Chapter 44: Your head’s completely hollow, isn’t it?
by fnovelpia
A man named Kim Hyung-jin was a piece of trash who used his abilities to toy with others.
Although he hadn’t been caught, he had committed many crimes using his powers.
Now, he had finally reunited with Park Si-woo, the person he had bullied in the past.
Seeing how different Park Si-woo looked now filled Kim Hyung-jin with a desire for domination.
“Wow, you’ve really turned into a woman that turns me on. This changes things.”
He said, marveling at how beautiful Park Si-woo had become.
It was hard to believe how much Si-woo had changed.
Apparently, she was now a “saintess,” possibly from some fantasy world.
Her silver hair and voluptuous figure perfectly matched her modified nun’s outfit.
“…..”
The woman remained silent, simply standing there, staring blankly as if time had stopped.
She didn’t move, locked in place as their eyes met.
What started as a gamble had paid off—his power worked perfectly on her, and he was thrilled with the result.
His ability worked on any woman, after all.
“Is this really the same Park Si-woo? Thanks to that idiot Lee Si-yeon, I’m about to enjoy a nice catch.”
Kim Hyung-jin’s dark desires came to the surface.
Whether the woman in front of him had once been a guy or someone he had bullied didn’t matter now.
She was just a woman he desired.
“Heh heh heh… If you had looked like this back then, I might’ve treated you better. Well, whatever. From now on, you’re mine.”
The thought of having complete control over her body made his lips curl.
He couldn’t wait to press his lips against hers, force a deep kiss, and grope her breasts, ravaging her to his heart’s content.
“Damn, she’s perfect for sex. Just look at those huge breasts and that childbearing hips. I can’t wait to have her.”
He ogled her large chest and wide hips, wondering if she’d managed to stay a virgin with a body like that.
Or maybe, with a figure like that, she’d been offering herself to the higher-ups at her church. Who could say?
Kim Hyung-jin was the kind of person who would do anything for money.
The fact that she was dressed in such a revealing nun’s outfit made it clear she wasn’t making much money.
It was obvious she’d had to sell herself at some point.
“Even if she can’t talk right now, I’ve always hated you. You had nothing, but you still acted like you were better than everyone else. It pissed me off so much.”
Park Si-woo, even as a poor kid, had lived quietly, minding his own business. But that self-sufficient, independent attitude disgusted Kim Hyung-jin. Si-woo acted like he could handle everything on his own, without relying on anyone else.
Kim Hyung-jin had been the most popular guy in class.
He was athletic, good-looking, and admired by both girls and boys.
But Park Si-woo had been different.
In retrospect, Kim knew his hatred was fueled by jealousy, but he couldn’t stand to admit it.
That’s why he had turned Park Si-woo into a target, bullying him relentlessly.
Still, something about it had always felt unsatisfying.
“That damn beggar didn’t know his place. He should have been crawling on the ground, trembling, but even when he was about to die, he wouldn’t say a word of apology. Every other loser we bullied, even if they hadn’t done anything wrong, would beg for forgiveness just to stay on our good side. Yeah, sure, that was pathetic too. But you… you were different. You were right. But you know what? Even when we were beating you up, when we were tormenting you, you were always looking somewhere else. Like you didn’t even care about us at all!”
It was as if Park Si-woo was in a different world, ignoring them as if they were mere pebbles on the side of the road.
They were the ones bullying him, but he acted like they didn’t matter at all.
It gave Kim Hyung-jin chills.
He hated it.
Even when he had taken away Lee Si-yeon, Park Si-woo hadn’t reacted.
He didn’t say a word in response to their taunts and sneers.
“So, I even stole your girl, wondering what kind of reaction I’d get, but it was the same, wasn’t it?”
Or maybe Si-woo never really liked her in the first place.
He couldn’t be sure, but the more he bullied Si-woo, the angrier he himself became.
“I was so annoyed when you died, because something still felt unresolved. But now things are different. Who would have thought you’d turn into a woman like this?”
Now, he could do whatever he wanted with this body, and he was going to make her fall for him.
With his charm ability, he could make any woman his.
“Consider yourself lucky. I’ve only been going after rich women lately since young ones like you don’t have any money saved up. But you… you get to be my special slave.”
He thought about dragging her to a motel right then and there.
“Looks like she’s ready to burst.”
He muttered, right before the saintess spoke.
Her words made him freeze for a moment, caught off guard.
This was supposed to be an ability that hypnotized women, leaving them unable to speak unless he commanded them. How was she talking?
He couldn’t believe his ears.
Furrowing his brow, he stepped closer.
“What?”
“Nutcracker.”
CRACK!
A heavy pain surged from his lower body, and his vision turned white.
*
Kim Hyung-jin, the idiot who had been harassing me, was at it again.
His eyes had suddenly started flashing, like he was showing off his new lenses or something.
Then he started bringing up my past self, calling me things like a ‘stuck-up beggar.’
He wasn’t wrong.
Every word he said was true.
But the real reason Park Si-woo had ignored these jerks wasn’t because he was full of himself.
It was because he was poor, and as a poor kid, he had to think about earning money and planning for the future—his sister’s future, finding a way to survive.
Every day had been a struggle.
That’s probably how it was.
