Chapter 78 : A Thorough Analysis of Love
by fnovelpia
It’s already been two hours since the broadcast started, but how should I put it?
“There’s no real progress… Maybe it’s because everyone’s single.”
- What the hell?
- What did you say?
- ??? What?
“What? It’s true.”
The chat exploded in an instant.
I chuckled and waved my hand.
Theoretically, it’s correct.
Looking at the relationship issues that have been shared so far, most of the people here either have no romantic experience, or if they do, it’s brief or full of painful memories.
So, stories about pure ‘excitement’ don’t come up.
Experiences of loving someone, being together, feeling your heart race, and all those emotions mixed together to create ‘those’ experiences.
They don’t exist.
I frowned slightly and looked at the monitor.
At this rate, it seemed like I wouldn’t be able to get the information I was hoping for.
The most exciting scene in a drama, the street date scene.
A clichéd moment where, early in a relationship, both people try all sorts of romantic things just to find excitement.
They eat together, go to the arcade… and in the end, on the street, Yeonwoo realizes love.
That kind of scene. So, I figured that if I listened to something, I might be able to act better about love.
“Alright, everyone. Has there been a moment when you felt excited?”
I asked the viewers again.
The chat was silent for a moment.
And then-
- Excitement? What’s that? Is it food?
- My last excitement was when I did the New Millennium Health Exercises ^^
- When I was in elementary school, the person I had a crush on borrowed my pencil and didn’t return it.
Wait, really?
Is this all?
‘Ah, this is a failure.’
I sighed and rubbed my head.
At this rate, I won’t be able to properly learn about romantic feelings!
“No, everyone. Seriously? Didn’t you ever feel excited in a real relationship?”
I asked again.
Then the chat started moving again.
- Yuki, if we knew that, we wouldn’t be here.
- Why are you asking us? You’re the one giving advice.
- You talk first.
“…Alright. I analyzed that excitement comes from daily life.”
- ?
- Daily life?
- Philosopher Yuki
I quietly rested my chin on my hand and stared at the screen.
And I thought.
Excitement comes from daily life.
This wasn’t just a theoretical analysis, but a fact I realized through the way I’ve lived so far.
I’ve never really been in love.
I’ve never had a relationship or a truly romantic one.
But, I’ve felt emotions and lived through them, that’s true.
So, how do I understand ‘love’?
Slowly, I recalled the people around me.
Ahyeon.
She is always a warm person.
She always listens to me, always notices my feelings, and always tries to understand me.
When I think of her, the first thing that comes to mind is the cozy air.
And… the hand that’s always there for me.
No matter how busy I am, no matter how tired I am,
when I talk to Ahyeon, I feel at peace.
Sometimes, she teases me, and sometimes she gives me firm advice.
But, I’ve never disliked it.
I’m lucky to have that person.
If that’s love, then it must be love.
Ahyeon gave me unconditional comfort.
It was like-
The feeling of someone holding an umbrella for you on a rainy day.
The feeling of someone holding your hand when you’re lost.
‘I like being with you.’
That simple feeling, could actually be the most important form of love.
Misa.
She’s like sunlight.
Always bright, always smiling, always joking.
Always energetic, always radiating positive energy.
I sometimes envied her.
Because, when I’m with her, I naturally smile.
Misa is simple.
If she likes something, she says she likes it, and if she doesn’t, she says she doesn’t.
She’s always honest, and because of that, being with her made it easy to breathe.
When I’m with her—
“The moment is enjoyable.”
That feeling naturally follows.
Misa knew how to make people happy.
So, sharing happy moments could also be a form of love, right?
I looked at the monitor.
And then-
Right at this moment, there were so many people in front of me.
They were watching me through the screen, talking to me, reacting to my stories.
Can I say I love them?
I thought for a long time, but the answer was already within me.
They watched me.
They cheered for me.
They listened to my stories.
Just that was enough.
I felt ‘thankful.’
‘I want to show something even more fun.’
‘I want to tell even better stories.’
‘I want to spend even more time with them.’
If those feelings aren’t love, then what else can we call love?
“Everyone, you know… I’m always thankful, right?”
I looked beyond the monitor, watching the reactions of many viewers.
The chat went silent for a moment, then started moving quickly again.
- Huh? A confession all of a sudden?
- Yuki, why are you so emotional today?
