    Demon King Girl (2)

    Demon King Girl (2)

    Demon King Girl (2)

Fear. Overwhelming fear is the true drug and truth serum. That’s why I liked fear. Before becoming the Demon King, and even after, this emotion called fear was essential to me.

At least that’s what I’ve believed. Now, there’s no need to bring out the earth dragon of the Demon Realm, the lord of fear.

For weak-minded beings, just the demonic energy I emit would be enough to drive them into extreme panic. Especially when someone who didn’t know their place and acted cocky becomes a headless piece of meat rolling beneath them.

    “Uh, uwaaaaah!”

Unlike how they were puffing out their chests earlier, the aides of that nameless trash fled without even looking back at their superior who had been beheaded. I didn’t bother chasing them. It was too troublesome.

Instead, I turned my attention to the others who couldn’t escape and were frozen in place.

“Park Ajun, Jeon Euisung. You two are from the Broadcasting Bureau?”

“Wh-why are you doing this? We didn’t do anything to you!”

As I wiggled my finger towards the two people who were sitting down and trembling, Director Park Ajun shouted with a voice shaking uncontrollably.

    “Ahahah.”

Hearing that desperate voice, I laughed with genuine mockery. Why don’t they, no, why don’t people understand?

“What a foolish question. I am a Magical Girl. And you two are villains with black hearts. So, what other reason do I need besides simply eliminating you?”

“Stop talking nonsense! Stop talking nonsense! This country is governed by the rule of law! Obey the law, maintain order!!”

As my killing intent intensified slightly, Park A-jun’s voice grew louder in proportion to the fear constricting his body.

Having seen numerous cases like this before, I know that empty vessels make the most noise. Just by how loudly he was shouting, I could tell he was quite terrified.

“Well, if I were to be kind and give you one more reason, perhaps you might understand why you need to be dealt with.”

    “R-reason? Understand?!”

“You have caused me harm. As if my mood wasn’t foul enough already, you provoked me to kill you by brazenly spouting nonsense.”

I told the two panicking men this obvious and clear fact. Naturally, they didn’t seem to understand, just blinking their eyes for a moment.

    “Can’t you grasp the reason?”

“W-well. We’ve never broadcast anything targeting magical girls. D-don’t tell me it’s because we covered your incidents in breaking news every time!? But that was clearly what we had to do as the media…”

“I wonder if you’re just stupid, or if you’re truly so evil that you can’t even sense it.”

The incoherent words coming out of Park A-jun’s mouth disappointed me. Well, I had expected it, but I still had some hope. I thought maybe they had some grand personal belief or mission.

“It wasn’t any great belief or mission. You were just doing what you always do. Fake news, instigation, slander, division… That’s what you’ve been from the start.”

    “W-what are you…”

“The recent report on the international criminal organization’s human experiments. You haven’t forgotten about that, have you?”

I just gave them the answer. I wanted to see how they would react. It was a kind of whim. It was quite a spectacle to see their faces changing color by the second, seemingly in shock.

“What does that have to do with you… Weren’t you the one who helped clean up that horrific scene in the first place!?”

“You, following your instincts ingrained in your bones, keep wagging your tongue and doing useless things, but do you really not know? This is your last chance. Choose your words carefully.”

As I narrowed my eyes and increased the aura I was emitting slightly, Park A-jun flinched and then shut his mouth tightly.

“…I admit the report was a bit hasty. But!”

“Hasty? Is that all? Even after seeing the cyber rubberneckers who were spouting nonsense without knowing anything get beheaded by me, do you really still know nothing?”

“…I admit that it was inaccurate! But such things can be corrected…”

“Corrected? It seems like something is missing before that.”

I snorted. I’m not doing this for no reason. These bastards dared to harm me.

In the Demon Realm, it’s common sense to harm those who have harmed you. Now, as the Demon King of the Demon Realm, not an Earthling, I will naturally follow the common sense of the Demon Realm.

“But aren’t you going to apologize? To those who were harmed by your disgusting instigation and fake news, including me.”

Of course, even in the Demon Realm, more important than causing harm is obtaining the opponent’s acknowledgment and true submission. On Earth, that would be replaced with an apology.

    “Ugh… ugh…”

“This is ridiculous. Why are you like this? Is it really impossible for you to apologize?”

