Chapter Index

Our first meeting with Leona’s family ended in a muddle, as it was already late and Leona had desperately blocked Sylvia.

Sylvia gave me the entire top floor with four bedrooms. It was originally built for guests, but since hardly anyone visited, it was mostly empty.

Even if Aria came to play, she would sleep in the same bed as Leona, so there was no need to use the other rooms.

“You must be tired from the journey here. Get some rest, and I’ll wake you up in the morning,” Sylvia said, and then she left with Leona. Aria also bid me goodbye, saying she had fun today. I was the only one who went up to the third floor.

I unpacked my bags and lay on the bed, but I couldn’t sleep, so I thought about the conversation between the mother and daughter earlier. Leona’s father had gone on a solo expedition, and Leona had also participated in expeditions before.

‘It’s probably a similar incident to the one in the original story,’ I thought. I guessed that it was a similar situation to the monster appearance incident in the original story. Both of them seemed more concerned about the fact that their loved ones had gone on an expedition again rather than worrying about their safety. The type and number of monsters were probably not much different from the original story either.

Of course, this was just my speculation, and I couldn’t be sure. By now, it was more likely that I would find similar incidents to the original story rather than different ones. Anything could change.

‘Should I offer to help them?’ I thought.

I knew that either Leona or Sylvia would refuse, not wanting to trouble a guest, but it was still worth asking. It would be uncomfortable to just leave the monsters alone and try to rest.

Knock, knock. As I was thinking about how to defeat the monsters, I heard a gentle knock on the door.

“It’s me, Leona. Aria is with me too. Can we come in?” Leona asked.

“Come in, the door is open,” I replied. I figured I could ask them what they wanted after letting them in.

As soon as I gave them permission, the door opened silently. Leona and Aria, both in loose pajamas and carrying pillows, walked in confidently. Aria seemed a little hesitant, though.

“Wait, you can just come here like that,” I said, as they seemed about to get onto the bed.

“It’s fine” they both insisted, and then they climbed onto the bed. Without giving me a chance to react, they placed their pillows on either side of me and pulled my arms towards them.

“What are you doing? Lie down quickly. If you stand there, you won’t be able to sleep,” Leona said.

I obediently lay down again, letting them pull my arms. Naturally, we ended up in the same position as when we were walking around the city, with me in the middle and each of them holding one of my arms.

“What’s this all of a sudden? Is this why you came here?” I asked.

“I’ve always wanted to do this,” Leona replied.

    “What?”

    “This.”

    “What are you talking about?”

    “What we’re doing now.”

“……” I wanted to ask her what she meant, but I knew that she would just keep beating around the bush, so I gave up.

I quietly looked up at the ceiling, feeling like I shouldn’t turn to either side since they were both holding my arms.

“I’ve always wanted to do this, but I can’t just do it with anyone. That’s why I’m doing it with you, Mira,” Leona said.

“So I’m not just anyone?” I asked.

    “Of course not,” she replied.

    “Of course,” Aria agreed.

I wondered how to respond, but then I decided to just let them do what they wanted. We weren’t going to take things any further, and if it was just sleeping in the same bed, I had already experienced much more intimate situations with Priscilla and Beatrice.

Especially Priscilla, who often slept in just her underwear or a single shirt, was far more daring than these two. Compared to that, this was child’s play.

“Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to walk around the village. Is there anywhere you’d like to visit, MirMira? It’s a bit embarrassing to call it sightseeing, but if there’s anywhere you’d like to see, I’ll take you there.”

“Hmm, I don’t know the area well, so I can’t think of any specific places. Maybe just walking around the village and then resting by the lake or river would be nice?” I suggested.

“That’s a great idea,” Aria said, her voice full of delight. I turned to look at her, startled by her breath on my ear. She was right in front of me, her face close to mine, giggling.

“Yeah, it’s a good idea,” Leona agreed, her lips almost touching my ear as she whispered. It was as if she was determined not to be outdone by Aria.

‘Why are they acting like this?’ I wondered if Sylvia had put them up to something.

“Are… are you sleeping?” Aria asked.

“It seems like it,” Leona replied.

The two girls carefully raised their upper bodies to take a closer look at me. I was lying perfectly in the middle, eyes closed, and breathing evenly.

Aria waved her hand in front of my eyelids, but there was no response.

“He might just be pretending to sleep,” Aria said.

    “Hmm… I’ll check,” Leona said.

“Check? What do you mean?” Aria asked, her eyes widening.

Before Leona could finish her sentence, Aria climbed onto my stomach, placing her hands on my chest and slowly lowering her head. Leona covered her face with her hands, surprised by Aria’s boldness.

