    “Ugh, aaargh!”

The magic that burst from within blew everything away. The pastor holding the tiara, furniture, the building, and even the gang members waiting outside who were about to rush in – all of it.

“Magical Girl! Harming innocent people too. You’ve finally shown your true colors!!”

The pastor, thrown back and rolling on the ground with debris, shouted with gritted teeth and disheveled hair. However, Renée sneered at the sight.

“Your intention is obvious. If your eyes aren’t knotholes, look. Did I really harm them?”

    “This, this can’t be…”

The pastor, who had been smirking thinking he had found a good justification, looked to the side and was shocked.

Even in this moment when everything had turned into chaos in an instant, including the gang members who were about to pounce, Renée’s magic hadn’t touched the victims.

    “I’ll promise once again.”

Renée spoke to those who were staring at her blankly from within the protective barrier she had cast.

“I will realize true justice. Even if it means going against reality and the existing order. With this very power.”

She raised the wand in her hand. Her beautiful and noble declaration. Combined with the power she had just demonstrated, it was her innate ability to move and sway people’s hearts.

“Don’t be fooled again! Those despicable hypocrites don’t help the weak like you!”

“They want to turn you into monsters, only to create chaos! In the end, you are the victims. Even if you achieve revenge by becoming such monsters, it’s you who will ultimately suffer.”

The pastor gritted his teeth and shouted, but Ren didn’t hesitate. People’s eyes wavered. Since the parasites in their bodies had been destroyed by the magic wave she emitted, the choice was entirely up to their hearts.

“The one who killed my daughter eventually received a slap on the wrist from this country’s court.”

The one who broke the strange balance was the woman who had just poured out her story of losing her daughter in anger.

“That bastard is one thing, but I can’t forgive those who protected him with money even more.”

    “…I understand.”

“Can you kill them for me? Those bastards who don’t even know what’s right and what’s priority!! Can you kill them in my place?”

She shouted and panted heavily. Ren, watching her silently, gripped her staff tightly.

‘There is no absolute right answer. There are only things that seem like the right answer.’

Ren didn’t think her choice was the right thing to do. Nor did she think it was wrong.

That’s just how the world is.

For a moment, Takiras’s constant argument about survival of the fittest flashed through her mind. That logic, reflecting the laws of nature, was applicable even at this moment.

The justice of the stronger becomes the right answer, and the logic of the weak becomes the wrong answer.

‘So to continue this activity, I have no choice but to believe. That I, myself, am justice.’

Ren clenched her teeth and put strength into her eyes. It was a gaze so intense that even the woman who was out of her mind with anger flinched.

“Those you mentioned. They are clearly evil. I have decided so. Therefore, I will judge them.”

    “Ah…”

Rather, that overwhelming presence soon returned as trust.

The woman, who finally shed tears at Ren’s words, staggered and sat down. Her heart had already leaned towards this side.

“Lies! Don’t spout nonsense, you stupid brat! You who only keep your promises and speak pretty words, how could you possibly fight for real!”

“Foolish one. It’s simply that your power was lacking. I am stronger than you all. That’s why I’m more reliable.”

    “Y-You bitch…”

Rene coldly replied to the enraged pastor. Having taken a big hit, he trembled all over.

For him, the idea that the being he served was weak and filtered out was absolutely unacceptable.

“Why don’t you see it for yourself? The true power of that one!”

Enraged, he put on the tiara he had been holding onto his own head. Rene frowned at the sight.

An immense power burst forth in an instant. It was clearly a power similar in nature to the monsters of hatred seen before.

“I can’t kill you now, so I’ll just imprison you.”

Clicking her tongue, Rene tapped the ground with her staff to cast a spell.

Multi-layered Illusion Resonance Formation. A prison of countless illusions that couldn’t be broken through without considerable power.

    “Argh…”

The pastor, who had transformed into a horrifying monster the size of a mid-sized car and was about to charge in triumphantly, disappeared from reality in an instant with a single scream.

    “Lady Rene!”

“…He is still trapped in there.”

It was already late dawn. Several sirens that had been racing along the quiet mountain road rushed one by one to this chaotic scene.