However, Park Ah-jun’s reaction was different from what I expected. I thought he would soon be crying and begging for his life.

Despite being out of his mind with terrible fear, he was somehow holding on, sweating profusely.

“If you apologize, do you think you’ll lose? That you’ll die?”

    “Of course!”

Finally, he lost the rationality he had been barely maintaining.

“You stupid brat! Apology? Apology?!! That’s harmful in this society. The moment you apologize for anything, you’re admitting your fault. Do you think the rabid pigs of this era care about the meaning of an apology?! Apology is no longer an act of seeking forgiveness. It’s a stigma! You’re branding yourself. Telling them to bite me and kill me!”

Completely in a state of panic, he spewed out words like a machine gun. I listened to his story with interest. His outburst, revealing 100% of his thoughts without any lies, didn’t stop.

“And why should I bow my head to the unspecified masses of pigs?! Huh? I’m generously sharing knowledge and news with these fifth-rate commoners, how dare they… You should climb up by reading people, not by rioting! Those bastards!”

He even revealed how he usually thinks. It wasn’t particularly surprising. With his pathetic sense of superiority and the logic of survival of the fittest. I knew he’d be exactly this kind of guy.

    “S-senior…”

Even the PD, Jeon Ui-seong, tried to stop him with a trembling voice.

    “Urp?!”

“I understand your thoughts. Especially regarding survival of the fittest, I deeply agree. So you’ll comply, right? In front of a true strong one, a minnow like you can be crushed like fallen leaves.”

    “Urghhhh!”

I moved the shadows to grab and pull his tongue. He flailed in shock, but how could he grab shadows with his hands?

“Did you think you were strong because those idiot juniors followed you? Did you think those lumps of meat lying here were the strong ones? It’s ridiculous.”

    “Ughk…uoogh!!”

Blood flowed, and his screaming tongue began to tear out little by little. I gripped it more firmly. To pull it all out without breaking in the middle.

Even as he struggled with tears of blood, his tongue had already protruded more than halfway out of his mouth.

“The pinnacle of true survival of the fittest is me. Not pathetic ones like you.”

    “Guoogh….”

With a horrible ripping sound, a large muscle mass was pulled out amidst a fountain of blood.

The tongue fell with a splat onto the pool of blood. Immediately after, Park Ah-jun’s breath stopped and he fell backwards.

    “Aaaagh!”

“So. Is it your turn now?”

I turned to PD Jeon Ui-seong. Perhaps he was somewhat more normal, as he hurriedly prostrated himself on the ground, begging for his life.

“Please… please spare me… I’ll do anything. I, I have young children and a wife waiting at home. I’ll pay for my sins somehow, please…”

He started sobbing while showing his phone’s wallpaper. However, my heart wasn’t particularly shaken.

    “Family. What a convenient excuse.”

    “W…what?”

“Don’t worry. Of course I won’t touch innocent children. So if your kids come looking for me wanting revenge for their father, I’ll gladly face them with the courtesy due to challengers.”

I had no intention of sparing him. Head of a family? Rabbit-like children? What did he expect me to do? Was he offering his children as sacrifices to save himself?

    “Ah…ahhh!”

Falling into despair, he staggered and tried to run away. I immediately shot out shadow blades. The blades that cut his body into pieces were enough to destroy this room.

    “…”

The family photo that appeared on the screen of the fallen phone was stained with blood.

    “Humans will condemn your actions.”

“I didn’t come here to live while considering such things.”

I snorted at Ren’s attempt to sound serious and kicked him.

“Let’s go. There’s still more to do.”

“You, you’re planning to kill more?!”

“I’ll kill everyone related to the broadcasting department. I’ll also kill the person in charge who authorized the broadcast. What’s the problem, Ren? They’re the villains, and I’m just accumulating achievements according to the rules set by your fairy companies.”

Belief? Mission? In fact, I didn’t have such things either. I had no intention of dressing it up or belittling it.

The ecosystem of survival of the fittest that Park Ajun cried out for. I’m just following that logic.

“Aaagh! Open the door! The door!”

    “Please save us!”

I activated the huge dome I had already created. This dome, which I had installed in advance, had actually been activated the moment I invaded the building, cutting off the entire broadcasting station from the outside.

All that was left was to find the targets among the panicked people.
