… … … … …

It’s already been three days since I came to stay with Sister Ayoung in this cabin, no, in this secret sanctuary. It felt like time had passed quickly, but it also felt like it had passed slowly.

Actually, nothing much happened during that time. You could say I spent most of my time peacefully.

First of all, at every mealtime, I cooked with Sister Ayoung using ingredients stored in the cabin. In the process, I learned that her cooking skills were quite good.

When I wasn’t eating, I mostly talked to the nun. She was very curious about me, and I was also curious about her world, so we exchanged many questions. Her stories were sometimes difficult to understand, but they were always interesting.

Sometimes the nuns would perform something called a ritual. They would lay me down, blindfold me, and then the nuns would climb on me and perform the ritual. It was a strange feeling.

Anyway, after spending three days like that, I felt like I had become closer to Sister Ayoung. Her warm heart and wise words were a great comfort to me.

That’s why I thought it would be nice if she met other acquaintances, like Seo-yeon, or Tae-yang…

“Sister, I think you’ll get along well with my other friends. They’re all nice people.”

Sister Ayoung laughed quietly at my words. An unknown emotion appeared in her eyes and then disappeared.

“Brother, I appreciate your kindness, but… … our relationship is special. It’s something we can’t share with others… … it’s ours alone.”

I nodded my head, slightly taken aback by her words, when suddenly a sharp alarm sounded. The sound startled me and I jumped up from my seat.

    “How on earth… … ?!”

Sister Ayoung’s expression also changed in an instant. Her face became filled with shock.

    “What’s wrong, Sister?”

When I asked her in an anxious voice, her expression instantly regained its calmness.

    “Ah… … It’s nothing, brother. It’s just… … an alarm that goes off regularly.

I’ll go out and check for a bit. Just wait here. ”

The nun hurried out of the cabin, and I just watched her back in confusion.

After Sister Ayoung left the secret sanctuary, I stood there dumbfounded. I didn’t know what to do in this sudden situation.

Should I follow the nun’s advice and stay still? Or should I disobey her and go outside to check?

As I was pondering this, a tremendous noise was heard from outside the secret sanctuary. It was as loud as an explosion. I was so startled that I flinched without realizing it.

    “Nun, nun… … ?!”

I shouted in an anxious voice, but there was no answer.

My heart started beating fast. What happened? Was the nun okay? My anxiety grew.

A few minutes later, the door to the secret sanctuary opened. I thought Sister Ayoung had returned and tried to breathe a sigh of relief, but the person who entered the cabin was someone completely different.

    “Tae, Sun-nim? Sister Seo-yeon?!”

Two women entered the cabin. Their faces, which had been frozen in fear at first, were filled with relief the moment they saw me.

    “Little one… … !”

    “Autumn! Are you okay?”

I was quite surprised by their sudden appearance, but at the same time I felt happy. I decided to approach them and ask them some questions.

“I’m fine. But… …Did you happen to see Sister Ayoung outside? She just went out.”

At my question, the expressions of Taeyang and Seoyeon turned grim. I could see a mixture of anger and worry in their eyes.

    “Hic… … ?!”

As I was startled and shivered, Seoyeon changed her expression to a soft one and said.

“… … Oh, that nun. We met outside. We talked about you. ”

    “Really? So what happened?”

To the question full of curiosity, Seoyeon answered with a smile on her face.

“The nun… … said you can come back with us now. She was here for your safety, and she said it’s okay now.”

I felt a little relieved by Seoyeon’s words, but soon uneasy memories came back to me.

“But the nun said that six evil spirits were threatening me… …and that’s already okay?”

The sun took a step closer and placed a hand on my shoulder.

“Don’t worry about that. This body will protect you. You know who I am, right?”

I know who the Sun is. She often tells me when we’re alone. She’s a dragon, and she’s the strongest of the dragons, the Sun Dragon. I’ve never actually seen her true form with my own eyes.

At that moment, when I was relieved to hear Taeyang’s boast, Seoyeon’s expression became incredibly hard. She glared at Taeyang with eyes so cold that my body shiver when I look at them.

Soon, Seoyeon also took a step forward and placed her hand on my other shoulder.

“Autumn, don’t worry. I will always be by your side. I will protect you no matter what danger comes.”

The two hands pressed against my shoulders with increasing force. Their eyes met in the air, and… …the distance was so close that I could see their chests touching and collapsing into shape.

    “Uh, Uh… … Everyone?”

    “”Why?””

As I barely managed to get the words out to stop them, both of them simultaneously turned their heads toward me and answered. I held my breath at the intense emotion I felt from their eerie laughter.

Sure, they were smiling in a friendly manner, but somewhere… … there was a very threatening feeling.

This must surely be my mistake. But even so, my heart sank and I lowered my gaze, barely able to continue speaking.

“That, just… …Thank you both. I’m so glad you were here with me.”

The expressions on both their faces softened slightly at my words. They glared at each other once more, and finally took their hands off my shoulders.

    “Okay. Let’s go now.”

“Yeah. Let’s get out of this remote place quickly.”

I was led out of the cabin by them, but I still felt uneasy.

Sister Seo-yeon and Sister Tae-yang said they had already talked to Sister A-young, but I haven’t even said goodbye yet. Wouldn’t it be too cruel to just leave like this?

“Just a moment. I want to say hello to that… … nun. She did so much for me… … .”

I spoke with some hesitation, but the two people’s reactions were cold. Taeyang cut me off in an impatient voice.

“There’s no time right now. We have to go quickly.”

“Then I want to leave something behind. It’s a bit much to just leave without anything… … .”

“Then let’s hurry up and leave a note. Just hurry up, Autumn.”

Thanks to Seoyeon’s intervention, I found the writing utensil I used in the cabin and wrote briefly on a piece of paper.

    – Sister Ayoung, thank you for everything. I hope to see you again soon. See you in the fall.

I put the note on the table and left the cabin. Taeyang and Seoyeon were waiting with anxious expressions.

    “Okay, let’s go.”

We left the cabin and walked into the forest. After walking a few steps, we looked back and saw that the cabin was getting further and further away.

I thought back to the time I spent with the nun at the camp and the words she had told me. Was I really in danger, as she said? And was I really safe now?

With many thoughts running through my head, I followed Taeyang and Seoyeon into the deep forest. I didn’t know what was waiting for me in the future, but at least for now, I was with people I knew.

    … … … … …

Park A-young barely managed to return to the secret sanctuary.

Her appearance was truly miserable. The nun’s habit, once so sensual, now hung in rags, and her exotic mint-colored hair was tangled with blood and dirt. Blood dripped from the wounds all over her body, dripping onto the floor.

She struggled to open the door. As expected, the cabin was empty. There was no sign of the boy.

    “Brother, my lord… … .”

The voice coming out of her mouth was so quiet that even she could barely hear it. Park A-young staggered into the secret sanctuary.

Lee Seo-yeon, Kim Tae-yang, and an unexpected figure. The fight with them ended in Park Ah-young’s one-sided defeat. Outnumbered, she was crushed without being able to withstand even a few attacks.

Park Ah-young’s wavering gaze finally stopped at a piece of paper on the table. She picked it up with trembling hands and read it.

It was a note left by the boy. The moment she read it, despair swept over her heart.

    “AA …

Park A-young’s scream echoed through the empty cabin.
