    Yuna’s Appearance

    Yuna’s Appearance

Perseus observed the magic… or more accurately, the effect of mana that I had summoned.

Then he spoke briefly with an expressionless face.

“For a dragon, this much is natural. So it’s not a particularly special result.”

Just as I was about to nod in understanding.

Perseus ruffles my hair vigorously and raises the corners of his mouth widely.

So I look up, wondering if I actually did well.

“It’s not just one plant or flower that was created, but covering the entire room is unprecedented, and achieving such perfect completion is extremely difficult even for a dragon. But this is an unremarkable result.”

He’s speaking as if it’s nothing special, but if you listen carefully to the content, it’s praise.

I’m feeling embarrassed towards Perseus, who is rubbing my cheeks vigorously, and I’m mumbling.

Han A-rin clicks her tongue and pushes Perseus away, saying.

“You could just praise her for being amazing, but you always have to say it in a roundabout way.”

Then she starts praising me and explains why this is so amazing.

“The act of infusing mana into a crystal ball is a test to determine mana sensitivity and responsiveness. For talented people, just touching the crystal ball can produce a reaction.”

It seems I have a talent for magic.

As I’m feeling relieved and thinking it’s fortunate, Han A-rin looks at me and continues speaking.

“But usually, it just stops at the level of showing a reaction… Um, for example, as I said earlier, only one flower petal? Or one or two leaves usually appear and that’s it…”

She patted my head, saying that I was on a different level since I covered the entire hospital room with flowers and grass.

Feeling a bit shy from such praise, I smile bashfully, but then shake my head to regain my composure.

‘This isn’t because I’m great. It’s just an ability I got by luck.’

As I’m trying to stay grounded, thinking not to be arrogant, Perseus looks at me and says.

    “Well done.”

I’m still wagging my tail a little, feeling somewhat happy to be praised.

Ha-eun, who was watching this from the side, seemed to become interested and approached me, leaning towards the crystal ball.

I gestured for Yuna to try it, and after looking around cautiously, she carefully reached out her hand.

As her snow-white hand touched the crystal ball, white snow began to fall around.

It wasn’t enough to fill the entire room.

But it was snowing enough to accumulate on the floor, which was quite amazing.

“Wow! The clouds are coming down…!”

Chae-a smiled brightly at the sight of the snow and started jumping around.

Then she began running here and there quickly with Somteol.

While I was feeling bewildered watching Chae-a, Yuna withdrew her hand and perked up her tail and ears.

‘She seems to be feeling shy.’

I patted Yuna’s head to show her she did well, and Yuna, pleased with my praise, wagged her tail like me and closed her eyes.

“Yuna is amazing too… With this level of talent, isn’t she on track to be the next great magician?”

“Usually, that would be the case.”

Perseus looked at me with a smirk and continued speaking.

“But as long as Ha-eun is around, it’ll be difficult.”

    “You’re really overdoing it.”

I was startled, wondering if Yuna had heard this, and looked at her.

But Yuna didn’t seem particularly interested and just tilted her head, looking at me.

As I was sighing in relief watching Yuna, Han A-rin picked up the running Chae-a and said.

“Then shall we let Chae-a try too?”

Ha-eun smiled awkwardly for some reason and giggled at those words.

Then, while being held by Han A-rin, she headed towards the crystal ball.

“Try touching this and putting mana into it.”

At those words, Chae-a hesitated a bit while looking at the crystal ball, then lightly touched it with her finger.

Startled, she hid behind me and spoke in a small voice.

    “It’s scary because it’s like a sparkly thing…”

What could the sparkly thing be?

I tilted my head at those words, and Chae-a gave me a hint, saying it was ‘something hanging in the sky’.

‘Something round and hanging in the sky?’

Wondering if there was such a thing, I stared blankly at the ceiling and noticed the light bulb.

‘Could she be talking about the light bulb?’

To confirm if my guess was correct, I pointed up and asked Chae-a if it was the light bulb.

    Chae-a nodded and trembled.

Why is she afraid of light bulbs? It seems to be because of something that happened on her way to me.

I feel heartbroken because I can’t even guess what happened.

‘Did she touch a broken light bulb?’

Or did she touch a hot light bulb?

Whatever it was, it’s a terrible conclusion that makes a corner of my heart ache.

I was telling Chae-a, who was hiding behind me, that it was okay, when Han A-rin, who was watching this from the side, asked for the reason.

“Chae-a, won’t you tell us why you’re afraid of light bulbs?”

Ha-eun nodded hesitantly in response to that question.

Then she pointed at the light bulb and explained the reason.

“I became friends with the moth brother…! I let him go when he said he wanted to go to a bright place, but as soon as he went, he fell.”

    “Ah.”

It seems the moth died instantly upon attaching itself to the light bulb that had been on for a long time.

Han A-rin blinked in surprise for a moment, then quickly composed herself and spoke urgently to Chae-a.

    “It, it’s very dangerous.”

    “Yeah! That’s why I’m scared.”

Chae-a is still hiding behind me, seemingly genuinely frightened.

As I was waiting for Chae-a to calm down.

I noticed numerous little black ones… no, not black but white ones, being born all around us.

    ’20 of them?’

Many white ones appeared with a ‘meung?’ sound and then disappeared shortly after.

