”

“Huh? Ah. Was I too hasty?”

Even after running the circuits in her head again….

The questions still wouldn’t go away.

    “Listen carefully, junior.”

    “…Yes?”

    “Beautiful girls are absolutely right.”

Yet, that senior character was just spouting half-baked nonsense.

“And I, I really like pretty things.”

    “…???”

“Pretty people like you, junior, should be kept by my side and preserved!”

    ‘…Is she really crazy?’

No matter how much they say you can’t survive in the broadcasting world with common sense….

‘Still, in reality, couldn’t you please live normally?’

‘We’re, nominally, social animals, aren’t we? Huh?’

‘No wonder her concept was a crow…’

(TL Note: Crows are known for collecting shiny objects, Ren collects “pretty people”)

    ‘…Was this the reason?’

She’d just overlooked it before… but looking at it now, it suited her unnecessarily well.

Though Siyeon didn’t know why she collected people instead of jewels or accessories.

    ‘No, but still.’

    “…But, a beautiful girl?”

    “Yeah. Why?”

    “…Me?”

    “…Hmm?”

    That… beautiful girl?

    Me?

    ‘…Where do you see that?’

“Aha, our junior… you’re that type, huh?”

    “That type…?”

“You know, the type who isn’t aware of their own beauty?”

    ‘Beauty, my *ss.’

She had no intention of disparaging the looks she inherited from her parents.

But still, wasn’t she, Siyeon, just about average…?

She wasn’t ugly, but she didn’t particularly dress up either.

“At first glance, cool wolf-like eyes, and a sharp jawline that matches.”

“A black, medium-length bob that ends at the shoulders, suiting your atmosphere…”

“A light white streak, like an indifferent point.”

“Lastly, all the flesh concentrated on one side…”

    Regardless, our dear senior….

Suddenly chugged down the rest of her drink and… launched into a passionate speech.

    “Even that ridiculously sexy body!”

    “No, what’s that again…”

“You’re perfect in every way, and you say you’re not pretty? That’s a lie!”

    …The conclusion was extremely strange.

With logic that made Siyeon seriously consider where to even begin her objections….

Unfortunately, Siyeon couldn’t correct any part of it.

    “Senior, so…”

    “…Siyeon-ah.”

Well, before she could even offer a rebuttal….

    “What are you doing? Here.”

    “…Jiah?”

Jiah, who should have been at home, suddenly appeared.

    ‘…Why did she come?’

Siyeon was sure she’d told Jiah she was going out.

‘And why does she look like that again?’

    ‘Did something upset her…?’

    “…Senior.”

    “…Long time no see, junior?”

Meanwhile, the two seemed to know each other.

But the way they looked at each other… was far from ordinary for a senior-junior relationship.

Did it feel like what Siyeon ate today was sitting uncomfortably in her stomach…?

Whether she knew Siyeon’s feelings or not.

Jiah, after glaring at our company’s great senior for a moment….

    “Let’s go, Siyeon-ah.”

    “Um, Jiah, wai—”

    “Quickly.”

Soon, she pulled Siyeon by the hand.

    ‘…No, is this okay?’

‘Truthfully, from our first meeting until now, I’ve been mentally criticizing her to death, but….’

‘For now, she is a senior, right? Above us in rank?’

‘I don’t think it’s okay to just blatantly ignore her like this…???’

    “Hmph~ Hmm…”

As Jiah finally pulled the bewildered Siyeon to her feet.

A subtle humming sound came from the seat in front of them.

    “You two seem close?”

    “Of course.”

“Ah-ah, could you please not look at me like that? I haven’t done anything yet, you know?”

And so, after a slight chuckle.

As if surrendering for now, she casually raised both hands….

And showed us her pale palms.

    “Well… fine.”

    “…”

    “I’ll back down for today.”

    Uh… um.

    Did it somehow… end well?

Siyeon couldn’t keep up with the atmosphere. This was…

    “…And, junior?”

    “…Yes?”

“Let’s… see each other often from now on?”

    ‘…Really.’