- What’s with this awkward atmosphere?
- Did you say it first? Did you say it first?
I shrugged and rested my chin.
“I just, suddenly thought of it.”
I was just talking about the emotion of love,
But I actually forgot the most important thing.
Who is the subject of all these emotions?
I thought of Bihangwoon, Ahyeon, Arin, and many others…
But in truth, the people who have been by my side the longest were these people.
Since when, I wonder.
At first, it was just a broadcast I turned on for fun, but before I knew it, it had become an indispensable part of my ‘daily life.’
I slowly spoke to the viewers.
“Everyone, honestly… I’m not good at saying things just off the top of my head. But, you know, really. I always feel grateful.”
- What is this, is this really an emotional broadcast?
- If you suddenly do this, how are we supposed to react? Lololol
- I’m recording this.
- Do you really mean that?
I chuckled and scratched my head.
“I’m serious. Did you think I would be streaming for this long? At first, I was just going to try it for a little while.”
“But at some point… it felt empty when I didn’t stream.”
“I started enjoying talking to someone.”
“Talking with you all has become very familiar to me.”
I hesitated for a moment.
Then, with a small sigh, I rested my chin on my hand and looked at the screen.
“Isn’t that love?”
The chat window exploded again.
- You said it first! You said it first!
- Hi, Yuki. I’ve liked you for a long time. Will you go out with me?
- Let go, she was the one who made the first move!
“But it’s true. Because of you all, I feel happy and entertained every day… And that feeling is the most precious one to me.”
Seriously, what a bunch of kind-hearted weirdos.
Seeing their reactions, I smiled a little more comfortably.
“So, the conclusion is this.”
“If you ask what love is,”
“Isn’t it simply the feeling of cherishing someone?”
Once again, the chat window ignited.
And as I looked at it, I felt like I understood love a little more.
“Thank you, everyone.”
The rehearsal was over.
The atmosphere on set had changed.
A space that had just been filled with emotions, had now returned to reality.
But the mood did not settle easily.
“…Somehow, you’ve grown again?”
Yoon Byeol-ha’s murmuring lightly echoed across the set.
At those words, the staff’s gazes all turned to one spot.
Kang Suhyun.
Standing under the lights, she still seemed unable to completely shake off the emotions from the rehearsal.
But despite that, her expression was full of confidence.
She lifted her chin slightly and boldly responded to Yoon Byeol-ha.
“Of course. I’m a genius actress, after all!”
For a moment, silence fell.
Then, small chuckles spread among the staff.
The camera director chuckled while adjusting the camera.
“Seriously, where does that confidence come from…”
The costume designer crossed their arms and smiled.
“Well, maybe it’s time we acknowledged it. She is a genius actress, after all?”
“A genius actress, huh? That’s impressive.”
Yoon Byeol-ha tilted his head, crossing his arms.
“Then, can I ask this genius actress one question?”
Suhyun raised an eyebrow.
“What is it?”
Yoon Byeol-ha tapped his fingers.
His gaze was still sharp.
“What exactly did you realize that made you change so much in just one day?”
Suhyun blinked.
Now that she thought about it, why had she changed?
Just yesterday, she only had a vague idea of what love was.
She didn’t fully understand it.
She didn’t know exactly what love was.
But now, it was different.
Her mind was clear.
She could see exactly what acting was.
Instead of pulling emotions out,
It felt like she was naturally flowing within them.
Until yesterday, she was trying to understand love.
But now, she just knew.
She smiled lightly and shrugged.
“I don’t know.”
“…?”
“I just… figured it out.”
Yoon Byeol-ha’s eyebrows lifted slightly.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
Suhyun rested her chin on her hand and playfully said,
“Maybe I just suddenly had an epiphany after giving relationship advice?”
“……”
Yoon Byeol-ha had no idea what she meant, so he just stood there blankly.
“That love isn’t just romantic feelings, and that I already knew what love was.”
At that moment, Yoon Byeol-ha’s lips curled into a small smile.
“Ha, this is getting more interesting.”
He smirked and ran a hand through his hair.
“Alright, genius actress.”
He held out his hand.
“Then, will you show us that genius acting in the next scene as well?”
Suhyun smirked.
She reached out and lightly tapped his hand.
“Of course.”
The energy on set heated up once again.
Now, it was time for the real shoot to begin.