I was guessing that they disappeared quickly because Chae-a hadn’t touched the crystal ball for a long time.

Perseus, who had been watching this, looked at Chae-a with admiration.

“Even considering it’s a spirit, that’s an amazing mana sensitivity. It seems to be a special case, though I’m not sure exactly what it is.”

Chae-a, regardless of the praise, is glaring at the crystal ball, seemingly uncomfortable with it.

Fearing that Chae-a might cry or get upset if this continues, I quickly picked up the crystal ball and put it in the box.

Perseus told us that after roughly assessing our talents, he would proceed with the lessons based on that.

Although he said our talents were amazing, to be honest, we felt underwhelmed as we couldn’t really sense it ourselves.

Han A-rin, who was watching us from the side, asked us a question with a bright smile.

“If you kids were to learn magic, what would you want to learn first?”

Hearing this question, Chae-a giggled and shared the magic she wanted to learn.

“Magic that lets me catch Ha-eun’s tail…!”

My tail? While I was blinking in surprise at this somewhat unexpected answer.

Yuna, who was next to me, calmly spoke while fidgeting with her fingers, her face expressionless.

    “I want to get warm.”

Surprised by this unexpected answer, I pushed my bottom out to let Chae-a, who was chasing my tail, touch it. Then I asked Yuna the reason.

“Because Ha-eun feels cold when I hug her.”

The answer came back that it was because I felt cold.

I replied that I wasn’t cold at all, but.

“When we sleep at night, Ha-eun shivers. So I sleep alone.”

Because Yuna was stating the truth so matter-of-factly, it became difficult for me to keep lying.

“Ah… so that’s why. Then, I’ll bring you an electric blanket later, okay?”

She seemed confused, not knowing what an electric blanket was.

But when I added the explanation that it makes you warm, she nodded and her eyes sparkled.

As I was patting Yuna’s head and telling her “That’s good” while looking at her.

“Then what would Ha-eun like to learn?”

This time, Han A-rin directed the question to me.

After pondering for a moment, I voiced the ultimate magic I had been thinking about since I was young.

    “Cleaning magic…!”

At the mention of cleaning magic, Han A-rin chuckled and said to me.

“There are so many other types of magic, but cleaning magic? Why?”

To the question of why, I answered somewhat seriously.

“It can make trash disappear… and like this, everything becomes clean right away… It seems like it would be really convenient and good.”

“That’s certainly true. I haven’t cleaned once since learning cleaning magic myself.”

Hearing those words, I nodded with sparkling eyes.

Han A-rin thought for a moment, then smiled brightly and continued speaking.

“Then I’ll prepare lessons so we can each learn the magic we want.”

At those words, I felt my heart pounding loudly and I was wagging my tail vigorously.

Perseus, who was standing next to me, looked at Han A-rin as if in disbelief and said.

“This is my class, why are you taking over?”

    “Does that matter?”

    “…?”

Han A-rin seemed to decide to ignore Perseus, turning her face away deliberately as she continued speaking.

“Then I’ll give you one homework assignment. Eat well and sleep well until class tomorrow. That’s it.”

    “Chae-a will work hard!”

“Alright, I’ll look forward to it?”

    “Yeah!”

Doesn’t homework usually mean something like studying?

As I was tilting my head, wondering if that was all I had to do, Perseus sighed and spoke.

“… Anyway, we’ve decided that you and Han A-rin will take turns teaching the classes.”

Han A-rin blinks and stares at Perseus, seemingly surprised that he included her so easily.

Perseus, feeling Han A-rin’s gaze, briefly says,

“It seems like the right thing to do for Ha-eun’s sake.”

    “Don’t be shy.”

The two of them seem to be getting along well, despite their banter.

I’m not sure what kind of relationship they have, but I’m glad they’re friendly with each other, and I wag my tail happily.

After the lessons, using mana was added to my daily routine.

Although it sounds grand when you say it, in reality, it was just straining and putting strength into my hands.

I wasn’t even sure if this was the right way to do it.

Still, thinking it’s better than not doing anything, I stared at my palms.

‘I’ve got a lot more to do now.’

First, stretching my body to make it longer.

Second, trying to act more mature.

Third, lifting pillows to increase muscle strength.

    Fourth, practicing holding back tears.

Fifth, learning to move my tail at will.

    Lastly, sixth, practicing mana.

Just as I was feeling proud, thinking time was passing quickly while practicing these things,

I thought it was about time to turn on the broadcast, so I picked up the phone with determination.

    ‘What should I talk about?’

As I think about what to say, I turn on the broadcast.

    [Seo-rinSeo-rin – Ha-eun!!!]

[NotAThug – Hahahahaha cute from the start]

[ThreeForwardRolls – It’s been so long, I might forget your face.]

I notice many people coming in.

Just as I’m wondering what to say to these viewers.

    “What’s dis?”

Yuna, who uses strange words like “What’s dis” instead of “What’s this,” pokes her head out.

Many people start typing indecipherable chats after seeing Yuna in her dinosaur pajamas.

[AteJajangmyeon – What’s this haha Another cutie after Ha-eun and Chae-a.]

[WantToRegress – Hahaha oh what’s thiiis Why are these kids so pretty?]

[WoofMeow – Did Ha-eun get an older sister?]