Some magical girls who had flown through the sky did the same. Lina, the magical girl who had lent clothes to Rene, flinched when she saw Rene.

“He will soon break out, and then you subdue him. Can you do it?”

“O-Of course. But are you hurt anywhere?”

Lina asked cautiously, but Rene shook her head.

“There are… quite a few things to do now.”

She mumbled absentmindedly while looking at the people gathered near the ambulance.

Although it was said that parasites were implanted to amplify negative emotions, they were clearly people who had their own wounds and came here for those wounds.

“Good job. It’s a great achievement to track down the traces of the mysterious person, codename Black Sun, who couldn’t find that path at all. It’s a big deal that even the Special Forces couldn’t intervene. With this, we should be able to take the initiative.”

    “It’s not that simple though.”

Lee Min-hyung, the core of Frontier and the director of the Management Bureau, approached Renée along with other executives, praising her for her great achievement.

However, Renée smiled bitterly at him.

“He is chaos that grows on the dark parts of this society as nourishment. We should eradicate chaos itself, but I think it’s right to consider the fundamental problem as well.”

“…I know what you mean. Those who have become rampaging mysterious beings until now. What kind of stories they had. They are undeniable victims of this society.”

Min-hyung nodded with a gloomy expression. After all, it became known through Tequilas’s rampage, who cut off the head of the active police chief, what kind of feelings they had when they became monsters and went on a rampage.

“But Renée. As smart as you are, you should know that this world… can’t go on without someone’s sacrifice.”

“I agree with that too. It’s just that as much as they suffered, it would be right for this society to endure someone else releasing their resentment on their behalf. Just like how Tequilas doesn’t refuse challenges to himself even while wielding his overwhelming power.”

    She smiled meaningfully.

    “Where are you going?”

“Maybe she got injured. Anyway, I’ll finish the preparations.”

Renée flew away into the sky, but they couldn’t leave this place. Soon, when the illusion barrier is lifted, the pastor who has become a rampaging mysterious being will appear.

The Magical Girls and Frontier were planning to work together to subdue the pastor.

So, only those who had received a promise from her knew why Renée was leaving.

    “Good morning~.”

    “Good morning, Team Leader.”

A typical morning at the office. People started arriving and filling their seats as they came to work.

They were, of course, unaware of what had transpired in the mountains on the outskirts of the city the night before.

Oh Hyun-sook, the team leader of the human rights organization Pureureom, was no different. Seated at her desk, she opened the internet as usual before starting her work.

    “Oh my, what’s this?”

Only then did she see the urgent news articles popping up.

The articles initiated by Frontier to gain the upper hand contained explicit information and methods about the monster Smalilian that the magical girls had uncovered.

“Look at this. Isn’t it too horrible?”

    “What’s the matter, Team Leader?”

Her fuss attracted several team members who gathered to read the article together.

“It says they deceive people with deep wounds and hatred, turning them into terrible monsters. Those monsters causing riots these days. Oh my, oh my.”

Oh Hyun-sook clicked her tongue in apparent sympathy, making a fuss.

“They should have come to us instead of going to such places. We could have helped.”

“Team Leader. If we play this right, we might be able to use this, don’t you think?”

    “Use it? How?”

“Well, not exactly use it… but more like, a way to promote ourselves.”

In response to her sincere lament, a male employee smiled and spoke.

The weak, the victims, the wounded.

All of these were things that made Oh Hyun-sook eager. Of course, Oh Hyun-sook’s desire to help them was ‘sincere’ without a hint of falsehood, but there were also those who thought more about somehow achieving results and building their resumes rather than actually helping people.

“That’s certainly a good point. Let’s do that then.”

Falling for the male employee’s suggestion, she decided to seriously consider the proposal.

There was not a shred of doubt or hesitation in their actions. After all, they firmly believed that their current actions were truly just and correct.

    “Do you really think so?”

    “Huh…?”

Even when the office door and walls were shattered at once, collapsing with a thunderous sound.

“Do you really think that you are the correct answer to help them?”

Even when a magical girl wrapped in brilliant golden light pointed her staff at them with hostility.