Kim Hyung-jin thought it was just because Si-woo was a beggar, obsessing over money, but their values were completely different.
Of course, that was Park Si-woo’s story, not mine.
A past life is just that—something from the past.
I’m me now, and I couldn’t listen to that garbage any longer.
Were his eyes really using some sort of charm or hypnosis?
This lunatic seemed to think I was frozen in place.
What an idiot.
I aimed between Kim Hyung-jin’s legs as he continued rambling.
“Looks like she’s ready to burst.”
“What?”
“Nutcracker.”
With a swift motion, I pulled out my mace from my sleeve and struck upward between his legs.
Crack!
The sound of something bursting was followed by his face contorting in the most grotesque way.
His eyes widened, and snot started running down his face.
For someone who had a halfway decent face, he sure looked repulsive now.
The fool wobbled on the spot. I had hit him lightly, so he should be feeling a little “light” pain.
“You… you… how… how did you!?”
The way he clutched his legs was almost funny.
It looked incredibly painful.
“Did you really think that low-level ability would work on me?”
How did I do it?
Obviously, that sort of thing would never work on me.
He tried something disgusting, so it’s only fair he gets punished for it.
“No, no way… wait, hold on a second!”
Nope, there’s no ‘holding on.’ I’m not that generous.
I dragged my mace along the floor with a grating sound as I walked slowly toward him.
Slowly, very slowly, until he was trembling and stumbling backward in fear.
“Wait, let’s not do this! For old times’ sake!”
“You seem to be confused. The name ‘Park Si-woo’ is just a past identity I’m using to survive in this world.”
It looked like no one else was around.
That meant I could have some fun.
[Respawn Field]
First, I set the stage.
“You really had to bring up memories I didn’t care to recall. Sure, I thought about being a man again, but I never asked for the memories.”
“What… what are you going to do?”
Since he asked, it was only polite to explain.
I’m nothing if not kind—after all, I’m a saintess.
Even trash like Kim Hyung-jin deserves a proper explanation.
“It’s simple. You’ve played games, right? You know in FPS deathmatches, where you die and respawn over and over?”
“Wh-What…?”
“Yeah, it’s just like that. Nothing more, nothing less.”
“Wait! Just hold on a second! Let’s not do this! Let’s leave the past behind! Revenge isn’t good!”
Seeing him waving his hands in desperation almost made him look pitiful.
“Why do you think this is revenge? The reason you’re getting hurt now is simple.”
If this were about revenge, I’d have already crushed his skull and ended it.
“!!”
“You dared to lay your filthy hands on me.”
Crack!
Kim Hyung-jin’s skull split open like a watermelon.
And then, his body vanished, replaced by a respawned, intact version of him.
He quickly grabbed his sword again, and charged toward me, his anger evident.
“You crazy bitch! You think I’ll let you beat me twice?!”
Funny.
Every person who’s ever said that never managed to avoid losing a second time.
“Yes.”
Crack!
This time, I shattered his groin with a kick.
He dropped his sword and collapsed to his knees, clutching at his legs.
I could at least give him credit for resilience.
Not many people get back up and attack immediately after respawning.
Of course, his overconfidence was what led him to ruin.
“Tw-Twice… twice…”
Why does he sound like this is going to be the last time?
There are plenty more opportunities for him to get wrecked.
“Alright, but before I break your skull again…”
“What?”
Poke!
I jabbed my fingers into his eyes, and his scream filled the air.
“Aaaaargh! You crazy bitch!”
“Consider it a blessing. After all, it’s not every day that a goddess like me personally does this for someone.”
I examined his eyes for a moment.
Could they be mystic eyes?
If so, I should be careful.
-The eyes themselves seem fine. Nothing unusual. It’s probably some kind of innate ability he has.
Normally, powers like that are stored in the eyes, but not this time.
Lucky bastard. I’d love to have a unique ability like that.
Maybe something like cloning.
“You bitch! You crazy bitch! My eyes!”
He screamed, blood pouring from the empty sockets where his eyes used to be.
Both his lower “eggs” were shattered, and now his two upper eyes were gone too.
“Quiet.”
Crack!
I smashed his head once more.
Blood and brain matter splattered everywhere.
His skull broke apart so easily, it was almost laughable.
Honestly, it might have been more satisfying to break a watermelon.
“Wow, look at that brain splatter. So disgusting.”
I thought this guy was supposed to be smart, but turns out his brain was just like instant noodles.
Then again, all he ever did was act like a piece of trash.
Kim Hyung-jin, resurrected once more, pointed his sword at me again.
“You fucking bitch! I won’t let this slide!”
“And what exactly do you plan to do about it?”
“I’ll kill y—”
Crack!
I shattered his head again.
Blood and brain matter sprayed in every direction once more.
Seems like he still hasn’t learned his lesson.
Guess I’ll have to deal with him personally.
“So, what were you saying about killing me?”
“I’ll ki—”
Crack!
Still not getting it.
How many times does he have to be resurrected to understand?
There’s an old saying that people reflect on their mistakes when they die, but I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve killed him already.
Eventually, Kim Hyung-jin stopped resisting.
I walked up to him, this time calmly.
“Go ahead. Try saying something again.”
“Just kill me, you fucking bitch!”
Oh, he’s finally given up.
How pathetic.
