Chapter 25: Debut Broadcast – 2 months ago
by AfuhfuihgsChapter 25: Debut Broadcast
Debut Broadcast Begins
Since today is my debut, I titled the stream as “Debut Broadcast” and opened the stream.
Of course, it was a cam stream.
Streaming as a Dullahan might be a typical cliché for a TS girl, but I wasn’t planning to act like the protagonist of some streaming novel.
If I was blessed with incredible beauty, it was only right to use it.
And since my main lifestyle was going to be a leisurely one, I wasn’t interested in earning a bit of money here and there as a Dullahan.
Streaming was just a way to make money in reality. It could also serve as a way to try out things I might want to do later in life.
With those thoughts, I quietly sat and waited after turning on the camera.
It didn’t take long before, whether it was because of the “debut broadcast” hype or not, a viewer joined the stream.
[“User1” has joined the chat]
“Hello ‘User1’! I’m debuting today, so I hope you enjoy the broadcast!”
However, even after greeting, the chatroom remained silent.
I tilted my head, wondering if they had entered just to lurk and weren’t even watching.
I thought to myself that, given my beauty, anyone would have at least typed something in the chat if they were watching, even just out of curiosity.
Two minutes passed.
After that, someone else joined the chat…
The person immediately asked if I was using a filter.
It was understandable. My beauty was the stuff of comic book heroines.
To prove it wasn’t a filter, I shook my head. In the process, my chest shook slightly, and I heard some comments in the chat.
‘I understand, though…’
I wasn’t offended at all. Perhaps it was because of my potential for the Conqueror’s Haki, or perhaps it was just part of Boa Hancock’s innate personality.
Hearing those comments from seeing my body made me feel rather proud.
I could also understand the mentality of a man thinking like that. If I were to see a beauty like myself on a stream and my chest even slightly moved, I would probably flood the chat with similar comments too.
So, I just let it go, handling it smoothly. Of course, if anyone crossed the line, I would immediately take action.
After waiting until the 10-minute mark, I decided it was time to announce the start of the main segment.
“Alright, it’s been about 5 minutes since I started the broadcast. I’ll wait for another 10 minutes and then begin singing for real.”
It was almost time for the thumbnail to be uploaded.
I opened Twitch on my phone and looked at my thumbnail. It was still grey, plain, and without a thumbnail.
But now that 5 minutes had passed, it was time for the update.
Once my image was featured in the thumbnail, I was sure it would attract more viewers.
As soon as I had that thought, the familiar “ding ding” sound started coming from the chat as people began entering.
[“User2” has joined the chat]
[“User3” has joined the chat]
[“User4” has joined the chat]
[…]
[Wow, I was drawn in just by the thumbnail…]
[For real, is this even a human?]
[Is this AI?]
[Filter??]
[What a body, omg]
[Shake your breast dispenser please!!]
[Cleavage 😳]
[This a female streamer? If I donate, will you strip?]
[Where are you from… I’ll give you money for a stream date, wanna meet?]
The chat exploded with these comments.
Seeing this, I quickly scanned all the messages and decided to start filtering out the ones that crossed the line.
It was better to set boundaries early on.
Most other streamers would hesitate to address the audience like this from the start, afraid it might affect their success.
But I was confident. I knew that even if I banned a few people, the viewers would keep coming back.
After all, beauty is power!!
So, I boldly started issuing temporary bans on the offensive messages.
[Banned. Temporary Ban 5 minutes]
[Banned. Temporary Ban 5 minutes]
[Wah, just entered and got banned immediately!!]
[So bold!]
[Immediately cutting them off!!]
[How dare you speak like that to a goddess?!]
[Seriously, a streamer debuts and starts banning people already??]
[That’s how it is. I’ll still watch, I followed right away after seeing her.]
[Agreed, with this beauty, it’s fine.]
[They seem to be letting it slide, though?]
[Yeah, those banned just now were disgusting. The ban was well-deserved.]
As the chat became even more chaotic, I continued issuing temporary bans while calmly explaining.
“On my stream, I allow a certain level of conversation, but crossing the line is not acceptable. Since I didn’t warn you beforehand, I’m giving a temporary ban as a warning. Next time, it’ll be a permanent ban, so please be careful.”
[Yes, yes^^7]
[I said “breast dispenser” and didn’t get banned. That’s fair, right?]
[Agreed, if they’re allowing that kind of chat, then it’s all good.]
[Wow! Goddess crush!!]
[Goddess! Goddess! Goddess!!]
By the way, my broadcast nickname was Boa.
I would’ve liked to use Hancock, but since Hancock was already well-known from One Piece, Boa seemed like a better choice.
When you just say Boa, people wouldn’t immediately think of Boa Hancock.
I glanced at the number of viewers. As soon as the thumbnail was updated, the number of viewers quickly reached over 100.
And I could see the number steadily rising. Once I hit 100 viewers, my broadcast ranking increased, which made it more visible to others, attracting even more people.
It was off to a great start.
“Alright! Now that we’ve been streaming for a while, it’s time to start singing. I’ll begin with a song I want to sing. If anyone has song requests, feel free to send them as missions!”
[Requesting now, let’s go!]
[Butterfly, let’s goooo]
[I’m into Dynamite Soul…]
[“User5 donated 1000 KRW]
[Any song, is that okay? K-pop, J-pop, or even original pop songs?]
“Yes, that’s fine.”
I knew enough Japanese and English, and with Boa Hancock’s talent, I could now read and write at a native level.
It was probably my only real advantage.
[“User6 has submitted a mission (3000 KRW) – JP Kaiju’s Flower Song, please]
[“User7 has submitted a mission (3000 KRW) – KP Walking Through Time, please]
[“User8 has submitted a mission (3000 KRW) – POP Cyberpunk Edge Runner OST, please!]
After receiving those donation missions, requests started coming in rapidly.
I didn’t even have to wait for missions while singing, as my beauty alone was already drawing people to donate and request songs.
I smiled contentedly, accepting the missions.
And thus, my debut broadcast, the singing session, started off wonderfully.