After a few seconds that felt like an eternity, they both leaned in, their noses almost touching. I held my breath, worried that they might accidentally wake me up.

But my eyes remained closed, and my breathing remained steady. I was still asleep.

“Yeah, he’s definitely asleep,” Aria said, climbing off me with a grin. Leona’s heart was pounding, and she quickly sat up, her face flushed.

“I, I’ll check too,” Leona said, her voice shaky. She didn’t want to be outdone by Aria.

“Okay,” Aria said, her smile growing brighter.

Leona’s mind went blank as her body took over, driven by a desire she couldn’t control. Just like Aria had done, she climbed onto my stomach, placing her hands on my chest and leaning in.

Our noses touched. Leona was so focused on me that she didn’t even realize our noses had touched. She continued to examine me, her mind clouded with desire.

Her body moved lower, her legs spreading as she straddled me, her legs brushing against my firm muscles.

Her golden eyes, now completely unfocused, looked down at my closed eyelids and my firmly closed lips.

“Haa, haa…” Leona’s breath quickened as memories of a similar moment flooded her mind. In the carriage, she had tried to check if I was asleep and had almost kissed me.

Her mind grew foggy, and her thoughts shifted. She wondered if this time would be different from the last.

    Maybe now…

“If you keep doing that, you’ll really touch him, Leona,” Aria warned.

“Haaaat?!” Leona jumped up, startled by Aria’s words. She quickly straightened her clothes, her face burning with embarrassment.

“So, how is it? Are you sure he’s asleep?” Aria asked.

“Y-yeah. He’s definitely asleep,” Leona stammered, nodding vigorously.

Relieved that Aria wasn’t going to press the matter further, Leona nodded vigorously, too embarrassed to admit that she had been distracted by other things and hadn’t really checked properly.

With their confirmation, the two girls began to quietly observe me as I slept.

“He’s sleeping so soundly,” Aria whispered.

“Yeah…” Leona and Aria had come to Mira’s room because of Sylvia. They had been advised, or rather, instructed, to share a bed with me and observe my reactions.

If there was a reaction, that would be great, but even if there wasn’t, they could at least make me aware of their presence and hopefully develop some level of interest in them.

The best-case scenario would be if I showed signs of desire, but neither of them expected that, so it didn’t really matter.

“Well, Mira never really shows his emotions, does he?” Leona said.

Indeed, Leona had never seen me express any sexual desires, even when Priscilla would engage in extremely intimate physical contact with him in public.

‘And the pain…’ Leona paused as a memory flashed through her mind.

When we faced the Demon King and went to capture the dragon Mahbat, he had always remained calm, no matter how injured he was… but those were memories she would rather forget, so she quickly pushed them aside.

“Hmm… I guess so,” Aria said, touching her cheek thoughtfully. Even to another girl, her cuteness and charm were undeniable.

“So, should we just sleep here tonight? Both of us?” Aria asked.

“Huh? What?” Leona stammered, taken aback by Aria’s bold suggestion.

“Well, we’re not going to do anything weird, right? And we’re not going to let anything weird happen to us. In fact, it would be better if we did something weird to Mira, right?” Aria said, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

“……” Leona couldn’t bring herself to disagree, so she hesitated. Aria giggled and added, “Are you planning to do something weird to Mira? Should I move aside? You can go to your room and sleep, Leona.”

“Of course not!” Leona exclaimed, her face reddening.

“Okay, that’s settled then?” Aria said, her smile growing even more captivating.

Leona was easily convinced by this simple logic. Perhaps she had never intended to strongly object in the first place, or maybe she just needed an excuse to share a bed with me.

Leona gently lay down next to me, her arm close to mine. It felt like I could sense her scent, and strange thoughts kept popping into her mind. To distract herself, she decided to strike up a conversation with Aria.

“You know, it was really unexpected that you would come here with me” Leona said.

“Hmm? What do you mean?” Aria asked.

“Well, Sylvia only advised me to come here, not you. She’s my mother, so it’s not surprising that she would give me advice, but it’s unusual for her to get involved with someone else’s daughter like this,” Leona explained.

Aria smiled and propped herself up on her elbow, looking down at Leona.

“Leona, do you believe in fate?” Aria asked.

“Me? Well… I guess so. I mean, I went from being an ordinary village girl to becoming a hero, so if that’s not fate, I don’t know what is. Although it’s a bit hard to fully accept,” Leona replied.

    “And why do you ask?”

Instead of answering directly, Aria smiled, her blue eyes sparkling with a captivating and enchanting charm.

The moonlight reflected in her eyes as the breeze blew her short golden hair. After a brief silence, during which they both looked down at me, Aria spoke.

    “Because I believe in fate.”
